Premium Member Servant Heart

Servant Heart

O Lord, I know my need for you
For your grace like fresh borning dews
Your ready handmaid, scarred and flawed,
Servant to the servants of God.

You gift me music, ministry,
Writing rhymes from soul felt pleas,
To walk the rough roads you have trod,
Servant to the servants of God.

Let me be less, Lord, you be more,
This my prayer – this I implore –
A servant’s heart, humbled and awed,
Servant to the servants of God

The Queen of Poop

The Queen of Poop

Some call her the Queen of Poop
but this I can report
I have got the inside scoop
from someone on her court

News from in the castle states
a porcelain throne her seat
A pen, her tool when she creates
as others soon retreat

For often when she’s thinking and
the door is left ajar
The strangest kind of stinking can
be smelt so very far

Though no one there will mention,
for you know she is the Queen
No need to bring attention
if they keep the throne room clean

The grunting and the groaning
sometimes echoes down the hall
And often times it’s moaning
as a big one starts to fall

While some of them will smile
and at times might even blush
Each handmaid knows her style
every time they hear the flush

For then she gets to show’em
why so urgent was the need
By handing them a poem
that they cannot wait to read

And I am right there with them
for it falls into my plan
To read a poopy poem
from our favorite poet Jan

Premium Member Precious Heirloom

This precious heirloom from my grandma
is more than a little bit worn.
Sewn with infinitely tiny stitches,
it was much used before I was born.

She was just twenty- three when she sewed it.
Her beloved was fighting a war.
Made I would guess for her hope chest,
dated eighteen hundred sixty-four.

She had added her maiden initials,
so we know she was not married as yet.
I wish she had told me her story,
but my grandma and I never met.

It was passed down to me from a cousin
who had used it to cover her bed,
without giving a thought that our grandma
had made it before she was wed.

I’ve handed it down to my daughter
who now gives it meticulous care.
This coverlet has long outlived the designer
but is elegant proof she was here.

Premium Member That Gilded Cage

If I were famous, I would hide
Behind gates of that gilded cage
Displayed, my privacy denied
Burned by hot spotlights of the stage

Not for me is the glittered path
My face splashed across TV screens
Where strangers ask for autographs
I am the handmaid, not the queen

Celebrity can do some good
Help out a charitable cause
Supplying medicine and food
Giving true heroes the applause

I'm not immune to gold's allure
For cold hard cash, I just might switch
But from fame's name, I would detour
To be anonymously rich.

Premium Member No Thin Line Between Real Love and Hate

I drank of true love today
In it's pure undiluted state,
And all that I once thought was love
I now revile and hate.

The glow and glory of real love
Can best be felt and seen
In him in whom it first began;
Our god, our lord, our king.

The greatest love was his to give
A potent product of his word;
Thus when he speaks all things obey
To testify that he is heard.

Because he let me drink of it
I know I'll never be the same.
I sense it strongest in his word
So in his word I will remain

A willing handmaid of his love;
A maid-in-waiting for his return.
“Come quickly, lover of my soul,
And teach me love. I long to learn”.

Premium Member Twelfth Handmaid

Glints of stardust drip of winter's essence
 as frills of Sagittarian ornaments
ring in the birth of a cycle
flickering with the tempo
of mid-December’s equinox: she is
the twelfth month; the last goddess of angels,
kindling seraphic night passages
and fireplaces robed in leaves
of serenity and thawing roses...
phrase by phrase, page for page, arm in arm
with a hymnal litany,
the goddess of laced winds glides
on an altar of sacred eyes and lips,
chanting about gods, children ,and love.

Inhabiting a residence in grotto white,
she holds iced lanterns and dahlias
to unfurl a season's finesse...
O angel of twelfth handmaid,
time will sing her ripened hope, her celestial rhyme
to revel in a tender parade
of flakes only evening's quilt can ever wrap.
Angel of the twelfth handmaid,
half- luminous, twice-content
virtues pure will encircle halo's Light, amen!

Penned

“Penned”

what happens
when it comes to this
another woman
takes your child

as her own

and red becomes
the bloody murder
penned in a pig stye,
left field left

the apple of her eye

green,
as iceberg
lettuce lies laced
salad days waisted

shredded through windows,

cold
thunderstorms
in the heart betrayed
rigour resigns against pain

the revenant
never left
resonance resides
on repeat morse

tear-streaked
reigning

Premium Member Handiwork of God

The Lord offered His wondrous love
Bringing forgiveness from above
I’m handpicked.

Upholding my faith’s fervent zeal
His truth-covenant shows great seal:
God’s handshake.

Saviour’s branch I am; He’s the vine
My heart accepts His work divine
as handmaid.*

Mighty sovereign of my soul
He leads toward triumphant goal
not offhand.

With Christ making my life blissful
I thank Him, being His grateful
handiwork.

*Luke 1:38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word…

Premium Member Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mother Mary

Angel Gabriel sent from God the Eternal Father
The virgin’s name was Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you
The angel said to her “Do not be afraid Mary”

“You have found favor with God”
“You will conceive in your womb and bear a son”
“You shall name Him Jesus”
He will be great and son of the most High

Of His kingdom, there will be no end
Mary said to angel
How can this be
Since I have no relations with a man

The Holy Spirit will come upon you
The power of the most High will overshadow you
I am the handmaid of the Lord
Be it done to me according to your word

Betrothed

My master gentle but not in battle
Above all in heaven and earth he is first
As a lion reigns as a lamb slain from birth
Power to destroy but gives all life

March 25 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on 2Samuel 13-16

Key Verse– 2Samuel 14:17 Then thine handmaid said, The word of my lord the king shall now be comfortable: for as an angel of God, so is my lord the king to discern good and bad: therefore the LORD thy God will be with thee.

LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY WISDOM DISCERNER

Lord God, You are my wisdom Discerner by Your loving correction
Thank You for hearkening unto my humble supplication
Forgive my deceitful subtlety that leads to my destruction
I repent from my folly’s commotion of carnal reaction.

Lord God, You are my wisdom Discerner by Your peaceful calmness
Thank You for considering my beseeching plea and weeping mournfulness
Forgive my hatred and wrath caused by my bitterness
I repent from my badness due to influencing wickedness.

Lord God, You are my wisdom Discerner by Your prudent counsel
Thank You for granting my sincere request for which I prayerfully wrestle
Forgive my iniquity in doubting Your holy epistle
I repent from my fault that hinders me to excel.

Lord God, You are my wisdom Discerner by Your gracious engagement
Thank You for satisfying my heart seeking for Your fulfillment
Forgive my response of unbelief because of discontentment
I repent from my hypocrisy showing lack of commitment.

Lord God, You are my wisdom Discerner by Your righteous justice
Thank You for reigning over my devotion as Your servant-apprentice
Forgive my shallow devotion against diligent stewardship-practice
I repent from my unfaithfulness that defies Your divine notice.

Lord God, You are my wisdom Discerner by Your overtaking mercy
Thank You for restoring my fainting trust with Your love’s fervency
Forgive my conspiracy with worldliness’ indecency
I repent from my pride of humanistic fancy.

Lord God, You are my wisdom Discerner by Your mighty deliverance
Thank You for strengthening my weary hands in godly aim to advance
Forgive my comprises through fleshly arrogance
I repent from my selfishness with personal interest’s endurance.

Mr. Dan Makes Things

Mr. Dan is such a happy man,
He makes wooden things with his hands.

He makes toy boats and awesome trucks,
And the best, life-like wooden ducks.

Once he made mom a pair of swans,
That she placed on our front lawn.

He made grandma a lovely white cart,
Then painted on it pretty pink hearts.

He made my sister a nice blue bench,
That we sit on by the fence.

Next he made dad, a wooden duck,
Then told him, it would bring him luck.

For me, he made the coolest kite,
That went up and up right out of sight!

Yes, Mr. Dan is such a wonderful man,
I wish I could make things with my hands.

I would make Mr. Dan his very own store,
Then place his name upon the door.

So all could see his handmaid things,
Especially, his bright-red wooden swings.

Mountains and Cowslips

Wandering with friends through romantic and enchanting scenery the sun shines down on us,
The day is cool and clear each step on spongy mossy ground makes us feel as light as the air,
Finding our way along banks of a winding stream with each turn a fresh scene of loveliness,
This beautiful walk gladdens the eyes and charms the heart as nature is shows us her pictures.

While looking at these beautiful canvases of nature it is very hard to choose which is the best,
And looking at the glowing landscape a friend points towards a display of even more beauty,
In this scene there is nothing to say but just look at what is around us each turn makes us glow,
We feel the happiness of nature unfolding her gifts and you just know she has a winsome smile.

And as we walk further along a summer glade we nestle deeper into the bosom of mother earth,
Mountains and cowslips and the good old daisies join the purple heather laid out like a carpet.
The feeling is that nature is not exhausted yet she has many more treasures waiting to unfold,
As the dancing stream bubbles along and winds round an impending rock a surprise awaits us.

There is a scene so grand and wondrous that makes us silent and we are chained together in awe,
It seems up to this time a handmaid have been leading us through the porch and into the hallway,
Now we have arrived we have entered the chamber itself and stood face to face with our host,
Once more nature has opened her house to all her guests and hung forth her richest draperies.

The scenery before us now makes goose bumps rise on our arms and raises hair on our necks.
The sun shines brightly on the waters and the brown watered stream turns into a river of gold,
The land stretched out before us a radiant green that met the turquoise sky on the far horizon,
The caressing breezes carry delicious smells and scents it's a new spring everything is awake.

Blue Tattoo

Gladly the rag falls dead beside the kitchen sink,
Grey and brown with coffee grounds and spillage,
Dripping pensive ochre on the rim,
Sombrely it slipped over the brink
And stank of rape and pillage.
Handmaid of the sweat shop penitentiary,
Her abrasive bruises culled by twilight shades,
In solitary confinement for a lifetime and a day,
Locked into bleak mundanity, her being rudimentary,
She dreams of bygone summer glades.

Cobwebs hang down perilous from the dimming light,
A naked dying sun on bare and fraying flex,
Sheds gossamer bars upon her grating spine
Wherein knots of sheer tension coil their fibres tight,
A flea circus of a prison complex.
The code of the dishmop head that often taps
Against her moribund loop of apron string
Construes a garbage cipher she ignores,
For the cold communication that it raps
Is the sort that fails to tell her anything.

Inward she may focus on her wilder past,
When sex bristled sheathed in fishnet and scarlet
And hidden chaffed the thong of leather lingerie;
Her power and vivacity magnetic, unsurpassed,
Defined and drove the instinct of the harlot.
Still upon the reddened sagging of her upper arm
Scowls the blurred blue stain of a devil replete
With horns and pitchfork, malicious crimson eyes
And a sneer prophesying she was doomed to come to harm
With the self-fulfillment legend: "Easy Meat."

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Reigning Upon My Life

March 11 Scripture Meditations Based on 1Kings 1-4

Key Verse – 1Kings 1:3 Go and get thee in unto king David, and say unto him, Didst not thou, my lord, O king, swear unto thine handmaid, saying, Assuredly Solomon thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? why then doth Adonijah reign?

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR REIGNING UPON MY LIFE

Thank You for reigning upon my life goal
Upholding me in my steward’s role
For me to serve You with all my heart and soul
While seeking Your delight beyond bounty in a bowl.

Thank You for reigning upon my life direction
Upbraiding me in my faulty selfish decision
For me to repent with sincere determination
While asking for Your pardon away from destruction.

Thank You for reigning upon my life desires
Uplifting to fulfill what Your Word requires
For me to strive until my diligence retires
While prioritizing Your kingdom through Your revival fires.

Thank You for reigning upon my life security
Upkeeping me to maintain wellness against infirmity
For me to depend on Your protective stability
While exalting Your name with the best of my ability.

Thank You for reigning upon my life changes
Upstaging me to cope with varied challenges
For me to stand upon Your statutes’ charges
While trusting Your guidance in my travel along faith-carriages.

Thank You for reigning upon my life successes
Uprooting me from sinfulness’ curses and losses
For me to triumph over weakness-crosses
While claiming for your victory assured by Your power-forces.
