Rising early to seek the Lord, while he may be found
I take a breath to cleanse my heart while the world keeps spinning ‘round
As the sun peaks o’er the edge to wake from thoughtful sleep
I find my own thoughts leaning to, and plunge in waters deep
I think about the hands of God; the wounds he took for me
The weight of that heavy cross he bore to set me free
I think of his strong and sure embrace to comfort when I’m down
How those hands lift me up and turn my every frown
When sickness rears its ugly head, His hands are there to heal
I know He’s with me when I pray, hands touch me when I kneel
His hands are there to point the way; they’ve guided all along
His hands, like a father should, correct me when I’m wrong
When my very world is shaking, I know that Heaven stands
When my anxious heart is breaking, I’ll not let go His hands.

Pain in my heart, love on my mind.
Direction and guidance - it’s hard to find.
If I was a bird I would be high in the sky,
Flying…
Looking down and at times diving.
So I suppose I am in some strange way trying to stay above water.
Trials and tribulations that often come my way.
Hard to explain, without complaining, naming, or getting lost in the situation itself.
I’ve read all the self-help literature, but still can’t explain a bit to ya…
We go through our own battles.
We all deal with in a particular way, at the end of the day it’s all the same.
We all need love, so let’s stir it up.
So let’s stir up the pot…
Pain in my heart, love on my mind, pain in my heart.
But love is on my mind.

Watch Me Bloom
Watch me bloom
In the midst of this world
Knocked down,
But not knocked out.
I am able to stand back up;
Able to forgive and love.
Able to smile
Though storms abound
I rise and shine,
Like the flower.
Watch me heal
In the mist of turmoil
Raised up
But our Lord Jesus Christ
I am able to withstand
The tribulations that unfold
Able to accept
Though storms abound
I rise and shine,
Like God’s flower
Yes, I am.

Busy
Thoughts racing through mind all the time
As I grind trying to make a dime and keep it coming in
Because when you’re broke it’s no joke
The laughter elopes until… a storm of tears form from my eyes.
Stay busy writing all the time although it cuts deep it brings a since of peace
That can’t be reached by any other means,
And in between times down on knees praying for forgiveness,
Asking for the strength to bring me from a point of weakness
Back to a place of strength,
Reveal what is fake and make me the realist.
Staying busy…staying true, life isn’t easy I’m living proof.
My mind goes through the roof when I’m spilling out my ink of truth,
Battles that I’m going through,
The time I’m traveling keeps my soul salvaging through all that is worth my time,
Wait in line if you carrying only blindness, I may never call your number because my compass is far beyond ignorance
To stop and be fed a line of lies from lions. My din isn’t empty,
Not all white furniture that no one can enjoy, but a room filled with love and the company of family. Staying busy…word is truth my vision is clear even though I may not have the physical proof…yet!
I’m a star from the sky that’s fallen down to make the world appreciate my light,
I get busy…I get busy.

Trying to stay humble, trying to stay giving.
Down on my knees praying for forgiveness.
Soul bleeds – out in the wilderness.
Tears shed on the gravel, sun sets and brings a healing.
Pushing the limit.
Pushing the limit…
Think that I'm moving but I’ve been stuck.
Trying to stay fresh and on point.
Truth is about being 100, my mind fighting off battles and chaos.
On a roller coaster ride that I need to get off.
My heart prays but it still races with my feet planted in the quick sand.
And the devil steady trying to pull me down, and
I need hand, and a quick deliverance from all the trouble.
Pushing the limit.
Pushing the limit.
Tears want to shed but not one escapes.
I want to shout and scream but all I can give is silence.
Tossing and turning; waking and yearning.
Feel like exploring; am I in mourning?
Pushing the limit.
Pushing the limit...
Working - writing my truth.
Like an engineer creating some buildings.
It’s building up. Building up.
Tossing and turning; waking and yearning.
Feel like exploring; am I in mourning?
Pushing the limit.
Pushing the limit...

Light Verse
I WANT TO BE. WITH YOU
I WANT TO BE WITH YOU,
WHEN THE HEAT OF THE SUN,
IS NOT ENOUGH FOR YOUR HEART.
I WANT TO WIPE YOUR TEARS,
WHEN THE RAIN OF THE SKY,
GOES ACROSS TO YOUR EYES.
I WANT TO BE WITH YOU
WHEN YOUR WORLD FALLS DOWN,
AND YOU GET LOST IN THE WAY OF THE LOVE.
I WANT TO BE WITH YOU.

Blank verse
The cauldron in heat fumes with alchemy chemicals,
Careful she decides to spread her witches’ stronghold,
To the palace walls and the kingdom she learns to control;
Mixture for His Highness the Emperor she would soon wed.
Not a soul would dare cross swords with her magical power,
And the ones that did perish in the castle's old dungeons,
Never saw day light as they grew old and weak in their death.
The king obeys each wish and command she chooses to give.
Few drops from her potion and the king would lust to marry,
Making her dignified empress queen in this land of noble knights,
Her only obstacle, the knight she loved chasing the princess;
It would break her heart to destroy his youthful ecstasy.
In a goblet she presents His Majesty her recipe,
The loyal warrior knight confiscates the liqueur to drink,
Drawing his sword he grabs and captures the sorceress;
Taking her away never to be seen in the kingdom:
