THE BOMBING OF DRESDEN-- MONSIEUR L'VAMPYRE -
There was a night, I still recall it now,
as winters cold had turned to soft and mild,
and gave us hope, that time would still allow
the passing by--of death--as death was filed.

What manner of a beast, or tyrant king,
would set the path to bring destructions' fall
from out the darkened sky, who dare would bring
such catastrophic death to one and all?

Was not my Dresden safe from what was heard
of cities to the north--they fed the flame;
these questions yet remain, who gave the word
that made the good and bad turn out the same?

All evil justified and made in haste
is evil just the same as any waste.

I'd only just returned, in my own way,
within the dark from Paris, where I be
caught up with joy of liberation day,
when love was made alive and running free.

But lo! My thirst was filled, before too long,
my heart grew weary to be with mine own,
so in the dark my flight was swift and strong
and ended at an inn that few have known.

Perched on a hillside looking down the plain
from off the balcony, the Dresden lights
gave glimmer to a cold and drizzle rain
a beauty unsurpassed by any rights.

Invited for a night of talk and wine,
I settled in with a new friend of mine.

And so we wined and danced--into the night
not thoughtful of the war, though raging on,
and Gretchen, lovely Gretchen, felt my bite
upon her neck until her soul was gone

and part of all the loves I ever knew
so thus she came to be one of my own;
and shaken, we both did as lovers do,
and stared into the night for things unknown.

Quite suddenly the groan of engines' roar
though distant, filled the night, and deafening
and over Dresden, telling what's in store,
the fallings lights lit up just ev'rything.

And lighted by Pathfinders, Dresden knew
what ending all our world was coming to.

You Are My Drug of Choice

Your beauty is zin in thoughts of you I swim
Feeling relaxed within harassed at the fact that I’m a wimp
When I try to let you in best expressed with my pen
The way I feel this is real untangible but I can feel
A connection look into your eyes and feel protection
From a lack of affection
In your atmosphere I’m at recess like Gretchen
Your in the east I’m a west wind
Barely come to a close
We continue in circles relapsing but I want to overdose
I just sit and wait with my eyes closed
Meditating trying to get rid of resistance like diodes
Seeking hope for you and I or just freedom to fly
Closer to you I’m high
Freefalling ignoring others passing by
On my way down loves my allaby
So im guilty as charged filthy with stars
Day dreaming of you then I put you in bars

Feeling blessed by your presence
Deep in the thought of your origins and essence
The feel of your lips pressed against mine in a session
Of indulging, examining your profile and emotion
Your smokey silohuette in motion
Choked up when togetherness is broken
Stimulated by your soul, I’m sold
Now I’m generating stocks to hold
Pleasure particles are overgrown
Synapse is overwhelmed me and you in our own realm
Our bodies light up with touch
Eyes want all the light our senses can conjer up,
Vegas
Hoping our interests are not different, collars up
On the same page when it comes to lust
And when it finally comes to we simultaneously combust

~In placid thought her beauty lies in wait
for what the future holds in dormant trust.
Such youth a squander, time cares not her fate
for loveliness displayed is merely dust.
In pomp attire, to woo a fancy’s eye,
embellished with the floral gifts of spring,
the pigments fade beneath the azure sky
portrayed upon the hills where swallows sing.
Though she will be adored but never see
this suitor without hope for love so sweet,
her aura beckons, posed eternally,
and ever will I hope her heart to beat.
A graceful brush strokes beauty into art
but never will it paint a beating heart.

Gretchen At the Spinning Wheel

(based on Franz Schubert)

wordless at this moment
virginal in a closed room
dark as a berry

Gretchen maid of wood
webbed as an old barn
eyes drops of glass

that seek a window
empty of steps, cast
ing a look at

all that brings no favour
or slowly turns the wheel that
darkly bares the thread;

the cloth of love forsaken;
heartpace of an empty view;
a sort of end, cut.

Homelessness Isn'T Always Hard

it's a good thing
it's summertime

a gentle night breeze
stirs the air above me.

as I stretch out
just below the stone
wall that encircles
the hallowed ground.

I am surprisingly
comfy with a belly
full of Dunkin Donuts
donated by Gretchen,
who wears the apron.

here is where my
home is for the next
eleven days and nights.

the turf is soft,
the company quiet.

nobody wants to
sleep in a cemetery,
except me.

doesn't seem to
bother me.

the morning dew
will softly awaken me.
as Gretchen pours
another cup of charity.

patrons will leave
the daily newspaper
for me to read.

the water and soap
works just fine in
the men's room.

the deodorant from
the drug store dumpster
keeps me from smelling
like the homeless man
that I am.

Duke LaDuke at
Astro Bowl told me
yesterday that he'd
start me as a mechanic
on Monday.

the Monday after that
I'll have my own place
and I can send for my
wife and infant son.

this was supposed to
be hard and in some
ways it was.

in many ways,
it wasn't so tough.

even enjoyable
for a spell.

but, eleven days is
plenty to contemplate
the sunrise and birdsongs.

these daily affirmations
can be appreciated just
as well by the salaried man.

Gretchen Smith

you know how people are and how things go in life you need to prepare and be
stern and happy through out life and just know things that you need to know and
do something about them.....sometimes god says things to you that go right to
the core of your heart and you are one again with yourself.

The Best of Us

I've written this poem for a friend who passed away this weekend...

RIP Gretchen. You will be missed. Condolences and prayers to your loved ones. Blessings, love and light.

The best of us
By Michelle Morris
15/02/2023

Now that you're gone
It feels like a light has gone out
In our world; in our Universe
Stopping time; stopping hearts

You were the best part of us
You were my best friend
Beloved and remembered
With fondness and mourning

Your suffering did not go unnoticed
By God and His Angels
They've taken you into Heaven
To be in God's warm embrace

Our family has lost your sparkle
But Heaven shines a little brighter
We have faith that we'll meet once more
When it's time for our souls to take flight

Now that you're gone
The colours feel less bright
The moon looks so much sadder now
She mourns the stars at night

You remain the best of us
A star lighting up the heavens
We will hold your memory close
And let our love remain neverending

Lady Name Moonlight

1 / 2

Poem#42
02/15/22 Lady Name Moonlight
Do you remember the lady's name Moonlight from La Vee Paris? She was a model and she was christened as well. She adores the God of the heavens, who is Jehovah, God, as well as his son Jesus Christ. She has a gorgeous, strong brown complexion. Additionally, I learned French and English so I could do everything through Christ's strength. Just like Moonlight, she believes that she is bound to God by faith. So, Moonlight whom is a lovely woman; have a strong faith and the strong foundation, so seeing this lady example she shows the wisdom of her faith. So, remember as believers have to seek the Lord he is knocking at the door in your heart. Lady Name Moonlight
                                                                      By Ms. Gretchen Mickler

Woman of Dynasty

woman of the dynasty era was a queen; in Egypt, she was a very lovely woman who looked
2 / 5
at the horizon and saw the oasis's water. Remember when the water looks clear and see the moonlight when the lady of the dynasty era. The woman of the horizon within who needs to be free from it all needs to find her way from people who have been hurt by other people who hurt people and say oh you childish but when someone shares anything; then a woman must communicate is the key at this time; when someone says their armor you but not show it when people say they love you not showing it, because the way how people take things to personal so much to someone who says they love you to they do not show it but;
3 / 5
telling the other person not towards you that I never will understand.
So just know when someone is hurting or taking you for granted; if your spirit is leaning to your gut remove yourself from people in general.
Just ask someone to learn not to take anything the good, bad and the ugly of people they say there are a christen but do not know God’s Name is JEHOVAH, they say all his titles, but they do not say his real name.
So as a living vessel and getting correction taking me back to Jonah inside the fish and as humans, we have to learn as older women not to take anything personal also; when you allowed another person to order then you do not speak to you that, much but they talked about someone else that is not good, order women making the other woman or friend or sister as a victim, as a child of the King who knows Jehovah not just his titles.
Shalom

The world needs more love and peace from upon high; from not hurting each other but being bold people must learn to realize GOD’S NAME IS JEHOVAH GOD.

Just Like a Ship

Like a ship we must learn how to navigate and chart our course by developing and committing to showing up for ourselves. Even during the flat or low season. Starting now, we as human beings must keep faith within our hearts. Even if the ships of old did not reach their destination.Yet still, God’s creation has to develop knowledge and commit to their purpose.

Just like a ship that moves into the water during the flat season, remember Jehovah God Almighty is within us; and He is the Captain of the old Zion Ship. The scripture says, “no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined the things that God has prepared for those who love him.” Let us build a bridge over the waters because the Kingdom of God and the return of the Lord Jesus Christ is at hand.

Season of Spring

Poem #39
                                         Seasons of Spring
Consider the sight of evergreen trees and levees falling to the ground. The spring season is here, I love it. Spring makes me feel calm, peaceful and humming.
Nature raised up my mind, soul, and inner man as spring filled. His unknown time is fast approaching, and the seasons are speeding up.
For that says just know the seasons is a time capsules, we as Christians cannot rest no time, we have to seek the LORD awhile we still can he is coming shortly unexpected. So be so ready for his appear in the awaits.
                                                      Seasons Of Spring
