Best Fortifies Poems
Love feels like it’s magical;
your heart burns like it's on fire.
And your ears only hear hope;
not whispers of a liar.
When trust's shield starts to weaken,
he shores it up with more lies.
And an outpouring of pain
replaces truth as it dies.
Fear fortifies nagging doubts
as they morph into goodbyes.
And failed dreams discreetly drown;
in tears spilled from crying eyes.
Yet, time carries you away;
to where hope outweighs sorrow.
For, like a river, it flows
toward a new tomorrow.

Hear ye, hear ye: Listen to my timeless presentation
If you'd like to conquer anger, irritation, or vexation.
My name is Emerson, Ralph Waldo if you please,
I founded Transcedentalism, creating a fresh breeze
Which elevates and fortifies an individual's will and spirit,
To withstand provocations intended expressly to smear it.
The vehicle is simple, a child's plaything:
A spinning top designed to give us a wing,
To raise us above petty squabbles and strife,
Bringing peace to the world, enriching life.
The top has four sides, each with a letter,
Symbolic of strategies to help us to better
Withstand darts and arrow aimed by others at us
As we keep our own counsel: Discuss---never cuss.
Spin the top as fast as you can,
Wait eagerly to see where it lands;
If 'B' is face up, it means 'Breath:'
So 'Take a Deep Breath;'
Exhale -- Anger's died an angelic death!
Spin you magic top again:
If it lands on 'S,'
Smile your widest smile,
Grin your jolliest grin:
Now there's no way at all for irritation to seep in!
Once more twist your top;
Watch it land on 'C.'
'Count to 100,' then wait and see:
From vexation you'll flee;
You'll feel only glee!
The last side the top can land on is 'L.'
'L' stands for 'Loss' -- Compare it with 'Gain:'
You Anger will only land you in Trouble again,
Whereas Peace and Tranquility win the day,
Providing adults much-needed opportunity for play.
Now I know our tops are not cheap,
They're priced pretty high;
But what matters money
When you soar to the sky?

"Poetry is just the ash"
voices clearly purged though
boldness of inky ash laden passages,
echoing that which most
words cannot convey,
pen cleanses sins & fortifies the soul
speaks in volumes of verbose spirit
weeping in smudges of tearful metaphors'
bloodied and effervescent on the page,
outpouring pathways to sentiment's reward
& emotional translations' endeavor
amid transcribed tribulations,
piercing the eye for all to seek
reflections smattered upon poetry
within prerogative's freedom
& simply usurped realities
“Poetry is just the evidence of life. If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash.” ? Leonard Cohen

My father's tattered house breeds red demons,
and my mother's kitchen feeds black spirits,
We grew up loving demons and black evil spirits that flies in the afternoon.
Our neighbours keep their eyes away from us,
They shut the eyes of their dogs when ever we are passing by,
Even their goats know the sound of our footsteps.
We become sour and bitter to their craving eyes but our faces are always friendly,
we draw the lines of fear in the hearts of our neighbour's children.
They run and run and run with despair
At the sound of our chorus.
They assumed we carry demons and spirits in our pockets as we walk by.
They fear the lines on our faces,
They fear the jigida on our arms,
They fear the marks on our forehead,
They curse the morning to pop if we were the first they see;
They fortifies the sand in front of their houses as father's footprints plant on them.
They call us unprintable names with
A flammable tongue.
We wear shame and disgust around our neck chameleoning like the chameleon.
The scars drawn,
We become a mourning song that remove sleep from eyes.
Blemish created,
We became the architect of evil that the villagers never had.
When the world becomes silent, and busy legs no more walk,
Their hearts become our drums.
Children shriek from different corner
at the sight of our thatch roof.
Accusation fingers pour on us daily,
Legs hide from us as they see us coming,
We tried forming another body to be
Sane from our unknown sins,
But our bones, tissues, muscles, veins sailed away from their roots.
These are our scars,
A scars created by what we don't know,
They call us "Osu", a caste from the gods but, shall we become an empty birds in our own land?
What kills most of us are things we don't know!
Leaving our shadows to wander in the dark is like a pimple on a corpse.
Innocence is a fool in the hands of tradition,
Ask your father the different between your left and right hand before he kicks the bucket.
We've lost a map of who we are!
We've missed a road tour to our root!
And grandfather is gone to abyss but these scars of discrimination remains.
Yours Poetically,

Blank verse
Rudderless and without sails
I'm adrift- mind wanders free
upon an endless sea of sadness
abounding in storm debris
Was that a ragged fragment
of my life that floated by?
Taunting tease, just out of reach
too torn to identify
Leaning back, I close my eyes
and count this journey's great cost
child, fortune, family
somehow, all but hope was lost
From my mast, where sails would be
that golden thread dangles yet
billowing fierce with each gust
tangling into a net
It seems to multiply there
growing thicker, stronger still
I watch it weave a new sail
as it fortifies my will
Braver now, I stand at helm
and face this fathomless fear
charting a bold new course through
confusion, anger, and tears
I've heard it said that anger
is just sadness in disguise
and scouting my horizon
I believe this true (and wise)
For the tempest that destroyed
both my ship and confidence
wasn't tragedy or fate
but old sorrow grown immense!

Beauty stems from an inner source, mixed with a tang of mercy…
Beauty elevates the face, coerces a smile, caresses the dimples, fortifies the eyes…
Beauty
Beauty embraces the homeless, shelters the elderly, provides for the orphans…yeah beauty.
Beauty is inside me and oh yeah it is inside you…
Hooray Beauty!!!

Preeminent is the birth of Christ.
We worship his life and seek his devise…
His dominant presence arises.
Aroused is our spirit.
Our soul is incandescent.
We are obligatory to the glory of God.
Luminescent is the essence of The Holy Scripture.
We sing gloriously.
We pulsate victoriously.
The Gospel is our voice harmonically.
Christ died on Calvary.
Hoisted to achieve amazing deeds, our life is a radiance of Heaven’s lights.
We worship the life of Christ.
Ascendant to prophesy of the world, peace is influential while war destroys.
Famine is metaphorically dumbfounded for the knowledge of God’s apostles.
Walk in rightful luminosity.
Insofar, your life is brilliance perceived.
We shout gloriously.
We pine exultantly.
The Gospel is our harmonic expression.
Christ died for our salvation.
Today we praise Christ, the Son.
Today we praise God, the Father.
One does not supersede the other.
Thru the Holy Spirit, we thump.
Through the Holy Spirit, God sends his Son.
The beat of our heart pounds in prayer as we bow.
Knees bent, by all means, amidst effervescent shimmering.

Beatify the Lord’s way!
Our reliance is devoted to the Gospel resonated!
In mantra fortifies giving the highest praise to the life of Christ!

This wondrous web of life bespeaks a true spiritual nature,
and is there for each of us by Almighty God’s own sacred,
heavenly plan in our times of happiness and strife, and do
know that it fortifies, both the mortal and mystical aspects
of our existence which define each of us as human beings
as we each progress onward throughout our lives by the
merciful grace and true eternal blessing of Almighty God.
Amen.

God supplies me wondrously with His grace
Bounty so generous, blessings’ delight
Nod of His favour fortifies faith-brace
Beauty divine, glowing bright with love’s light
Pod to blossom for fruits’ gratitude praise
Plenty to share along service-sunlight…
Bliss in my heart, with Christ’s peace, I reach out
‘Tis my thanksgiving* way to heaven’s route.
*2Corinthians 9:11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

Ottava rima
First light of morn, I live for
The dark of night my soul forgave
Forthwith, I needed light
Night lingered like the grave.
Oh, what warm embrace with smile
I revel in light for a while
Henceforth, the Source I see
It gets me on my knees.
Light, water, fresh air I feel
Fortifies every part of me
Therefore, my honey feels
My tender touch from Thee.

Some parents set a bad example
when don't make their children tremble:
no fear of an omniptent God,
no faith to sustain them in hard times;
they themselves havel lied,
and their seed have no love that fortifies.
Tomorrow these boys and girls
will have no vision, no future with an indelible event:
young ladies impregnated by irresponsible boys,
who smoke and drink holding no steady job,
and worst of all, they will steal and rob
to support their habits...would kids want daddies like that?
What's happened to the united, caring and godly family
that worshiped God and gave Him thanks for their prosperity?
What do we see after its breaking-up: hate and rebellion:
with mom and dad being neglected and entirely forgotten?
We have seen the outcome of this social plague: people relying on welfare;
no, our forefathers never experienced or even imagined
of being the scapegoats: the abused and the unloved...
who are those young men and women on the city's streets, or anywhere?
Why are they in such a pitiful state? Don't they have eyes that sag
and lips that are drier than sand? You may find one of your kids there!
