A symphony of simplicity,
The rugged log cabin with the very tall spruce tree.
Decorated lovingly by the parents and children,
Home made decorations.
Deliciously baked cookies in the shape of Christmas symbols,
A gold ribbon tied to each so you could place the cookie on the tree.
The delicious popcorn and red and green paper chains,
Gold stars cut out of paper and carefully placed on the tree.
The rugged table and chairs set with a beautiful tablecloth,
Candles of beeswax placed on the table with branches of spruce.
The dishes simplistic yet beautiful,
The parents and children wore pioneer fashions.
The women wore long dresses of cotton,
The men wore handsome suits.
Presents homemade with care and love,
Placed under the Christmas tree.
A dinner of home cooked potatoes and roast beef with sauce,
A delectable homemade pie and freshly baked bread.
All cooked by mother and the children,
They all sat at the table, father said a prayer.
Thankful to be together again.

Angels divine
The many branches
Favorite spruce and pine boughs
Home made popcorn garlands
A beautiful tall evergreen tree
The many bright lights twinkle brightly
Spheres of the rainbow coloured balls and pretty bows
The ringing of golden bells on the exquisite tree branches
Many home made decorations cookies and candy canes and cakes

What is Christmas to you?
Oxen's stall-or-shopping mall,
Mangers with hay-or-non-working day.
Angels at night-or-tinsels and lights,
Shining star-or-credit card.
Shepherds guarding their flock-or-what can be in that shiny red box.
A gift of gold-or-gold to hold.
Peace within-or-a tie again.
Wise men on bended knee-or-having the largest Christmas tree.
Time to reflect and think-or-simply time for a drink.
A time to share-or-gift wrap everywhere.
Celebrating with the family-or-having dinner served by three.
Quiet pause with kids and spouse-or-a highly decorated house.
Fulfilled promise from above-or-crowds and lines, and push and shove.
Silent night-or-partying till daylight.
The first Noel-or-stomp and yell.
The prelude to the Saviour's Cross-or-is it only Santa Claus.
Joy to the world-or-ribbon properly curled,
God come down from eternity-or-"What did you buy for me?"
The virgin birth-or-How much is that present worth?
The reason for the season-or-celebration with no reason.
Promise of life to come-or-"gimme some, give me some"
Smiles and hugs-or-"Bah'Humbug'"
The Birthday of our King-or-something else that needs returning'
Carol's sung by a mighty choir-or-merely chestnuts roasting in the fire.
Giving help to those in need-or-out on the slopes with blinding speed.
A little child's eyes opened wide-or-another chance for a snowmobile ride.
The baby boy-or-simply a brand new toy.
Everyday we are asked to chose,
So much to gain-or-so much to lose.
It's not for me to tell you what to do,
What does Christmas really mean to you?

.
I laid my head down, upon blanket of cotton weave.
Maybe soft like the one Jesus was wrapped, in a swaddling sleeve.
It was at last Christmas tomorrow, an this was the eve.
But in Santa I no longer now have reason to believe.
Oh what is Christmas to all now days
We still today give our Lord praise. (chorus)
The wise men were swirling in my thoughts tonight
Thoughts of Jesus once cradled in his mothers arms so tight.
The spirt of the night glistened in the candles twinkling light
I searched among my memories of better days with all my might.
Oh what is Christmas to all now days
Many not all still love our lord in so many many ways (chorus)
But all I could think of was the expense it brought to familes.
Credit cards extended to limits, depts, homeless with chilling extremeties.
I wonder what Jesus might say as this once was his birthday.
If he were here might he gather his deciples for yet to again pray.
Oh what is Christmas to all now days
Friends of families all come and go some astray (chorus)
Why does misfortune affect so many with extreme debt?
Depression claims have of this God fearing world from finance fret
I try to understand as I am an adult now you see
But this world it stll so much baffles me.
Oh what is Christmas to all now days
Bills and credit cards of all who get a pay (chorus)
If we were really celebrating his birth, are we if his worth,
To bemore appreciative of his fathers creations......one is earth.
God could have given us any thing at all
But he chose a gift more meaningfull, his own son to fall.
Oh what is Christmas to all now days
The joy of love and Christ's brotherhood some say (chorus)
He gives his love, his almight power.
He lifts us up in the final hour.
Oh what is Christmas to all now days
Candles lit for the as Christmas approaches day by day. (chorus)

IS JESUS IN A BOX?
The lights are off, the tree is down
They've all been packed away
In an outbuilding or the attic
To await next Christmas Day
The ornaments all are carefully wrapped
In their individual box
The wreaths and centerpieces
And all the Christmas socks
But where did you put the Baby
Who was in a stable born
Is He packed up and laid away
Until next Christmas morn
Or is He living in your heart
And with you every day
Do you tell others about Him
Or is He packed away
The ornaments and all the lights
Can remain where they are stored
But you have a responsibility
To tell others about our Lord
To keep Him in the attic
To me, is surely wrong
He should be high and lifted up
And your life be filled with song
So don't put Jesus in a box
To be visited once a year
Keep Him in your heart year 'round
And your life will be filled with cheer

Christmas 2004
A beautiful Christmas day,
Bright warm winter days,
Clouds fluffy and white ,
Decorations on the exquisite Christmas tree,
Each homemade, like cookies or popcorn garlands,
Frost on the window pains, icy and decorative,
Gold and beige velvet ribbons,
Happy and healthy foods at Christmas,
Icicles long and jagged along the rooftops,
Jays blue and white sitting in an evergreen tree,
Kings of the Orient, carrying gifts for the Christ child,
Love and kindness at Christmas
Mary mother of Jesus and wife of Joseph,
Newly fallen snow, fresh and crisp,
Osentacious gatherings enhanced, and sociable,
Praises for the festive season,
Quiet snowflakes falling gently on the earth,
Royal and regal celebrations,
Silent night to be revered,
Tunes of Christmas sung by the choir,
Universal days of friendship and good will,
Variety of entertainment to celebrate the season,
Wealthy winter days filled with favorite sports,
Xtra hours to be together for the winter vacation,
Yesterday and today's Christmases revered,
Zealous ambitions during the Christmas season and thankfulness.

'TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS
'Twas the night before Christmas in Bethlehem town
When the glory of God shone all around
It was first seen in a bright shining star
Viewed by wise men in the east from afar
It was seen by shepherds keeping watch o'er their sheep
While the people in town were all fast asleep
God's glory was seen by angels on high
As they sang praises to God from up in the sky
It was seen by the animals in a stable so bare
As the Baby called Jesus, that night, was born there
The Baby's mother, Mary, saw God's glory too
And her husband, Joseph, as he knelt down to view
The glory of God, as seen in a child
Born in a stable, so meek and so mild
Now on Christmas Day, as we all celebrate
The birth of our Savior, who grew to be great
Let's all call to mind what a beautiful sight
To see God's glory on that first Christmas night

For thirty years, God's Christmas plan had culminated into a ministry of Love, Hope even
fear and anger. Masses were fed by little, masses were healed, by but a touch of His loving
healing hand. Yet through all this, there was still fear, uncertainty, guile and betrayal.
Even
those chosen to be His Apostles were weary of Him. Even after all He had shown them,
taught them. Yet He foresaw it all, lamentations, denial, betrayal. Then He was brought
before Pilate
a man not wanting to convict nor imprison. Were the Scribes and Priests the ones who really
held power? Where was God? Where was His guidance? Where was His Love for His Son?
Yes God's eternal plan was present, through man to sacrifice His Son, who was willing, for
He understood it must be done, so decreed, Heavenly power fulfilling. To Calvary's Cross,
to suffer such loss, to bury in a tomb for three days, whilst resurrection power had begun to
tower, stone rolled away from the cave. Among Alleluias from Angels on high, parallel to
the Gloria's sung on Christmas Day, where in a manger He lay, God's pure infant Son. Full
circle was present, revealed to mankind, Birth to Death from Eternal obedience , from
manger to cross, the story unfolds, year to year, age to age, still intense, still Celebrated
by those who believe Christ has died, Christ has risen, Christ will come again. Let us
proclaim the Mystery of Faith........ In the Eternal Christmas Plan........

Christmas had come and gone,
Once again alone,
The Christmas tree stood tall,
Simply adored by all.
Many decorations on the shelves,
Packed by the elves,
Values and bargains galore,
Purchased at the store.
Days of Christmas shopping complete for another year,
Enjoying the days and nights that are dear.
Celebrations with relatives and friends,
Days and nights that we wish would never end.
Santa Claus returned to the north with his reindeer,
The next Christmas far rather than near.
Thankful to God for his loving care,
What a beautiful time of year and fair.

go tell it on the mountain
over the hills and far away
go tell each and every one that Jesus is alive today

for the birth of Jesus will always be the greatest gift of all
he came to save us he gave us everything that he had
so this christmas have a great celebration rejoice and be glad
Jesus is the reason that we live
and his love is the best thing to others that we can give

What is more beautiful than thee,
The exquisite Christmas tree.
With lights so bright,
Shinning on Christmas night.
Ever so elegant and tall,
To be viewed by all.
The decorations many and varied,
To our house they were carried.
Spheres red and gold,
Beautiful to behold.
The Christmas manger,
Mary, Jesus, Joseph, and the Wisemen.
Sounds of Christmas to be heard,
Many wise and exceptional words.
Parents and children gather round,
To praise the Lord, what a good sound.

The tree so tall,
Rising above all.
My favorite evergreen,
From a distance seen.
At Christmas standing in the living-room,
To be celebrated soon.
Decorated with loving care,
Bells, balls, ribbons, lights so fair.
Then we look forward to the presents under the tree,
Wrapped ever so carefully and free.
Ribbons and Christmas paper there,
Many packages are here.
Parents and children gather round,
You don't hear a sound.
To celebrate Christmas day,
What a beautiful stay.

CHRISTMAS
Christmas is a special time
Many things make it so
Decorations, Christmas trees,
Mistletoe – and snow
There are carols to sing, gifts to wrap
And friends to stop and see
Christmas cards and twinkling lights
And presents 'neath the tree
We go to church to worship God
And thank Him for His Son
Whose birthday we will celebrate
'Til life on earth is done
This special season comes along
Only once each year
So let us sing God's praises
For all the world to hear
Let us not forget to love
The ones who are alone
Let's offer them the friendship
Which they have never known
Let's learn to be more Christ-like
Now's the time to start
And we'll have Christmas all year long
Deep within our heart

Tall and beautiful the Christmas tree,
Arrived home with care,
A strong stand anchored the tree,
There was a beautiful angel on the top,
Snowflakes of white,
Different Christmas balls with snow scenes,
Pretty red and green ribbons,
Tiny gold bells that chime,
Wooden decorations chisled carefully,
A royal manger scene,
Favorite Santa and reindeer,
A tall snowman,
Wooden gold stars,
Santas of different shapes and sizes,
A blessing for many days of Christmas,
God's miracle to us all.
