The Miracles of Thanksgiving

A day of autumn beauty,
Beautiful in every way,
Canada is a land blessed,
Dance of the leaves, when the wind blows,
Each person thankful for Thanksgiving reunions,
Free to celebrate and be together,
Goodness given to us by the Lord,
Houses and apartments warmed and comfortable,
I like being there, at home,
Jay the beautiful bluebird that sits in the pine tree,
Kindness everywhere, a land to be proud,
Love and friendship prevails with every good neighbor,
Miracle, God's blessing,
New faith and days of worship at church,
October days and nights, the fading of summer,
Parents and children gather for Thansgiving at church and house.

Prayers

Lord,

In Heaven what shall I do?
All I really know is to praise you

Lord,

Dearest God
You made the flowers and the sod
The rain
And the dance and you heal all our pain

In your own special way

Lord,

Keep your son Autumn safe in the Middle East
And help us to feed your children without enough to eat
And hear the cries of needs unmet

Lord,

Thank you for this day
This chance

Lord,

Bless Mama and Papa and little Lance

Lord

Bless the poets
And the singers and the people who know not what they do and those that sit
And do nothing.

Lord

I worship thee.
Thank you.

Amen

Rotation

Sleep well in Winter, my beloved earth
While eagerly I await the birth
             Of Spring.

Bring forth new life then watch it grow
From tender shoots and fragile blooms
To summer's wealth of richest hues.

Prepare your Autumn bounty
      To nourish my body
      And renew my soul

               Then

Sleep well in Winter, my beloved earth
While eagerly I await the birth
             Of Spring

Days of Thanksgiving In Retrospect

I am thankful in retrospect,
For the blessings on this God given Earth.

To have transcended to a planetary space and returned,
God's blessings continue.

The autumn days and nights,
Forever a beautiful memory.

Walks amongst the pines and maples,
The beauty of nature surrounds us.

A scampering squirrel gray or black,
Exquisite blue jays, with spread wings,

Sounds of Nature.
A Thanksgiving cornucopia,

Filled with fresh fruits,
Placed on a Thanksgiving table.

Shared with relatives and companions,
Delicous foods prepared for this day.

Days of living with excellence,
Thankful to a forever cxaring God.

The Autumn Walk

I am guesting in God's house,
Multi-dimensional and profound,
The beautiful scenery, tall maple trees,
Displaying their autumn colours,
The green grass lined with rainbow coloured leaves,
What exquisite shapes,
A divine tall evergreen, almost reaching the sky,
Clusters of pinecones on the upper branches,
Raindrops fall on the autumn scenery,
Moistening the leaves and trees,
The air is so refreshing, cool then warm,
When the bright sunshine appears,
I am alone in God's world for awhile,
Only to be greeted by a companion now and then,
I reach the palace as complex as God's kingdom,
Thankful to be home again,
Seasons are appreciated this way,
What a generous and complex God.

Thanksgiving

The lord sends us thanksgiving each year,

Holy memories of parents and children reunited,

A beautiful autumn walk, leaves blushing colors,

New reasons for worshipping God,

Kind and thoughtful days at church,

Songs of worship and thanksgiving,

God sends us many excellent blessings

Islands of traditions, blessing humanity,

Very devout time of year,

Ideas to transcend conformity,

Now the tables are set decoratively,

Goodness and thankfulness to the Lord.
