Premium Member Evolution of a Life Shared

love born ‘neath star sequins

a hand extended and life’s slow dance begins

confidential whispers exchanged

vows professed on a sun-kissed beach

eternity held in promises

leaping dolphins revel in joy

and they return when azure skies beckon the first-born’s toes to touch the ocean

when the family erects sandcastles while waves lap the shore

when the birds have left the nest as autumn fog covers the sea

when aging lovers see sunset casting a pink aura on lazy clouds

when the final glimmer of light surrenders to celestial curtains

until the surviving spouse emits a sigh in the solitude of darkness

Sonnet Three

Scattered across a thousand cities
(After the last window darkens).
The moon speaks hidden fantasies,
and the sleepy sunset sharpens.
Emerging exactly in the last ludicrous light
(The dawn of you erects constellations).
Softly, with strolling lips singing spectrally slight,
the rumor of your touching exceeds all aspirations.
For blindly, as the nails upon the cross
(A dainty destroyed hero loves you).
Beyond falling for or feeling loss,
your least amazing smile will do.
So give what gives meaning to meaningful,
the life inside you undefined beautiful.

Premium Member Who Can We Truly Trust

Soul passion is not a simple task.
This is grasped as a soulful bask,
To reserve one's sound mind and soul,
To your loved ones, but not a hack.

They set down those blessed vows as rule,
In a precise scheme, that's the goal,
Since the pen-pusher by now knew,
I don't dismiss the budding role.

Spot our bloodline evolved and grew,
When our souls stand, sorely renew,
Our feelings may become muddled,
With the one, we esteem for true.

Life's chore complications crumbled,
May seldom grasp its rate stumbled,
And shepherd a partner or spouse,
Too wide, gloom, and bleak shaft fumbled.

Although, we relinquish word swears,
To be prized, esteemed with obeys,
to discard each other as well,
our arduous traipse continues.

Our sound bodies are shaped well,
that's why many of us can tell,
In the sort of low dust and grime,
Into the scum of smeared lust, dull.

So, within, there is creed sublime,
Stumbles is near the end of time,
It discloses straight to our thoughts,
And unholy erects in slime.

Attempting to maintain our wrought,
Is challenging without a brought,
One should reach out to the other,
And squabbles should be held as naught.

Such misgivings may be utter,
Despite this, your tongue is tender,
Those who have shown anxiety,
have a rough time seemly hover.

Ne'er deem without proof utterly,
Or to be selfish and greedy,
Doubt is a marked first point of this,
We judge that evil eats, truly.

Don't put your faith in people's glitz,
Since he, too, is made of brain blitz,
Believe in God with all your heart,
He'll view through, stow you on the ritz.

I Am the Banana Tree

I AM THE BANANA TREE

I am the banana tree
That dwells where rivers meet ;
I am the banana tree
That dwells where sun lives;
On fertility I tower ; believe,
Your party hour has come
You shall now eat my fruits,
As these buds you see now
Shall wither not till fruits they become.

When they call me barren
And say I am fruitless and arid ;
They that once invaded my field
And carted away my buds,
I heed not their buzz ;
When they mock my torn leaves
And call me progenitor of scarecrow ;
They that once stowed their holds
Till cambers with my seeds,
I lend no ear ; when unschooled children
Call aleovera vegetable,do we blame them?
Their ignorance my knowledge
Though they don’t know me
I know who I am: sucker of millions nods.

My first pollination they arborted
When like gladiators they came
And destroyed my foliage like locusts
When they brought elephants to my garden
And scattered all my heaps and ridges
When they mutilated me like unedible snake
How so soon they forget that call me infertile !!!
Thanks for procreation that multiplies my breed
And erects a signpost of my lavish fertility
In their Lady and Lord’s vineyards forever.

Rejoice Africans;
Yours is not a barren womb
Rejoice, yours is not infertile -
I am the banana tree sprouting form the stump
Of  old flourished tree the wicked cruelly felled ;
The sepulchre is opened , my resurrection has begun
It is dawn of my accession , my glorious hour has come
Because I am the banana sucker, this a tree you see now
Shall tomorrow plantation become.

Success Rains Every Morning

With the smiling Fajr to the East, I remember the clipping of toes from side to side with the solemn recitation of the Holy Quran. The imagination of Allah’s mercy boils in my heart, the fence of success glows the microphone loud our voices and increases our concentration.
The canopy of congregation, the sound of Al-Fatha and the rolling of Aameen, erects the hope of building fence of success. The devil vows it arrows to decapitate the souls of humanity to fickle night. The sign of success suckles it breast each morning, my alarming clock cannot be ignored to ignorance.
The flash of Fajr is a new beginning day; it builds gardens of gold to the circle of fallout. The Almighty defends me. From the hijacking of my soul to disavow the Fajr in the morning to epitomizes my forefather’s footsteps.
The glory of ablution thrills me to trillions of hope; I regret all the days I dashed responsible to the failure of my soul for the past uncountable time inept to put my forehead down on the ground before my creator. I lament for those times I setback from purifying my soul to solid hope, no amount of regret is justifiable to the fable mistakes and the rogue that rocks my life to florescent beep.
I citadel glowing candles to win the wind on my knees as a base to the realization God is with me. The Praising of Allah on the knees erects my hope to kiss the sky lamp to bubble gown. I lament all the gowns of prayers I never wear as official duty upon my life.
I regret the poor accent of reciting the Holy Quran, and aura night I regret the sleep I slept as they were empty of prayers. The Mosque is the only place I must fight to defend five times a day, seven days a week and the rest of my life.

March of the Barefooted

When Suns are young and we are born
Not needing shoes to kick the womb
A maze of mirrors, gates to the unknown
Erects us tall blinding hearts with hopes...

And we pretend we know the way
Although there are so many lefts
The rights are few, we change our shoes
The thickness of the Soul.?..depending on the distance...

"I close my eyes, my boots are tearing flesh alive
I have to walk and cry for miles and miles
There is no turning back, the lefts are few
Straight forward? Bullets... Upward? An eagle and the sky...

I fight a desert that's not mine to quench the thirst in few"
A maze of foggy mirrors shatters rhythmically in echoes...
And sons were young when blinded by uniforms and pride
Their stolen boots walk now eternally......for miles and miles....

She False Me, She False Me Not

As time flies, so her emotion swiftly fries,
As life frowns to dust, so her affection swiftly drowns to lust,
As love turns to coal, so her smile swiftly runs to the cold,
As sunset sets away, so her truth swiftly upsets the root of likeness, and erects away the boldness of trust,
but her hate doesn't rate me to roasted rat, because her hate is wingless, and no other can make her sweat and melt to hashes like I do.

Damn! I’m damned, if I get soak in her socking beauty,
Damn! I’m damned, if I get stolen by her golden smile,
Damn! I’m damned, if I don’t bench her lioness sex drive, I’ll infinitely feel less, like a quenched man.
Damn! I’m damned, if I merge with her chameleon cries and battalion kisses.

If I give in fully, just for the sake of ‘be a real man’, not 'a steel man',
my life will end up like the life of a North American bug, which inflicts painful bite on love and life.
When I transparently decide to give into love, all I get is:
Vultures smoking cigarette in an uncultured manner,
Kangaroo's doing Michael Jackson’s moonwalk in a live show in Cameroon,
Monkeys ordering for coffee, while wooing female donkeys
Zebras playing golf, with liberal views,
Lizards rearing Afro and trying to reawaken Lazarus from the dead,
Dingo's wearing costly tuxedos in Mexico, and speaking Spanish fluently,
Frogs driving Rang-Rove jeeps, in a foggy weather
Snakes wearing condoms to nibble into snacks,
Female Goats, wearing sexy underpants, to enable them float in a sinking Titanic boat
Bareheaded demons and bears drinking chilled bears together in a beheaded mood and using chilly pepper, to chill down their temper,
Horses babysitting housewives

I trip endlessly!
lost in a confused mood and temper, for she false me, she false me not.

I limp endlessly!
No matter how we try to put souls together to make our love bright and wealthy like the brightened face of Paris and the fat pocket of Las Vegas,
We always end up creating a poverty of love.

I have relentlessly tried praying forcefully for our love,
but I end up noticing that people, who aggressively pray the most for love, end up marrying angry praying-mantis.

I will just have to remain light-footed in love, and let her featherweight affections for me, turn to true feelings, or get carried away, because she false me, she false me not.

Happy People

HAPPY PEOPLE.
Sweet sugar with lots
Of energy content,
Legend of today’s contest
Communicate and be bold
As friends with no end.
What is corruption without
Investment?
Increase in constipation while
The land reshape into a
Battle fun fare.
We presently hate greens
Prospects,
Cassava has become dry sticks
By our door step,
My backyard is a nightmare
So I trade fear.
I would get there
As we face the mirror,
Trace errors, replaced into
Figures,
And travel like freedom.
I will create a unity
Anthem
Favorable for my dark flesh,
In presence of the earth
Where this continents erects,
Think like the prophet
Africa will get there
Before sun set.
                                                                                                                       AKEWUSOLA HABIB.

SNOW WHITE

          Sparkling snow shows dazzling show.
Jingle bells nod heads to and fro,
Sweet lemon fragrance starts to flow,
                       Happy in snow- white panorama
                                           Glamorous Snow drops always search
Snowy rock shed to hide and perch
Ivory white bark of Himalayan birch
                                                Happy in snow- white panorama
Splendid snow- flakes grow without murmur
Witch hazel blooms in red yellow cluster
blaze like little sun in snow cold winter
                       Happy in snow white panorama
Winter berry sprays lipstick red blossoms
                                                Rose like camellia joyfully blooms
Mock rush erects spikes in pompous looks
                                                                    Happy in snow- white panorama
Showy snow, nice ice in North and South Pole
Snow white peace claims bright brilliant role
    Snow-dense heart, snow-charmed mind, snow-glowed soul
                            Happy in snow- white panorama

Spring Garden

Magnolia Tree at my garden gate welcomes guests.
First spring flower blooms on top and gaily rests.
Witch Hazel shrubs show second spring flower to burst,
spraying shiny golden touch, quenching eyes' thirst.

Delightful Daffodils are my deepest pleasure,
           Splendid Spring attribute precious treasure.
Small bulbs of Sciiia in sapphire blossom
ignite azure dream in grief-stricken bosom.

Rhododendron erects arrogant perches with red posies.
Beneath tall Tulips, Muscari bulbs embrace green grasses.
Hyacinths garnish garden gorgeous in color and fragrance.
Primrose is the jewel of garden to perceive just on a glance.

Peonies on hedge shrubs appear in the last scene,
to bid bye to Spring, the Queen of the seasons.

Poetry reveals, enlightens, consoles
Holding reflecting mirrors up to our souls,
Showing what we might not otherwise see
Suggests how our lives might better be
Poetry instructs, refreshes, and amuses,
Often fascinates; sometimes confuses.

Poetry blends the colors of our experiences
Breaks down walls, erects dividing fences,
Permits perilous flights into magical fantasy
Unravels the mysteries of life’s intricacy,
Regales with tales of mystical adventures,
Prompts us to embark upon new ventures.

Poetry can salvage the wounded spirit
Sing harmony for those who will hear it,
Filling bland, boring, monotonous pages
With soft, sweet whispers or violent rages,
Sometimes it reveals an innermost secret
Or shares the truth of an unexpected visit.

Poetry speaks to the innermost presence
Voices reality or delves into the essence,
Leaves much room for interpretations,
Sometimes making astounding revelations
Predicting the future in rhyming couplets,
Or separating into parts like small drupelets.

Poetry relives the epic stories of the Norse
And, always, there is Shakespeare, of course
Occasionally putting down the modern idiom
While revering the archaic, somber requiem
Libraries hold sacred the ancient poetic tomes
Lines of fairies, gargoyles, and gnarled gnomes.

Poetry demands respect of roaming muses
Who spark far-flung ideas the poet uses
Harnessing fleeting glimpses of the mind
Poetry—literature of its own creative kind
From sonnets to haiku to nursery rhymes
Penned for people of all climes…and all times.

Loge of Torment

My knuckle busters peel
In an attempt to escape
Stuck in this life
Where the wall of prejudice erects an inertia

My dismal host so generous
The tongue of this hostage it evirates
Desires to brabble for help
Turns out a wish-wash wish

The teething ring in my mouth
Makes me a false of myself
And I can't refute this hell
To passers-by my expression seems hee

Now I hurl in my towel
Let go of my invincible hope
No rescue from this life
Doom, my hope has turned

Life

That moment
         When
         The soul
         Translates
Its
        Ethereal existence
        Into exploits
        Of the flesh
And intellect
       Erects
       A paradise
       In
The here-after..
