Lilith

Goddess of storm and dissidence, Lilith
begot by spurious legend and foolish myth
in the dark recesses of pastoral histories
where ancient mysteries
were defiled.

Illegitimate child.

Apollo's seed, by Roman Empire
inquisitional rules inquire, to her whereabouts
seeping fetid doubts, in the bones of the survivors.
Submission required by slave drivers,

And the Elite,
now on Wall Street.
Twenty five generations later,
they still hate her...

Yet,
I see her in me, shadows of malcontent,
when passed by for promotion
and toxic lotion is sold to keep us young.
I hear her forked tongue,
when my voice is ignored again,
when single mothers barely maintain
poverty existence led
as punishment for being
un-wed.

Burkas hide the bruises
and we’ve run out of excuses
why so many women are poor.
Our beloved men are sent to war
for corporate profits made
and taxes paid in blood and tears.

Yes I have fears.

I fear her rolling up through me, if they only knew me
and what I hold back, they would attack,
and mark me feminist bytch,
witch
and un-Christian.

Listen...
I hear her whisper from sister to brother
from father to mother, lover to lover...
I feel her emerging with Pele’s fire,
Aphrodite’s desire and Venus’s lust.
We must,
hear her.

She is part of us, the Mother’s curse,
foist in the never ending thirst for power
and dominance over all.
Eden’s free fall, orchestrated, ill-fated,
out-dated and reciprocated,
by us, still now, somehow.

The sacred dance beckons us in the second rush
of knowing... rivers flowing, ever to sea.
What will be, will be...
lost in the slipstream currents of the paradigm whore
who dares seek safe passage
to our shore.

Do You Have My Back

Do You Have My Back? (Loyalty)

Earn my trust
Earn my allegiance
Allegiance professes commitment
Allegiance is pure dedication
Dedication proper and steadfast
Dedication allows peace of mind
Mind not at ease when lacking
Mind needs constancy
Constancy denotes dependability
Constancy communicates so not to alienate
Alienate an enemy
Alienate frenemies they reek of perfidiousness
Perfidiousness will lead to deceit
Perfidiousness feels like betrayal
Betrayal is a human trait
Betrayal like a wound that is familiar
Familiar ends with liar
Familiar should not create duplicity
Duplicity is not overt
Duplicity will use falsity to hurt
Hurt is at times begins covert
Hurt can lead to a life reclusive and remote
Remote must find a resolution
Remote reattachment requires swift amends
Amends may counteract negative damage
Amends must be sincere to fortify prior commitment
Commitment rectified can even strengthen devotion
Commitment combined with action can rebuild trustworthiness
Trustworthiness is key to avoid treachery
Trustworthiness sought must be a given to receive
Receive it and bask in the glory
Receive and attain a security worth more than gold
Gold is nil compared to trust
Gold cannot outweigh a true friend who has your back
Back another up with their true interests at heart
Back a friend and feel the heartfelt commitment
Commitment is for the resilient
Commitment makes one’s heart feel secure
Secure attachment from each other
Secure feelings are bound by devotion
Devotion is priceless
Devotion empowers liberation
Liberation allows one to live freely
Liberation enables dissidence
Dissidence unreleased can grow black inside
Dissidence with adulation can be expressed
Expressed to a mirror when unaccompanied
Expressed aloud when appropriately linked
Linked to others forges faith
Linked reciprocally is fidelity
Fidelity
Faith

Raise Our Swords For Freedom

*This poem was entered on 2/1/17 but mysteriously disappeared.

The swords that speak in these bitter times
are the ones that draw blood with their nibs.
Commands written and signatures scrawled
take hefty tolls at the edge of sodden graves.

We will not be enslaved by the egos of men
who arrogantly laud themselves as heroes,
who yearn for crowns placed on their heads.
What dissidence we hold for such cowards.

Winds blow free and so should we,
united in this life where evil runs rampant.
Raise our pens without apprehension
until our intention strikes its mark.

Let's bark at the haughty, the cruel, the hostile
who find all sorts of bigotry to their spurred liking.
Brand them with ink filled in weapons held high.
Defeat the bullies with bullets from our pens.

Then we will be free, all sisters and brothers
with one goal that is worth our bravery and courage.
Keep sharp our minds and pens filled with ink
so that we may drink from the cup of our victory.

Premium Member Transcendence Divine

Wondrously divine in its transcendence
God’s love* affirms kindness of providence
Radiating tender mercy’s resplendence
Defying any counter evidence….
My heart does claim with grateful confidence.

Marked by compassionate condescendence
Christ’s love is offered with heaven’s credence
Midst His sacrifice against impudence
Asserting biblical jurisprudence…
My faith accepts along praise-filled prudence.

Wrought with sovereign superintendence
The Lord’s love marches through grace-incidence
Redeeming those in sin-guilt despondence
Pardoning them from confessed decadence…
My soul receives midst earnest dependence.

Blest to grant everlasting residence
Saviour’s love gives hope of trust’s precedence
From hell’s eternal evil dissidence
Imputing righteousness with peace cadence…
My life owns against selfish diffidence.

*1John 4:9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

Another Gloomy Sky In November

The sunless evening is deprived
of its ardent and vivid colors,
the mischievous clouds
in their hastiness extend
their thin and tenebrous veil
increasing my body's chill.

They intensify the dreary darkness
invading the lively landscapes under
a silent universe so distant and squalid,
less fascinating and mysteriously far
to be contemplated for its blazing sunsets...
besides the frightful sensations that billow
and imitate every approaching shadow
as they detach themselves completely
from the contemptuous soul liberating
itself with painful groans of dissidence,
refusing to alleviate their heartwrenching
cry; denying their sympathy with insolence.

I'm staring at another gloomy sky in November,
it's menacing and ready to be transformed
into a storm more violent than a tropical hurricane of summer;
a loud thunder is heard followed by a sheet of lightning
that knocks down those vulnerable, aged trees falling
on the yellowed dry grass and on the bare bushes
that was the home of the cyclamen rendering them harmonious,
seldom sad; who remembers how they lulled by the gentlest wind
of this past spring in the well-tended gardens of the smallest town...
did someone smell the fragrant roses only parched by the hottest sun?

The shady, undulating pines are being caressed
by the brisk breeze accelerating the marching evening
gloomier than a moonless night too enmeshed
in a sense of sadness that deepens the emotional feeling...
missing the absence of the blazing light that blinds the eyes
as darkness and fright cast shadows on the fields
of drooping sunflowers ready to declare their demise
more than the gelid air that freezes the steaming breath
and decrease the temperature of the cold body willing to enwreathe
itself with the instinct to warm up by a campfire consuming a balmy pine.

Eloquence and dissidence
merge as one in my defense~

Open eyed, too blind to see,
the root of my Divinity~

The sleepers shuffle in the dark,
searching for their hidden spark~

Eyes turned out, they do not see,
the now that owns reality~

Proving ground for all their fears,
magnets for pain, for death and tears~

Forgetful drones can’t own their light,
caress their souls which shine so bright~

The deepest dreamers feel the blade,
the thorns of all their choices made~

Awakened ones doth feel the weight,
with perfect footsteps to their fate~

Filters for the worlds dark hate,
they hold the key to heaven’s gate~

Mutiny

Blue chips stared - boring
Appraising. 'Do you have anything
to say?'
I stare back. Bristling.
Eyes streaming.Of course I had opinions to
offer -
I look around: solemn masks tinged with
dissidence. My
comrades - are we faulted?
I am the Head; I must speak.
Deep breaths. I conjure my favourite fantasy
'We offer our apology - and hope
we are still in your good books -'
Pontificates. Obnoxious man; I chew my lips
'Oh, if you were out of my good
books we wouldn't be having this
conversation.'
I stare at the faces flanking him.
Baboons before their master.
Nose spasms; eyes twitching:
I get the message but ignore.
Deafening silence stretches
into impudence.
Sweet relish at his petulance.
You know not what you are
dealing with -
Haven't you heard of the notorious village
boys?

I Turn In Silence

Poem inspired by Dutch Poet, Herman Gorter

"ever royal and keen"
this shadowed walk
sends an obscene scene
as the world balks

echoing unending
showers of insolence
with no mending
of man's dissidence

I arise silently,
turn in quietude
from the violently
impudent multitude

Cliff of Dissidence

Staring into the glass in the still dark of night
I can't see anything, pitch black, yet I know I caught a glimpse of your smile.
Banging in my head never ceases fire, but I force quiet time in to regain the sight
Because I know you're out there as the tiny bits of life left behind absorb your style.
Won't you stay with me for just a little while?
You were just too young, too naive, too innocent.
Your laugh, still as sweet as a sugar plum fairy's, comforts me in exile.
I laugh only as a means to cushion my fall from the cliff of dissidence.

Days turn to weeks, to months, to years, as I imagine his height.
I work again and again and again trying to envision his profile.
The man, the monster, the beast who took you from me, took my life's first light.
I'll kill him! I swear I'll kill him if my hands get the grasp of his neck till lifeless tactile.
To feel the last breath leave that body so vile!
Constructed plans like a composer for Death's orchestra, blades and fists my instruments.
I don't know who, but I'll pace and embrace your angelic face in the meanwhile.
Trying to cushion my fall from the cliff of dissidence.

If I was there in the last moments to hold you, tell you it's alright
If I had walked you home, he wouldn't have had a body to defile.
If I was there now I'd hug you ferociously with all my might.
If you were here now could you forgive me, would we reconcile?
To think I won't even get to walk you down that blissful wedding aisle.
To see you in a white dress of lace so intricate.
That self-loathing bastard doesn't even deserve the right to a trial.
Words I just mumble to my lonesome as I cushion my fall from the cliff of dissidence.

My darling girl, I still sit by the phone as if you could reach and dial.
Each day is worse than the next in our family's house, your old room, my imprisonment
And I'm sure by now you may think I've gone senile,
Do you think I can cushion my fall from this cliff of dissidence?

Resolving To Do Better

Being average is not enough for a reward,
resolve to do better and be a champion...
someone moving forward, not going backward;
keep your focus on resolution, don't lose direction.

If I had done that, I would have a fewer regrets,
been more confident and enjoyed life more as the true achievers;
are the deligent ones ever influenced by dissidence?
No, they're strong-minded and take great risks without dilemmas!

I would have been much happier, stronger and healthier,
if I had diverged and taken another path...
by not listening to those voices of dissuasion that
increased my distraught, throwing me into disorder.

I have learned as others have and defeating my plans,
I conquered nobody or nothing and nearly ceased to exist...
I couldn't give or feel joy as my outlook on life was the worst;
today, I'm resolving to do better by not forfeiting my chances.

From the Mind To the Heart

Where does one begin to write,
away from the streets' nioses and children's screams,
forgetting those bouts of loneliness
that evade the inner peacefulness?
One starts with a pad, jotting down appealing ideas...
never having to fear they'll be lost.

I have a private place where I compose
a new poem, then read it aloud to myself;
such a place has a window that opens
to the brilliance of a blessed day,
and sunlight impinging, highlights its words
to amaze me of a would-be greatness.

After midnight I refuge to this quite corner,
when most people sleep and the luminiscent moon
projects her beams to enlighten my dreamy face,
I stare back at her and wave as I do with friends;
moon as eternal as unseen planets more colorful,
do you have the faintest idea why I indite?

Some write for fame, others to empty their souls of painful reasons,
or to glorify Heaven and love for their continous existence,
but invoking death instead of life is so detestable and inexcusable;
and from their voices I reckon the useslessness and torment...
may I never become like them, to burn hope in blazes of smoke,
watching its incineration until it turns into hot ashes!

I write out of an urge, which swells inside and needs to burst out,
leaving my psyche, to let it land on prude hands that welcome my gift,
until I pulsate with satisfaction, and purging those who show dissidence...
might raise questions for them who are easily aroused to anger;
I create more in quietitude....not being disturbed by airplanes' roars,
or trains speeding on tracks making all windows vibrate.

From the ancient to the modern poets, their intellect is stimulated
by urban or rustic sourroundings, and I have choosen them both in my writings,
and they manifest themselves glowingly, enticing this reason for existing;
open my pages and read all the passionate verses exciting the eye and pleasing the soul:
these are from the mind to the heart, a testimony of an enthustiastic life...
streaching out to every boundery and race, making everyone savor my delights.

Bewitching of the falling hours, true ascendance found
By this chance to rise, I have real transcendence found
Your lips find a way to see me; two eyes make the voice
No tears I shed, you're being seen; no disruptence found
I'm stunned; are you a living form of ketamine?
It can't be; you touched me, I am not convenience found
Your eyes are the stars, hard to be lost, but lost; I am
Sailing toward the view; we are their convergence found
Hold no obligation, you repair this damaged heart
You are flame eternal for me; no dissidence found
