The Bible --- Scriptures of grace-ford!

Assuring soul's great salvation

Gearing our faithful stewardship
And triumphant praise-filled worship!

Indeed working for reaching-out
While sharing Gospel without doubt
Illumining for heaven's route
Midst joyous hallelujah shout!

Premium Member We Must Give Account -Hebrews 4: 12,13

God has declared through His inspired word
all that He is and all He can do
this word is living powerful and so sharp
more than two-edged sword this is true

This God is all-powerful indeed
there's nothing outwith His control
for sovereign, He is over everything
yes even you and every living soul

All that you know in your grey matter
as well as all that's in your sinful heart
fully none of it is hidden from God
all are naked before Him every single part

This God is eternal always shall be
our righteousness is like filthy rags
in His eyes detestable and obnoxious
we're without hope nothing to brag

Jesus came to our rescue
to save us and make us fit
to stand in God's holy presence
knowing in Christ we needn't quit

For all will stand before Him
there we must give account
if not in Christ we've no hope
but in Him, we have a living fount

("For the word of God is living and powerful, and
sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account." )

Say It Today
Written: by Tom Wright

Some people I know tend to procrastinate,
Storing words for a time that may not arrive.
They accept other opinions without debate,
While some days find their tongue in overdrive.

Words placed today on the mind’s back burner,
Are often irrecoverable and remain unsaid.
No earth born man is a thought discerner,
So should words be spoken or reserved instead?

Classified Ads

Look what you found in the classified ads,
while looking for that needle in a haystack
A Little Mermaid bassinet and baby stroller set
Puppies with adorable eyes, and vintage eight tracks ...
obsolete technology from another time
Just about anything you could ever want,
in the classified ads you can find
Are you in need of a maid,
or a babysitter perhaps
Do you need a tutor for a math class,
because your kid is getting a failing grade
What can you sell,
	what can you buy
In a classified ad is where the answer lie
So much tradeable skills and merchandise
	to sift through
So many bargains and lemons
	waiting to entice you
Everything up for sell ain’t all good,
everything offered to buy ain’t all bad
You gotta be a wise discerner,
be an informed consumer market learner
When you’re dealing with a classified ad:
Somebody’s gonna buy something that will make them happy,
somebody’s gonna buy something that will make them sad
That’s just the way it is,
when it comes to curiously combing through the classified ads
Somebody’s gonna sell something that will make you happy,
somebody’s gonna sell something that will make you sad
That’s just the way it is,
when it comes to placing an eye-catching classified ad
When navigating through consumer traffic
in search of a needful thing
A classified ad is the perfect safari highway,
used by every bargain hunting king and queen

LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY WISDOM DISCERNER

Thank You for hearkening unto my humble supplication
Forgive my deceitful subtlety that leads to my destruction
I repent from my folly’s commotion of carnal reaction.

Lord God, You are my wisdom Discerner by Your peaceful calmness
Thank You for considering my beseeching plea and weeping mournfulness
Forgive my hatred and wrath caused by my bitterness
I repent from my badness due to influencing wickedness.

Lord God, You are my wisdom Discerner by Your prudent counsel
Thank You for granting my sincere request for which I prayerfully wrestle
Forgive my iniquity in doubting Your holy epistle
I repent from my fault that hinders me to excel.

Lord God, You are my wisdom Discerner by Your gracious engagement
Thank You for satisfying my heart seeking for Your fulfillment
Forgive my response of unbelief because of discontentment
I repent from my hypocrisy showing lack of commitment.

Lord God, You are my wisdom Discerner by Your righteous justice
Thank You for reigning over my devotion as Your servant-apprentice
Forgive my shallow devotion against diligent stewardship-practice
I repent from my unfaithfulness that defies Your divine notice.

Lord God, You are my wisdom Discerner by Your overtaking mercy
Thank You for restoring my fainting trust with Your love’s fervency

Premium Member My Favorite Professor

When considering a favorite teacher or professor, immediately, one high school teacher and one college professor come to mind.
Since I have to choose one of them, I am leaning toward the professor.

Mine was a small college and my history professor was a large man
physically. He was well learned and the founder and president of
The college. Nevertheless, as an authority figure, he was very
Approachable.

In a larger sense, as head of a Christian college, he was not only the defender of the faith, but also a discerner of negative attitudes, mindsets, and a defender of minorities. He established in my mind the necessity of building protective shields to give an adversary second thoughts about an attack. I was also inspired by the way
He used communion to unify and create a bond at the small college.

It was very clear to me that my history class was not just about
The studies of yesterday but about the everyday life of today which in essence makes for a better history that is being formed presently by the current generation.

“For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass.” (James 1:23 of the King James Bible)

With your looking glass functionality
clear to you is my flawed human nature
lurking midst imperfect humane culture
unveiled in the eyes of the Almighty.

Beholding myself through your truth and light
my heart cannot hide agonizing pain
being cracked midst bitter misery-strain
ready to burst; yet silenced by mask plight.

Here am I accepting your peace so sweet
granted by loving Lord Who is life Source
for my torn soul’s redemption from guilt’s course
mending broken hopes toward blissful feat.

Just as I am, to the Saviour I come
grace-propped, grateful, dropping facade of pride
now freed from illusion with you as guide
God’s Word*, my divine mirror, I succumb.

Premium Member God Knows Our Tracks

Since Adam and Eve,
Tracks, man has put down.
While some we leave are happy,
Others, give occasion to frown.

Tracks, that we as men,
Might some time wish to erase.
But only God can remove,
Man can only retrace.

Those footprints of our lives,
Eventually In history you'll find.
Whether satisfactory or atrocious,
They're what we'll leave behind.

As these tracks God surveys,
He'll sway not, nor will He bend.
But render appropriate judgment,
On where eternity we'll spend.

God, is a discerner of tracks,
So from life's trail we can't hide.
But through Grace He made a way,
That in His tracks we can abide.

Premium Member Born To Deceive

He was clearly a child of evil and schooled with a single task to eviscerate people in the name of greed. The attendees were clearly frozen and the
speaker was well trained to tantalize his audience with his words and the tone of his voice. There is merit to being a questioner because the human mind can easily be pulled into the consuming vortex of expert rip-off artists. I was fortunate enough to be with a friend who is an expert discerner of fraud who
prepared me to beware of such lest I also be compelled to take the plunge into his whirlpool of deception.

Even I, a virtual novice at dividing liars from truth-tellers and separating goats from sheep became curious within 5 minutes of his speech. His promises had the smell of being fallacious, and too few of us were none the wiser having eyes able to see every color but scarlet.

The speaker skillfully used the movements of his hands and body language which easily hid the pathway to his heart. When his speech was over, the long line formed to shake the hands of a charismatic genius. He was by far a crafty and skillful bewilder of the lowest kind.

Premium Member Sword's Power

Granted with life everlasting through the Spirit’s sword*
I’m indeed born again by God’s Word.

As quickened by the spiritual sword miraculously
My soul yearns to be revived for meaningful existence blissfully.

Constantly, I strive to please the Lord by faith, led by the Holy Spirit
Enlivened by His empowering truth, the Scriptures’ writ.

Worshiping Christ, exalting the Saviour midst praise-filled gratitude
My spirit abides in Him, cleaving to His sword to vanquish evil’s magnitude.

Hence, when carnality prevails hindering my service of compassion-gestures
I yield to the sword of the Spirit that can mortify selfish ventures.

God's word is alive

God's word, a sword of truth, piercing the soul
Alive and active, it cuts to the goal
It judges the thoughts, and attitudes of the heart
A discerner of intentions, it sets apart

Sharper than any two-edged sword, it divides
Between flesh and spirit, it exposes the lies
It convicts and convinces, with a gentle might
Bringing life and light, to the darkest of nights

It's a seed that's planted, in the soil of the heart
Springing up to life, a new work of art
It grows and transforms, from glory to glory
A living and breathing, revelation of His story

God's word, a fire that burns, with a passion so bright
Illuminating the path, in the darkest of nights
It's a lamp to our feet, a light to our way
Guiding us in truth, every step of the day

Alive and powerful, it pierces the darkness
A beacon of hope, in a world of chaos and madness
God's word, a treasure, that never grows old
A living and abiding, gift that never grows cold.
