my palette is encrusted
with all the dried remnants
of yesterdays hopes
where strokes of genius and folly
were first born in
a fresh imagination

my canvas
overlaid with realities
correcting unfinished pieces of dreams
that were once so perfect
so beautiful that nothing else
would ever do

expectations sketched with
a once steady hand
until one day
i stood back
embraced reality
and
the priceless gifts of

imperfection

Feeling hurt owing to belied expectation
The earth entity floundered hither and thither
Spiralling gloom causing consciousness contraction
The wound cut deep since he relied upon his transgressor

Pain amplified by cyclic thoughts plunged him into despair
For healing he visited a reputed clinical psychologist
Listening patiently seated on a swivelling chair
Of no avail were therapists or hypnotists

Finding no way he asked this question
Who feels the pain and why is relief not simple
This line of inquiry brought him to a clear recognition
Cause of suffering delusion dwelling in images ephemeral

Reflecting deeper if an animal is ensouled in human form
It goes without saying that it’s actions will be feral
We expect not from a carnivore embrace warm
Thus our cognition should be spherical

Meditating thus in silence and stillness
He knew each being acts as of his evolution
With all our flaws we too seek divine connectedness
Yet hastily condemn others by our jaundiced eye perception

The afflicted soul then rose in the light of clear understanding
Looking at the other with kindness and compassion
His own orientation thus prayerfully correcting
In quietude of transcendental meditation

February 4 Faith in God Bible Meditations Based on Leviticus 11-13

Key Verse – Leviticus 11:44 For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy…

FAITH IN GOD WHO SANCTIFIES US

God sanctifies us from sin-leprosy
By His mercy healing our plague’s persistency…
We thank Him for the power of His clemency
That transforms us by faith along His love’s fervency.

God sanctifies us from flesh-filthiness
By His holiness melting our lustfulness…
We thank Him for the brightness of His righteousness
That radiates around us by faith midst worldliness.

God sanctifies us from pride-inflammation
By His meekness smiting our arrogant reaction…
We thank Him for the clarity of His instruction
That propels us by faith toward growth’s function.

God sanctifies us from vice-defilement
By His purification vanquishing our addiction impairment…
We thank Him for His grace of restoration-replenishment
That upholds us by faith against evil allurement.

God sanctifies us from trespass-infirmity
By His forgiveness correcting our iniquity…
We thank Him for His pardon of acquitting quality
That makes us by faith to enjoy eternal life’s security.

God sanctifies us from command-disobedience
By His discipline conquering our rebellion-resurgence…
We thank Him for His Word of steadfast diligence
That enables us by faith to win against carnal expedience.

God sanctifies us from transgression-pest
By His purity cleansing our errors to the fullest…
We thank Him for His kindness of compassionate zest
That blesses us while we do by faith our utmost best.

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

Premium Member World Order

Financiers feel superior to farmers
and pundits have it over poets.
All to the good because if you think America's
doing just fine, don't skip to the poetry reviews.
Our enemies are barbarous, our allies duplicitous
but our smart bombs are smart - that's how they found you.

Dad said all wars are resource wars. Follow
the money. The world needs more order, nothing
less than Nazis, never may the anarchic man's thoughts
be my thoughts, each shove sends a ping,
shields urge on shields, helmets helmets, we can be
the reigning kings between the last empire and the next

or implement a vision of collective deliberation
and binding agreements. Can China's navy
be harnessed to ensure free passage through
the South China Sea? We'll see how
things work out in the next generation.
In the meantime should I read Henry Kissinger's meditations?

He who thinks poetry's effete
probably considers Darwin a geek and Einstein
a postal clerk. Containment means leaving space
for the passionate and zealous to face themselves
and giving them missiles that don't work.
Slowing everyone down until one thing's done well -

governance or sustenance or brotherhood.
When violence comes to the neighborhood
the hierarchy will hold or fold, it is then the peace work proves relevant.
Failing to achieve understanding, we're searching outer space
for an entity to unite us as humanity.
That person, or city, is consciousness.

By that what is meant. Sitting still and thinking deeply
on the relation of anger to coercion,
systems for correcting the decisions of earlier presidents.
We're required to report incidents of depression
to a doctor because you're a valued member of of our community
or so insignificant no one notices or cares.

How necessary the interface of war and poetry!

Passed Out

Toot, toot goes the train.
Jump, jump goes the brain.
Moved to a new house.
Old one had a mouse.
Sometimes change is good.

It's all the same!
Play the sleep game!
INSOMNIAC!
INSOMNIAC!

I can't sleep!
I can't sleep!
SLEEPLESSLY!

Passed out!
Passed out!

DREAM!!!

Gait Keeper

The limp is more pronounced on days like these,
cold rain and chilling breeze. The hitch in his giddy-up
causing his head to angle slightly, correcting for the
sway. His eyes seem a bit less bright yet still alert
while the tail, that ever enthusiastic metronome of
friendship, wags, and waits. So we walk a little slower,
a little less far, sharing the tempo of age and a
love that knows no desire to walk alone.

What wonderful warmth
Weaves through my bones
Some mystic music
With healing tones

A summer waft
A sunshine snuggle
A hug so deep
Erasing trouble

If only I could bottle this
To keep it fresh
This cleansing balm
This wonderous mesh..

Connecting souls
Correcting ills
Blessing so full
It overspills

The world needs more -
This love strewn hit
To cure pandemic
Deficit

Yet here I rest
Tired eyes closed tight
While restful thoughts
Redeem the blight

A harvest
Doth my soul peruse
An ancient truth
Stills daily news

Join me, do
If you so desire
To find your heart's
Angelic choir

A harmony
That lives within
To quell the worldly
Heartless din

Peaceful corner
Comfy chair
Your favourite spot
I'll meet you there

It's Not About Me, It's All About You

You’ve seen what I would do for You,
I’m reminded that You always knew.
It’s not about me, it’s all about You
so it matters not what You lead me through.

It matters not what You lead me through
for all of my days are to glorify You.
If to YOUR plan I will stay true,
there’s no telling what I’ll do for You.

Adversity is harnessed and used of You
but those who know this truth are few.
Others think harsh correcting is what You do
but in reality, they just don’t have a clue.

You came that others know what is true,
that they see life from Your point of view.
Then, the life that they never knew
would be there for them because of You.

Life Story

"Who wrote dese legs?" Said Milligan in Puckoon *
As he surveyed his nether limbs with distaste and dismay
While Jessica Rabbit gave the protest of every 'toon' **
"I'm not really bad. It's just that I was drawn this way"

I share Milligan's discontent with legs and other appendages
As I guess do others, save those narcissistically vain
We seek to have some correction and make 'amendages'
Or at least find some creator whom we can blame

So God, while receiving His due credit when we pray
May be on the receiving end of much lamentation
"Oh why did you give me such faults? why make me this way?
If only you'd done better job in my creation"

Then since it's not our fault, but the way we were drawn
It's not fair! Therefore those better sketched must make reparation
Thus comes about entitlement; enforced welfare is born
Correcting errors? Or just causing more enervation

But in life's dramas do we not each play some role
Maybe having some choice of the part and in writing the script
With a character choosing a purpose, determining a goal
As we stumble through props and scenery and trap-doors tripped

Regardless of who was the author of our book
Whether our lives are our own or in hands of the fates to make hay
The role we have whether hero saint or crook
Determines right now the game that we have to play

Looking to the future if given that I have a voice
In my next life if not made from mud or other dregs
And I have the good fortune to make some personal choice
I will write myself a better pair of legs

Ugly Poet

My poems are weak and the verse is lacking
And At this moment you're attacking
Correcting and dissecting
And inspecting it for flaws

You're reading it and bleeding it
And plotting superseding it
Of this I'm sure you're capable
And I salute you all

While sitting here and writing this
It brought me tender happiness
The words were dancing fairies
stomping circles through my head

The letters started whirling
Then swirling and twirling
And stacked themselves in patterns
forming combos in their stead

These markings joined with others
As I pressed on with a shutter
Which direction was this leading?
I was eager to discover!

And in time I surely found it
And was pleasantly astounded
How the lines had stacked together
and the meaning that surrounded

Premium Member My God, Thank You For Conquering Me

December 22 Scripture Meditations Based on Revelation 6

Key Verses – Revelation 6:1-2 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR CONQUERING ME

Thank You for Your conquering me and my degradation
Against hell’s terrible destruction
Fully rescuing me from sinfulness-degeneration
By Your compassionate heavenly direction.

Thank You for Your conquering me and my infirmity
Against carnality’s lustful iniquity
Fully pulling me from transgression-impurity
By Your dignified honourable integrity.

Thank You for Your conquering me and my filthiness
Against worldliness’ fearful perilousness
Fully driving me from corruption-fruitlessness
By Your constant gracious faithfulness.

Thank You for Your conquering me and my arrogance
Against pride’s selfish allegiance
Fully covering me from deception-appearance
By Your divine fatherly assistance.

Thank You for Your conquering me and my sentiment
Against discontentment’s foolish supplement
Fully correcting me from doubtfulness-statement
By Your wise eternal settlement.

Thank You for Your conquering me and my preference
Against changes’ erratic persistence
Fully upholding me from compromise-prevalence
By Your supreme sovereign permanence.

Thank You for Your conquering me and my fright
Against backsliding’s agonizing blight
Fully guarding me from quitting’s flight
By Your loving Word’s might.

Hidden Things

It is the glory of God
to conceal a thing:
but the honour of kings
is to search out a matter
Prov. 25:2

I search always
for the invisible things
Hidden things buried deep
in the sands of antiquity
Trained I was in the ways of spiritual investigation,
got taught under the feet of a wise one
Kings of the ghetto are father and son
I'm in search always
of heavenly things
Hidden in plain sight
are these eternal mysteries
Open your eyes
and see precept upon precept
Open your ears
to hear the new version of an old concept
I search always
for the prophetic things
Holy revelations from the future
concerning the fate of humanity
I was taught by God,
borne chastisement under the correcting rod
I learned right from wrong,
how to help the weak
and withstand the strong
I learned how to discern
clean from unclean
And how love
was the purifier of everything
I was blessed with a gift
to investigate tirelessly
I love to search always
for invisible things hidden in the deep

Dancing On Eggshells

Dancing on eggshells
Pursuing my groove
Correcting my posture
In hopes to improve

My tip toes are bare
In our home built of glass
I take each, ginger step
With fear induced class

I strive for perfection
I land below par
My rhythm needs work
Steps, too far apart

I try to refrain
And not tap my feet
I tame my excitement
I tune out the beat

I relax at a victory
My pivot, just right
But before I can bow
My dip is too tight

In the second of calm
I lose my composure
I begin to feel safe
My moves are all over

Your look of dismay
A familiar jab
I’ll continue to try
Even though I am bad

Premium Member The Editing

Another day starts,
Another day of my life's editing I have
to begin:

New things to write,
Other things to correct and
Some old things to erase!

Yesterday,
The same things I did
I thought that I had finished with
editing

But

New events proved me wrong
Thus
Made me start all over again:
My writing
My correcting
My erasing.

Tomorrow,
Another day will be born
The same procedure I would have
To follow,
You see, my dear friends,
Life is full of lessons:
Some good
Some bad
Some painful
Some pleasant.
Thus
Life is never boring
For
It is always in motion,
Always in constant change
And
Myself have no choice but to keep up with
her pace
So
As life dictates its terms, I have no choice
But to obey
Therefore
I have to keep editing my life in perpetuity if
I don't ish to fall behind!
