Coming Down In Buckets Poem
It was early morning when I heard the thunder roll,
As I looked out my window I saw pouring rain,
It was coming down in buckets it wasn't fit for anything,
People were running to find shelter from the storm,
It was another dismal day without sunshine again.
Amid the sound of thunder and lightning in the sky,
I wondered if the sun would ever shine again,
I thought of how the weather could get our spirits down
If we face our burdens alone in a world gone mad.
Some trials we face come from the choices we make,
While others are unavoidable like rain,
Our circumstances will change in life overtime,
But God has always remained the same.
We never know what the future will bring,
And what storms we'll face over time,
We must totally believe in things unseen,
And keep a positive faith all the time.
There is nothing wrong in admitting our fears,
From the trials that we faced over the years,
Our lives will go on one day at a time,
So we should accept each day as they come,
When we find dark storm clouds overhead in the sky
We shouldn't stumble through life in the dark,
When it seems like all hope is gone in our lives
We should trust in God and walk in his light,
For God didn't promise us a rose garden,
He said there will be times with storms in our lives,
We should let Him be our shelter from the storm.
So, the next time it rains and rains for days on end,
Use an umbrella to weather the storm,
No matter how long it rains it never lasts forever,
The sun will shine again and when it does,
We may even be blessed with a rainbow,
God's covenant promise to never leave us,
He will always be our shelter in times of need,
Till the storm passes by.
