She Collected Sea Shells, I Collected Sand - Repost

She collected sea shells, I collected sand

She collected sea shells,
I collected sand
She searched for the perfect one
I reached down my hand

I carried a bucket
A basket she did whirl
Mine was filled with tiny grains
Hers with mother of pearl

She came out each morning
Me, just late at night
She adored the sunrise
I loved the moon light

Then one day it happened
My alarm clock didn’t ring
I woke to a rising sun
It was the weirdest thing

I ran down to the shoreline
My bucket in my hand
It’s then I saw her gorgeous face
While I collected sand

I found a perfect seashell
And watched her eyes grow wide
She held out her basket
I placed the shell inside

Then she reached down before me
And gathered in her hand
I held out my bucket
She filled it up with sand

And now each day and evening
We walk along the shore
She told me that she loves me
And her I do adore

So if you see us out there
Strolling hand in hand
Know...she’s collecting sea shells
And I’m collecting sand

This is one I posted when I first arrived here, I thought I'd share it again. :)

Collected Haiku

#7
Detroit, five a.m.—
Soon, my city will rise and
disturb the ravens.

#19
Windmills in autumn/
apple orchards/ falling fruits
of nativity.

#0807
Flowers on your grave
wilt like the words I could say
that might bring you back.

#43
Midnight festivals:
paper lanterns burning oil
in the summer mist.

#9
Music can transform
uncomfortable silence
into miracles.

#26
I want to take my
time with your hourglass and then
come back for seconds.

#1125
When you go away
the rabbits will not come back
from the magic hat.

#88
Eagles lock talons
together they form and break
like the divine winds.

#99
You are the warden
of my prison of regrets
you have all the keys.

#63
She holds my hand tight
when our love is imperfect
she is not afraid.

Not Cool, Not Calm, Not Collected

The buzzing;
The knocking.
Zero silence upon this bed.
Routine, it should bring silence.
But the shrieks from inside me makes yells.
Loud yells;
Without the screams within this head.
On the surface calm.
And on the surface, alive.
Yet the war inside my head consistently puts the tranquil on the sidelines.

The Doll Has Been Collected

The doll has been collected
And she is on the shelf.
Her pure soul is empty
And one can`t hear her breath.

There is a rusty needle
In the doll`s gentle heart.
And this heart`s slowly bleeding.
But nobody sees that.

The doll will keep on smiling,
Her eyes are like bright stars.
She is alive but dying
Because of whom she loves.

The Moments Collected In Memory

Writing this in hopes that I might fashion a connection
A connection with my dreams
And through my dreams, a recollection
Of the beauty of specific moments
That have become part of my DNA yet
Are as far removed as Saturn drifting below the horizon

I stare at my digits in order to count
Similar to the days when fine motor skills and mathematics were new
The visage of now and then flows with precision
The power of the elements singes the edges of neurons
Mitosis makes us older

Only with the acceptance of such an occurrence
Will there be peace
However difficult
Whilst melding a crash course concerning the intention of time
Into a singularity of moments of life
Which thereby splinters into multiple
Units of singularly significant events
Without reason or sequential order

The mind reels in attempt to filter
Continuously, indefinitely
This dilemma
This beautiful life

I prefer to return to the dream state
Where
To me,
Is the spot where the ephemeral membrane lining
Creates thought and life

Regardless
I have to awaken
To this world that I know exists
And find not only the treasures waiting in subterfuge
But the ones already found
If only in memory

Cool Calm and Collected

8/14/16

Currently scientist believe there is around ten dimensions
In the future could there be less than seven or more than eleven?

Particles and matter all around us every second
Some light rays are reflected
This is well known and documented

Before, during, after the day and night ended
Cool, calm and collected
With my methods
In any direction
Staying perceptive
To what is the most effective
Even by means that are inventive

By using my peripheral, intuition and senses
As everything commences
On either side of the fences

Oh well, still many questions
And learning lessons

While a lot of mountains and hilltops were crested
Certain opportunites augmented

They say all dogs go to heaven
Is that true or just a so- called legend?

Colors blended
Leaving a beautiful impression
While some devices and stars oriented

Collected Tears

Lay your head on my shoulders
shed as many tears as you want
cause your tears are being collected
for all your troublesome.
God puts them in a bottles
and keeps each shed tear
he'll bring joy for your mourning
if you trust and hold him dear.
Don't be ashamed let them all out
he cares about the things that concern you
that's what our Father's love is all about

Forces Found Collected and Combined and More

Forces Found Collected and Combined

Forces were found collected and combined;
Either would go with or had been left behind;
Could consider,
Some a quitter;
They also had an option to be reassigned.

Jim Horn

Plant Seeds of Sin

There are those who  God always leads;
On earth sin and then plant their seeds,
Were bitter,
And a quitter;
What we will end up with are wild weeds.

Jim Horn

When we went on the expedition,
There was too much competition,
Animals all gone,
To dusk from dawn,
And also, not enough ammunition.

Collected

Collected

Come play with Me here
in the surf
O my soul

Come splash in the edge of my
tide
soft foamy white tickling toes
covering feet
lapping your sand castle designs

Kick up my sand
as you twirl
as you dance
cartwheeling wind by your side

Find treasures I've placed for
you
stars
rock
scattered shells

Gather Me up
with delight
into deep pockets I go
bulging full
overfilled

Tuck me carefully crunching away until home
where we go
to be placed into thoughtful jars
upon shelves
window sills
Your pride of today
collected

waiting

for sight

Premium Member Calm Cool and Collected

If fun became our daily life’s M.O.,
If pure joy turned into status quo,
What then would be our aspiration drive
To make the world a better place to thrive?

If we nest in a cocoon of serene,
If grass on either side is ever green,
How would we cope with unforeseen extremes
When life turns out not to be what it seems?

Along the winding road joy may not steer
Calm cool and collected - most stable gear.

Collected Tears

As the tears drip from your face I collect them in a cup
Place them in a cupboard as my emotions are heart-struck
Tested
But not to be rejected only to be affected
By this affection of love
Caused by our reflection…of love
Eternal Adoration fire still burning
Constantly tossing and turning, yearning
For more of the passion
The love that continues to be everlasting
Wanting to give it my all
Refusing to let this fall
With you by my side we’ll always stand stall
The next time you cry
I’m here to wipe the tears from your eyes
In time your wounds will heal
Together we can make the final deal
And relax because everything we have is
REAL!!!!!!

This line
may be unimportant
it's little wonder, it's what I get,
and yet....
it is that,

at this point,
not that,
that slips away,
to play,
and reply,
Such as it is.
That's all.

Concept Corrected and Connected and Brains Collected

in again had clocked
thoughts from my mind had been blocked
my brain tightly locked

concept corrected
mind with body connected
my brains collected

had been head scratcher
not ever virus catcher
be of sound stature

seen in state of shock
we had checked out cattle stock
chip off the old block

poem up contriving
did see bird which was diving
find more food striving

masks decomposing
them should be reimposing
properly disposing

when things went to waste
they will have done with much haste
did not meet our taste

books stored side by side
none of them will want to hide
read them all have tried

about quanon
always wished that it was gone
start a bright new dawn

a brief nap I took
read one more page in my book
about Trump being crook

on you God will grow
my Bible has told me so
did fight off each foe

ingenuity
should buy an annuity
in community

at wheel may have dosed
to virus we were exposed
whole house should be hosed
