Dearest friend did I mention,
that I am not yet convinced about these coalition cocktails.
These cocktails of compromise can quickly cause confusion.
Traditional reliables, mixed with fresh and new infusions.
Watered down potency, muster these illusions
Of neutrality, accessibility, of binding, and of fusion.
Contrasting composites of strong and fruity mixtures;
Colliding compounds of strange, exotic elixir.
Confounding ancient wisdom, and conventional stricture,
On the logic of certain combinations, I'm sure you're getting the picture...
That I am not yet convinced about these coalition cocktails!
I'd rather just one strong taste, and done.
The first passed the tongue's usually the one.
Now undesired flavours solicit my reactions,
And unpursued tastes reduce my satisfactions
Each fighting for the limelight, each vying for my attention.
Like my pallot was the ballot, and my chioice like an election.
And though sometimes a blend works, to the point of sheer perfection.
As the flavours fall away, the after taste often reveals the nature of this artificial mix,
To which I'm sure I have mentioned...
That I remain to be convinced about these coalition cocktails!

RAINBOW COALITION
As part of the darkness
All melentolin
what's all the drama
why do we allow predudice
For when we all die we become dirt and dust
Our souls has no color
Our soul is the true, you...
As part of the darkness
God has created ALL OF US
We're all Negros
All part of the carcus
When the darkness spun
This ill be where we belong together
God has made us forever
In heaven there no separation of color
We'll be to busy lovin God and each other
Whlile the lion will be grazing with the lamb
There's no hatered in heaven
So come on over here
All you variations of skins
Let's embrace
What are the spawns of the rainbow coalition
I can see the vision
Stop hating the browns, tan, browns and blacks
I can see the vision
Us all living together without hatered and sin
Our souls has no color
Our soul is the true, you...
As part of the darkness
God has created ALL OF US
We're all Negros
All part of the carcus
When the darkness spun
This ill be where we belong together
God has made us forever
Let us embrace ouur sins take off our skins
Let's be as friends and not flines
We're all part of God realm
we're just different color beings sinners saved by grace
Come unto theFather no matter what your place
Your His child no matter
We're all molded by the same creator
Part of the rainbow coalition

Snow flakes once were pretty white
Now one size and side fits all
Now they hail from New York City
From the west coast life and
Mostly from the universities to fight
Free speech flew out the window tonight
Caked in fear, steeped in ignorance
Piled high in innuendo on the streets
Like black flakes on a dead agenda corps
Spoiled brats, trapped in fascism's iron grip
Rain down without shame
That is not snow falling outside your window
But an ugly mob, demonic in nature at prey
A rainbow coalition but dirty
Not so pretty and bright like real snow
Not bathed in white privilege like you and I
A political faction falling on you
Snow flakes only know hate
Their infestations are contagious
Contaminate linear thought
Do not speak to snow flakes
(Fragmented thinkers one and all)
When walking down the street
Never make eye contact
Ruled by emotional tantrums and cries
Free speech is not an option
There is only one side to a snow flake, theirs
So run and hide

*Linear thinking is the process by which linear thinkers put things in order as they experience them and how they express them. Their thinking process proceeds in a sequential manner, like a straight line. A straight line between two points is the most efficient way to get from one place to another. It could never be confused with fragmented thinkers.

THE HOUSE OF COALITION
Poet: Grace kama ni
Politics is a dirty game, indoor game played,
In partitioned social house -A house of coalition,
Baptized merger, alliance, or better still – handshake,
The house of coalition, the kitchen of collision.
Political love plaque, adorned in wedding outfits,
From chiefs to the newborns, all matching for the clan,
Mattresses in the house see, under them piles of old clothes,
Perhaps for a rainy season,
The house of coalition, the kitchen of collision.
Everything in a haze, every -body in a rush
The sewing machines take not a nap, brush paints and repaints the walls,
Singers’ voices softened with fine honey, type writers squeak in protests,
The house of coalition, the kitchen of collision.
Listen to the manifesto, new wine in old wineskin,
Old enemies new dance, well-knit family new name,
And splendid rhetoric, soul search for voters,
Opposition in opposition,
The house of coalition, the kitchen of collision.
Game win, selective win,
But the house of coalition a hoax? The title deed missing?
Powers of brokers at play? “Wanjiku “played again?
The house of coalition, the kitchen of collision.
