Cleverly

Articulated as I type these words,
Cleverly thought up, diligently said.
Hence, this is where my story begins.

As words come, I should write,
No place to go, but what is right?
Thought up in verse,
You see, I know.

But about its sentences,
We will read, but how's it going?
The poem it is with arousal begins,
My brain is stirring out on this limb.

My rhyme, you see, has it to be,
Or is it this that is a joke?
My fingers, my thoughts,
These words that I type.

I am doing my best,
Do you see as I write?
I shall write these words,
In its simple of ways.

I think my story has found its end.
Not so fast I'll try writing this again.

The Clever Farmer

Once upon a time ,a farmer lived in a remote village
He had two sons and they were worked with his father. His wife wanted to see the two son's marriage. She was affected by a dangerous disease of killer.
The marriages were arranged for their sons immediately. Their mother died after the son's marriage suddenly. The Farmer was old and he gave the fields to his sons evenly. His daughters in law served him very reluctantly
He told the abuse of his daughters-in-law to his sons. But his sons heard only the words of their new wives The farmer wanted to teach a lesson for them once.
He thought that the ill use was not be continued to his sons lives
He went to the field and collected the castor seeds
And put them in a tin and covered it by clothes. When his daughters in law passed his bed seats
He jolted the tin and it made the sound of coins. The daughters in law thought that the father in-law had more currency. They competed each other and looked after him good.

Time, It So Cleverly Slips Away

Time slipped, slipped into the sunset mist
looking back, I saw only half done list
There was that trip to a green island shore
never arrived there, missed so much more!

Time raced, quickly raced so very far away
Looking back, heart sinks into dismay
There was her hand, that touch forever gone
never gotten, was her sweet love alone!

Time fled, fled into that bitterly dark sorrow
looking back, heartache eats tomorrow
There was love, gathered at such a dear cost
never gotten, greatest treasure now lost!

Time, time why ever did you dare race me?
The faster I chased, the faster you did flee!

R.J. Lindley
May 9th, 1990

Note- today found out she passed away. Never got to say goodbye
Time cheated me, it shall now pay..

Old note presented with old poem because it reminds me the insanely foolish battle
I wanted while still drunk on whiskey!

Premium Member Cleverly Staged

After Midnight Musings - impromptu

cleverly staged
the way you are
slinking in your
trinket-ed skin
oozing pure milk
and manuka honey.

cleverly staged
the way you are
slow as molasses
a flaming lick of
hot lava, the
epitome of life's
thirst-
life's thirst for
a mere droplet
to be overcome
by your
charming ways

the way you are
cleverly staged.

Cleverly Created

Sometimes it's not for me to always speak
Things that have pressed and pressured me
I believe
By gracefully spilling this rhyme
In time this time a creatively piece
Will form and grant me what is needed
Like cop with no license and driver given ticket
Like a light that stopped
A pupil that popped
There still a plan for me
Sometimes I scribble with a pen
Write names without an end
And then the form of a sentence
Brought me to repentance
Did I mention it brought back a promise
Pushed me up like baby vomit
My stomach was full to the tin
And pen wrote lines that blend
Blurred lines like Robin Thick
Released these lines that made me sick
With a brick busted discounted a chain without locks
Expressed expression like a pimple about to pop
Who stopped I did and felt much better
Smooth lines like bacon without cheddar
I better tell the truth and let this out
Sometimes been times I am not loosing this bout
As I know what to do this time
Take a pen and continue creatively line
Graze of this paper
Crimp edges without a staple
Not later but now
Release stocks up now down
Chase cars with bank cards
Flow mass today charge
Open skillets without flip
Zip pants without zips
Per ounce discounts
Sometimes I just bounce these lines
Feel better rest time
Fit to bake made signs
Raise up I made my Plies
Jokes choked commit crimes
Opposite do attract this time
Grave covered cleverly spent my
Days filled processed loose dimes
Penny sized career signs
Broadway stage jive
Turkey laced with season no sides
Fizzed resist without dis pride
Crisis told trimmed time
My time your time

Cleverly Disguised Someone

I want to run across moss covered stones
Over a rippling creek of crystal
Adorned with your shined and polished bones
Away from this constant peril

Salty quartz bleeds out from my eyes
Such a dark sphere of onyx hate
You slice a smile as another part dies
When you set another piece of me ablaze

You delight in muddling my transparency
I am singed by your laugh as I crumble and crack
I continue to marvel at a demons consistency
To commit these most heinous acts.

I once held the rose heart filling it with you
I should have know when you were too dark
And would never clear up for me to see through
Now that it’s too late, I see what you are.

And I am crushed by coal, covered in the soot
Of a defeat that will never release me into the sun
Mourning for the lost trust I had put
Into a cleverly disguised someone.
