"Wanted, girl Friday to be on her own,
Take-charge skills -also answer the phone.
Sophisticated office and the pay is high,
Only the intelligent need to apply."
First to be there at the appointed time
Impeccably dressed and feeling so fine.
Written exam and I'm through in a breeze.
Finished it off with smarts and ease.
Next, oral test and meet with Personnel,
Final interview. This one is sure to tell.
"Performance outstanding!" said the hiring guy.
But didn't I catch a strange look in his eye?
"Your skills are fantastic -your scores are an art.
There's no doubt about it -you're certainly smart.
Your I.Q.'s above average -you've got college to boot.
Sure wish I had something such talent would suit."
The truth always hurs but so seldom is told
Lies are the same; never new and so old.
He thanked me for coming and taking the test,
We smiled and shook hands, he wished me the best.
I know the folder he clutched tight in his hand,
Should have been marked "Would have been grand."
But he wouldn't say where he really was at,
But he'll think as a finish -"She was too fat."
It happens too often, it's nothing that's new,
It hurts just the same, but what could I do?
We fat one's have talent and what it would take,
But we're judged by our size, what a lousy mistake!
My brain's almost perfect -it's really not fat,
And when I sit down, that's not where it's at.
Tomorrow's the day that I really get mad,
You'll know that you're reading MY classified ad.
"Wanted, Employer -who hates working alone,
I'll take up the slack -and answer your phone.
I'm fat but ambitious and my starndards are high,
Only the intelligent need to apply."

There's a symbol for our justice,
Holding scales while she is blind.
Yet it seems the 'MAGAteers' have extended
This further, adding deaf and dumb to their mind.
Because they have made the choice not to
See, hear, or think, as they ignore reality.
While they follow a corrupted voice, laden
With false notions and irrationality.
This conviction has seduced their soul, with
Visions of fear and lethal consequence sustained.
Using a barrage of powerful fiction, giving faith
To a utopia without discord ... but they're ordained.
The stupidity is clearly seen, as they avoid
Any facts that disturb their view.
As these followers become so deeply entrenched,
They can't escape the shadow that's untrue.
Having seen the danger progress, while a
Fragile democracy wavers on the brink.
Watching a majority come under constant attack,
And a privileged minority tries to silence those who critically think.

Look what you found in the classified ads,
while looking for that needle in a haystack
A Little Mermaid bassinet and baby stroller set
Puppies with adorable eyes, and vintage eight tracks ...
obsolete technology from another time
Just about anything you could ever want,
in the classified ads you can find
Are you in need of a maid,
or a babysitter perhaps
Do you need a tutor for a math class,
because your kid is getting a failing grade
What can you sell,
what can you buy
In a classified ad is where the answer lie
So much tradeable skills and merchandise
to sift through
So many bargains and lemons
waiting to entice you
Everything up for sell ain’t all good,
everything offered to buy ain’t all bad
You gotta be a wise discerner,
be an informed consumer market learner
When you’re dealing with a classified ad:
Somebody’s gonna buy something that will make them happy,
somebody’s gonna buy something that will make them sad
That’s just the way it is,
when it comes to curiously combing through the classified ads
Somebody’s gonna sell something that will make you happy,
somebody’s gonna sell something that will make you sad
That’s just the way it is,
when it comes to placing an eye-catching classified ad
When navigating through consumer traffic
in search of a needful thing
A classified ad is the perfect safari highway,
used by every bargain hunting king and queen

Wanted : The return of a transparent Silken White Veil
Ecrued edges due to the sands of Lost time : Lost LOVE
No charges filed, no questions asked I have repaired the damage done
The Memorial Garden For my late WIFE LENORE is in full bloom
the shredded Portrait has been replaced ; Thank-YOU Jacque Charbonneau
Lenore's bust, now a polished Marble Emeralds for her eyes
Eyes (I longto see again)Speaking to me from atop Her Headstone
Now You may think me Eccentric, Vain Even Materialistic (maybe I am)
You see this Wedding Veil is the beginning of my Eternity
With My LOVE , My LIFE ,My WIFE LENORE
P.S.I have all of her Handwritten Original POEMS (Noterized) in a bank vault
Still I would like the CD's back

our meeting
a casual conversation
breakfast and promise
but a phone number lost
and memories linger
over prairies plains distance
I look for stars
do you?
a place on roadmaps
I come to again
just off the off ramp
fields grown
a factory repurposed
but beyond light
I look for stars
a glistening runway
an airport preserved
private flights only
or helicopters
of the National Guard
the sky is clear
I look for stars
radars poised
soothsayers and prophets
look for weather fronts
county roads
a stretch of fields
touches clear skies
clouds pass like dreams
intimacy recalled
a timeless poem
a classified I post
I look for stars
do you?

I was on a mission of my own
Got caught up by her charms
Wanted to spend a little time
Wrapped up in her arms
Missing from my duty station
The captain was fit to be tied
I want to know where you are
Sorry, sir, that’s classified
I knew that there would be hell to pay
When I got back to the base
But my thoughts were on other things
As my fingers touched her face
She was the sun, the moon and stars
Words to an old love song
Her lips, the spark to start a fire
That had been dormant for too long
My buddy met me at the gate
He said man your butt is fried
Where the hell have you been
I said Can’t say, it’s classified.

Why the tag?
Did I give you a reason,
not to trust me?
why the antagonism?
my intention was never
to create division
friendship, purely friendship
or is even that not allowed?
if not, then say so
don’t be suspicious,
and don’t assume,
because by doing so I am being tagged
and classifying me,
will only reflect badly on you
because in the end
you never got to know me…

Classified
By Franklin Price
6/7/2017
Why are some things classified?
Only for some the right to know
What could it hurt for all to see?
I think I have the right to show
What could it hurt to tell some friends?
They won't run and tell the tale
They know I'm sworn to secrecy
Know I could end up in the jail
That is the quandary that I'm in
I think the whistle I should blow
Would cause a stir on issues now
I think that all the world should know
Why it's secret is not right
Although I know that all's not known
I cannot feed the furor now
Unless I throw the dog a bone
If I let known this classified
And it starts war within a week
Won't be my fault, I thought it right
To let this information leak
Don't blame me, it's not my fault
If we look back and millions died
Would not have stolen from the vault
If there was nothing classified
