Court Cases

Many misjudged court cases...
Who wins the battle?
Man, or the country?

Toil and Trouble

I found a crooked dollar
and hired a crooked lawyer
to pursue a crooked case
before a judge to place,
but we found no crooked court,
however hard we sought,
but as long as we keep looking,
we'll keep the cauldron cooking.

Called Mental Cases

Called Mental Cases

Just finished and completed my usual early
morning three poems. I have cursed you
with the last one first. It is designed to
prepare you for the other bad news ones
existing and standing in their own right
which, of course, is completely out of sight.
Here goes.

Birds had butted heads up against a fence
After each one found they had become dense
As to who in right mind should run for President
Suppose it was Superman or maybe Clark Kent.

Who would be playing best acting leading role
After people starting to read a political poll
Something strange and peculiar they soon saw
A mighty big crowd each of them did draw.

Like fools would rush in as well as storming
Like all of them were attending a house warming
Were licking chops while we saw their drool
Of thought we were wondering which school.

We began noticing their protruding philosophy
Had to major in either psychiatry or psychology
When for each thought you tried to find basis
No wonder vast majority were called mental cases.

Timeless Landmark Cases

That timetables rapt familiarized discern
resolves transmitting rumors, my befriend
dysfunctions with misgivings, halting's bend
and circumvents a standstill toward no end!

While oppositions furthering's belief
beginning's placate, anchoring's achieve
and dormancy becomes a truth's bereave,
life's reconciling justice to perceive!

All told, involuntary atmospheric sieve,
the matters decimating planning's blind
are flushed away, as truth's fulfilled contend
perniciously is focused to amend!

The timeless trust, no telltale virtue's send
can irritate or spill the hope's distend
hurt's mortifying gospels' spoken trends
are turned to Love, by faith's conspired extend!

This standstill wavers not with jury's press
the voice of legal cost must so address
some epilogue of change, not chance's duress
must gravitate consideration's bless!

Trial of Standing Bear, Ponca Indian Chief. On May 12, 1879
Chief Standing Bear held out his hand to Judge Elmer Dundy
and pleaded for recognition of his humanity ~
"My hand is not the color of yours, but if I pierce it, I shall feel pain.
If you pierce your hand, you will feel pain. The blood that will flow
from mine will be of the same color as yours. I AM A MAN.
The same God made us both."

In Capital Cases

In Capital Cases

I once was a Christian who had been in Congress
And points of the people would always miss
Being understanding should be essential
But all that I did ended up inconsequential.

Was supposed to follow being part of crowd
Always being thought that I was endowed
By God to fulfill my now new position
Never putting people though an inquisition.

Was it Spanish, English or American for sure?
Maybe more then any of them can endure
Even in California many must have complained
For days refused by God and it has not rained.

Hotter and more polluted world has become
Why do we apparently appear as being dumb
And all the world's problems simply ignoring
When for all answers we should be exploring.

You take this trail and mine is over there
All those found by fools may only be fair
God is always in right and proper places
And can He grant death in capital cases?

The Stair Cases Steps.

The staircase leading from my heart to where-ever the wind blows,
Is growing even faster than the galaxy.
Im elevated so high the sun burns anywhere my skin shows.
Liars are masters of dodging reality.

Its a shrude crime to not let you know the truth,
A thousand ways to the same place is a good start.
I have absolutely all the answers provided no proof,
Regaining my minds freedom leaves me angry and tart.

Ive acquired a nasty taste in the back of my being,
I am a castle but the fixtures hang while the walls lack pictures,
So heavenly inspired i live life for today like I'm never leaving.
Meanwhile my mind forms movies that blend into endless mixtures.

I have an old soul that escapes out my eyes, mouth, and fingers,
The life you live sucks just as bad as mine, you just don't notice.
My vents spew , but hine-sight's 20/20 and the anger lingers.
I remain a lost lotus.

Nursery Rhyme Cold Cases

We all know the story about
Little Miss Muffet,
but did she ever get over
being arachnophobic,
and Jack and Jills little
hike up the hill,
did they ever recover
from their nasty spill,
and poor Humpty Dumpty
with his tragic plummet,
were all the kings men using
his remains to make an omelette,
and Rock-a-Bye Babys cradle
being placed on a treetop,
were the babys parents
ever apprehended,
and the London Bridge
which is falling down,
why is the infrastructure
so shoddy, was it designed
by some clown,
and last but not least,
when playing
Ring around the Rosie,
does poor Rosie ever
get to survive,
these are the cliffhanging
nursery rhymes we
grew up singing with fun,
but like an inquisitive detective
want to re-open each case
and solve each and every one!

Are We Selling An Alternative That Is Flawed In Most Cases

If my Mothers life pointed to a way forward,
Without the need for drugs,
Or an excuse to dwell on the unfairness of life.

If my Fathers life pointed to how to get by, even with a chip on your shoulder,
And not crash and burn,
Despite all life throws at you.

If my life with all its testing times and setbacks,
Has made me stronger not weaker.

Are we selling an alternative that says,
You need this sort of help,
Or that sort of help that often is not always there,
And when it is, produces side effects,
That are for life.

Are we selling an alternative to putting yourself out there,
With the need for therapy,
On a 9 to 5 basis,
Often with Drugs on the side,
When my Mother knew,
My Father knew,
That if you don't put yourself out there,
You will miss out on friendships,
That are open 24 seven,
And drug free.

I feel so lucky that I was born when I was,
When parents and grandparents were there,
To point the way,
And opting out was not an easy option,
As if I was born in today's society,
I shudder to think what I would have been diagnosed with,
And what the odds of me being on this drug or that drug,
When the odds against them being anything but the wrong fix,
Is astronomical.

If I feel any sadness in my life,
It is for those who are now living in one-bedroom flats,
With politicians and city planners all seeing that as the way,
To develop healthy minds,
That will bring healthy outcomes for society,
When I know and my wife knows,
And even our children know that it ain't so,
As putting obstacles in the way of putting yourself out there,
Will only increase the number of those who will never make it out there.

The Lord Jesus Takes up Impossible Cases

The Lord Jesus calls the lost
He paid the cost at Calvary for everyone
He made it possible when it was impossible!
He joins you with God the Father
So it’s time to recognize the times we live in

We must know that the Lord Jesus
Takes up impossible situations
He takes up impossible cases in our lives
So if we have an impossible situation
We must remember that the Lord Jesus
Can Take Up your case if it is impossible
Simply bow your head and pray:

Lord Jesus, my case is impossible
Thank you, Lord, that you will make it possible!
Amen

Eleven Thousand Cases

Eleven thousand cases
In the city gives me pause.
We know Omicron’s contagious
But the surge is there because…

People gather close together
After many’ve been exposed
To some others whose vaccines
Did not exist as one supposed.

These statistics make me crazy;
Feels like we are going back
To the way things were a year ago,
Completely out of whack.

Bases For Cases That a Lawyer Faces

Bases for Cases That A Lawyer Faces

We always wondered what was basis,
Which had to do with all of the cases;
We read;
Often dread;
Then found that every lawyer faces.

Pending cases lie, plaintiffs die

Courts oblivious, on blissful high,
Poor plaintiffs on a long wait die,
The system still stays put
On same age-old input,
Mothballed, the pending cases lie.
Perfection, a vague search,
Totter in wobbly lurch,
Load of cases on deathbed lie,
The price paid for delays sky-high.

Happenings |11.05.2023| justice

Poet’s note: Research reveals that some of the oldest cases are pending for over 60 years, almost a lifetime of an average plaintiff. One might feel, a less than perfect justice is better than the perfect one that takes such a long time. A limerick here tends to lament the pathetic realities. One may note: to bring home its point a limerick tends to exaggerate and so need not be taken on the face value. This is the fourth in the series: Your slip is showing, Milord.

Light

THE LIGHT

Let there be light and there was light
That light can dispel darkness
But that light come from the Light, the Creator.
This Light can dispel the darkness of despair
This Light penetrates the rocky hearts
To make it a heart of love and compassion
Compassion and love heal the broken-hearted
The Light is in compassion and love.

This Light clears the clouds of doubts
This Light straightens the crooked
This Light straightens all diversions
 Smoothens the long journey.
This Light heals the sick
This Light brings the divided hearts together
Because when hearts separate, sin enters
When hearts unite, sin goes out,
The Light can shine out then.
This Light gives the terminal patients
A hope to reach the Light.
This Light helps the medical persons
Work hard, tirelessly, spilling the rays of the Light.
