Pleasure Seekers

Let abundant energies ...............	burn
Late into the night as .................	the
Light of a flickering ....................	candle
Throws reflected shadows ..........	at
Mirrored walls, while we .............	both
Bathe in pleasure till music ..........	ends.

Message In A bottle

I write this note and place it, in my favourite bottle of wine
I sealed that top so tight then I wrapped it with waxed twine
The world is gonna end be it by mans hand or Gods
I maybe should have been more careful on all the toes I trod.

So if there are survivors, after doomsday does arrive
I’d like to leave advice on how one can survive.
Eat plenty of fiber, they tell you it's good to have each day
Five kinds of fruit and vegetables and you’ll always be ready to play.

Red wine is good for you one day, but the next it will kill you dead
They never talked of white wine, so I’d stick to that instead.
Duck and cover if you see a mushroom growing in the sky
They told us they disarmed them, but I think that they did lie.

Never go to bed angry with the one who is with you
So change them each day and then he won’t get angry too.
Don’t try to burn the candle at both ends at the same time
You’ll find it will burn the house down and that will be a crime.

When you wake with aches and pains it is because you're getting old
So the end of the world may not be bad, or that’s what I am told
So remember if you read this and you are to start the race anew
Remember life can be a b***h, you don’t want to marry one too.

When I popped the note in this bottle I left you the wine to drink
So go forth and multiply and forget about the missing link
Then think on this point, I obviously didn't make it through
So throw the rules away and just do what you have to do.

It was going to be an entry in the contest but I realise I haven't' followed the rules

Message in A bottle free verse effort

The end of the world is foretold to arrive any time soon so I am leaving a message in this bottle for anybody with advice on how to survive if this should happen again.
In the Bible it does state that the Earth will go on for eternity, so it must be something that will be at his hand that removes us from his creation.
The bottle you have now opened contains my favourite wine and I hope it is still drinkable. There is a warning though and some advice you may like to follow.

Red wine, they say, is good for the heart, but then they changed their minds and tell us is will kill us. So stick to white wine so instead

Eat plenty of fibre it’s good for you; you do not want to be stuck on the loo when the end arrives.

Eat five portions of fruit and vegetables a day; you want to be healthy at the end of the world.

If you see a large mushroom formation in the clouds, duck and cover, they told us they had disarmed all nuclear devices but I think they tell lies.

Find out who THEY are, we never did.

Don’t burn the candle at both ends; you want to look your best at the end.

When you wake up and find you have gotten old and it sneaked up on you and all the aches and pains that come with it, go out and welcome the end of the world.

As you have found this bottle I have to presume you have to start a new race just remember life can be a b***h so don’t marry one as well.

You will never find the missing link, so don’t look, accept it that some people really did fall off the ugly tree.

Never go to sleep angry at the person you are with, make sure you swap them regularly.

Remember it is not the Stork that brings the children, it is the lark in the night, buy a bird scarer.

That is all the advice I can give for now I need to get my nails and hair done in case it happens now. I want look my best, so go forth and multiply.

STRESSED

                                                 STRESSED

Sometimes when things begin to close in,
I'd like to sit down and chill out,
Find someplace to just get away,
And refigure what life's all about.

Sometimes it seems life's too full of demands,
My talents are spread way too thin.
There aren't enough hours to be found found in one day,
My duties begin but don't end.

Life cannot be just all work and no play,
Our youth is gone way too soon.
Think I'll start chilln' out before it's too late,
Learn to sing me a brand new tune.

It's good to know duty and good to know fun,
And when each begins and when ends.
One must learn life is filled with both duty and fun.
Learn to organize so it all blends.

                                                            Judy Ball

If you burn the candle at both ends you run out of candle too fast.

A Teacher

 am a teacher

Eager beaver

Full of beans

I build bridges

And burn the candle at both ends

I am a teacher

Cap in hand

Full of the milk of human kindness

I fight tooth and nail

To make my pupils see reason

I am a teacher

As hard as nails

Face like thunder

I resent cheap shots

And the breaking of every rule in the book

I am a teacher

With a carrot and a stick

I bring my pupils to heel

I reward who reach for the moon

I clip pupils’ wings

If they go far and off the rails

I am a teacher

Not a mouse potato

And not behind the times either

I am all ears

I bare my soul to my pupils

I make them explore all avenues

And go the extra mile

I am a teacher

I have my heart set on giving

It is a long row to hoe

I will make headway

Pull out all the stops

And hang in there

That’s what I have on the brain.

A Mystery Unfolds

The tree of life is torn
Between the darkness and the light
 Unable to conclude or choose
 Which is morally right

 And in all the fury
The tree of life is struck
 By a bolt of indecision
And it withers to the ground

through the conclaves of sullen asps
one could grasp a reason for being
perhaps its in the changing of the season
burn the candle at both ends

we shall discover it as the mystery unfolds

Burn The Candle At Both Ends

Burn the candle at both ends,
Using the fire deep inside;
The desire to do the task
Is ignited far and wide.

To live at a hectic pace
Is just having a hard time;
The volume of the duty
Is like a mountain to climb.

Long hours work without rest
Makes us real vulnerable;
Both body and mind may be
Exposed or susceptible.

Working late into the night
Shows earnest, zeal, and ardor;
Starting early in the morn
Even validates vigor.

Let's serve God with all our might,
From dawn till the sun descends;
Every moment of our lives,
Burn the candle at both ends.
