She Is More

She doesn't trust easily anymore, you can see
that in the distance she creates between herself
and everyone around her, but she has so much love
to offer, and you can see this in the kindness of her
smile that she gives out to everything and everyone.

She has millions of chaotic pictures of thoughts, thousands
of tangled up worlds of words and places in her mind, you see
it in the way her eyes always seem lost, like they are somewhere

Her longing to be somewhere else, shows in the way she's always
rushing and moving, the way she's always restless.
Life never went easy on her and she didn't go easy on herself either.
She is so strong and you can see it on her face, you can sense it in her
voice, there is wisdom.

She believed that her body would physically heal and rebuild itself.
I think that's because she had faith in herself even after life had
broken her. She got up off the ground and dusted herself off.
She knows what it's like to be under-appreciated or dis-respected,
but yet she is humble and at peace with the darkness and not afraid
to be alone.

So if you can't see the beauty in her pirate smile and quirky ways,
and if you don't think that maybe she might be a little piece of magic,
but instead consider her a distorted painting; You would be wrong,
because she is a masterpiece of her own creation after the aftermath
of the long, long journey onward from where she came.
She is about something good, because she knew she could,
and that to her, is a love better than ever known.

She is Love, She is a Woman, Bold & True, Strong yet gentle in her
heart and hands when she wipes away the tears from days long gone by.
Notice the thousand yard stare, it was earned by every mile walked alone, when compassion for her was none. Sure footed she stands a single soul
on a two way path of right or wrong. Know she is aware of the darkness
in this world, but for her, it was better than home.

My darkest days

In the dark days, everything goes away. But the Pain will stay. If only I could cure
the worlds sickest. Take the pain and make me the weakest. Out there
somewhere MY dreams will be filled. Since I’ve changed, since I stopped taking
those Pills. Everything revolved around me, but now I’m not so friendly. More pills
to ease the pain, more pills to take me away into lightest days.
The Lightest Days were we all roam and play, the sick and pain will
go away. Better than ever. Nothing to Level, but still the bumpy road is in the past.
My life was hard, my chances are far. But I’ve made it, last into the days of the

Say Goodbye

 I seen your face
 I felt your embrace
And it just wasn't the same
I finally walked away without lookin' back to call out your name
Once you were my best friend
Once I swore I'd be yours to the end

But I guess its time to say goodbye
Many of times you have clipped my wings but now its time for me to fly
I still remember all the drunken fights
I still remember all the sad lonely nights
 It was constant infedlity
My only prayer was to be set free
Thats not a place a girl can call home
Life is better when I'm out on my own
Sleepin' in alleys, living off dumpster buffets, and seeking dope
Stealing and lying is no longer my only hope
I won't fall for what you have to say
I refuse to cry for you today
I have come so far and moved onto something more
Life is better than ever before

But I guess its time to say goodbye
Many of times you have clipped my wings but now its time for me to fly

Lies And Deceit

Lies & Deceit are the Devil's tools
To relish in them, will render you a fool.
They'll destroy all trust & run people away.
Why would they deal with it? Why would they stay?
Lies & Deceit are not in God's plans
These are not the things, he's given to man.
These things are not of him, these are things he detests
These things will destroy you, you won't be at your best.
God will not bless you
Give you the favor you deserve
Living in Lies & Deceit, quite frankly
Gets on God's nerves.
Lies & Deceit will remove people from you life
Family, friends, children, your husband, your wife.
Lies & Deceit never go away
It'll grow & grow
You think you're fooling people
But believe me, they know.
A lie is transparent & easily seen
It'll be soon be bought to the light
& in God's eyes you will be unclean.
Deceit can fool some for awhile
This is so true
But God will give them a new vision
& their instincts will be anew.
Lies & Deceit will take you nowhere
They'll cause people to dislike you & no longer care.
God says be honest & be truthful to everyone
God said it, it was written & his will shall be done.
I lived in Lies & Deceit & lost everything
You can't imagine the pain these things will bring.
You can't imagine the hurt to others
It has caused
My life was at a standstill
An eternal pause.
My lies have broken relationships
That I can't repair
Deceit soon followed
Now people don't even care.
They don't care what will become of me
Because of my past actions, they refuse to see
That I removed Lies & Deceit from my daily routine.
I sent them away, now my soul is clean.
My thinking is clear
Lies & Deceit from my life has been cast.
But no one will believe me
Because of my past.
I talk to God & beg him to let people see
That there is change that's come over me.
I ask him to please let everyone know
That these Lies & Deceit, in my life, just had to go.
I lost it all & probably won't get it back
But I am determined to get my life back on track.
I let go of the lies that have held me down
Deceit is no longer with me, no longer around.
I took these things out of my life & threw them away
Now I'm striving for righteousness each & everyday.
My Lies & Deceit were brought into the light
Now that they're gone, my future looks bright.
I have hope, encouragement & feel better than ever
I might be able to get my life back together.
I might be able to live again
Instead of living in this den of sin.
Lies & Deceit serve no real purpose
Because they hurt all those around you
When they finally surface.
Lies & Deceit are the Devil's tools
But God has released me from them
Now I'm no longer a fool.

Poetry, Nature, and Beauty

In the vast lands where the spirit finds freedom
Where the mind its deep caves can fathom
Down by the tall rocks that go up to heavens
Flowers in row, with dewy beads are woven

Here the spirit can stream like deep river
And the heart can throb better than ever
The eye can fill its orb with life's beauties
And the ear to hear the elements' ditties

Nature's music chimes with forms that vary
And hues of paints fit the smell that carry
Shapes round or long, tall and some smart
And other odd shapes looking strange, apart

In the up lands known as little mountain
Nature speaks in the talking fountain
Hollow rocks hold the nectar of rains
In the late night, has quietly fallen

While man sleeping; nature starts weaving
A poetic land, stringed with God's giving
Dawn breaks, with pearly tears, up coming
Joy in the air, beauty of Earth, i'm in Heaven !

She's Back

All you can say about this young lady Is that she's back and performing better than ever Just to see her competing in exhibitions is enough To tell me that she has the tools it takes to be a gymnast Her name's Kim Zmeskal better known as "Kimbo"!
She would have been a member of the 1996 U.S. Women's Team But she suffered a severe knee injury When she tried to come back out of retirement And had to be sidelined for a while but she's back.
She was a member of the 1992 team That won a bronze medal at the Olympics And became the third U.S. team in history to win a medal.
She had an awesome career in gymnastics With’ six perfect tens and nine international titles And if she's still able to compete in competitions There's no telling how many more titles she will win.
I fell in love with her the very first time I saw her compete in a competition on TV When she leaped into my heart and has stayed And she became my first and favorite sweetheart!

Actions speak louder than voice, they say
Words think louder than thoughts, I say
Always listening to me feels better than ever, you say
But sacrifice…

It’s the reason why we are here
It’s the soul of existence
It’s the advance nature of our true selves
Yet goes beyond self

It’s more honest than spoken words
It’s more resounding than music

 It’s more than just feelings
It’s borne out of a genuine heart
It’s an extension of our inner convictions
The total expression of true love

For what greater sacrifice hath a man than this
That a man gave up his life for his friend

Heart reserrector

* This is a poem about basically feeling like when a part of yourself dies. Then certain
people can come along and make that one part feel alive and better than ever
because you trust them to be just yourself*

The serpent of Unrequited love
Sunk it’s toxic fangs deep into the very marrow of my being
My heart heaved with its poison, which was void of loving emotion
So I tucked it away…… six feet under my subconscious…
My mind was a cemetery of regrets.
Things I should have done, and when I should have learned to walked away.

Then there was you……………
You were the misty avenger that stepped out of the abyss
Shook my snow globe world upside down.
Speckling my VISION with light, snow and glitter
Heart reserrector, you’re honesty was my defibulater
Thumping life organ through my sweater
coloured my cheeks a candy apple red from pleasure
giving me the courage to break free from the prison of woeful

We lay on your carpet, filling our lungs with laughter
I am Exposed, and exuberant……. Letting my true personality resurface
No longer am I a hesitant seal peeking over the ocean’s surface,
Drinking down the pleasure of a sunrise

This moment with you …………………… a Utopian treasure
You take my breath away… and your beauty is immeasurable…………………….
Heart reserrector
Your wisdom is celestial,
My guardian angel
For your insight I am eternally thankful

Average Lazy Bum

He’s just your average lazy bum,
a sweet, lovable loser
Who loves to stick his index finger
high in the air,
and tell you he’s number one
When in fact, technically,
his favorite sports team is
It’s success by association,
as he moons the neighborhood kids
Because he don’t have much else going on in his life,
in the way of personal achievements
Lost a good job,
lost his good wife
Even his best friend ran away twice
Doggone it!
But rest assured, he loves living
the surf bum life
He’s just your regular couch potato,
a sour grapes eating man-bear
Giving out high-five grunts
when he snore
Highlight reel dreams of when his team
made the game-winning score
As a matter of fact, technically,
the refs blew the call ...
his team never shoulda had the ball
He once entertained big dreams,
as a two-sport high school stud
Now, he’s a balding barrel of trash talk,
his star flamed out ... now his fizzled life is a dud
It crash landed with a thud
He blames everybody but himself,
as he cracks open another Bud
Flagstaff Flash is just your average lazy bum,
sweeping the carpet on his chest
for any broken taco shells or salad croutons
Relaxing all day in his Laz-e-Boy,
got his beefy hand on the five-position lever
Life ain’t never been so carefree good ...
he’s winning again,
as his fantasy team is doing better than ever

My Everything

My Everything
By Nate Spears

There's somethings in life
You can’t explain its existence
But you notice immediately
When it’s existence missing

There's somethings in life
You know it’s just right
When it goes left
You know it’ll be back
Even better than ever

Somethings in life
That makes nothing else even matter
Those things in life
Become your everything
My everything is you
You're the one thing I can't live without
You're the one thing I can't lose
You are truly
My every thing

My Plea

I'm making this plea for your love to return
This is a hard lesson I had to learn.
I learned a woman like you, is a precious jewel
Meant to be tresured, not meant to be ruled.
I tried to change you & did not suceed
Because you were perfect as you were & exactly what I need.
You tried to show love & I did not recieve it
You said you would leave me & I chose not to believe it.
I thought you'd always be here & you'd never go away
My ego told me don't worry, she'll be here, she'll stay.
But I was wrong, you left & took my heart with you
Now I'm lonely & sad now each day I miss you.
I sit here so lonely, broken & scared
Because I didn't say I Love You & acted as if I didn't care.
You wanted a man to love you & ADORE you
I didn't take heed & chose to ignore you.
You wanted love, affection & a little of my time
I didn't do those thing, because my time was mine.
You wanted a man to love God as you you do
I didn't make time for that, now we are through.
Now I pray to the same God, you tried to lead me to
Begging & pleading him to give me back my love that was so true.
I ask him to please return My Leesah back to me
But he ignores me like I did him & doesn't hear my plea.
All I need is just one more chance
To prove my love, another shot at romance.
Being without My Leesah is an unbearable pain
My heart is heavy, I wonder if it could take this strain.
I can't take the misery nor the loneliness too
My heart is on fire, I have no idea what to do.
I can't bear losing you, it's hard to be alone
This plea is is my last effort, please come home.
I can't bear the pain & the hurt is so great
I just hope & pray that my plea is not too late
I lost my lover, my wife Leesah, my soulmate.
I'll love you the way a man is supposed to
My heart will be open & never closed to you.
I'll never ignore you or take you for granted
A new seed of love in my heart will be planted.
Things will be better than ever, I know this for sure
My love will be HONEST, real & oh so pure.
I'll love you with every inch of my heart & I will never desert you
I'll always cherish your love & never again hurt you.
This is my promise as God as my witness
I ruined our union & I beg for forgiveness.
Leesah I'm sorry for all the pain I caused
Believe me when I say
Come back to me & I'll love you better than ever
Each & everyday.
Leesah I Love You!

Turning Around

Woke up having a great day
The clouds in my sky are white not grey
dramas gone and took strife along the way
I know yesterday I was feeling down
But the beauty in today has turned my frown around
Things are getting better than ever
For some reason all I can do today is smile
Just thinking of the love in my life for a while
Today is such a beautiful day,
My happiness is back with joy to stay
And I know it’s because of you
That I am seeing a new view
The beauty in the clouds and the bright sun shining down
I can see that things are just turning around

Tales of Helsinki and Skateboarding

It smells a little like Christmas
Cold and kind of like peaches-don't make fun of that
And it's not even September
And this time I swear if you jump off that
I'm not going to the hospital
My blood stained shirt from the show
Still smells of clove cigarettes
How can you still look so good?
Never Summer.
There's something wrong with us-- really.
Yeah, cause you'll want that there in fifteen years.
You are such an-
You got the idea four cliche's ago
Hi, hello. Yes. Thank you. Come on in.
Our subliminal messages will begin in 2.5 seconds.
You like the way you make me feel like a child.
And You're not allowed to talk anymore.
A bit chilly outside--okay, blizzard.
Don't go out in that. Doubt the car will make it back.
Taste of deep red wine. Reminds me of the word Cabaret.
Funny shows, it's like they won't let you go
Is everything broken?
Lock my bedroom door.
We're trying to have a conversation...okay, sure.
God I love the life you've made
Out there on a ramp
With everyone watching, my clothes fit better than ever
Like the hat, give him that back
One in the same
Nothing in common, no more useless input
Is that real? Really, is it?
We're going out tonight. I want you to go.
Especially when I see you 3 times a month.
How many ideas can you steal? Make it part of your own appeal.
I don't know how mnay more times I can laugh at that one
So I'll set on the snow
Think of where we are
And what you all did to my car...
This was the best time wer ever had
Then I'll go inside
Try to light our fireplace. Failure.
Be careful. You can stay with me. We'll stay inside.
It's your bedroom, but you still knock on the door before you come in
So glad I live here
If only everything was this easy for everyone as it is for them
This is the part I always wanted to play
Is this what you always want me for?
I love your face and hands
And the way you just don't care
So naive. That turns you on, I know enough to know that.
Have I really lost that much weight?
Things are so great it makes me upset.
Be my serious side and I'll be your soul
Are they still out there?
Better go check to make sure they're alive.
You love me.
And I love this.

Thought you'd protect me.
Love me. And be the one to turn to.
Till I stand strong on my feet.
Thought I was born out of you.
You bore me in your womb.
Or, did you regret all through?
For I reminded you of someone you never loved?

You gave me things, more than I must have needed.
But I was young. I asked for some love. Some true affection.
Or was your love something I never understood?
I was unwanted. You said, you wish I were dead.
But I was only ten.

I grew up. Lonely. Insecure.
Not saying there weren't times you were not nice.
But, I never felt loved, nor did I ever love you.
You loved Lisa. She was older. And you asked her to hate me.
You said, I am never good as her or ever can be.
You said, no one likes me, or ever will.
I believed it for too long, and yet I fear you are right.
Cause when I found the ones I thought who just might
They broke my heart, like you did.

You know the times I got whipped or beaten
I don't feel that pain anymore.
And even though we don't see each other much
I see that anger in your face, and I hear your voice
Scenes from the past filling my head
Telling me how everything was wrong with me.
Or when father told me, I can never be good enough
Cause he didn't approve of your upbringing
I felt perhaps my existence was meaningless.
I asked too often why was I brought into this world if this was you had to offer.

But it's not just you. It's a joke in my life.
Those who were meant to be my strongest pillars
Have crushed me brutally.
Those who were to take pride in who I become
Tried bringing me down.
Those who promised me forever love
Took that well guarded box of trust and threw it down the gutter.
You don't ever want to look into my heart.
It's scarred with wound and decked with makeup.

But, I have learned to put up that smile
Everytime we meet now, let's pretend it's all fine
But let me tell you, there's a stone wall
Guarding me better than ever.
Cause I am neither ten, nor twenty five anymore.
And that heart? It is a mess.
But no one can reach it.

Hello there, I'm sure you already know who I am,
My full name is Oliver Lee Kirkland, everyone.
I am a mere twelve years old at this moment,
But I love to write poetry, here's is my life, full and done.

I was nothing more than an accident when I was born,
My real mother even considered abortion when I came along.
But she went along with it, and then I was born somehow,
But I was a very sick little thing, I wasn't very strong.

The only family I knew that loved me was my grandfather,
The one that I was named after in the first place.
When I was wrongly beaten by my parents, he was always there,
Always there to fill the void in my chest, the empty space.

It was a few days before my birthday that I found my parents,
Sprawled on the ground, overdosed on new drugs they found.
I was sent to live with my grandfather, who I could trust,
But for some reason, I always felt sadness linger around.

Tragedy struck, and my grandfather was diagnosed with cancer,
And I remember those last words he uttered before the line went blank.
"Spread your wings, child..." He said with a worn out smile,
And tears fell down my face as my heart sank.

I was sent to an orphanage, where I was rather ignored,
No one liked me, I was always left out or alone.
Without interaction, I fell into a dark hole that I couldn't get out of,
And my eyes were as dull as a stone.

Luckily, I was adopted by a very sweet woman by the name of Alice Bell,
All alone without love because she couldn't have any children.
With a smile, she swept me away and treated me better than ever,
Overjoyed to finally have a child of her own, it was gift she was given.

Now, we spend our time together as a happy mother and son,
Doing many things together that I never could have done before.
Like my grandfather said, the smart man knew everything,
I have spread my wings, and they will lead me on forevermore.

My number #1 true friend in the world a.k.a @ Oklahoma and school. She is always there for
me no matter what happens and she always listens to you and whenever you ask her for her
help she’ll help you. And we talk just bout everything and whenever we get a chance. And
we’ve known each other about 5 years now and forever and ever ? and every friendship
has a story and always has a up or down problem so you not alone not even close. And if
you wanna know people just start talking to them so you could get to know them a little
better than ever. And negative people look up to us because how close we are and true
friends do everything together. And we get along with other people no matter people say to
or about us because we don’t care at all because it doesn’t hurt us at all and if people claim
to be one of your friends and they talk bad behind you to be honest that’s not a true friend
at all. These girls a.k.a Amanda and Serenity are true friends they talk to each other, there
for each other and they have more sad and upset moments with each other no matter what.
And they always put everything to the side so they could find out the problem is or what
happened or sais to them these are true friends no lie ? and you cant find no one else out
there like us ?. And you have to be honest at all times so they we could understand the

The worst thing that ever happened was the whole web page disappeared to the

Think of all the magic it could bring
If you could enunciate that earth-shattering meme
That toy of a mess, that joke of suffering
Think of all the portraits that would immediately be torn out the window
With Alice, we know not where to...
The White Rabbit spoke to you between the key notes
But the sounds of machines, sirens and mobile chirps
Captured your image better than ever before.
Now the novel is writ in adamantine
Driving Murder She Wrote
On wheels of quite a rather unusual spoke

Notes denote the libraries of what I could have written
By ink, by digital portation
Nevertheless, the static you are now picking up on your surveillance boats
Is directed as words that are all already in the boats themselves
Need proof? - well,
That's what YOU are here for
To say what has not yet been said, by you
And to walk into the sunlight

Knowing the River's Run between a desire and a mating call
Between a moment,
And Two

Green Day

Green Day's been a part of the music scene since 1994 Their music is so cool, it's like
I'm at a real house party in Hollywood, CA, circa 1994. Billy Joel Armstrong, Tre Cool,
and Mike Dirnt are rocking the lives of all of us punk-rock fans and are better than ever.
They're based in San Francisco, CA. Green Day's music is so rad, so entertaining, it makes
me want to buy all of their albums. Their songs, like, "American Idiot," "Know Your
Enemy," "Holiday," "Dookie," and other songs by Green Day are the greatest songs of all
time. If I were to buy the video game, Rock Band: Green Day, for the Play Station 3, then
I'd throw a cool party on a Saturday night, soon. After Green Day retires and the band
members are inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame, their music will live on
forever. I wish I knew all of the song lyrics by Green Day right now.

We’re known as terrorist and are despised by a lot
Accused of being murders, spies and what more
We try our best in life but no one sees it in us, all they do is hate
Hate me because I am Muslim, hate me because I have a different religion, and hate me because I am unique
Rumors spread around by the media doing their job
Blaming us for things we have nothing to do with
What else comes next, well there’s more
Women hated for the veil they wear, proudly covering their hair
We treat each other equally, but to they thinks so, no
Believing women are oppressed, Believing we are ISIS,
But no were much more than you can imagine
We can be doctors, engineers, and so much more making me a Muslim just gives me even more
I am a Muslim woman happy as can be
So what’s this rumors spreading around I hear
We need to stop this and I can only hold so much more
We need to spread the word all over this world that
We, me you are something better than ever
And you have pushed the lever
Of who my Muslim identity is
And I am proud and confident of who I am, especially cause, I am a Muslim

Life is much sweeter and better than ever.
For our grandchildren are the ones who keep us together.
.The love that they give us is better than gold.
We are so happy to have them as we grow old.

Just when you think that your life is not good
That's when a grandchild teaches you
about unconditional love.
They are more precious than rubies or diamonds
and anything in this world they have come to show us
that everything will be as it should

To have them here with us is a Blessing so grand.
I thank God every day for the touch of his hand.
Each day that we live is better and better
Because our grandchildren will always keep us together.

Better Than Ever

Battered not broken
Speak your last rites
And tell me
Without the least bit of maliciousness
Have a good night
A long sleep
But don't forget that you won't awake.

So just stop this fighting
You ain't gonna win
All your life
As we think you're a joke
You must have someone
Looking out for you
Cause you should have been long gone.

It goes to show that I
Can't lean on humanity
To get me through
Oh, I'm not condemning
The teachers, mentors
Along the roughest part
But they were put there for a reason
Destined to be in view
I always ask and receive
Guidance from the one
That is always present
Ready to listen
With unconditional love, faith and resilience.
So, when it's time to go
It's up to him
For he doesn't leave that awesome responsibility
To mere amateurs like you
I'm back
And better than ever.

Victoria's Secret

I just so happen to know
This girl by the name of Victoria
One of my better friends, a better-than-ever friend
Ever since scraping my knee on the playground
In 2nd grade, sweet little Victoria came to my aid
And ever since, we've been the best of the best
Not a contest of who I would pick over the rest
But ever since high school, she began acting out to be cool
Acting more whore-ish
Piercing on her bottom lip
Random kissing in public
And I honestly had enough of it
Victoria and I then finally to conversate about it
I was curious about it, and hopefully could help out
But then those words came out: "My time's about to run out".
I was struck with confusion and worried to the fullest
Victoria's eyes start to water, my heart began to falter
Voice cracking, she uttered, "I have AIDS".
I could feel she was lost and afraid
Her feelings and emotions were spayed
And I was just as speechless as the next guy
Not knowing what to do, all I could do was try
And console her, be a friend and be there for her
She swore to me not to tell anyone
I accepted it, kept it, cause she's not just anyone
Things afterwards were very awkward
I wanted to tell someone but I didn't want to hurt her
My feelings were in the air
My words were filled with despair
My emotions wanted to keep quiet
But my heart felt the need to say it was dire
So I then told her parents, right in front of her
The way her eyes stared into my soul so coldly
I felt like I made the biggest mistake ever
But I perhaps lost my best friend's trust
Not very clever
The very next day, I spotted Victoria outside of school
I tried to talk to her to see if everything was still cool
Victoria then snapped and pulled a gun on me
My hands flew in the air
My stomach turned flips on me
My words stumbling and trembling, I tried to get her to reconsider
Her actions, pretty volatile, although I knew her reason for being bitter
As she lowered the gun from in front of my face
She got teary eyed again
Look at me with a smile, crying, said "I'm sorry"
In a split second, she turned the gun on herself
And off it went in her throat
As her body dropped to the ground
I dropped to my knees
I begged and I pleaded for help
But it came too late
Her blood covered my hands
Her death covered my heart
In a cloud of uncertainty
Regret, and extreme guilt
The flowers on her grave are the only tokens of expression
For how I felt, now that she's gone
Victoria's secret will never pass on...

Eiger counter

Eiger counter

"Don't throw the baby out with the bath water," please the water was clean after
father and mother and the water was better than ever even after the brother but
when eye took my bath the poor baby was lost they looked in the drain but poor
baby was gone there forever. The moral is kept as a memorial there does not
toss out the clean water.
A coward dies a thousand times but a hero dies but once and a man who lives
much like a DOG is always spit upon but to be a dog still tied to the living is more
to be desired than heroing because the bible says a man who lives is better
than the dead.
We will get married in JUNE no we will marry in JULY or even MAY is better
because the ewe is born the first time in the month of May showers and what’s in
JULY well the CHARLAX was born and bred.
Bread was given out according to status. Workers were given the burnt bottom of
the loaf, the family got the middle and guests got the top or the "upper crust."
The loaf of bread is still the status but now the homeless man gets his loaf
without the burnt part on. Eye am now the uppermost crust.
Making the batter up planting the leaven worth leaving the center for mye family
Pease and thankzx ewe one and all for peas given do not thaw until the fall from
vine refine the peas and make a handful last for days.
This is why the nursery rhymers’ fortold:
Peas porridge hot, peas’ porridge cold, pea’s porridge in the pot nine days old."
Enter laughing.
It was a sign of wealth that a man could "bring home the bacon." They would sit
around with guests, cut off a bit of pork and "chew the fat." Then they would toss
the ole pigskin.
Play leap pig again. Slop the children. Smoke the hambone and root in the cellar.
What a feller this poet seems at work. He has a eiger counter at his home.
