PICTURE THIS

Picture life in heaven
perhaps it's time to try
Better safe than sorry
And live with God,on high;
Picture all the people,
Loving day, by day

Picture there,a wedding
a supper with a feast
where the last is first
and the grandest is the least;
Picture all the people,
Loving day, by day

You may say I am dreaming
but I'm not the only one
I pray someday you'll join me
For I know,His will be done

Picture there a river
no curse,no day,no night
Eternally together
The Lord God gives us light;
Picture all the people,
Loving day, by day

You may say I am dreaming
but I'm not the only one
I pray someday you'll join me
For I know,His will be done

Welcome Back to School

It is almost that time,
the summer is disappearing in the skies.
Have to make sure I am able to educate,
teaching writing to the youth is how I elevate.
I have:
my lesson plan book,
a pretty business suit,
2 pens and a pencil,
a cup of coffee in hand,
Welcome Back to school letters,
a dry erase marker,
a pair of slippers (in case the heels hurt),
a pack of Tylenol (better safe than sorry)
and a heart full of standards that will not be lowered!

It is time to teach!!

Criminals-- Part 5

After the ware house we decided to
seperate for a week or two
I grabbed a brew down on Girard
avenue
thats right where you can still see
the ghost tormenting all but the so-called
sinners.
My trip out of town will be a different
kind of assembly, a couple of sharp shooters
we found dabbling at the range
we pay them to watch our back from the
roof as I make my transaction.
Sorry the stun guns retired for now
may not even have to use these ones I got
Better safe than sorry.

I love Tiffany but their not in season
right now
not like gold or rear coins
not like some rear dinosaur bones off
the coast of Australia.
I f I could find that rear specie I'd
retire as young as I am and move to England.

To Be Continued....

To my Sons Your Farthers Instructions

The words I give you are sound
They have been my comfort
They have been my companion
This is Protocol never be anxious
Be Slow to speak and quick to listen
And when in doubt, wait and think about it
Always respond and never react to a crisis
Never panic always remain the Master of your emotions
Guard your heart with all cost
Beware of Cupids Arrow
And the fiery darts of Satan
Hunt and gather and always remember
A wise son prepares for the winter
What is sought in a man is kindness
Never correct a scoffer less he hates you
Let no man take advantage of your sister
And the day will come listen
When Satan comes against you
Go into war as an Appache Warrior
Learn how to step quietly when Leaves are under your feet
Inside the Forest
And when you speak, speak as an oracle of God
Be thankful always
And be generous to those less fortunate
Collect and share knowledge
Theres not a man alive who knows everything
be aware, be careful
Don't listen to lips that flatter
Men are full of evil
They won't sleep until they seek your blood
And this Rainbow of Faith that I place over you
Remember God is real
And the only proof of his exsistence is the Devil
God is everlasting Love and tender Mercies
HE says " I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy
and I will harden whom I will harden"
Yes my Sons God gives and He takes away
He tests the heart of men
Men may do you evil, but God will mean it for your good
Fear no man, no not even the devil
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom
Listen to that still small voice
For it is His guidance
And there is no need to fear the unknown
For it is God Almighty who leads you into new directions
Be humble for you are my seed
Never follow another if he trys to lead you
If a man ask you to run a mile with him run two
The enemy sits and waits to twist your words
And we all make mistakes
Sit quietly when you suffer defeats
Learn from them and you will be a fine Leader
If you tell afriend I'm coming over tomorrow
Do everything in your power to arrive at the decided hour
And yes! it is always better late than never
Take cuation no man knows when his end will come
Wisdom says take heed to my words
For they will prolong your life on earth
A man has said it is better safe than sorry'
Well the one speaking says " If it ain't worth it don't take the risk"
And when a good woman is in an impossible situation
Come quick and never tarry
Boast to no one
For it is a matter of discretion
Respect Authurity
For your Freedom is worth more than a Kings ransom
Be ready to answer any man who questions you
Just be aware he is trying to trip you with his words
Violence should always be your last resort
Im telling you you must really be creative
God is not a deadend
He is the way out of them

A Safe State Of Affairs

Better safe than sorry?
Fallacy.
I say, better sorry than safe.
Even if brought, calamity.
Safe never dreams.
Safe never changes.
Safe found no new thing, new places,
a new people's strangeness.
New cultures, new stars, new planets.
Safe hides in fortified sameness.
Safe only discovered a sandy smile.
Flightless, oversized bird that it is.
Safe killed a man.
Could have made them miss.
His safe mate cowered.
Under cover.
Only to discover,
mortality, by a bullet's 'dis'.
Safe never found truth of love.
It only starved for affection.
Cradled warm as an egg.
Guarding against insurrection.
Yet unwilling to leave a crack,
it incubates....
The chick always born too late.
Safe never won.
Safe never even begun.
Safe never took the winding path.
Safe stayed true.
Safe finished the race last,
never having run.
Uneven surface ahead.
Safe didn't want to stumble.
So Safe walked.
Even as the heart began to crumble.
It's tears flowed,
as the organ wailed its beaten note.
It wanted to swim deep and fast.
Not paddle warily slow,
templar, hidden in the moat.

"Don't count your chickens
before they hatch."
"....benefit of the doubt."
"Nobody's perfect."
"Until you walk a mile...."
"Well, you know what you should do."

..................nah.
I'll eat them before they fall!
Some people are just dismal,
acting levelly and small.
I am. Because I am me!
Just as you are, too!
I'll do me and you do you.
Sound fair?
Choose and live your truth.
On my turn, I'll take the dare.

I reiterate.
I'll run that mile,
because I might be late.
And yes, I do know.
What I decide, will be my fate.
Better that than safe.
Safe won't get me there.
Not now, not ever.
Not at Safe's rate.
Safe is another word for...
Afraid.
And that, my dear people,
will never climb life's grade.
But please..take your safety.
Your fear.
Lay them here.
At my feet.
I'll need something to step on.
The cliff I'm going for
is beautiful,...but steep.

How's Your Old Ticker Ticking

How's your dear old ticker ticking
When's the last time you had it checked
If it's been a while then get right to it
Better safe than sorry by heck

Us old guys need to keep on top of it
Procrastination can be a deadly thing
Knew a man who's now six feet under
Thought life was just one big fling

We're all here for just a short time
So be happy and smile as you proceed
Make sure you live your life to the fullest
As the years fly by at full speed

How's your dear old ticker ticking
Don't dare say 'I'm feeling pretty well'
You may be feeling fine and dandy today
Then wham... it's the final bell!

Lessons Learned

Lessons Learned

Forgive but never forget,
Don't sweat the small stuff.
What goes around comes around,
Always think of the big picture.
Lessons Learned

Don't throw stones at glass houses,
The grass isn't always greener.
Appearances are not always what they seem,
A pretty smile is not a welcoming heart.
Lessons Learned

Appreciate the moment,
Love unconditionally.
A mother holds a family together,
Don't cut your nose despite your face.
Lessons Learned

Strength comes from within,
Hard work pays off.
With patience comes maturity,
Never give up.
Lessons Learned

Hatred can eat your soul,
An apple does not fall far from a tree.
A happy wife brings a happy life,
Better safe than sorry.

Mistakes are Lessons Learned.

Tomorrow Is the Tenth Anniversary of 9-11

The Tenth Anniversary of 9-11 is Tomorrow

By Elton Camp

There are many who don’t know what to do
It’s possible that individual panic will ensue
And to be open about it, I would have to admit
If I lived in NYC or DC, I would be having a fit

Perhaps I would find a reason to be out of town
But denying belief that harm would come around
I might assert confidence that we’re well protected
So, by the government and evil plot will be detected

But better safe than sorry I then decide that I’ll be
And so to a more unlikely target I will quietly flee
For there may come to be a blast so horribly loud
Followed by a mushroom-shaped radioactive cloud

In a couple of days, what happens all will know
If true, I can claim that, “In advance I told you so.”
For that is how a bogus prophet can come to be
Make predictions in generalities and wait and see

That is how Nostradamus came to have such fame
Keep it vague so that others his accuracy acclaim
So, if tomorrow, an atomic device should explode
Gullible may exclaim, “About it that guy knowed.”

But if this “prediction” proves to be entirely rotten
Then this write will be quickly and entirely forgotten
And so, if it is still possible, to CNN please tune in
Perhaps you will hear of my “prediction” once again

Manhunt

Close the city! Stop the cars!
Folks should stay inside
While the police determine where
The bomber chose to hide.

Shut the airport! Halt the trains!
Cancel all you’ve planned;
There’s a madman on the loose,
So all should understand.

If I lived near Boston, though,
I think I’d be annoyed.
All the day’s appointments
Would instead be null and void.

Better safe than sorry
Is what’s said while he is sought,
But patience must be wearing thin
Until this guy is caught.
