Best Barbarous Poems

Tell me,
My dear friend,
My beloved brother,
My trusted ally,

Till when are we going to let
The autocrats
The dictators
The despots, and
The tyrants govern us?

Till when do we intend to allow these
Barbarous
Vicious
Immoral, and
Unholy glory-seekers rule our lives?

Till when are we going to permit these ignorant monsters,
To imprison,
To torture,
To maim, and
To kill their own people?

Till when are we going to observe these savages;
Attacking,
Occupying,
Enslaving, and
Obliterating smaller nations?

For how many more millennia do we have to witness the devastation of
Humanity because of these morally impotent criminals who
Instill tons of hatred in the hearts and minds of our fellow humans?

Tell me, my friend, my brother, my trusted ally,
Isn't about time to revolt against such malicious rulers?
Against such practices?
Against war?
Against ignorance, and
Against injustice?

Has not the time come to replace these bloodthirsty evil men
With virtuous men?
With men of a loving heart and mind?
With knowledgeable men?
With compassionate men for peace?
With men of wisdom and justice?

Come now, my fellow human,
I wish you would agree with me.
I want you to agree with me.
I beg you to agree with me.
I implore you to agree with me if you, too, wish to see a
Fellowship of men and nations that cares for each other and is:
Kinder,
Nobler, and more
Loving,
Otherwise,
The afflictions of humanity will never end,
Unless, as Plato* has indicated in his Republic**,
The wise and the just would rule the world
Or
Those who rule the world become just and
Wise!

Financiers feel superior to farmers
and pundits have it over poets.
All to the good because if you think America's
doing just fine, don't skip to the poetry reviews.
Our enemies are barbarous, our allies duplicitous
but our smart bombs are smart - that's how they found you.

Dad said all wars are resource wars. Follow
the money. The world needs more order, nothing
less than Nazis, never may the anarchic man's thoughts
be my thoughts, each shove sends a ping,
shields urge on shields, helmets helmets, we can be
the reigning kings between the last empire and the next

or implement a vision of collective deliberation
and binding agreements. Can China's navy
be harnessed to ensure free passage through
the South China Sea? We'll see how
things work out in the next generation.
In the meantime should I read Henry Kissinger's meditations?

He who thinks poetry's effete
probably considers Darwin a geek and Einstein
a postal clerk. Containment means leaving space
for the passionate and zealous to face themselves
and giving them missiles that don't work.
Slowing everyone down until one thing's done well -

governance or sustenance or brotherhood.
When violence comes to the neighborhood
the hierarchy will hold or fold, it is then the peace work proves relevant.
Failing to achieve understanding, we're searching outer space
for an entity to unite us as humanity.
That person, or city, is consciousness.

By that what is meant. Sitting still and thinking deeply
on the relation of anger to coercion,
systems for correcting the decisions of earlier presidents.
We're required to report incidents of depression
to a doctor because you're a valued member of of our community
or so insignificant no one notices or cares.

How necessary the interface of war and poetry!

Premium Member The Agony of War

Barbarous reason rejoices
and draws strength dispensing death.
Its celebration comes with
cold effigies of blood soaked,
ravaged, masked graves of silence,
leaving any subsequent regret
within the heart of the stonecutter.
The suffocating privacy
of each muddy sepulcher
calls out its loss-but who will listen
through the rumble of the caissons roar?
Fear has no time to mourn.
Only after the flame
leaves its postscript
are the cries of the Widow heard-
then wars agony entreats the soul...

Premium Member The Futility of War

There'll be another empty cot on the camp ground tonight.
Alas, a gallant soldier gave his all in the frightful fight.
His anguished pleas for peace were unheard o'er the battle's roar.
Will humankind ever learn from the barbarous futility of war?

There'll be a pair of empty boots at his memorial service today.
His helmet, rifle and identification tags will also be on display.
Also shown is a photo of a lad in the uniform he proudly wore.
Will humankind ever learn from the horrible futility of war?

Empty arms now hang limply that once held him in fond embrace.
Empty hearts that can only be consoled by the Heavenly Father's grace.
Just a simple marble stone will hallow his name forever more.
Will humankind ever learn from the disastrous futility of war?

At the holiday table this year there'll be an empty chair,
Tho' he'll be absent, they will e'er feel his presence there,
As they reminisce about their hero in precious family lore.
Will humankind ever learn from the merciless futility of war?

Oh! That nations would simply follow the Master's Golden Rule,
Practice brotherhood and learn unto others to be less cruel,
And eliminate for all time such savagery to its very core!
Will humankind ever learn from the brutal futility of war?

A new species

Cunning cheating
and then fleeting,
Machiavellian many
crafting and contriving,
Deceptive dishonest
frankly defrauding,
Slaughtering slaying
bloodshed of massacre,
Conflicts and combats
enmity and warfare,
Uncaring unfriendly
barbarous and brutal,
Savage sadistic
Cruel and unsympathetic,
Cold hearted cold blooded
Insensitive Inhumane.

Contrary to what
God had created,
Is it some new species ?

The Moth

I sat
Dwindling in the all-consuming heat
When a sudden fluttering
Landed upon my knee.

Frantic moth
Gray and white
Took refuge from
The aggressive black ants
Scurrying and ripping at
It's fragile wings.

Full of sympathy
I cupped the frightened
Trembling moth in my
Hands carrying it away
From a timely death
The torture of barbarous ants.

On a nearby tree
Covered in moss and growth
I bid the moth farewell
Cautiously it flutttered
It's torn spotted gray and
White wings
And took refuge
In the cracks of the bark.

Small little moth
So brave and yet so tiny
To make a struggle
For survival
I pray you made it
just one more day.

In your short
Little life
Like sand in the wind
I pray
Though you may never
Feel the wind
Beneath your wings.

I pray
Before you go
Fade like a small spark
You may feel the sun
On your tiny face
The grass on your skin
Live and know life.

What a simple
and beautiful premise- - - - -
Everything That Lives Is Holy!
If only we
as the human race
could follow it
and give Life the respect
that it deserves
We'd have no more
degradations, barbarous acts,
despicable killings..... Wars!
All religions preach this concept
It is a thread
that binds all humanity
What will it take for
our leaders to understand this?
Every day there are
so many useless deaths
When will it sink in?
Hopefully with the Grace of God

Africa's Hope

Look at the floor of heaven
Laid with patterns of bright gold
For us, they are but little orbs
But in his motion
Like angels, they sing
So many songs of harmony
To the souls of immortals
And while this muddy vesture of decay
Does gross in them
We mortals cannot hear it.

Hold your fortune for your bliss
A gentle scroll
A diamond ring
All gone
Loss upon loss
Life upon life
Death upon death
Pain upon pain
A man of the people
The villainy the beasts taught him
That he executed
Until things fell apart

Judge him not
And mourn him as a legend
Chinualumogu!
For whose sake
The Arrow of the gods granted justice.
Christopher Okigbo called them beasts
David Diop called them vultures
For me
They were weeds on our soil
Colonial masters
Who awakened our sleeping lions

Achebe threw the bomb
And died before it exploded
This cooled his friends
And awakened his enemies
They laughed at his losses
And scorned all his gains
He sought no revenge
Yet his silence scrapped all nations
Thwarted their bargains
And with two heads of fools
He repaid them for one
And then There was a Country

He chose not what many men desired
And rejected the barbarous multitude;
Crystallized the inferiority complex
And fought back to back
For Africa.
No ill luck stirred at first
No tears but of our shedding
No sighs but our breathing
Various creditors sprang
Enemies arose
Yet he'd give up nothing for the wilderness of monkeys
Nor for the generation of wolves

An ambassador of love rarely seen
His pleas were for the taunted and corrupt
And with his graciously seasoned works
He obscured the shows of evil

What damned error!
But some superior would bless and approve it with a text
Hiding the grossness with faint ornaments.
Look on beauty
And you shall see
It is purchased on the weight

Often have you been told
That all that glitters is not gold
Farewell, the hope of Africa
For now, your suit is cold
We love and miss you
But our prayers with you shall be

Oh, Lord!
Arise and await
For his gentle spirit
Unto you dear God
Commits itself to be directed
The Beautyful ones are indeed not yet born
But the born indeed are most beautifully precious
Adieu Albert!

She's a Battle Babe, no chance her style fades, she got genius in spades,

Moors Murder

In the dark dark year of 63
Britain's most gruesome murder spree
A conscious betrayal of innocence
With acts of barbarous decadence
Left five young children, in a hole, on the moor
And no one knows if there are more
For silence followed with lips shut tight
Across fifty years, day and night
The most evil couple that spurned from man
A couple with a killing plan
On a promise of puppies and sweets

He was the outright antagonist
His callous blonde lover willing to assist
While silently waiting holding his breath
With her female trust they were led to their death
Have some apples, I have kittens to stroke
And a murderous intention
To help rape and to choke
On a promise of puppies and sweets

All of these children totally perplexed
Forced to engage in unnatural sex
Then pose for nude pictures before being raped
With all of this heinous so casually taped
Then bludgeoned to death with insatiable force
The boot of a car and onto the moor
A cold wet grave for the body of a child
On a hostile moor, windswept and wild
On a promise of puppies and sweets

Tortured and bludgeoned with axe and with scorn
No pretty flowers nor graveyard for mourn
Outrageously thrown in a hole on the moor,
Where they lay undiscovered for a score year or more
Come little one, come follow me
Come see the puppies, come now and see
I have sweeties and apples and playthings for you
And a callous intention, to end your life, too
As the killers closed their eyes to the gore
On a promise of puppies and sweets

This is the tale of Britain's worst crime
This could not happen, well not at this time
But happen it did and a nation left reeled
As five innocent children lay dead in a field
Continuous silence continues today
Where children are buried, they would not say
As they danced on a grave and took photographs
With Myra so happy, so happy she laughed
Ian looked so proud as he stared at the floor
With a freshly dug patch of a huge hostile moor
That had no divining line, where the land and sky meets
On a promise of puppies and sweets

Both of these monsters spent a long time in a cell
Until the devil welcomed them, to join him in hell
An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth
Deservingly so, that is the truth

Red, White and Blue

Red, White and Blue

I fought in the Revolutionary war
To win freedom from tyranny
I fought for the right to choose my religion
For the right to live free!

No taxation without representation
Was our battle cry!
Fought to uphold the system of slavery.
We would live free or die!

I joined the rebel army
To fight the Yankee way
We sang about ole’ Dixie
And walking with Jesus on judgment day

I must of killed me a hundred or more
Of those Union fools
While Sherman burned down our country
Homes, hospitals and schools.

I fought in the war against Mexico
Fought in Korea, and World War One
We raped, pillaged and plundered
And would not stop until we were done!

I was flying over Japan
As we dropped Enola Gay
Three days later, we let Little Boy fly,
Wishing the innocents to have a nice day.

I walked the Ho Chi Minh trail
Set flame to many straw huts
Killed, raped, a whole lot of gooks
And those traitors back home, said I was nuts!

911 shook us to our core
So we attacked Afghanistan
But getting rid of Saadam and bombing Iraq
Was part of our long-standing genocidal plan.

Shock and Awe, a day that will live in infamy,
Is the name that we gave,
To the barbarous saturation bombing
That laid countless Iraqis in their grave

The fighting continues, war goes on
It’s big business, lots of money
More young men and women, to feed the machine
Have the last laugh, because it isn’t really funny.

Now I am wedded to this chair,
Having lost both legs, sad but true!
I sit straight and erect, as I salute
The red, white and blue!

Way To Great India

Let's change India the way we need,
Let's make a Great India so that others praise our deeds;
Stop discrimination between the ruling and opponent one,
Time for us to have a new India born;
Our forefathers may not be happy with us,
Is it the same India they dreamed in their years?
Who say the Constitution follow equality,
Opportunity to source one,corrupt one who can sell their nationality;
Riches are more respected than who are honest,
The nature of numbness to injustice where resides the best;
Where corporate-politician nexus aim to make people poor,
Where religion is used as medium of income by money-makers;
A nation which was the country of trade, agriculture, traditions and culture,
A nation which is the country of poverty,corruption and nonsense vultures;
Is this the scenario viewed by Bhagat Singh,Bose,Azad and Patel?
Where judiciary and ordinances every now and then fails;
Is this the country shaped by Ashok and Akbar the Great?
Where mediocre s and appointed delegates compels the citizens to have their
works wait;
Complains are made by weaker,
Let we the complaint-makers rise up and work forever;
Work forever to make India economically stable,
Work forever to rise up India from poverty liner;
Educate India to bring new talents from everywhere,
Inspire India to innovate ventures for one-on-one fight with international level;
Make a secular India as religion never teaches bad things to us,
Religion's guidance make people not to be barbarous;
Stop the tears of ancestors who worked hard to make a good India,
Carry on their qualities and pass it with more good qualities to next India;
Celebrate Diwali to wish for presence of Goddess Laxmi in the family,
Wishing money and getting it illegally will be life of unsatisfactory and guilty;
Celebrate Dussehra wishing to have good nature,
Wishing a life of richness will bring a future filled with nothing but failure;
Start from today as it's now or never,
Imaging a Glorified India whose stories will be told forever.

The Words Begin To Dance

Read me,
As the words begin to dance, vacillating bewilderedly.
Without knowing who and where, or even when,
Foolishly stepped out, to meet a kind
The kind with bitter, chunderous, nature.

Kind, very kind without a doubt.
A warm, contrasting view of this being
4 limbs, 2 faces, steps out to greet me,
With its soft, frail hand,
I pity the misunderstood, as rumours mutate
And transmogrify, smothering the barbarous reality
It smiled at me with one face

While the truth is
I set out to meet something different
Something much different,
Something noxious, oppressive being entitled
To authoritarianism, ideology and power

But it wasn’t here.
Or at least not yet
