The Audacity of Honesty (Quality of a True Hero)

In an age of emotional strife
         nothing could be more heroic
                 than knowing when to admit
                        you're wrong, listening to
                              the better angel
                                   who guides you through
                                       divisive
                                          raging
                                            thoughts.

What splendid creatures God has formed.
I think of whales who swim above the silt,
giants of the sea that are cruelly harmed,
harpooned from life by men without guilt.

An industrious creature God has made
in the miniscule form of the worker ant,
hustlers gathering, never rest in the shade
while lazy people complain in angry rant.

What grievances men perpetually bemoan
with their fingers ever stretched for a handout.
In line for freebies while holding a new cell phone,
taking what they can; that's what they're about.

No notion or thought that giving is the better way.
We're the greediest animals this planet has ever seen.
Whales could easily crush the biggest ship in the bay,
and ants are busy keeping their home safe and clean.

Is there some lesson to be learned from ant and whale?
They lack free will and we can't hear what they speak.
Ants and whales commit no crimes sending them to jail.
Is it no wonder then, the future of mankind is so bleak?

Land is man's home, but we invade the depths of the sea
where whales swim and feed exactly where they should be.
What fear would mankind have if it had been God's decree
to let whales come ashore to roam among you and me?

What thought do we give for stepping upon little ants?
Even the red ones don't bother us until we annoy them.
If those insects took revenge and crawled up our pants,
would we have new respect and avoid living in mayhem?

You might think my words are ridiculous suppositions
but take a moment for some serious contemplations.
Whales don't hunt us; ants live in underground conditions.
Doesn't that make us a world of aggressive nations?

The Audacity of Love

lt can greet you as an equal
compliment you like a friend,

can produce a new beginning
or, assault you with an end.

lt can trick you into thinking
that what you believe in now, is true;

then, make you feel like an idiot
as lonliness swallows you.

Life wouldn't be much without it
t'wouldn't even be grace from above;

we all experience it in many forms
that's the audacity of love.

It can also bring you comfort
and can ease your worried mind,

soothe you when you're hurting
and teach you to be color blind;

soften even the hardest of hearts
and give the spirit of a dove,

kill hatred with a knowing glance
that's the audacity of love.

I want to write a poem about one person
- human being
Who?
I don't know
But it is someone I strive to be
Perfection- maybe
Am I going to ever get there?
I make mistakes along the way
What is that person like?
She is not selfish
Think of others first
Generous to a fault
Always giving and look for ways to give
Because she knows that
She would get it from the Lord
Believing in self
Sometimes too much in her
That she would believe
If she thinks it is right
Then it is right
Is it a fault?
Who knows?
But it is usually turned out to be the case
What should I say?
Is this person me?
No
Someone like me?
Yeah
I can't be that perfect
Though I tried to be
What who do I try to be?
Who knows?
Perfection my friend
That is what it does to you
What does it do to you?
Just perfect
Yeah
"Ask not have not"
I am paraphrasing
Didn't the Bible say that?
James 4:2
What other things did the Bible say?
I think you know
Apply it would you?
Now go to the point
Matthew 5:48
"You therefore must be perfect
as your Heavenly Father is perfect"
So there
You got it from the Man
Go get it
What's stopping you?

Tenacity and Audacity

Tenacity and Audacity

When day does start then has been through
What will it be that most men must do
To make sure his marriage becomes complete
So she thinks everything is oh, so sweet.

Each morning he does dust mop floor
See Seattle Seahawks game and the score
And back to man cave he will flitter
After cleaning up all of the cat liter.

Brings Christmas decorations down each stair
And every time as they will look out there
People at all of it have gazed and gazed
Each one of them ended up truly amazed.

His daily duties are complete and all done
And now realizes he is the only one
Who found this to be within his capacity
Thoroughly with audacity and much tenacity.

Audacity

My elementary school was a box full of broken crayons.
You know, the kind that no one likes to use because they fit inside your hands like a hug that lasts three seconds too long.
Me and my classmates wore
hand-me-down smiles.
They were too big for our faces. We figured that eventually we would somehow grow into the sound of our own laughter, put on our happiness like gloves and wear our skin as if our bodies were made by Louie Vuitton, just hoping to be more than tattered pages ripped from the torso of coloring books.
More than the aftermath of two runaway trains headed to the same direction. Our parents drove their affection without insurance, and we are just head on collisions with no coverage. We got shattered windshields for eyes, and tongues made out of safely glass held together by super glue. It’s no wonder we spoke broken English.
With an entire orchestra drowning inside our throats, veins like guitar strings, our voices cracked like the self esteem of single mothers who carried us in their wombs like Molotov cocktails, and prayed that we would somehow find a way to mature into land mines
exploding underneath the feet that have trampled them for too long. These women, they dream in a language only fully understood by the tiles of an abortion clinic on a busy afternoon.
They raised us on top of broken promises made by men with grape jelly in their spines who were too busy jamming to their own
two-cent mix tape that they chose over their priceless women.
We didn’t come with a screwdriver. There is no picture on our box to show you what we should look like when this all is over.
We were just put into this world with a note that read
“Some assembly required.”
We were built inside of a neighborhood that looked as though it was slowly loosing a fist fight to cancer and kemotherapy claimed all of it’s dreams.
You see at a young age I was told that no matter how much furniture you move with a Honda Civic, it’ll never be a pick up truck
but have you ever wanted to be more than what you were made for?
Was there ever moment in your life when all you wanted was to be more than the wounded options that circumstance has nailed to your shoulders?
People question why we even have the audacity to breathe. That’s why when we walk it looks as though we are apologizing for our lungs.
But we ate not sorry for living this loudly.
It’s the only way we know how.

Positive Audacity

One day goes by

Then two to be

Three goes by and four

Is to see

Eyes open, breath easy

Positive life

With confident audacity

New beginnings made trouble-free

Transition from the old to the new

And you will see

The power

of

positively

Audacity

Brutality is Reality
Making your life a Fatality
Morality determines Mentality
Unrelenting Insanity
Vitality is a drive from Urbanity
Inanity perpetuates Profanity
Mundanity a fake posh Formality
Humanity is Volcanity

Audacity

What gives you the right to look at me?
Making your very own conclusion
Not actually getting to see who I am
Just going off of your own personal delusion

Why cant you look pass your arrogant ignorance
Of what I wear and how it is I look
And cease searching for the errors on the cover
And see what could be inside of the book
(Inside of me)

But of course not that would be too easy to do
And would be way to hard to accept
It’s as if one perception has broken in
About me so I refuse to deal with your neglect

Simple and closed minded but why?
Aren’t we all people that eat, s#*t, and breathe?

Or would I have a positive appeal
If I was to hold myself in a way that is properly
Or what we as people call acceptable
Then you would say probably

But for me to change my image would be just like me
Soaking, washing, ringing and hanging to dry my soul
But who will I convince that the way you look
Does not determine your personality or what you know

Obviously not to you the one who looks at me
With eyes that are repeatedly critical
I think its just insecurity inside of you
And from where I am standing it just looks pitiful

Your intellect has you judging without acquaintance
Just going off what it is you think you see
But you don’t at all have the right to
The right to have that audacity
TO JUDGE ME

Premium Member If Audacity Could Make a Sound

if audacity
had sound
or could make sound
I would imagine
a shattering heartbreak

I cannot not tell
if it is little angels disguised as demons
or little demons disguised as angels
this is what I do know
and which is also all that I have always known

                                                     even after all the lies
and even after all the nights I cried

I hear, see, and feel you
it is all painstakingly clear

if audacity
had sound
or could make sound
I would imagine
a shattering heartbreak

Audacity of Hope

Life will never give you what you desire

Life will always give you what you deserve

Because faith can never take the place of sacrifice

There's no substitute for hardwork
you give in, you get back
that's how it works

Crisis are God's wake up call
so in that mess
that situation you find yourself just afloat and keep working because hardwork forever pays

You only have to perform for an audience of one, the lord your creator
It's called"Audacity OF HOPE"

Her

she gave me courage constantly
supported me leaning on my side proudly
made me shine like the morning sun
I glow as a sunflower my heart filled with fun

Dum spiro, Spero to mean it all with positive
for my perception is different, I have another perspective
compos mentis tells me about her
wild thoughts and the dazzling personality pattern

for luck is given from up above named as destiny
whatever it is named after it is topsy-turvy

out worldly blessed with patience and capability to understand
whenever my thoughts wander i find myself in the heart of the wood
seesaw, hide and seek, pendulum swinging mood

audacity, melody to my pains cure

frenzy feelings forever for her
for she is free, clear, and pure as the sky
messing around that i really don't dare
wisdom like the owl, safe and sound when she fly
fly in the heart and settle there for its all the place she can own
the kingdom is hers, the princess eternity my consciousness is her crown

Arrogant Audacity

Do not waste your time trying to judge me
With that disapproving look on your face,
Since your arrogance could never keep pace
With the fact that I just set myself free.
So, please, just go ahead and let me be,
Because this world is too big of a space
For me to be trying to plead my case
To people, as far as the eye can see.
I, since being introduced to the sun,
Got judged by so many, so many times.
Now, I am confessing that I am done
Trying to juggle your lemons and limes.
Therefore, find some other way to have fun,
To keep from committing the same old crimes.

Capacity For Audacity and Elasticity

Capacity For Audacity and Elasticity

We were trying to stretch the issue a bit
and must admit so it will fit.

Could be we came up with the capacity,
To be able to adulate all of the audacity;
When stretched,
Was Far fetched;
Evidently do encourage use of elasticity.
