Audacity
What gives you the right to look at me? Making your very own conclusion Not actually getting to see who I am Just going off of your own personal delusion Why cant you look pass your arrogant ignorance Of what I wear and how it is I look And cease searching for the errors on the cover And see what could be inside of the book (Inside of me) But of course not that would be too easy to do And would be way to hard to accept It’s as if one perception has broken in About me so I refuse to deal with your neglect Simple and closed minded but why? Aren’t we all people that eat, s#*t, and breathe? Or would I have a positive appeal If I was to hold myself in a way that is properly Or what we as people call acceptable Then you would say probably But for me to change my image would be just like me Soaking, washing, ringing and hanging to dry my soul But who will I convince that the way you look Does not determine your personality or what you know Obviously not to you the one who looks at me With eyes that are repeatedly critical I think its just insecurity inside of you And from where I am standing it just looks pitiful Your intellect has you judging without acquaintance Just going off what it is you think you see But you don’t at all have the right to The right to have that audacity TO JUDGE ME
