Risking his life, he does not see the end.
Living his days as there were more to come.
Blind to the truth that's coming 'round the bend.

Recklessly thinking he has time to spend,
Wastes the good days, ensnared by demon rum.
Risking his life, he does not see the end.

Day after day in one another blend.
The wiles of drink have caused him to succumb.
Blind to the truth that's coming 'round the bend.

So many good men can't bad habits mend.
The wake up call won't come in time for some.
Risking his life, he does not see the end.

His friends all beg, he's too good at pretend.
He marches only to his lover's drum.
Blind to the truth that's coming 'round the bend.

His senses gone, he struggles in bedlam.
Nor notes the slowing of the pendulum.
Risking his life, he does not see the end.
Blind to the truth that's coming 'round the bend.

All That She Does

I LOOKED AT HER HANDS/

THEY WERE WITHERED AND DRY/

FROM PEELING THEM ONIONS/

AND DABBING HER EYES/

FROM PEELING POTATOES/

AND FRYING THOSE EGGS/

AND CLIMBING THE STAIRS/

ON HER SORE WEARY LEGS/

FROM WALKING FOR MILES/

IN THE RAIN AND THE ICE/

WHEN THERE'S A CAR OUTSIDE/

THAT COULD GIVE HER A RIDE/

THE TEA THAT SHE MAKES/

SHE NEVER GET'S TO DRINK/

NO TIME FOR HER/

NO TIME TO THINK/

FROM SCRUBBING THOSE FLOORS/

SHE HAS THOSE SORES/

ALL OVER HER KNEES/

BUT YOU DON'T EVEN SEE/

IRONING YOUR CLOTHES/

AND MOPPING YOUR BROW/

WHEN YOU ARE SOOOOOO ILL/

IS SHE REALLY A COW?/

'DO THIS, DO THAT'/

'MAKE SURE THAT I'M FED'/

HANG ON A MINUTE, SHOULD SHE STAND ON HER HEAD??????

NOT BEING FUNNY/

BUT SHE'S NOT HERE TO BE/

A SERVANT TO YOU/

WORKING FOR FREE/

JUST WANT YOU TO THINK/

COS LIKE I JUST SAID/

SHE'S NOT A SERVANT/

WHAT WILL YOU DO WHEN SHE'S DEAD?????????????

For the Sake of You

I’ve done everything you ask
But it’s never good enough
You just keep wanting more
And it makes it so rough

I can’t think of anything else
I’ve done all I possibly can
You still lack the faith
You still don’t act like a man

It’s always something more
Every time I turn around
Nothing can ever suffice
So you run me in the ground

I’m tired of never gaining
This is the last time I do
Anything with my heart
Just for the sake of you

You will never have faith
Then things will only fall apart
Again I won’t win anything
But a lonely broken heart

Sometimes I wonder why I tried
Why I never walked away
To escape the pain and tears
I put myself through day to day

I can no longer give to you
Everything you ever ask
Look inside to find some truth
If you ever want this to last

Vagabond

Vagabond

Rain...thunder...wind...
All are around me
But I notice none of them.
I am a vagabond,
Never allowed friends
Nor enemies alike
I wander alone...all alone
I feel the weight of this burden.
But you'll never know what it's like
To live on the fringe,
Never ignored
Yet never acknowledged.
Just existing.
Blowing from one place to another,
Trying to find a place you'll conform
Oh yes, I know the burden you carry.
END YOUR SEARCH
I've trudged our weary path long enough
To know this: the ones like us,
The outcasts, rebels, and misfits......
The VAGABONDS
Have no place in this world.
We'll never fit, so why try?
Not that I haven't tried
Oh how I've tried!
But you just look away
Snicker behind your hand
Pass the smug comments to your friends.
And I pretend not to know
Not to realize.
I and the ones like me, understand.
So be careful.
Next time you share snide remarks,
Think twice.
Because you, the ones with all the friends,
Will end up worse than I.
You'll become one of us,
Isolated
Alone
With no one to call your friend.
When you see the one person who
Immediately makes you think
"freak"
Take the time to look under their mask
And you'll stay away
From the path I've led.
All alone..

Frost

I know you can see the frost that surrounds me.
With each step I take it forms there on the ground.
Do you see how the ignorance of your sterotypes have shaped me.
Will you be able to tolerate it's silence as it brings you down.
I know your not sure whats happening, you took no time to learn and see.
In an instant you made your decision, and missed all the warmth in me.
So you must live with this indignation.
The frost won't numb the pain.
As slowly it engulfs you, as it leaves me and is yours to gain.

I can see how your surprised.
Frozen there in time.
There's no point to beg and plead.
There will be no special signs.
There's just one warning when you see it come.
It's all the frost on the ground in a warm summers sun.
We have to account to how we treat one another.
We have to account one day for our life.
The frost can be sent to teach you a lesson.
When it's sent it travels day and night.

I see your frozen tears shatter at my feet as they fall to the ground.
I know your pain but what can I do.
Look in my eyes to see what you can learn, without me speaking a sound.
When the last time you helped someone who needed you.
Are you not getting a little warmer, as you start to understand.
My step yes is frosty, but look a little deeper and I'll let you be warm again.
So don't be so quick to judge your fellow man, he's one who could be in pain.
I can come back to call on you, next time I will bring real distain.

Premium Member Time's Onslaught

The hands of time can't be reversed
For hourglass' sand must flow each day.
When life isn't found as intellect rehearsed
The sand doesn't slow nor does it stay.

As a respecter of persons time is not deft
So relish each moment as you travel.
Seeking the max from time you've left
For comes a day when life will unravel.

I sit forlorn delving on things withheld
Excavating resentment from a shallow grave.
Toward one whose thoughts could not meld
But death will someday end that crave.

Chalk and Chains

Another way to make a mistake
Another way to loose face again
One more time to run and hide
One more way to live not die

This time ill let you in
Let you go inside my mind
Two paths
Two avenues
To Dr Jeckel
Or Mr Hyde
Waltz through the chalk and chains and the flesh of the great un-dead
Toss a coin
And leave right now
And the venom will not be spread

Stuck in a corner with my hands on my head
Praying things won’t be said
Wish I could fly away now
Or to hide under my own bed

Does N E 1 Know What Crime It Is

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT CRIME IT IS?

There once was a time when time didn’t seem like so little time
A time serendipitously sublime
There was once a clock that didn’t tick so fast
alas now that’s all part of the past

There once was a time when time took its time
Now it’s been altered into a crime
The sun didn’t dial the numbers as quickly
And sometimes time’s speed leaves me simply sickly

There once was a time when playtime never seemed to end
Time, back then, was still a friend
There once was a time when time wasn’t an enemy of mine
And I’d go backward if there wasn’t a dead-end sign

There once was a time when time could go quickly or slow
A time that, in my maudlin mind, will forever glow
But quickened time has taken it’s time and toll much as it must
Until from your last weakened breath you softly sigh, “dust to dust”

Pusing the Skies

no time to stop and think
just realize,no time to really live
just make the time
Friends are what youre really living for
now they all know the truth, the outside starts seeping through

Tongue Tied

Her tongues tied
But her hair's down
She smiles, the only time she smiles is when there's people around
And she cries,
Yeah the only time she'll cry is when she knows there's no sign of life at this time of night
In such a small little town
So put on your face
As best as you can
Run from your fears
run from this place
As fast as you can
And these tattoo's
Are a part of me
A failed attempt
To hide what’s underneath
I break open these scars
To start over new
One more cut
I bleed over you
And we fall
And break into a million pieces
I’m chasing after you
Constantly questioning myself when I’m around you, over analyzing everything I do
And I don't need this
Yet I stick around to see how many times I can screw everything up
It's like a marry go round
With it's ups and down
Following each other
Going in one big circle with one another
Just to get.....back.....to where we started
What if the start was the end?
Crawling up underneath my skin
Breaking off
As I dig my fingernails in

To Block the Clock

TO BLOCK THE CLOCK

Oh 'tis grief with no relief
does make this man shed his belief
no days nor years to be my cure
with only hunger and time i must endure

each sun rises from the dark
and i to dismiss the lilt of a lark
early morning wiings favored to fly
and i with but another eve's goodbye

this a wound bares well its source
with my flesh and soul of course
oh a blade gripped well by time
robbed of reason, remorse in rhyme

it is excrutciating hating the damnable clock
with sorrow the second hand cannot block
oh by time 'tis torment sent
both it an its accomplice will not relent

time's aide the clock bares a bloody palm
no comfort in any prophecy or psalm
only wounds and worry of time a thief
and oh 'tis grief with no relief
