Vagabond

Vagabond Rain...thunder...wind...  All are around me But I notice none of them. I am a vagabond,  Never allowed friends Nor enemies alike I wander alone...all alone I feel the weight of this burden. But you'll never know what it's like To live on the fringe,  Never ignored  Yet never acknowledged. Just existing. Blowing from one place to another, Trying to find a place you'll conform Oh yes, I know the burden you carry. END YOUR SEARCH I've trudged our weary path long enough To know this: the ones like us, The outcasts, rebels, and misfits...... The VAGABONDS  Have no place in this world. We'll never fit, so why try? Not that I haven't tried Oh how I've tried! But you just look away Snicker behind your hand Pass the smug comments to your friends. And I pretend not to know Not to realize. I and the ones like me, understand. So be careful. Next time you share snide remarks, Think twice. Because you, the ones with all the friends, Will end up worse than I. You'll become one of us, Isolated Alone With no one to call your friend. When you see the one person who Immediately makes you think  "freak" Take the time to look under their mask And you'll stay away From the path I've led. All alone.. Vagabond
