Premium Member Health Glows

Oh, dear; cheer-up, see this intensive care unit-gear
Bare now its rare health-giving share
As I dare God to grant my Dad His reviving welfare!

Diligent nurses, marked with services graciously excellent:
Thanks for your gentle consoling nurture
Coupled by your affable comforting gesture!

Midst well-being blows along hospital bill woes
The Lord's grace* flows upon life's race of sorrow's trace
While Dad's restoration glows by the Omnipotent faith-brace!

*Romans 16:20 And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Premium Member Those Pair of Latent Eyes

She has a pair of subtle eyes to brood in forlorn,
the vile tale of heart rending cacophonic dissolution.
Those eyes were meek, never crude
to yearn the ties of proximity longed!
Those meek adorable eyes have endured
the absolute phases of reckless decimation:
have witnessed the brutal armageddon
of its plunderers desolation,
who have thwarted her genial expectations!

She has those mystic musing eyes
to impulse in pensive disposition,
an amiable abode of assured assertion,
to recreate the invisible affable bonding of elation;
a placid reciprocating ambience of virtuous relation:
has flair for the protection, the care, the infallible affection,
despite, those hands' propensity for imprudent desolation!

Those pair of sober eyes longed to thrive in composure and attention; in delectation, never in aversion!
Oh! what a horrific sight, with the axes in the hands,
the slayers and usurpers of its tranquil serenity
are waiting like sordid savages for her dire extinction!

Her latent moistened eyes are witnessing the march of those executioners:
are sobbing in utter horror and dismay,
cursing and shrieking quietly her non kinetic endeavours,
to conserve the sacred entity in virgin forests; pristine,
from the unscrupulous callous ventures of the predators.

She has those whimpering eyes to foresight;
to remind the dire repercussions
of dereliction of reckless deviations;
Are wailing and mourning in utter seclusion,
the ceaseless thumps of the usurpers' annihilation.

Those Pair of Latent Eyes are Nature's Eyes, neither vague, nor obscured:
silently screeching and watching,
the relentless heedless ravagers' devastations,
Not yet any restoration, despite beseeching imploration,
needless to predict, will reveal in various manifestations!

Poetrysoup

It happened quite accidentally
As if by chance, this anomaly
I did not know how it could be
That here is where I’d post my poetry

A poem I had written today
Remembering World War One Day
I’d written what I’d had to say
Not too long winded as is my normal way

It seems so strange as I recall
How I did through google trawl
Fishing for a place I’d call
A library for my poems all

And there it was among them all
Poetrysoup as I recall
“What a strange name” I thought out loud
As its name just seem to stand put proud

I opened the site and what surprise
Myriad Poets and poems before my eyes
Like a child I clicked from “room to room”
And voraciously did verse consume

People read our verse and comment some
Each and every word all welcome
What a friendly affable lot
This worldwide kitchen in one pot

At last, a place to call my own
Along with others for their poems’ home
This meeting place; this PoetrySoup
Makes me feel so cock-a-hoop

Sleep With the Dot

“You won’t be satisfied’
-That was the voice i heard
and i turned the pages of the manuscript,
one by one;
and it featured the pearls impreganted to them
	turning gold
dissecting the conglomeration of foresaken words
	foxed by (un)bound faith,
          berarted by depraved independence…..

i was apt to imagine,
         the emblem of affable federalism
interfering the transmission from the scriptures,

		The (--(SCRIPT)--)

Don’t shower any light on me
For i am afraid,
	If i can make any pretence at eating;
You stony eyes; don’t gaze at me
i won’t be moved by your stagnant glare.

Six days ago,
it had rained heavily
		-A Divine Rain.
And now,
Though the clouds of darkness
  encompass the darkness,
there may not be a rain today
and sweat may again adhere to my body
pleading for its liberation from self.

Even with the door left ajar,
i will not enter the garden
		experiencing severe drought
As i know for sure,
there are only a few white chessmen left
       on the chess-board
   spread across the cryptic sky.
The reverberations of enchanted hymns
             dissolve in my ears,
           plugging my veering mind,
drawing the thin atmosphere into nullity.

But…
For how long will I lie this frigid bed
                 obsessed with wounds,
                     resisting the warmth,
in the air of sustained captivity!?

I should arise now….
   I must arise now
        with my black apparels on
to see the Reverend old man guarding the pious fire
And I’ll make sure
       my maid doesn’t wipe out
the blood-stains clung to the floor
For,
I’ve to come again to smoothen the wrinkled bed
          and to depart,
                        forever….

Holden Looks Back

It happens when you’re debilitated, laid-up, sick;
random images, memories
coalesce within the unoccupied reason of your mind.

Maybe you have a memory, standing on a hill, chilled,
watching the final high school football game of the season.
Maybe you are a fictional character writing about mixed emotions:
your youth transcending societal doubt.
You could be a real person
fictionalizing a pubescent experience
upon a million future pages
describing insecurity at a time of social transition.

Agerstown Pennsylvania wasn’t a bad place to live,
but Pencey was a haven of unforgiving classmates.
Absent mindedness was no excuse
and a lack of self-discipline was grounds for expulsion.
The History instructor was an engaging and affable fellow,
like instructors are.
He was concerned about you,
that instructor that spoke with you
and was aware of the student unable to apply his self
in the presence of teenage shenanigans and impulsive drama.
It seems you were a victim
or a misapprehension of circumstance.

The lack of women at Pencey Prep School was obvious.
The slovenly plain and fidgeting daughter of the headmaster drew your eye.
A growing libido and an ailing fantasy life is no way to grow up.
And while such things make for an interesting read,
they are thin of poetry, romance, and sexual deeds.

Upon the hill pondering flashes of memory,
physical youth seems pleasurable compared to a bleak, unknowable future.
Some good-byes are worth waiting for, some are not.
We always seem to remember bad good-byes.
It is remembering what could-have-been
that keeps us recounting such random and undesired images.

Premium Member Asea

Affable windswept seas,
     Awaken distant dreams
     Affirming lost desires.
     Agog with passion's will,
     Awaiting windward hope.
     Away on bounding crests,
     Alive to trim such sails.

The Fox

You might see me in the back streets
By the light of the full moon
With my look refined and cunning
I will almost make you swoon
Don't treat me as an enemy
Or fear me as a foe
Don't use evil words against me
I'm a well-bred soul, you know
I'm a smooth, suave, refined old chap
A four-legged paradox
Oblige me for a moment, please
- I'm an urbane urban fox

You've seen me on my rounds
But I'm not heading for your bins
No - you're far too quick to judge me
Though, I confess - I have my sins
One must eat to live, of course
I'll not claim to be benign
But I am a gracious, civil guest
Where're I choose to dine
The hen house holds a great appeal
And I know how to pick the locks
I do that with true style though
I'm an urbane urban fox

My poise and affable demeanour
Give me access to any Mayfair club
I'm a cut above the rural fox
Who seems happy with his "pub"
I'm not one to judge, of course
I'm far too cool for that
But jeans and a checked shirt?
No! I choose a jacket and cravat
No pints for me - it's G & T
Or Martini on the rocks
Oh yes, darling, I really am
An urban urbane fox

I can capture your attention
With my wit and sharp brown eyes
I'm keen to make a business deal
Should my nose smell enterprise
My fur is sleek, groomed and neat
My tail swishes to impress
My paw is keen to shake your hand
When I'm ready to invest
I truly never miss a trick
When opportunity knocks
I'm cordially yours
I'm an urbane urban fox

I enjoy reading high-brow lit
Classical music was written for me
Opera sets my spine a-tingle
So does ballet, naturally
I go shootin' with my country pals
As for skiing - I'd rather not
I find dancing is a pleasure though
I love the Charleston and Fox Trot
But don't class me as a Liberal
I am rather orthodox
Let's steer clear of politics
I'm an urbane urban fox

I'm polished. Well-mannered. Chic.
Rich beyond compare
Elegant and gallant
And oh, so debonair
But yes, I walk the city streets
In the hours before the dawn
There's something about the smell, you see
To which I'm somehow, strangely drawn
Don't judge me for that, please I'm just
A four-legged paradox
I thank you for your time
- With love. Your urban urbane fox

She: An Emotion

She, as an emotion
Of all my states of mind
Comes out, when I talk to her, or,
when I feel her more than a good friend

She, as an emotion
Of all my stress and strain
Haunts me every now and then,
When I know that I am not in her brain.

She, as an emotion
Of all my motions of life
Runs parallely on the way I run,
When I break down somewhere in life.

She, as an emotion
Of all my disturbed thoughts
Disturbs me from to think ahead,
When I don't listen her voice or notes.

She, as an emotion
Of all my joys and mighty
Pops into my hearts completely,
When I take her in as my ever affable satiety

A Melliferous Guru

Her eyes have oceans to say,
Her smile is a nourishment for the beholder,
Her talks are the sermons from the scriptures ,
Her gait is simple and gentle,
Her presence is like a mother full of motherly affection,
Her thoughts are like newly bloomed rose fresh and beautiful.
Her love for traditions is ineffable, for she is a lover of simplicity,
Her nature is like the nature always forgiving and invigorating,
She is a master psychologist ,having a deep insight into human psychology.
Love of GOD and nature is innate in her,
Her face defines solace and bliss ,
For she is my affable and amiable teacher,
 My Guru.

Gods Devils

Between the devil and the deep blue sea
I find my god sitting straight on a scree
He wears an affable smile
Looks at the emerald isle
"Give the devil his due in you and me"

And the devil springs from his busty seat
The black cloud howls growls with the fall of sleet
Hedgerows under goolie nose
reads out from a runny prose
"Give the god his due in rye rice and wheat"

Allusion To the Bible

The affable persevere against the unruly
They raise mighty hands to calm the wild
The irrepressible do right in their own eyes
They brutalize

The small and innocent child,
He did not a thing wrong,
Taken from his mom;
Killed and criticized.

Wicked Cahoots

When he made
his first personal appearance
in the dirty alley
on someone else's rusty bike,
screaming along
in a cloud of dust
it rendered us all
speechless and motionless.
But I was amazed
that despite his grey-faced surliness,
he was very affable with us...
the bully with a naive
and sentimental heart.
He was so happy
to hear that I liked his dad
or that my mum liked him
and he was welcome
to come to tea
with us at five twenty five...
Our "adventures" were spectacular:
chasing after other bikesters,
screaming at the top
of our lungs
into blocks of flats
and then running
as our echoed waves of terror
blended with incoherent threats...
"I'll call the Police, I'll..."
Wicked cahoots.

("Wicked Cahoots" and "The Woodville Hall Soul Boys" stem from stories written in the late 1970s; while they first saw the light of day in versified form in 2006.)

Agree To Disagree

When the argument becomes personal
things are said that do not apply to all.
Speakers’ moods are no longer affable.
There is silence among people. They stall.

Do not speak of absolute politics.
Do not speak of absolute religion.
Change the subject, avoid theatrics.
Discussing sports is a wise decision.

Speak of the devil, here is our subject.
Change social cues like changing names.
Better to be relative than object.
Such are patterns in language games.

Communication can be difficult
if agreement must be its end result.
