Belittled Poems | Examples

I’d Be Bored Too Wouldn’t You?

The rich and their money,
the rich and their caviar.

The rich and their parties,
the rich and their friends.

The rich and their polo shirts,
the rich and their tennis
matches.

The rich and their trust funds,
the rich and their mansions.

The rich and their cars,
the rich and their speedboats.

The rich and their engagements,
the rich and their affairs.

The rich and their absolutes,
the rich and their lack of
commitment.

The rich and their art shows—
their art shows I attend.

It all makes me understand,
all the more clearly, why the Dazais
of the world drown, and the Sylvias
hang.

The noble will never
understand the belittled, or what
they find to be so beautiful.

And the belittled will only
understand the nobles after
they have all drowned.

Premium Memberwoman attempts to control her daughter

If you are disobedient, I will disinherit you.
This was said in a mean way with a snotty face.
the young woman felt sorry for her mother.
her mother's attempts to control her belittled her.
I love you Mom, she told her, but not your ways.
She resolved to never raise her children like her mother.
She raised them far away, and they had no contact with the woman.
No idea that their mother had a mother.

Suicidal

Suicidal

Ohh little one
The world knew not for you let no one,
Not to find out, but kept your woes.
Your thoughts became your biggest foes.

You belittled yourself if not fitted.
Where is your voice hidden?
That all at once you just quitted,
The life so good one would be smitten.

You woke the alarms of death,
And broke the hearts of your dear ones.
Who would have gone depths,
For life without you I loathe.

Sassy soothsayer’s sorcery vexed the man
He belittled it as only envy and jealousy can
The rest of the village recognized his usual hit tune
He is the kind of devil who hounds at a harvest moon

A Baby Daffodil

A little baby dear Daffodil
Teasing me with her fiddle
Robbing my heart, in my mind
Dancing free, an angel find!

Beneath the way, I belittled shackles
Closing near her, fingers crackles
Alas! A bee, a wilful warrior
Driven me back, a startling barrier.

"Around a month, about an aeon
Waiting for this bud to be born
Away you go, alone that way
The flower is mine, let us play."

Wush! A wind flush my foe
Swirling like a cotton fro
"The flower is mine, away you bee
Longing for the fragrance flee."

While we three, averred free
Behind the tree, the daffodil plea
"Let the wind cuddle my fragrance
And you bee, taste my joyance."

And then the beauty gone with me
Back to home, we walked in glee
Heavenly souls, leaves their virtue
In their kindness, we hold life true.

Your Words

Down and belittled
I feel judging eyes surrounds me
They are heavy
Pressure keeps me so down
My eyes grew weary
They were soaked in tears all night
I can't sleep
I can hear them laughing so loud
I can't look at them
and I'm getting tired of facing down
I turned to heaven and then remembered
There's someone up there who created them
I called your name in time of distress
Your words gave me peace and the strength
I feel so strong that I'm able to see you
I know you'll walk with me
even in the valley of the shadow of death
you are the love that embraces me
makes me strong when I'm enfeebled
thank to Jehova's words, the Bible

Backfire

A upholder strong, bold, and courageous
Belittled and trivialized
Accepting truth; she's bon a fide
Speaking up for self became contagious.

Reignite - Promethea

The slowly imploding borders of an ancient empire,
lights flickering in a vast array of circuitry,
a battered starship adrift in the inky void-

our Church.

Yet, though the titaness is harried, old, and worn down,
shrinking, ridiculed, belittled, and cursed,

She is still strong...

A network of vast potential, seemingly obsolete and crumbling,
could bloom again with the radiance
of a thousand suns.

Break the yoke of lethargy.
Dust off the great gears.
Blow a spark back into her heart-

and shall we not soon see a great white flame
roiling out of the darkness
as the sullied bride
bathes once again
in holy fire!

migrant life

Quote: “Refugees didn’t just escape a place. They had to escape a thousand memories until they’d put enough time and distance between them and their misery to wake to a better day.” - Nadia Hashimi

Make-Shift tents for lives shifted
existence, I never dreamt
belittled with no future
I stare at rustling
blank white shelter
I I I I I I I I I I I I I
coming in search of
quiet sky, hurried from
noisy land, I can hear
even distant blowing winds of sea
Shooed away, I forgot dignity.Yet
I smile when cared by some,
I make urns that fill ashes,
art perfected by much
work, daily orders . I
think while working
how to tell my kids?
should I try to teach
alphabets, numbers,
rhymes? What for?
or should I make
them learn maps
to locate where
we are, or should
I tell that we are
news to all?
unknowingly,
I make sure, they learn to make urns
If they survive they need some skills
To live by, and never to meet one’s eyes

Premium Memberwhat is that smell

I climbed up to a limb and sat under a pretty purple owl.
“What is that smell?” He asked his wife. “Smells kind of foul.”
I had never been ostracized or belittled by an owl before.
I decided to jump down and run off with my dog, Seymour.

I need

As I stood for the fallen in the reign of the defeated
Collapsed was the pillar that held up what we needed
Cause the limit of the endless is measured
And the hold on the boundless is tethered
I witness the difference and it's all the same
I watch the wild as it becomes tame
Ive held what I missed
And reject what I kissed
Seemingly the obvious is more riddled
And the blatant will answer to the belittled
I witness the blind
As we lossed what they find
To end time on time
and hope there is no sign
Throw away what you need
Consume what you bleed
See how deep you can bury the freed.

Premium MemberShe Had a Knack

She escaped with her life, but barely.
He had been determined to take her light.
Her self-confidence had been eroded to a tiny piddle.

The first thing he had done was eliminate her family
And her friends, her bobbies, anything she loved.
She wondered now what had happened to her cat

He had belittled her, made fun of her choices, put her down
It had been a real struggle getting up from her crawling position
Church was something he allowed her to “try”
As long as she did not include him

He thought it was harmless, figured it would be a good way to control her
His father had used Bible verses to control his mother.
She had found other things in that church.
She loved singing, others built her back up

With their help she had made her escape
She was now living in a pink shabby chic trailer
Out in the woods, next to people who protected her
From the likes of him

The trouble is, she might do it again.
She had a knack for finding abusive sociopaths.
He had been her third one.

Premium MemberThe Lie

My Heart was crushed, the pain was real
I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t heal
felt so powerless, belittled and small
my world was dark, he made me fall
the lies he told, could not be undone
I wanted to die, of course he had won
each day a struggle, I felt so blue
each day he gloated, the more I withdrew
I hated the monster, he took my soul
twenty years on, I’m still not whole
but at least I can breathe and hold my head high
for I told the truth and he told the Lie.

Pure Spirit

You shattered my spirit
and wounded the heart
belittled my reason to be.
Did you think it diverts attention from Ghoul
who is hiding in your hideous soul?

But little you know about pure spirit,
that cannot be extinguished.
It’s still alive, glows under ruins of my soul,
it will not be vanquished.

No doubt I will rise again,
this will reveal the truth.
That free spirit then,
will heal, will mend, will soothe.
