Restlessness, impulsiveness,
loquaciousness, compulsiveness,
distracted inattentiveness
and tangent railway tracks.
Complexities, anxieties
and dopamine deficiencies.
Instant gratification please,
relief for my synapse.
Procrastination, wired sensation,
biochemical frustration,
forget to take my medication.
Frontal lobe relapse.
Rapid heartbeat, fidgety feet,
hypervigilant, unable to sleep,
central nervous system freak.
Neurological cracks.
Haphazard chaos became the norm.
Attention Deficit Disorder brought the storm
Throw in a little hyperactivity and boys.
Rip roaring commotion and a disarray of toys.
Every action challenged serenity.
Drama pierced peaceful woodlands rowdily.
Never did their pain elicit such hatred.
Every shout was hurtful, unthinking, and mean.
Vulnerability increased; love lost its sheen.
Endless name-calling wrought two boy’s punches.
Respectable young brothers forgot to love.
Family split asunder by parental blunder.
Excruciating pain filled their children’s brain.
Love was offered; rejection brought hate.
The children cried; victims of the state.
Social services skillfully dismantled parental bonds.
Ordering a gambit of activities; family love absconds.
Guilty or not, it did not matter; love was marked.
Opportunity to hate had opened every door.
Ordinarily, the boys had been happy and respectful.
Dismantled; hatred never felt so good.

Medical Conditions of Cartoon Characters
By Elton Camp
Barbie and Ken look just right
Cartoon characters are no delight
There is old Porky Pig, if you please
Obviously he has Parkinson’s disease
And just as soon as you see her
You know Olive Oyl has anorexia
Attention deficit disorder has Daffy Duck
Unless he’s treated, he’ll be out of luck
Elephantiasis afflicts sailor Popeye
His arms and legs you can tell it by
Pepe LePew suffers from sexual addiction
Of that fact, there can be no contradiction
Then there’s Sylvester the black & white cat
A severe lisp surely makes him talk like that
There are others who’ll doubtless come to mind
Whose bad medical problems it isn’t hard to find
