These creatures begin life as tadpoles in a lake.
What a radical change in morphology they take!
They lose their tails, and grow rather long legs.
Age makes a big difference from fertilized eggs.
They usually come out with the vanishing of the sunlight.
Do you hear their croaking sounds at night?
These amphibian vertebrates are known as an “anuran”.
Frogs have existed on the earth longer than man.

Uttered the Ranid in agony extreme
Embedded halfway within the vermin.
“ Shan’t we settle this in an amicable fashion?
Couldn’t you muse over my deepest notion?
Letting you with rising esteem into my domain
To feed on the apples of culture in bargain?”
Silence,
Awesome !
And then
A well meditated peristalsis.
“ Hang on.”
Let out wails like breaking vials
Little vibrant anuran panicking pale.
“merciful; be civil with me and kids
Who always stood by you in bids
Guarding your plights as if ours
Not your pride be hurt any hours.
Lawful and loyal and truthful the most,
Friendly and kindly, to thee and kin
Were we always, are we still, and will be
Not thee indulge in pacts like these
Think on ........”
Hissing,
Fierce and venomous.
Again the peristalsis planned
And on...on...on... on end.
Fall to the fathomless .
Enlightenment to the frog, but fatally late-
Gastric juice burns, blinds;
Inflicting numbness, inducing sleep;
Journey to nothingness....
And the serpent relaxed
Stretched its greenly long self in rest.
Mission accomplished,
Linger until the next.
