Annette Kellerman is famous for an event that may have never happened
There is no record of it, but the story is good
She is famous for wearing a one-piece bathing suit in 1907
Nineteen and assertive, she pooh-poohed the dress-pantaloons of the time
Many were outraged,
but this was the beginning of the end of the cumbersome suits
She paved the way for women to wear “Annette Kellermans”
as the one-piece suits were called.
There was a wide rumor that she had been arrested for wearing a one-piece.
Research has provided no basis for this rumor.
Annette was progressive.
In 1919 she was the first women to appear fully nude in a movie.
It was called A Daughter of the Gods

She was a professional swimmer, an actress and a writer.
Doing her Australian heritage proud.
Annette Funicello started out as a Disney Mouseketeer
We kids loved her totally, she was everything we wanted.
Starring in Babes in Toyland made her even more popular.
I was nine when her Hawaiian paper dolls came out.
Man, there was nothing better than that.
Until she began starring in beach movies with Frankie Avalon.
In Remembrance of Annette Funicello

There were only two TV channels we could get
Still, I sat in front of the black and white set
The Mickey Mouse Club was my favorite show
But Annette’s is the only name I recall, though
She and others sang the program’s theme song
Sort of made me feel like, with them I belong
Although they were cool kids I was just a nerd
I was glad whenever the Mouseketeers I heard
The beach movies she later made I didn’t see
It was too far to town for a rural hick like me
That she had a serious disease I already knew
Yet, I didn’t like that Annette’s life is through
But it’s merciful that her suffering is at an end
It’s in honor to her, that this little write I send
Annette Funicello sang so mellow
Charming many a good fellow
And then would smile
With so much style
They'd all want to kiss her "Hello!"
You're going on a journey
through the most of turbulent seas,
you're longing for calm waters,
you're wanting pain at ease.
The storm feels so foreboding,
you may think this fights your own
but your family sails beside you,
so don't ever feel alone.
For every cloud that lingers
and the darkness in it's fall,
God will bring again the sunshine
and lead you safely back to shore.

N is for no that’s what I say.
E is for everyone that gets in my way.
T is for trouble that’s where I've been.
T is for time that’s what im in.
E is for everything that I meet.
D is for danger that I beat.
E is for evil that’s what I see.
L is for the lies that you told me.
I is for the ice cream that I ate.
L is for the lives that I hate.
A is for the asking that ive done.
H is for the heart cause I have none.
M is for the moon that looks so free.
E is for everything that’s inside me.
D is for danger that ive met.
I is for involvements that I cant forget.
N is for never cause I will never quite.
A is for the answers that I never get.
