Woke up this morning to dirty dishes and fly’s in the kitchen.  It was raining outside.  Raining hammers and nails.  I heard the baby crying but it didn’t mean anything to me.  I was lost in a dream a fantasy.  I was playing my guitar and dreaming of being free.

Ten young lives from that day were with us no more
Flying a B17 bomber plane
A ten-man crew “Mi Amigo” her name
Returning from a raid over Denmark
Badly damaged and struggling back to her mark
Her radio dead and engine misfiring
The skin in tatters

Im stillen Kornfeld dort,
wo sie verborgen lag,
des Schnitters Sense,
da liegt jetzt sein Grab.
