Vaporous Rhymes

Vaporous Rhymes
Nightfall unbalanced
Dance around a ceremony fire
Thorns cursed vaporous
Body dieth slumber
Death-note written
Alacrity descends
Consciousness unbound
Screams below halted no sound
Graves unsettling
Life soon ending
Bomb fires burning
Sacrifices, unforgiving
Buried with the dead
Emptiness is limitless
Rendered to the darkness
Sins unhinged
Tormented below
Name erased from the books

At the risk of coming off turgid
I offer this tale esoteric
Hoping it’s not found insipid
Nor causes one to be apoplectic
But rather received with alacrity
Without the need for paroxysm
My word there’ll be no chicanery
And avoidance of anachronism
Far from being sesquipedalian
Nor need for any razzmatazz
The tale of the slubberdegullion
Who thought himself full with pizzazz
Though being so supercilious
His affect stirred only dudgeon
Any good was so very fugacious
From this untoward tatterdemalion
Yet still he persisted a mumpsimus
If you will, and worse a panjandrum
So aggravating and rumbustious
Redeeming qualities not a modicum
An unquestioned snollygoster
Given to being quite vagary
An ill-reputed hugger-mugger
And a voice of such cacophony
But I see that you are insouciant
And consider my warning malarkey
Since you wish to be recalcitrant
My apologies for being persnickety
I end my tale of the rapscallion
Without further ado or rigmarole
Avoiding becoming ultracrepidarian
I have met my supererogatory parole

Heaven

Heaven
By Michelle Morris
13/08/2022

What heaven is this silence
Such solace from the world
No one's energy clouding
Everything that I behold

And all that I sense and feel
Is such beauty in its clarity
Loving all these moments
With such wonderful alacrity

What heaven on this Earth
What joy and happiness
I can feel the angelic tingles
Of my soul living its best

And all that I know and love
Is with me in this time
Linked by our silver threads
And our soul connections divine

Whoever Is Alert

Whoever is alert
Seeks to some point assert.
Your thoughts need not round cruise
Or a search start for clues...

He's a security,
Safety—Priority,
For prized alacrity,
Help to authority,
Eyes on obscurity;
Life has no parity:

Whoever is alert
Can fat danger avert,
Swoop on a crazed pervert,
To The Right him revert;
Prowlers picking their names,
Crooks beating in their games
On even days gone grey,
Lens swinging either way...

Though the worst still emerge
And us ready for dirge!

Everything Fades

Salubrious salutations, new age
gradually old made voyage,
Living was perfunctory and now it’s stale,
Can the memory sway?

You yelled but no one heard,
Maybe tide was chatty with time
and now you are here, no quarter to hide;
Speed of time is high then it flies.

Many have come and gone but, all is saved to the core,
Not by alacrity that one lives, but by the almighty;
In the earliest times, the past began,
lessons taught through the odds.

Yesteryears were better, but not for the years after;
Hay have made its way today; can the sun shine then?
Old was new so is new; what is anew?
You kept your call, known was it,
step by step, the old fumbled in whole pit.

There is “do” so is “redo,” make your staying perpetuate gusto;
Everything has two sides: old and new, far and near, cry and laugh,
good and bad, greeting and farewell;
That which is good is sweet, and that which is sour is bad.

If moments leave scars,
will your past glitter?
As you stay, do ring the grotesque bell;
Your days shall be well.

City

I went to a city,
With many alacrity,
Some with anxiety,
Some with curosity.

I learnt a lot,
With a slot,
I planted a pot
And put a dot.

A FRIEND KNOWS
 DEDICALTED: TO CHANTELLE COOKE

A friend knows what you need
Like a bird with omniscient seeds.
She is your sun and moon
       With a heart shaped spoon.

So happy to fill any need,
Yes and will do it today with speed.
      With alacrity and a smile,
A friend goes miles and miles!

She does not walk out of your life,
      Like a forgetful wife!
A true friend is not a sometimes thing.
She makes your heart just sing!

Love

Everybody talks about love

People glorify love with attributes
They say love is this , love is that
We all hide the truth!!

Love is always like the body lying in state
Nobody wants to further soil the clay

Love is selfish
And that selfish love is what we all crave
We want others hurt to feel loved by that fave

We say love is beautiful

And nobody wants to admit love is wicked
But that wicked love is what we so desire
We sometimes kill if that's what our hearts require

We say love is Trustworthy

But love is deceitful
And that deceitful love is what we hold on to with alacrity
We all spew and consume lies for emotions' security

Love is flawed
Love is rogue

But Hey,
Love shouldn't be perfect , it just needs guidance
Love's priority must focus on humanity
Commitment of Love to humanity takes care of its (love) excesses

love is us!!!

Premium MemberThe Figment of Utopia

Utopia: an imagined place or state of things in which everything is perfect.
          ~Oxford Languages

Achieving Utopia is not possible,
It exists outside the realm of Reality.
Reality is the great unstoppable,
In the end there is no amnesty.
No matter how strong the fantasy
Death holds the ultimate captaincy
To the end of our life's journey.
Utopia is a figment that ends with alacrity.
The end is inescapable, coming to us swiftly,
Without exaggeration, in the blink of an eye.

Space for others?
Need no mothers.

The Single Born

The single born,is like cowslip
Blooming freshly
In a winter-garden
Potent and virile aside
Waiting for watering can
To water it and avail coolly.

The single born,fled rivals away
Boon blithely in a bullion
Just as the only Navel in the quarter
Buffet his ticks stilted
Wailers remains silence
Instead of I from galore.

The single born, you're parent's gaze
Tried of them to see you smile,
Alacrity!
Always stuck you onto orthostatic
Loudly "you are vile,
Pal of shadows men and boys,

Winter -man...
The giant Astro;
Who twinkles on everyone's ego
Different that of throngs"
The single born, you're mild,
And fresh cinnamon.

Premium MemberThe Garden of Hope

The last place to find what you want!!
The Garden of Action is where you must hunt.
Hoping is not powerful, and it's made for runts.
You will discover nothing at all brilliant.

In the Garden of Action is your strongest steed.
Planting your seeds for your goals you must do.
Nobody is coming to do it for you.
You need purpose, alacrity and lightning speed.

Those poets in contests here, write to win!
They are not drinking lemonade, living in the wishing glade.
They planted their entries, with their pens as a spade.
They live in production and give us shining inspiration.!

My Ability In Activity

My alacrity in activity,
Keeps me hectic during productivity;
Acuity instructs me to produce prolific periodically.
Heuristic and ingenuity guide me to invent novelty,
And to show a seraphic smile, is my priority.

My vitality in activity,
Directs me to invest virtuosity as to attain beyond quality;
Clarity rules me to output gigantic quantity with regularity.
Charity in my civility is the gift to exist in perpetuity,
And being pacific, is my duty.
