Now my tendrilled soul,
Has found its pergola-- Christ--
To wind its way up....

My own piece of heaven, a quiet little nook,
With only the finest parchment in a leather book,
A feather quill pen and an ocean of ink,
My thoughts would never stop to think,
Every single line I write would rhyme,
My poetry would be beautiful and sublime,
I'd be entertained daily, by Dr. Seuss,
And, put to sleep nightly, by Mother Goose,
Lessons from Byron, Shelley, Coleridge and Poe,
Teaching me every single thing that they know.

My own piece of heaven, will have to wait,
Until one day, when I must meet my fate,
So, for now I will have to be content,
With my own words that may be heaven sent,
Inspiration from my idols is all I need,
Writing poetry in a notebook from Mead,
With this cheap, plastic Bic pen,
And a dream to be, just like them.

He paints my world with words and phrases
meant to stir emotions, deep.
Tales of intrigue that amazes,
into my soul his stories seep.

Meant to stir emotions deep,
the tales he tells cast a spell.
Into my soul his stories seep
taking me to heaven or hell.

The tales he tells cast a spell,
leaving me waiting on every line.
Taking me to heaven or hell
as if each story were only mine.

Leaving me waiting on every line,
tales of intrigue that amazes.
As if each story were only mine
he paints my world with words and phrases.

Beneath a shroud in mystery
was built a monument sublime,
where flowed a river endlessly,
her flow kissed the periphery,
ignored the grasp of time.

So great the span of her intent
she circled mound and battlement,
where roses sprang in every glorious hue,
and other vibrant flowers showed their worth,
as ancient trees spired mightily in view,
and full proclaimed the grandeur of the earth.

Behold the caves where lovers kept their tryst,
close hidden where the mountain swooped and shaded,
well guarded by the shadows and the mist,
a devil's place where dissidents and traitors kissed
in heated passion, and their love degraded.
Within the gloom a roiling and a bursting,
a waterspout came thrusting, thunder blasting,
and spat huge molten rocks like tiny pebbles,
the torrent coursing down, not merely dribbles,
the raging maelstrom flinging high and over,
revealed beneath the streaming sacred river.
She ran through dale and covert full continuous,
a journey never ending, until she reached the sea.
And then was heard a cry, a call to arms,
that neither bliss nor solitude becalms.

Yet music from the edifice and caves
o'ercame the sound of warring and of strife,
reverberations and the crashing of the waves
a mighty symphony in tune with all of life.
the sun-bleached monument regaled in gold,
the savage caves, calamitous and cold.

A dream of perfect grace I once beheld,
a lady with a voice as clear as spring,
a vision of my destiny
she sang of sweet eternity,
such joyful notes didst bring!

Would that I might recover
the beauty of her song,
the passion of a secret lover,
I might labor hard and long
to recreate this sacrament,
its sunny climes, its frozen spa,
a two-edged sword its testament,
a blessing and a curse both spent,
to dwell within that twin entombment,
a two-tongued threat beneath Abora.
For whosoever breaks these grounds,
and recreates conflicting sounds,
has tasted direst dark and Shangri-la!

"I Do Believe"

The purpose of LIFE is to {Living In Faith Ever}
to enrich God within us
to an optimum level
so that We as Humans
can be guided by God
to fuel out brothers and sisters
with the same driving force
to connect with the living God,
to His existence and
to See the Invisible,
Believe the Incredible, and
to Receive the Impossible
to our everlasting journey
to Heaven.

Just taking time to enjoy it.
Life is a car speeding fast,
But it's better to be stuck in traffic.

I am writing a letter, to heaven today.
There are a few things, that I'd like to say.

My heart has been broken, since you went away.
I yearn for the days ,that we used to play.

I can't feel the sunshine, it's cloudy and gray.
I just don't know what, you want me to say.

I'll always remember ,on that fateful day,
When God called from heaven, and you went away.

So I'm writing this letter, to heaven today.
There's just a few things, that I'd like to say.

'Til I hear God calling, each day I will pray.
That we'll be together, in heaven some day.

Mourn my loss of innocence; the Queen of
Love, and I her prince. Dance, we dance, all
the way to Heaven- born of grief, and the
things I have written...And dare I ask, or
merely inquire, on who doth Love me, and who
is a liar? Just say my name, old curse of
shame, cloaked in dark, and murky colors
No skies to fly, no seas to sail, no land on
which to keep my Lovers
All too silent, this lonely night;
No choice to choose, no grounds to fight
These pleading words, and Fools in herds-
marching to the Ends of the Earth
People I loath, and you were told: I do wish
Eve hadn't given birth...

Am I the only one who's feeling there is something very wrong with all of this ,
I can't seem to get anybody to listen not even when I raise my fist.
How can they not see what I see ,has everybody lost thier mind I say,
Why can't they see what it is that is making them act this way.
Have you taken a look around to see there's something that has changed,
When you look into peoples eyes Lord how you can see the rage.
No compassion for thier fellow man as if they have never ever cared,
For the future of mankind and how we all should be aware.
Saw a friend of mine the other day he was acting a little strange ,
I can't help but wonder just when , how , and who's the blame.
This power and greed is consuming us all we just can't seem to stop
Stepping on our brothers & sisters as we race to the top.
Where's the love ,the kindness ,the hope and faith we use to live by,
How we allowed ourselves to sink so low I' will never know why.
Still I will contunue to spread the word which has always been,
Be good and love one another as you are learning not to sin.
Please don't be another wreck that has been pushed to the side ,
If you' listen to the one and only word you will know why.
We will all band together so we can stand tall and free,
It is one simple word and that is love how could you nor see.

Danced Into Heaven On Feet So Very Fast

A man-child that shall not ever hear
echoes of future songs in his deaf ear
Yet joy he found one brightened day
as classical music he learned to play

Vibrations that taught him the beat
soon danced along with his quick feet
A taste in the rush of the air
revealed his music far more than fair

Soon fans paid him to dance and perform
this life he soon found to be his norm
Echoes of applause he never heard
yet praise came in such flattering words

Onward time took him to his desired goal
to hear the music clearly in his soul
That special day was to be his blessed last
as he danced into Heaven on feet so fast

They ride the good dragon-cloud towards warm light
While wistful wind was a wrongdoer on the hollow hill
Wrapped woven from the wounds and wrath`s night,
The wood will wear white woolly witness of the windmill.

Hoarfrost hitch-hikes and hoists with hoarse hood,
Drumming beat of hobble of the army`s fatal feet,
Far away from the glow-worms of their childhood;
Friends fumble the glassware where they might meet.

Falteringly frogs of fancy jump towards the lake’s glass;
Orphan souls sit on the steps of hope in winter`s time
They scrutinize the frozen sky of hope to find the rhyme
Of the verse from the other side they want to happily pass.

Imagine a king who has many
Servants staying at his palace
It would make no sense at all if those
Servants do not fulfill their purpose

Those servants were ordered to work
And to respect that king at all times
While the king gives them a place to stay
They should always make his palace shine

Any slave who does not work may
Eventually be kicked out soon
Any slave who works improperly
May likewise end up without a room

That king has a right to command
His slaves to sing lovely songs of him
To choose the number of times to wash
A staircase, because he is 'king'

That king has a right to command his
Slaves to do well to his family
To treat his close friends with respect
And welcome his guests cheerfully

To tell them not to touch this and that
To disallow them from certain rooms
To do what he commands them to do
As he is the owner who rules

So when Allah gives a command
A command that must be obeyed
You must obey Allah's Commandments
Or else you might get yourself astray

So if Allah commands you to pray
To Him, five prayers everyday
Don't ask 'why? ' Don't ask 'why five salahs? '
Just listen to God, and obey

God lets you walk on the earth He made
God gives you fresh air for you to breathe
God keeps the clouds above you floating
And gives you drink and food to eat

God gave you a brain with which to think
And still you ask 'why should you pray? '
We pray to Allah, the Mighty King
Who lets us live each night and day

When you're awake, when you're asleep
The air you breathe each night and day
What you inhale and what you exhale
Are some things from God which you don't pay

The ability to taste is a
Gift from God which many just ignore
Imagine if you could not taste the
Food you eat, eating would be a bore

You eat fruits and vegetables that God
Created, from plants that Allah made
You drink water which belongs to God
And yet you ask 'why must we pray? '

Sometimes I just like
to have fun with syllables
and call it haiku

Seventeen is big
number in my family
stuff happens that age

Epilepsy for
one, then there's eye surgery
two don't forget how

cutting is frowned on.
Some things you must avoid in
order to follow

rules. So go figure
punctuation is option
no matter who nots.

Sometimes I just like
to say what I think and get
feedback from kindreds.

Drunk in the lost city,
lost in the vase beauty of the angels
drunk, smoking on park benches.

Freaks, trannys, whores and pimps,
looking at me;
a one of a kind.

No one has ever seen me on the streets of L.A.,
beacause I am a one of a kind,
a gentleman, a drunken buffoon.

I hurl myself at the bars,
and the whores look at me and smile,
and I wave them over, and they come.

40 bucks for a night a good fun,
a night of exotic pleasure,
in the heart of the sleeping angels.

Drunk walking,
two in the morning,
police stop me, sleeping on a park bench.

Warm always warm,
never cold,
the city that is lost.

A city known as the city of angels,
yet how many devils I have counted.
How much evil I have seen,
how much temptation rules in the gutters.

Walking drunk on madness,
in this dirty city,
as I look for a bar before last call.

I find one,
I go in,
order a beer.

I drink with pleasure
I start to write,
I light a cigarette and smoke.

A grey cloud forms around me,
"Last call for alcohol," the barkeep shouts.
I raise my hand, he comes over.

"What will yah have?" he asks,
"Another beer and my check."
On the house, free drinks, on the house.

After a night in the city of angels,
I find myself a cosy park bench,
and fall asleep, dreaming of the angels I had never seen.

My heart I give to God.
For He is the reason I am here.
So, I will place my trust in him,
I will walk the path God wants me to.
I will love my Father, and all of our neighbors too.
Hoping to experience his warm embrace.
Until then, I'll keep my faith and march on.
For I know, he will be there in the end.
                  welcoming me back home,
                                    With opened arms.
                                               My heart, I
                                                  give to
                                                    God.

A Dark Identity

Days into nights... time without time
Normalities of everyday life beckons to remain
Shadows with lights.... to find to define
I am he who goes by without a name

The world is only up to date
And I’ve decided no more to follow
Bearing time to finally relate
Yet a self I’m to find to wallow

He who walks without an identity... walks alone
And he who walks alone needs be proud
Yet walking forever without finding a home
Have I that heaven beyond the clouds?

I cannot see either far or near
I cannot be to be neither nor
I’m listening... I cannot hear
I’m at peace... I’m at war

I did not know... am I suppose to?
I know I’m alive... is that enough?
Yet, rather not to know than knew
For knowledge shall never last

A mystery if not yet to be
That one mysterious hope to be searching for
I have dreams but what did I see?
I have no one... not one I can call

A darken need shall heed not words
For the dark shall rise as light
The fade will be a promise to be heard
For shadows are without night

And I started to listen distractedly
Hearing for what my eyes cannot see
A hallucinatory moment ever constantly
As I began to believe that of what cannot be

The instant my eyes close
My mind drew as suppose
Sketching a stand alone amid a world once seen
Of ranging fires to have had believed as a dream
And there I was... a lone figure enveloped in darkness
With crossing flames alight yet from a distance as useless
Left as I was before... I am to return as I am
Reliving once more this beginning with never the end
Thus did I continue my path away from the bloodshed
Carefully as one had hoped where a darker darkness be led
No more do I wonder what transported me here
To only know for certain I am riddled of constant fear

“Fear is a fire
To temper courage and resolve
Be it desire
To quench the thirst for one’s unfounded lost”

And there it was... words barely a whisper
Where it came from... no longer matters
For the intended vigor were already cast upon
Serving me with renewed purpose for a sense to belong
Before long, beyond doubts... my callings were clear
The source from where it first began was indeed here
Almost startled, I looked around knowing I’m blinded to see
Too dark as it was, had it not been a lighted green to be
And there it was... a single light beyond the almighty dark
That one greenish light to aid one’s lonesome heart
Rather peculiar for I haven’t notice it before
And naturally I am to walk towards the green grandeur
Flickering and wavy as I drew closer to my destination
Seeing finally for what appears to be the least of expectations
Astonishingly, it was a lantern where within was the sighted fire
And simply the fiery green alone ignites ever on in dire
Levitated in midair, it stands rigid with its haunting presence
With an aura more deserving then welcoming of essence
So mesmerized I was... I wanted to behold
That of warmth for perhaps deliverance from cold
A dare if not, if only, if I must
A flame to embrace, a curiosity to engulf
And surely... I lifted my hand with only a wanting touch
Surely but unknowingly... the flame itself is to parch
Sparkles of green eludes and transcends about
As well an aria, an ancient tune goes aloud
To only see to believe, perhaps my life to perceive
Yet the question being... what did I achieve?
Smoke arises... wavering, quivering, settling...
My time... misgiving, misguiding and misleading
And there he was... rather it be
A human?... isn’t to be I see

“A dark wanderer, perhaps a lone wanderer alone
Regardless... a stranger afar returning home
Have you the teachings bequeath upon you?
From a once being of a knight who knew
For he alone stands unnerve by another
Serving a purpose to hold true forever
The resemblance I see forth leaves me incertitude
Both as mortals... though only he remains in servitude
Yet... my appointment upon you is clear
I am to you drawn as you to me when you hear
Nevertheless, far too long were you of absence
And once more I am in honor to be in your presence
It never is clear what the heavens contrive
For this unsung war... humanities were birth to strive
Every one mortal given birth were forged for war
To ensure the survival of humanities and of peace to befall
For many years this bloodshed wages in dire
Almost as certainly, the spirits of men responsively tire
No more are there ideas nor hopes they are to see
Battling on for pure survival remains what leads them be
Your return however, will perhaps set the tides in our favor
Though I know not the intention, I do not disregard altogether
Do not let the reasons why you have returned cloud your mind
I ask of you rather to remember who you once were to define
The land of The Ancients is never a quest for truth to seek
Purely for good to triumph over evil is the only idea you will need
Prepare yourself well stranger, for good will always be in disguise
Treachery and deception as often will never in itself be a lie
The unforgiving way is still a long one I’m afraid
However well is Heaven to plan... evil as always will await
And until out time will once more cross between us
I assure you... your time in this world will outlast”

*A assignment was due in class. *

Every time a gun shoots
A tree looses its roots
Every time there is bloodshed
Along with it millions of tears are shed
Every time a heart is stabbed
Someone else’s life gets barren
As violence grows
Many more mothers moan
The sounds of destruction
Overpowers the voice of those
Who are innocent
Who suffer with no reason
Who beg for life
Who have heart full of innocence

Why do so much violence?
That the child’s cry cannot be heard
When his father is killed
Why do so much violence?
That a mother moans
Over her child’s dead remains
Why do so much violence
For winning any stupid battle
Which is taking lives
Of people who have wives
And mothers and children

When you can keep calm
Talk things out
Do whatever you can
To keep violence out
Because there is no sin as big as
VIOLENCE

To see cute faces
And their innocent sweet smiles
Wonderland it is

Angels to play with
To be playful is a must
Friendly is needed

Tell them how to show love
Singing, reading and counting
So thrilled when they laugh

It wasn’t my goal
But I’m inspired by pure souls
Teacher is I am

~~Above All You Loved, Heaven is Above~~

Man made in the image of God, pray man
Woman, a rib of man your love woman
Can your love plan every thought, if you can?
Humans can pray for the lives of humans

Prime vigor, your heart felt life in your prime
Compassion understands, sweet compassion
Time ends days, life is wanting every time
Passions warm affection, loving passions

Life is living right, do you live like life?
Pride's deadly sins; love was not ever pride
Strife disputes harmony; bitter is strife
Brides don't cry, you're a rare most lovely brides

Love your man it's his life; you are his love

Writing my prose,
unmeasured.
Sometimes I try poesy,
another pleasure.
Untrained. Unskilled.
But, what a joy!
to freedom,
my thoughts I find.
And so, as day by weeks
would turn into a lifetime, could be
the possibilities concocted by gods
may be.

I wonder what’s on that untraveled path
It looks detached from the human race
That mud-spattered trail has no footsteps
I wonder if it was ever taken by anyone
A shepherd and his sheep, a mule skinner perhaps
The shrubbery on this way are yearning for human touch
I stand at a distance to see where it takes
I stand to see this barren region and one dying lake
It leads to the mountain of fairies, people say
Then why we don’t ever go this way
It is cursed and so are the mountains, they say
I wonder what is more blessed and motherly than the mountains
I wonder who will first traverse this trail, and take away its pain
I wonder who will first leave a trace of footsteps on this secluded course
I've seen countless paths forsaken; countless forlorn roads

A God who is not a human
Not a soul or created thing
A God who always hears and sees
Yet we cannot hear or see Him

A God who tests us, hence we cannot
See Him, a God who never lies
A God without human weakness
-Not Born- A God who does not die

A God who made us with a purpose
To worship Him, worship Him alone
A God who wants us to be Muslims
And Heaven our Eternal Home

By worshiping only One God
And following God's Rules and Laws
Allah is He. God is Allah.
Allah: The God who has no flaws

Allah is not the God of Arabs
Not all Arabs believe in Him
Allah is the God of all of us
Who made everyone and everything

If you ask 'why the name Allah? '
I ask you, why's your name your name?
Imagine your teacher says 'I'm Jane'
If you disbelieve you could be 'lame'

She says, 'Class, I'm Jane; I'm your teacher'
You say, 'I don't want a teacher 'Jane''
Your teacher says, 'my name is Jane'
You say, 'Don't teach, unless your name is changed'

If one has done that, they have rebelled
They're arrogant; they want attention
If you're a troublesome student
Then all you get is detention

So if Allah says that He is God,
That Allah is God, and God Allah
Then believe in God, worship Allah
To avoid Hell and its boiling lava

Allah is One, the Only True God
Allah created you and I
Allah has no children nor wife
Allah needs no bodyguard nor spy

Allah is One, God is Just One
I said 'One God', not 'God in Three'
One God who rules the whole universe
'More than many gods'? How can that be?

If there were many gods as some claim
The whole world would be upside down
False gods would vie with one another
As kings would fight for the same crown

God has no son. God has no daughter.
God has no wife, God did not marry
God is too Powerful and Perfect
God does not weaken nor get lonely

God is Allah, Allah the True God
If you now believe, please testify
That there is no god but Allah
And God was never crucified

Once you have recognized Allah
Remember that Allah has Rules
Rules that must be followed by all
All of God's servants, including you

God commanded us to pray to Him
To Pray to Him each day and each night
To worship Him our Creator Allah
Is the reason why God gave us life

I looked into your eyes and knew we were meant to be, God brought our souls together forever, it's you and me. The Angels danced with joy our hearts are now as one, the love we feel for each other has only, just begun. Just for you, only my dear I'd walk a thousand miles, to feel our hearts, beat as one above us, God and Heaven smiled. Copyright © Cynthia Jones June.12/2009

A narrow path heading off into the woods
enticed me from familiar road, that afternoon.
A startled fawn dashed by me without sound,
the silence disturbed only by unknown bird’s sweet tune.

Why had I not noticed this lovely place before,
passing by it daily on my habitual jog?
I admired its natural beauty as carefully
I arranged my heavy jacket for seat by fallen log.

I opened virgin pages of my poetry notebook,
expecting inspiration to fill them to the brim.
I looked for the caroler whose notes had filled the air.
Other birds had gathered, singing along with him.

The air was still and warm. I could feel my eyelids droop,
and could hear the droning of a hundred thousand bees.
I laid my head upon the log, as soft as feather bed,
in perfection of the moment, I threw worries to the breeze.

Jerking suddenly awake, I saw the sun had dimmed.
It was much lower in the sky, for dinner I’d be late.
My family would be hungry and perhaps a little worried.
They knew it was unlike me to ever make them wait.

Much to my astonishment, my notebook had been filled,
while I could not remember writing a solitary line.
There were poems with pretty phrases and delightful metaphors.
I recognized not one of them, the writing wasn’t mine.

The next morning on my jog, I looked for the pretty place,
but simply couldn’t find it though I slowed my walk to see.
I have my well-filled notebook to prove that it was there,
the little bit of Heaven that was once revealed to me.

Beneath a shroud in mystery
was built a monument sublime,
where flowed a river endlessly,
her flow kissed the periphery,
ignored the grasp of time.

So great the span of her intent
she circled mound and battlement,
where roses sprang in every glorious hue,
and other vibrant flowers showed their worth,
as ancient trees spired mightily in view,
and full proclaimed the grandeur of the earth.

Behold the caves where lovers kept their tryst,
close hidden where the mountain swooped and shaded,
well guarded by the shadows and the mist,
a devil's place where dissidents and traitors kissed
in heated passion, and their love degraded.
Within the gloom a roiling and a bursting,
a waterspout came thrusting, thunder blasting,
and spat huge molten rocks like tiny pebbles,
the torrent coursing down, not merely dribbles,
the raging maelstrom flinging high and over,
revealed beneath the streaming sacred river.
She ran through dale and covert full continuous,
a journey never ending, until she reached the sea.
And then was heard a cry, a call to arms,
that neither bliss nor solitude becalms.

Yet music from the edifice and caves
o'ercame the sound of warring and of strife,
reverberations and the crashing of the waves
a mighty symphony in tune with all of life.
the sun-bleached monument regaled in gold,
the savage caves, calamitous and cold.

A dream of perfect grace I once beheld,
a lady with a voice as clear as spring,
a vision of my destiny
she sang of sweet eternity,
such joyful notes didst bring!

Would that I might recover
the beauty of her song,
the passion of a secret lover,
I might labour hard and long
to recreate this sacrament,
its sunny climes, its frozen spa,
a two-edged sword its testament,
a blessing and a curse both spent,
to dwell within that twin entombment,
a two-tongued threat beneath Abora.
For whosoever breaks these grounds,
and recreates conflicting sounds,
has tasted direst dark and Shangri-la!

There was a city of Babylon whom
King Belshazzar ruled...
Till that one night, when he became “fooled.”

“Eat drink and be merry.”
Was the motto of the day!
But God had something else, he wanted to say!

The finger of God reached down
And wrote on the wall!
The prophet of God told the king,
his kingdom would fall!

The king panicked and later that night…
His kingdom fell… Without a fight!

May this be a lesson and a warning to us today!
We need to listen to God!
And what he has to say!

Our country may “enjoy” it’s wickedness and sin!
But one day soon! It will
be coming to an end!

Won’t you allow the writing of God,
to touch your heart’s door?
It was for me and you, that our savior died for!

God loves you more, than you’ll ever know!
He came to earth to redeem your soul!
