Grave-side Service

weather-beaten sign
driven down in dying weeds
forsaken headstone...
oh nameless, forgotten soul
the Savior knows who you are

My Funeral

My Funeral

Escorting my corpse,
The funeral procession,
I cease to exist,
No more than a cinerary,
Lived whole life as immortal !

White Rose

it lies there alone,
one flower, on a coffin
that the flag once adorned
carrying  the soldier home,
brave hero, an only son.

White roses were strewn,
when the cortege was driven
through crowded  lined  streets,
a flowered road of goodbyes
written in the rose of hope

Dragged to Hell

I am exhausted
All these faces haunt my soul
No sleep comes to me
When I killed them they all cried
Now they watch me with those grins
I know I'll be dragged to hell

Today we Mourn, Tomorrow we Live

Graveside so quiet
Tear laden relatives mourn
Today, heavy hearts
Tomorrow, spirits will lift
Whilst the living remember

mourning... - tanka

heaven is heavy
with the tears of angels
shed for falling stars...
pain's knocking at heavens' gates
asking for its toll of salt...

loss - tanka

the sky is crying...
souls, climbing the rain's ladder,
try to find the sun...
grief sweeps slowly with its hand
the eyes of those who still are...

My ageing consternation

My ageing consternation

I fears death that spares
Me when I am very young
Won't it ache me when
I have no teeth to chew and
Have feeble arms, legs... to move?

My heart is fallen
And about to burst my hope.
When will this silent
Thief snatch my soul to the Lord
When need not to see more corpse?

Underneath the House

dragging feeble feet
a silent walk to death's grasp
beaten under house
the last sigh escapes her lungs
whiskers shrivel as years pass

Grieve, Mimosa tree

Grieve, mimosa tree

Silky pink petals, a wreath

Create canopy

Guard love one, at peace, beneath

Your presence shall ever haunt

Until you discontinue
