The Sun Is There to Rise

Door arrives door disappears
Door deprives door shares
Had doors been toward one way only
Life would have lost its lustre

With one hand life provides
With the other life robs us
Life sometimes brutally divides
Some other time it is Mother Teresa

When my doors closed several times
I wept but didn’t stop reading poems
My chromosomes of hope kept me supporting
Till a shaft of sunlight brought new doors

The deep green Neem tree in my dream garden
Went into a dizzyingly birdless gloom
Leaves and flowers brutally plundered
Roots torn asunder in my room

But again one day the spring sun stopped by
Clouds called at its door with shower
In the windswept branches came contentment
Now I hug it in a happy deep breath

We Welcome the Sun

We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun

A gleaming sunrise is seen in the distance – shedding relief
Bursting forth like fireworks in the dark blue sky
Hues of beauty and sincerity washes away our grief
The cheery clouds come together like lovers embracing one another

I’m never waving goodbye
It’s so surreal… and magnificent to see this scene unfold
You lift up the sparkling light… you’re an angel from up above
It’s so vibrant – the illuminated sight never dulled
You bring us luck and excitement –

You’re as pleasant as a dove

We welcome the sun
We welcome the love
We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun
To omit the darkness
To abolish the distress
To conceal the darkness
And reveal the halo
Hovering around your head
Burning away the dread
We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun

An ocean of love is rubbing against my feet
Blankets of comfort embrace me now… our love will never dry
You treat us with reverence and I repeat –
You’re as pleasant as a dove – taking wing from on high
We welcome the sun in the morning
We welcome the sun with open arms
We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun

A speedy breeze is whistling in my ears
Spiraling mad like a spinning top
Spiraling mad with all of its might
You’re very intriguing – you casted away our fears
Your gorgeous eyes
Project bright green and blue
You’re special in His sight
He welcomes you
We welcome the hope
We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun
To lighten up your load
And lead you to the mercy road
Where you and I will escape to paradise
To drive out all of the negativity
To conceal the wretched farewells
To reveal the light in goodbye

We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun
We welcome you
With open arms

The Lonely Army

When wind’s silence
heralds boundless oblivion
and the trembles of cracked earth
raise the dust of tears
dried by the boundless footfalls
of sallow flesh

When a thread of gold
brings unearthly thought
and the misconception
of suns fallen
drives foolish men to their knees
in unending tremors

An army of one
frees the air from his fingertips
and stays not his opal blade
as it bites the rotted gray necks
of kings released from their wrongful bliss
by his trembling palms

An army of one
unconstrained by nature’s volume
freed by the sin of his naivety
yet, bound by earth’s oldest secret
as the scarlet sun weeps
its bloodied tears

An army of one
his cloak worn through
by the acid blood of his deception
and his bones stilled;
the branches of a dying oak
which no longer caress the wind

She said baby I have to go,
I said girl you don't need to go,
Because baby I want you to stay,
'Til the sun rise,
'Til the end of the night,

I said baby I'm feelin you,
And I'm fallin in love with you,
Which is somethin I never thought I would do,
But, I did today,
So girl, Why don't you stay,

Why don't you stay, 4x
'Til the sun rise,
'Til the end of the night,

She said baby I have to leave,
I said girl I don't want you to leave,
My darling please stay with me,
'Til the night end,
Then come back again,

Because baby we have a chance,
For us to have a great romance,
So, girl take my hand and dance,
You don't have to go,
Baby don't go,
Chorus: 3x

'Til the sun rise,
'Til the end of the night,

Trip Twist

In the void, sipping the zoid,
with mental properties of tripping on the spiral.
Falling down the tail of lions, awkwardly spinning.
With upside down tunnel vision leaking through.

Solidifying all matter that matters,
melting into the walls of your brain.
It tickles all the raindrops dripping in your eyes,
satisfying your desire of a synchronized pattern.

Bleeding purple from the rainbow,
and turning into swirls of diamonds.
Slipping exuberantly beside you; driving you wild.
Where the shadows stop the spirited scream.

Devour yourself into the omniscient grip.
Icy cold finger tips scratch the surface of your divinity,
bringing you closer to the God who whispered in your unborn ear,
situated in your flesh from birth to death.

It embeds itself in the pupil of your eye,
dancing with your spirit and licking your soul.
Black shapes of madness wrapped in chaos and euphoria.
Twinkling and blinking dust of a cloud.

Haze filled skies and blood filled smoke raining from the clouds.
Envisions of clowns and demons laughing at our demise.
Chilling sensations of sickening mannerisms,
mechanisms and mechanics sought out to destroy the tiny creatures.

These creatures running crazy into acceptance of demise.
Deprived of life, scared of death but giving into it's taste.
Taste buds quiver as the taste grows sweeter.
Death, oh death, tell everyone who you really are...

Too long have you been hidden in the shadows you cast,
too long have we rendered your pain.
The world grows sicker as the hairs in my head grey.
I'll never surrender as demons always circle.

Today, begins a new day of our fight.
And I have a good feeling about this day.
Onward, we have united our minds and gathered ourselves within.
Always ready for we accept our fear.

We accept our hate and everything in between.
Accept it all for what it really is.
No amount of doubts will over throw us.
Onward, to peace.

Grey Bird

On that cloudy weekend in June
I hear a soft and graceful tune
from the grey bird on the tree
Singing sweet lullabies felt
blessed in the moment
My body tingles of joy at sight
Gazing out through
my open door,
Letting thoughts fly free
Releasing love out into the horizon
Heart filled with emotion came
over me
Grey bird stood playing its tune
for awhile and on the wings of
letting go
Then as the rain fell from the
sky the grey bird flew away
I blew a kiss to the clouds and
utterd these simple words of I
Love You father ( who's now in
heaven ) and yet I hope to hear
that grey bird sing again once
more for me
Farewell, love your son

I wonder why

Silent as a windows pane that upon
I perch my head.
As the rain pounds against the
Transparent wall, I cannot find
Any rest or peace. I wonder why
Oh dear Lord it continuously rains
Over me.
The sun always shines on some one
Else door step, Self-Woe only
Barricades my only exit/
I sit in my corner chained back
Wondering why no one will free
Me of this great big lie.
There’s a invisible thread that
Awaits me every morning I take
My first step. Like a wild animal
I fight what I cannot see yet its there
Keeping me from being free.
I wonder if I really tried to do better
This time in less you agree I am just
A loser someone who is just making it
Through life under others expense.
I took a chance went outside saw that
The rain wasn’t there, the sun in
Shining finally over my effort to be
Strong at no one else expense.

Loving touch

Your hands are like sunshine that

warms the inner parts of my soul.

The rays warming my inner being,

keeps me thinking of how the colors

of the flowers are so vibrant and

powerful in their activity.

As the flowers dance in a slight breeze,

the sun gives way to darkness and the night sky embraces the stars so numerous,

so shiny, so many.

As the night fades, the sun warms the day,

The breeze picks up the flowers in a dance, and your hands warm my soul again,

with the rays from the suns warmth and the shadows of the colors show the love inside your touch.

A Date

Rushing through lusty August towards
A vault of blue, a longing promise.
It is like waiting for the visiting moon,
The day when the silver light shimmies past
My bedroom curtains, and I will look up
And I will feel the burning of the heart.
Mist will pour down from the Sun
And the same mist will fall from my mouth.
I will no longer be in need and
It will all sliver pass me.

strangled destiny

Through the peep hole of Egyptian darkness shackled by conquerors hypnotic scheme
awaits the incarnate spirit of Ra.

Summoned to defend the skies of eternity and the land of death
against the traitors to the throne of the sun god
peace in these savage times shall be your curse.
may your conscience be your pillow
and your wretched hearts your lullaby
you and your puppet slaves will never tame this mane.

there is nothing your lassos can suppress
your skin of deception your pillars of lies and halls of betrayal
will fall to the hum of my dynastic roar
I am the truth the originator of galactic time
your presence was my flatulent secretion
your death will be my orgasmic sigh.

Women of gaze that by-stand my struggle
fan as you may your perfumed air
it is your heart my canines seek
your tongue has collapsed my rump
and stolen my corner stone
may your blood from my mandible spell

The 'End' of the Sun

A solar eclipse will be happening soon
And I'm taking a train up for ‘dark fall,’
Not often our sun is eclipsed by the moon,
Might it be, my drum’s beating restores light for all?

A primitive fantasy, barter in play,
I would die just to see earth's end sidelined,
Up creek without paddle (if night wins the day,)
But a killer of shadows will not be maligned.

Each person’s a hero who joins in this quest,
Who can say which one’s rhythms touched God’s ear?
You say, “We are safe, the world’s fate is at rest?”
It’s so easy to risk all you’ve ever held dear?

The one thing we know is that the end will come!
Hear our science and saints sing the same rhyme?
When day turned to night were our ancestors dumb?
Now both disciplines warn us “Of fire next time!”

To cherry-pick scriptures just serves prejudice,
Those who deprecate science should take heed,
And not to what pleases, but face cowardice,
For your salvation comes from God’s Grace, not your deed.

Hey, science is God’s gift, to help with life's fight,
Senses discipline, bless too to serve us,
Our leisure and work both need time in the light,
Life’s constraints too, a gift from God; death doesn’t fuss!

Poet’s Notes:
On August 21, 2017 I will travel with friends to Oregon to witness a solar eclipse. These are rare events and on average it will be 375 years before the people in a particular location on the current path will see another one, which gives you an idea of how rare they are. I am planning to take a home-made open face drum with me to join my ancestors in scaring evil away from the earth and consider it a rare chance to honor their attempts to understand a creation that both provides for life and takes it away at times.

eternal summer dream

an autumn songbird gives voice to the luxurious late day
beautiful its song caresses the ear
all natural world breathing as one with your heart
as the sun itself kisses you tenderly
as if saying farewell to you and the day
and as the sun slips to the horizon
you close your eyes and can feel heart take to wing
with the autumn songbird playful in the crisp air
feel your soul breath and soar among the clouds
floating in the warm breeze of
that eternal summer dream where
everyone is forever young and in love
forever happy and filled with wonder
the autumn songbird fills me with her song
fills me with the strength of possible beauty that the new day promises
fills me with the peace found at the heart of kindness
so will you join me
rejoicing her song
will you take a moment to breath in
the wonder of late autumn summery day

Sweet Remembrance of You

Caught between the sun and pavement,
Hand in hand and yet apart,
Each one’s friend, but each other’s case,
To the end from the start;

There was no other door,
There was no other way,
For us to live;
We triumphed in the night,
Succeeded in the light,
Each time;

We knew only right and wrong,
Would forever keep us strong,
Never quizzing the road ahead,
We resolved to proceed;

Finding friends and finding knowledge,
We would feel like man and wife,
Resting on each others’ minds,
We declared truth in life;

No matter where we were,
No matter how we did,
We knew we were tall,
Whoever would inquire,
Whoever would aspire,
We loved;

Sometimes hand in hand together,
We’d assert transparency.

Soul Deep

as the tide calmly came
and the winds sang
he played
six strings
his fingers stroked each note
touching her innermost
leaving a glow wherever it flowed
her soul's anecdote
is what he told
so she would know
he wanted to take his time
to find nuances of her mind
hidden in intricate designs
that twirled and twined
igniting the mind of his eye
inviting him to come inside

and she sighed

because he played like he knew her
and she felt like she was newer
and that's what drew her
so she drew him
into her
and she drew him
in purer
strokes of color
his hues
she painted the grays and blues
in rhythm, in tune
to the resonance that brewed
in his soul into
every fiber of his being
was being viewed
as though he was nude
..she saw him too

and he cried

so as one they painted and played
as though it was love that they made
heated exchange
souls engaged
singing the same refrain
giving off identical rays
soothing like beautiful rain
and both became
in waves
and in they fell...
soul deep

Maybe Tomorrow

The Sun had left the horizon
Far behind when I awoke
To face another pointless day
Being destitute and broke

Got up off my friends sofa
Went and made a cup of tea
Had a look through an old paper
Just to find a place for me

Saw a few that might be ok
But I could never pay the rent
Without job and accommodation
I’ll end up living in a tent

Maybe I could have tried harder
In the classroom years ago
I did not think I’d end up here
How the hell was I to know

I even served my country
But that does not mean a thing
Only when I need some shelter
I can some old mates ring

I don’t want to be a burden
And it fills me up with shame
That I have to seek their help
When they are not to blame

I keep looking on the bright side
At least I still have legs to walk
Unlike some other poor soldiers
Who are too shell shocked to talk

Maybe tomorrow I can beat the Sun
And wait patiently to see her rise
To fill my life with her warm embrace
And her ever changing endless skies

Catching The Sun

Hidden behind the clouds, trying to illuminate my dreary day
Simply a brush with the rays and I'm feeling much better
The closing of my eyes a new day has quickly begun
And again I'm "Catching The Sun"
Such a beautiful day on the way maybe soft rock, reggae, or jazz
I will play, no rain in the forecast, to squeeze past
The autumn of love
I thought she was the only one, who could make me forget
Catching the sun...

its never the same

She laughed; he cried, she is happy, his unhappy. She is loved and known by every one; his hated and has no personality. She smiles every time she thinks of her perfect life. He cries every time he thinks of his sad and sorrowful life. She can see her future bright as the sun and wide as heaven. He can see his future sinking in the middle of nowhere. She swims in the river of love and eats in the valley of happiness. He sleeps in the valley of sorrows and wakes up in the arms of sadness. She has great ambitions. He has no clue; life seems not to make any sense to him. Her self-confidence can never be underestimated as widely written all over her. He raises up with the sun light and sets as the dawn break. he is sad as he indicates but still has faith.

Crisp winds

I wake to the crisp winter air

I feel the wind so cool in the night

My soul seems to want to take flight

I hear the lonely winds so cool in the clouds

the birds chirp a song to waken the others

two hungry shadows lurk in the breeze

So dark this morning in time

waiting for the sun to rise

I hear scampering around the tree's

Hoping to hear your voice

hoping to see your hand in my day

seeing the shadows keeps me longing for your embrace

The sun rises and the leaves seem crisp

ready for snow this morning

the clouds are grey and the wind seems to have

went away.

I close my eyes and see the sun

the sun shines deep in my soul

waiting for my master to take control.

In the Woods

In the woods the shadows fade

as the sun falls away

the darkness hides the trees inside

the woods come alive.

Hear the sounds the owls make

as they hunt for their sake.

Scattering feet running to hide

little mice trying to fly

the owls are hungry, its their time

to eat and scare the shadows inside.

Now the sun is opening up

the darkness fades and the light shines

the owls sleep and all is safe

for the mice are scampering all around

pleased to know they are safe and sound.

she follows me i chase her west

ill wade my waist through dangers deep
to place a kiss on darlings cheek
a tropic heat and chronic sheik
she casted gold for time to keep

when life lay heavy, cloudy grey
a rowdy way, I proudly play
to end the day with surly gaze
homeward bound brings me to bay

far as rome that i may roam
broken tolls on country roads
spire domes and desert coves
a fired oak within my own

she follows me i chase her west
nuzzled tight under my breast
strong and warm her worth no less
our cycle pines to never rest

Darkness and the Sun

Slowly darkness reaches out

gently killing all thats bright

pushing out all the light

filling everything with night.

wait I call out to the day

please can't you stay

or at least take me away

but the light

the light does not respond

instead countiues to fade

only the night

only the night wind answers my plea

saying whoo? Whooooooo?

Whoooo are youuuuu that youuuu shouuuld go with the light?

Alone i'm left.

When the darkness comes

it reaches out for me

wrapping around me

I feel the gloom breaking down my shield

So one more time I call out to the light,

Calling for the Sun

Please Please rescue me from the night!

Then suddenly I see the Sun,

I feel the warmth of His rays,

wrapping around me

holding me in the Light

I am here

you are not alone

I will always return.

Never fear for the Night is the one that will always fade away.

So when the Night comes

When he steals everything that sparkles

Remember that you are not alone

that the Sun will soon be hodling you.

Into the Sun

We live under a big sky, hide in caves and wonder why?

Fill them with our sticks and stones, like imaginary gnomes.

Comes a girl with dark brown hair, said my life she'd like to share.

But all she could do is lie, and all I could do is sigh.

She turned and just walked away, said I'd be sorry someday.

No one warned that love hurts too, now I get the color blue.

In the future should I find, a girl who has lost her mind,

I'll tell her that its' O.K., then say 'what's that', and just slip away.

Life's a mix of good and bad, sometimes happy, sometimes sad.

They say the best way to live, not to receive but to give.

So in the end don't lose sight, always move toward the light.

No more in caves we shall hide, into the sun we will ride!

And the sun it still does shine

It was the land of our fathers
Life was hard, a daily grind
Though we had food in our bellies
And the sun it still did shine

Foreign soldiers came with promises
But their leaders were so blind
Our land became unstable
But the sun it still did shine

The black flag came with mad men
Holy books redefined
Bloodied streets flowed like rivers
But the sun it still did shine

With despair and with no hope
A new land must we find
Crushing bodies cling to each other
But the sun it still did shine

My child's hand it slipped away from me
With a surge of the salty brine
A watery grave now of so many
But the sun it still does shine
