The Butterflies Dance - Whitney

~The Butterflies Dance~ (A Double Whitney) The sun is so warm and nice there is cheer everywhere cause spring has sprung one more time and winter so cold is now gone. The Brilliant Spring

Crazy wind whispers
Into the ears of ‘champa’
A light scented Indian flower
Trees are full of them now
Your love in each and every bough

The breeze is cool
Because it is spring
Because it is south wind
Because everywhere is hue
Because it is warm with you

Blue hills and green plains
My room at sixes and sevens
Red bellied wood peckers drumming
Rhythm in feet nimble
Your twinkling eyes with dimple

Our roads are tremendously red
Ashok Palash and Gulmohar
They call it flame-of-the-forest
Love in red supreme
With you in extravagant dream

Books in eloquently colorful blurb
Beauty steps in every curve
Invitation in every nerve
The spring below and spring above
Your healing love

Goes away alas the days
Of dance in soul in warm sun rays
Goes away your ocean gaze
Life in a twilight haze
Your beautiful craze

Ah if I could have turned the clock
Holding your hand in a Gulmohar walk
Only our hands and feet would talk
Around the clock arm in arm
In your beauty and charm

Alas that is not to be a thing
Our time is as short as the spring

Beautiful Springtime -The Trolaan Style

~Beautiful Springtime~
(Trolaan)

Beautiful first spring day
Bountiful sun then may rain
Be happy spring comes after winter gray
Bright sunshine glows like golden grain

Enticing spring is here again at last
Enchanting sights of so much beauty and renewal
Every ray of sun illuminates everything so fast
Entire sky is now so blue like a precious jewel

Now new and wonderful changes after winter and snow
Nurturing beauty of spring is such a sight
Nosegays and roses buds see them all grow
Nice time to relax and enjoy the spring night

On and on my Master has created spring for us all
Orchids, roses, tulips and so many beautiful things to enjoy
Ocean and mountains during spring season stand tall
Outside there's a wonderful weather for all girls and boys.

SPRING

S - P - R - I - N - G Ah! Harsh cold winter must be tired, his grip weakening, he breathes his last. The frowning skies finally crumble fast revealing downy blue clouds that waltz The sun blows kisses of shine--- like a rainfall touching, caressing but melting adagio the white icy coats among branches... The blossoms sultry strip to loosen their curves then upon naked arms of trees curls the color green trembling with symptoms of spring. Birds twiddle free to sound like thrums. Evergreen trees duet as they whistle to calm tunes of nippy breeze. All around a choir blushing fountain hues of brown, red, pink and yellow. Animals long-hiding from hugs of frost now stands. They burst with grins and jolts-- like squirrels bouncing up and down. Butterflies outstretch wings flutter by! Snow that clogs and plugs finally weeps-- running dry with the heat rising slow on air. It stirs sweet liquid pearls to tip-toe on leaves and petal's swells. Buzzing bees chase fresh floating nectar... Lured, they dance on merry-go-round in the warm bosom of smiling sunshine. Coats and boots all pack and rolled away, chuckles and giggles tickle the daytime flair as little children prance to do some plays. _____________________________________________ POEM OF THE DAY -- JANUARY 07, 2015 Sponsor: Shadow Hamilton Contest Name: Seasons Placed 1st ©O.E. Springing Sea of Green

I love it when Spring finally comes The buds showing their little sprouts Yes indeed from this seasons of four I'm awake many sleeping plants shout I love it when I walk through the parks When these buds turn to a sea of green Forgotten are the plants being so stark This birthing season just has to be seen I love it when I sit on the park benches When the breeze caresses Sakura trees The airs scented by their pinky blossoms Mother nature and man in total agree When I retire I'll grow a green thumb for I love it when Spring finally comes

Growing With Love Always

Spring menu of snowdrops, daffodils, dandelion, crocus and anemones
Each color blossoms the beauty swaying inside a breeze dancing thoughts

The image of spring changed colors roaring never thought my heart might burst
Within waves blowing kisses warmly touching the chambers endless bliss

The moment the sun draws the mist from the sea to the skies feels magical
Your footprints on deep sands fluttering wings of an angel beaming sunshine

Under the wing of an angel you will find safety, happiness and beauty
held within a gasping breath your love true and complete beautiful

SPRING ABECADARIAN

Azaleas with their vibrant jewelled colours mingle with
Begonias to bring beauty to my garden borders.
Calendula or Marigolds in glorious gold dazzle me like spring sunshine.
Daffodils dance delightfully on a zephyr breeze whilst
Exochorda macrantha is like a spring bride dressed in white pearls.
Forsythia with bright yellow blossom is such a sunny spring shrub
Gentiana is the queen of the alpines with its blue star like blooms.
Hyacinths with their heady scent are stunning when placed with
Irises in lovely lilac shades and grown in the same container.
Jonquil blooms are beautiful with many flowers on one stem.
Koreanspice viburnum provides colour and scent with their fragrant flowers.
Lily of the valley is sweetly scented but be wary as it is poisonous.
Magnolia’s magnificent flowers remind me of pink stars in the daytime.
Nemisia gives out superb scent and a splash of colour.
Oxlips look like large cowslips but with yellow primula flowers
Pansies remind me of smiling faces and brighten my pots
Quince trees produce pretty pink flowers in late spring
Rhododendrons provide a riot of springtime colour
Scillia or bluebells are abundant in April and May
Trillium thrive in a shady spot in your garden
Ulex or gorse gives a golden glow in the hedgerows
Violets have tiny flowers that can be sugared for pretty decorations.
Wallflowers grow anywhere in our gardens … not just by walls!!!
Xeranthemum or immortal flowers are related to sunflowers.
Yarrow has a lovely scent and can be used for medicinal purposes.
Zephyranthes robusta or rain lilies thrive in spring showers.

Springtime Once Again - LaCharta Style

~Springtime Once Again~
(LaCharta)

The days are turning rather hot
It's spring, but you'd think that we'd got
Summer, because it is so hot.
It's so warm need find a cool spot
Rather like weather when is cool
What want now is jump in the pool

Springtime is so lovely indeed
When rains more cool weather we need
It's a nice time to plant more seeds
Also time to kill more those bad weeds
Beautiful roses we see grow
Spring is when nature seems to glow

Hear many birds sing from the trees
Mother duck with her chicks now just see
Children play and just laugh with glee
Many games to play on land, sea.
Enjoy spring, 'cause her days go fast
Spring sadly, for too long won't last.

Winter to Spring

He shivers as he steps on the porch,
The sharp icy air gives a certain scorch.
As he steps out from the arbors protection,
out to where there is no affection.
   A month or so later,
the boy feels oh so much greater.
  The sun shining down,
where there is no such thing as a frown.
But now there is a long process to get from season to season,
and you get tired of Winter's cold and sharp treason.
So as we walk through the steps, enjoy the end of Winter's blast,
just as you did when it began and you said "At last!"
As Winter comes joy fills the world,
as snowballs get thrown and hurled.
The cheer, the bliss begins with a snow,
however you come to remember and know,
that Winter lugs on and on until Spring.
   Though not very easy,
we must try to enjoy the breezy and sneezy.
So as the snow melts into the dirt underneath,
people will put away festive décor, trees, and a wreath.
People then change from heavy bundles of clothes,
and on to short sleeves is where the style arose.
The used-to-be snowflakes turn now to dandelion seeds,
flying to and fro, and landing where it needs.
A pleasing fragrant of Honeysuckle, Jasmine,
awhile bumble bees come flying, trying to get in.
Low and behold Spring is in,
while once a year it begins again.

Mother Nature

She sends light and warmth, with the birth of spring and they are obedient to her call, for She's the mother, for whom the birds sing. She commands the rain, as if She were king, to ensure Her forests grow straight and tall, she sends light and warmth, with the birth of spring. She summons clouds and the lightning they fling, from a raging storm, to a gentle squall, for She’s the mother, for whom the birds sing. She rules in winter, when icicles cling, and snowdrifts conceal the colors of fall, she sends light and warmth, with the birth of spring. She circles the sun with a golden ring, and raises the moon like a glowing ball, for She's the mother, for whom the birds sing. She’s everywhere, controlling everything, wearing rain’s misty droplets, like a shawl, she sends light and warmth, with the birth of spring, for She’s the mother, for whom the birds sing. With Beauty Greater Than A Peacock's Preen

With Beauty Greater Than A Peacock's Preen

Of all the great new dawns, Spring gifts the best
With sunbeams racing to glisten new green.
In all of Nature, she survives each test
With beauty greater than a peacock's preen.
Thy teeming wildlife, most welcomed minions
O' friend, thy gifts sing in so many ways.
With sweet Hope and Truth thy bold companions
From day's promise to final ending rays.
When new grass sings its highest gracing songs
Thy miracle, telling this world to bow.
Thy birth, taught all that all truly belongs
To the whole, future promise and the now.

Of all the great new dawns, Spring takes the cake.
Why not celebrate each, for goodness sake?

Come Spring

Pods appear upon the sprigs of green reaching skyward
covered in early morning dew.
Soft yellow petals open and fold down forming a blanket
upon which the trumpet center will rest.
The sun shining down on the daffodils give a feeling of
daintiness to the flowers.
One of the most beautiful flowers seen swaying in the
spring breeze.

A sign that spring is indeed bursting at the seams to be
born again.
As the spring season arrives and Easter approaches the
daffodils will be in full bloom.
The trumpets reaching to the sky in a wonderful display
of beautiful colors.
Again year after year these precious flowers return to us
once more to admire.

Spring Morning

Slowly the light comes into my eyes.
The morning is here and that's no surprise.

Thin lines of the sun's rays shine through.
An open curtain from across my bedroom.

My eyelids are heavy and feel so dry.
Trying to wipe the long sleep from my eye.

The tiniest particles of dust float softly from my bed.
Splatter across thin lines of light just above my head.

I wonder to myself, should I get up or just stay.
The covers so warm and wishing to remain this way.

The smell of fresh coffee is permeating the air.
Who could it be making hot coffee out there?

A bright new day has started for all of us, not just me.
Come into my dream with me and see how great it can be.

Two Views on Spring

1.
Eternal Spring

O Peaceful trees
Permit the bees
To raid your flowers
As they please
And let the breeze
Play with your leaves
Before they meet
Old winter’s freeze
And waft your fragrance
 Everywhere
And strew your petals in my hair
For spring will bring it all
And let you
Squander it again.

2.
As Seasons Go

Lifeless
Dormant in the ground
Stick- like to my view
And yet in spring
Yourself will you renew
And leaves and fruit abound
Rejoicing in the dew
And verdant will your vines
Bring forth
The possibility
Of nectar sweet your winter wines
Will bring me ecstacy.
Return to dormancy
Content I’ll be
To let you mark the seasons
For eternity
And me.

The Petal

The petal has floated into a new vast world
The wind of harmony uplifts the petal
The petal is drifting with serendipity
The petal is in love

Bliss is all I see, floating on winds that freed me
Dancing with others in a swooning flurry
How long will nirvana last without my tree
Time, please do not hurry

Pity the perennial
They are isolated from winds of passion
Never taking a chance, never will they see unknown beauty
Why are they watching us while we explore all of mother nature's creation

Fading, the sun relinquishes my mortal soul
Withering away, the earth is reaping me
Crumbling, winds spread my ashes into the sunset
I am ready, sweet death

Wildflowers

Standing out in a field alone, a little white flower named Daisy longed for someone to share her world.
One day a blue flower named Bachelor Button entered her world they became friends.
She knew by his name that he was not the propagating kind, but that didn’t stop their relationship she called him BB short for best bud.
The seasons of Spring & Summer they enjoyed the sun, laughed in the rain and held on fast in the Fall.
Winter came it was long and hard they were both covered in a blanket of snow, not knowing whether they would ever see each other again or even survive .The snow fell then came the ice, this went on for months.

The Sun shone brightly the first day of spring. A few days later warmth of the sun melted the snow, Daisy popped up .
I’ve been waiting days for you to come out, said BB, they both chanted hooray!
The snow was completely gone in a few days, the birds started building their nests , bugs were crawling around ,butterflies began to visit the two flowers. I wish there were more of us Daisy said, to BB.

They laughed as the sun and wind blew through their leaves. Then it started the sun and rain took turns until one morning the air & field was filled with the smell of flowers.

Daisy and BB looked at each other and asked what kind of flowers are these ? they’re not white like daisies they’re not blue like bachelor buttons. They did not know the birds and bugs carried the seeds from the two of them and the caterpillars buried them under the soil.
The seeds from the new flowers were then carried by the winds many miles away, they landed in fertilized gardens and flourished, although they faced danger everyday.
as they were called WEEDS ..
The Gardener pulls weeds out of the garden so they don’t choke the flowers, which cost a lot of money and require lots of maintenance.

However there was a Gardener who saw her friends spending hours weeding their garden , that they didn’t have enough time to admire and enjoy the labors of their love
So she set out to give a home to all the weeds ,she provided a place where they could fit in and multiply, they required no maintenance, rain provides their water .

The best part of all is their beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Ask my granddaughter-- What are those flowers in the garden ?
She will answer "WILDFLOWERS " their parents were Daisy and BB

Spring Breeze

The trees are awaken by the soft blowing spring breeze, they are stretching their branches out as to welcome us back, the birds gently land as they start to serenade them with their beautiful songs.

The Spring Breeze blows gently as we step walk in natures bliss, we too are stretching our arms to take a deep cleansing breath, we have been hibernating deep in our cocoons that kept us warm and snug, now we must unfold ourselves and let our beauty be seen, as like a butterfly we too must take flight.

The ducks, seagulls, fly overhead, sharing their stories as we listen to them squawk, flying in unison in a flying V. Wherever are their journey has taken them, only they know.

The Spring Breeze blows harder this time, I know this is my sign, that summer is coming, and the clear blue skies will paint its own tapestry for us to enjoy, all together again, in Minnesota style with smiles, laughter, and natures special way.

The Smell Of Spring

The smell of spring rejuvenates the air
for winter’s breath is unable to freeze,
as a friendly sun melts away despair.

Gazing to heaven in silent prayer
surrounded by budding flowers and trees,
the smell of spring rejuvenates the air.

Life starts to blossom with color and flare,
and sweet aromas perfume every breeze,
as a friendly sun melts away despair.

Patches of green start sprouting here and there
as saplings begin to unfold their leaves,
the smell of spring rejuvenates the air.

Tulips emerge from the cold ground with care,
gambling this early warmth's not nature’s tease,
as a friendly sun melts away despair.

A treat for the senses, fragrant and rare,
just one whiff and tensions begin to ease.
The smell of spring rejuvenates the air,
as a friendly sun melts away despair.

Temperature Rising

At any moment spring might arrive
Be prepared with a light jacket in hand
Can you feel the cold wind running away?
Dance with me as the meadows turn green
Enjoy the sounds of streams as they thaw
Feel the warmth of the sun on your face
Great days are about to begin
Happiness returns with the singing of the birds.

I love how the coming of spring makes me feel
Jumping up out of bed anxious to greet a new day
Kissing your eyelids to wake you up
Let's go for a walk
Maybe we will even see a glimpse of summer today!
Now is the very best time to greet the day

On days like this
People seem so much happier
Quietly taking in the moment
Rising just that little bit earlier
So that they can enjoy nature coming back to life
Trading winter clothing for optimistic shorts
Underestimating winter's resilience
Variable temperature seem the order of the day
Wise people keep warm clothing close at hand
X X X OOO, I see there is a better way to keep warm!
Yes this is the time of year for lovers
Zero degrees and the temperature is rising!
