so, i got to thinking
about all those words
planted in my language
where fertility grew them
to leave and stalk and pod

the farmer's words scatter
my fields like seed on clod
watered by thundering flashes
awash, fertilized and germinating

progeny seedlings, my own growth
in some time-lapse photography
writhing their creamy roots
into earthy loam and droning
on through a summer daze

into fruits of sweaty labors
on humid chlorophylled days
silks sultry green, stalking me
through rows and rows as far
as i can see, if i squint

the farmer, suspended in time
stands with his hands in pocket
or on some implement toed to soil
and surveys life's prospects
for this season, before the

days bake the green back into
the humus and the cornucopia
spills the field and orchard
this verse of the farmer's song
picked and stowed away cool

eyes closed now, ears gently
strain to hear, worldly phrasing
come from where? my larder
or some ancestor gleaning meaning
and dropping it into her apron

to carry home to hungry minds
to feed them something of today
and sustain them through a fallow
solstice and the chilled breeze

any cultivation harvested over
picked clean and harrowed flat
nearly time to plow it under again
while the farmer gazes the horizon
and sips something in his cup

papa said
son what you going to do
with your life

now that you have
no money job
or wife

he said papa
I'm going to
leave this town

think I'll
join up with the rodeo
and break them bulls down

Maybe even rope
me a stallion or
even a clown

Son you better
take another
look around

for theres no money
for bull riders
thrown to the ground

or being stepped on
by a horse or bull
weighing over eight hundred pounds

Papa I promise
Ill make you proud
of your rodeo cowboy when I'm done

And promise
not to be thrown or bucked off
to the ground

So papa please come
visit when our show's
in town

for I'll be
the one riding high on
the biggest bull that's found

hanging on for just
eight seconds while I'm
listening for that bells sound

just kicking those sides
of horses and bulls
jumping up and down

with coming out your
top rodeo champion and
bull rider found

We must leave the ninety-nine
To go search and find
The one lost sheep
Wand'ring far behind
We must leave the ninety-nine
To go search and find
The one lost sheep-
Left behind (Chorus)

Just suppose one of you has a hundred sheep
Then loses one of them and begins to weep
Would you not leave the ninety and nine
And go after the one on your heart and mind
And when it's found you would hold it closer
And carry it home upon your shoulders
Then call all your neighbors and gather all your friends
Celebrating your sheep that's back in the fold again

[Bridge]
Likewise there's more rejoicing
In Heaven up above
Over one lost soul who will repent
Than for the ninety-nine
Who are already found
To be righteous and so obedient (So..)

(Chorus)

Now suppose one of you has ten silver coins
But then loses one of them from your collection
Would you not light the house and sweep the floors
Searching very carefully for what is yours
Would you not put away the other precious nine
And look in every corner until the lost one you'd find
Then call all your neighbors and gather all your friends
Celebrating you have your coin in your hand again

[Bridge]

(Chorus)

[Bridge2]
But don't forsake the congregation
And now's the time for visitation
To lead the lost ones to salvation
With God's angels in celebration

(Chorus)

Lets all cook a Sheppard pie, Sheppard pie, Sheppard pie.
First we make a Sheppard die, Sheppard die I'll make a Kaden die!

You wouldn't believe it from the way the pie tastes,
but there's nothing behind that butt ugly face!
Who needs a brain when you've got copy and paste?
Who needs talent when you steal without grace?

Now you really are up against someone who knows the down and doubting game,
I was clever enough to write it Kaden, but I'm also insane.
I will make you remember my name, so you wont steal my rhymes ever again!!

I have a thirst for the turf,
first things first thicko, you're about to get served!!
My verse you stole was clever,
don't try and work it out dumbass it'll take you forever!!

If you were clever you'd know why..... did you steal your brain too?
Maybe from a pig sty.
I hope you get in the top 100 and go straight to number one,
so everyone looks at you as I point out what you've done,
if you have more success then i'll have more fun.

It's the depth of my Not Afraid Part 1 that makes it better,
two separate metaphors that come together,
and the double entendre that begins halfway through making me become a fighter.
I actually reflect on the logic leaking out of me and how i am a good writer,
that's why i need to shake the habit you faggot!!
I guess your constipated pig brain didn't calculate that,
you cleary went of track and played a little words spat,
and i bet you stole that from another poets hat.

Kaden Sheppard stole my rhyme and made it simple,
so i'm a write a poem when i like to point it out to people.
Shall we call it Selfish Ambition, Kaden, is that okay?
I'll steal your two words cus you stole my whole verse,
delete your stolen bu****it and be on your way.......

I can do this all day, while i..........

cook a Sheppard pie, Sheppard pie, Sheppard pie.
Lets all cook a Sheppard pie, Sheppard pie, Sheppard pie.
First we make a Sheppard die, Sheppard die, I'll make a Kaden die!

generic minds listen to generic music
have generic thoughts that are unknowingly abusive
watch generic things talk about generic things
gee this generic *****is spreading like a disease
better get your flu shot
thats what they said to me
a suicidal vaccine
a subliminal killing spree
its contagious and the outrageous
thing about it is that the people are blind in an eye
that they didn't even know they had
it's sickening to watch these clueless civilians
inside the looking glass
with nightmares of being free
without a key to their mind
for it is trapped in the frequency
in the illusion of time
bathed in our universe
killing all that refuse to see
those that admit to hypocracy
or see the message in hip hop
how cant you see
the message in the lyrics that
bring adolescents to their knees
from bullet wounds conflicting their flesh
contradicting that they're the best
but the songs keep telling them that they dont need no rest
that they dont wanna go home
that they should ride alone
with the gat as their only companion
and so the only path they choose is the one that they're told
until they grow old and hope turns to a window pane
inside a window pane, until all they feel is pain
they realize that the music itself is ashamed
so whats to look up to
when you cant even speak when you cant even walk because you look so bleak
your eyes are sunken from the tv you're infested with the dee zees
now its too late to turn around and live for your conscious
so when youre screaming oh please
close your eyes and bring your mind to life
open your eyes for the first time
and never wonder why
since the answer this entire time
has been inside
and you better find it before you die
you dont want your soul to be in a pool with all the others
a buncha brothers missing their mothers
but only seeing strangers
only feeling the haters
wishing they would have used their minds when they had them
and now its too late,
now it's time for another new born fate to grab them

You work and work for years and years. You're always on the go.
You never take a minute off, you're too busy makin' dough.
Some day, you say, you'll have your fun when you're a millionaire.
Imagine all the fun you'll have in your old rockin' chair,
so enjoy yourself, it's later than you think.
Enjoy yourself while you're still in the pink.
The years go by as quickly as you wink,
so enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think.
Your heart of hearts, your dream of dreams your ravishing brunette
has left you now and she's become somebody else's pet.
Lay down that gun, don't try my friend to reach the great beyond.
You'll have more fun by reaching for a red-head or a blonde,
so enjoy yourself, it's later than you think.
Enjoy yourself while you're still in the pink.
The years go by as quickly as you wink.
Enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think.
You love somebody very much, you'd like to set the date,
but money doesn't grow on trees so you decide to wait.
You're so afraid that you will bite off more than you can chew.
Don't be afraid, you won't have teeth when you reach ninety two,
so enjoy yourself, it's later than you think.
Enjoy yourself while you're still in the pink
The years go by as quickly as you wink,
so enjoy yourself, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think.
You never visit nightclubs so you never get a dance.
You don't have time for silly things like moonlight and romance.
You only think of dollar bills tied neatly in a stack,
but when you kiss a dollar bill it doesn't kiss you back,
so enjoy yourself, it's later than you think.
Enjoy yourself while you're still in the pink.
The years go by as quickly as you wink,
so enjoy, enjoy, enjoy yourself, it's later than you think.
Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy Yourself! It's later than you think.

She wanted a great big brand new house, among brand new other things,
and just to marry and be my spouse, she wanted great big diamond rings,
So I knew what she was about, when she wanted so much bling,
it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out, money was her thing.....

But you can't squeeze blood from a turnip, my ol' daddy use to say,
don't build bridges that burn up son, you'll need them again someday,
You're never too old to keep learnin', work hard to pay your way,
Keep a job and keep on earnin' son, ya know, Rome wasn't built in a day...

Well, she just wasn't the one for me, so she went on down the road,
and as far as I could see, she could carry her own dang load,
Yes, I'm so glad she's free, and she left my humble abode,
because she inspired this song to be, another one seeking gold,

But you can't squeeze blood from a turnip, my ol' daddy use to say,
don't build bridges that burn up son, you'll need them again someday,
You're never too old to keep learnin', work hard to pay your way,
Keep a job and keep on earnin' son, ya know, Rome wasn't built in a day.

Still playing our song, Was it “ The way you look tonight?” After all, the yester-years have whirled big time into dizzy roller-coaster spins ... If by romance you mean toes twinkling by the sand, where our feet met in tender July as duskfall melted white when wet kisses sprayed the breeze on trills of vestal wedding chimes... And jealous clouds witnessed this dazzling pirouette for two; eyes touching each other twenty fingers becoming ten in wrapped ball of surrender... That is too sweet to hang on dipping stars, it may as well be romance... but then, the garbage overflows and laundry piling on double racks; while that big time frown turns sleek, after finishing off the house grind... until arms enchantingly come at me to relish " The way you look tonight." ........... Debbie Guzzi's Talk The Talk, Walk The Walk "big time"-- 80s slang meaning" extremely, completely, in a grand way."

Do you have hard work to do? Do it now!
Do you have a kind work to say? Say it now!
if you have hard work to do,
Do it now,
Today the skies are clear and blue,
Tomorrow clouds may come in view
Yesterday is not for you,
Do it now.
If you have a song to sing,
Sing it now,
let the tones of gladness ring
Clear as song of bird is spring,
let each day some music bring,
Sing it now.
if you have some kind words to say,
Say them now
Tomorrow may not come your way,
Do a kindness while you may,
loved ones will not always stay,
Say them now.
Make hearts happy,roses grow,
Let the friends around you know
The love you have before they go,
Show it now.
Work for the night is coming
Work through the sunny noon,
Fill brightest hours with labor,
Rest come sure and soon,
Give every flying minute,
Something to keep in store,
work for the night is coming,
when man works no more,so
Do your work now.

She chose a red scarf. The most red
of them all.
Of a dark red, a sweet and thick red color,
just as wine.

She carved from the red scarf
from the middle
to the size of a Martini glass.

Then she carved one more glass,
and she kept carving
till she fell asleep.

Yesterday
she saw her Beloved Moth
flirting with a Younger Moth,
carving together from a sweater
while she was getting busy,
carving in the shelves.

The Unhappy Moth drank lots of wine
woolen wine,
last night.
She drank lots, too much
for a Moth.
The Unhappy Moth got drunk
and fell asleep
on the red scarf,
unhidden
with a heart filled with peace.

She was not afraid no more.
Now she could be seen easily,
laying on the scarf
and easily crushed.

The Unhappy Moth was not
afraid of death no more,
at least, now she knew
how wonderful the red scarfs are
and that they taste
like red wine.

I was your never ending composer
We spent many a nights, and many an hour together
But now you’re lost inside
And I can’t find my way, again.

( chorus )
Cause I can’t say it without you
It hurts to be without the feeling
Never knowing when it will return
But I know that you would stay with me
If you came back, again some day
But till then I’ll wait till you appear.

I really miss the way you make me feel
People said we were meant to be together
Why’d you leave me so unexpectedly
I hope you come back soon.

( Chorus )

It’s been two months since I’ve written you
All I’ve got to show is crumpled bits of paper
The passion and creativity is now gone
So come back home so I can work it out.

Quit my job, smashed my car
My back does throb, need to learn guitar

So I can make, a silly song
And I can sing, it all day long
About how, my God is strong
So that even now, nothing’s wrong

Even though, I quit my job
smashed my car, my back does throb

Life is hard, but I’ve got God
So I won’t let any thought
Any worry or fear
Convince me you’re not near

Even when, I quit my job,
Smashed my car, my back does throb
Life is hard, but I won’t sob
I need to learn guitar

The busy bee carried the nector
From one flower to another
Moved her exhausted wings, struggled like Hector
She fall, but she shall die but not serve the Queen mother

But today was so bizarre
She was the only one working hard
She saw a bee sitting on a flower smoking a cigar
And a servant bee, in a Jaguar car

"What is going on?" she said
Many questions were in her head
When she returned home, all bees were in bed
"Oh, no one is working" she said

Bees were not eating honey but bread
"I am going to tell the Queen" she said
She went to the Queen's room, with a heavy head
"Oh" the Queen was with a servant bee in bed

"What do you want , you idiot bee?"
"Busy bees I can no longer see"
"Are you dump? Today is free"
"A vocation, can't you see?"

The bee woke up with a heavy head
"Oh, what a nightmare" she sadly said

TEACHERS SONG
Edward Clay
summer 1997

Fly with me my young ones
on wings of metal and stone.
Learn with me and we shall see
what dreams you call your own?

First acquire the basic skills
the way of tools and flame.
Then find the heart within the stone
a picture for the frame.

Rings and pins with mounted stones
and bracelets to admire.
Jewelry made with skill and love
as the crafts require.

Now my stone of life is dust
I know my time has gone.
The art and skills I shared with all
those skills one will pass on.

Enlighten days have past
He comes excel in all, so he thinks
"I am greater than man,
I know what ignorant man does not.
Come to me for knowledge unsurpassed!".
He points to the blue heaven,
"Where is thy wisdom? For I know all.
Where is thy command? That makes the ground shake
And brings forth water that lives?"

At the great gatherings,
He flocks the shepherds, blind, mute and deaf
He answers to the multitude of questions
He asked the shepherds, "but what are thy questions?",
“I know not what do ask a man of your wisdom, but what is a dream?
What is life?” asked the young herdsman.
"I know not what you speak of", said the Man.
"I only know what i can feel, touch and see"

"A dream is dream that passes us by, like gentle breeze of fresh spring.
Life holds all things mystery and doubts.
Shepherd knows to flock, not life or dreams".
"The shepherds are those who are humble, noble one", said the herdsman
"The blind cannot see, the mute cannot speak and the deaf cannot hear".
"Who are you preaching to? Silent and amaze, the man looks on.

"If the blind could see you,
They would say, 'look here is the man who tried to humble the blind
For they can see what others cannot,
If the mute could speak, they would humble you!
And if the deaf could hear they would shamed your wisdom".
"Was I a fool?" said the Man "or are you not that young herdsman?
Who knows nothing of life and passes his days tending the sheep's?
What could you learn from such simpleton life?"

"Life I live is simple indeed,
No one knows that the shepherds are those who protects the weak"
"Nature is a friend of the shepherd; we sing the song of David
And rubs the olive oil to our young sheep, to keep away the flies".
Insulted, the man's fury turns over to the young herdsman
"Nature? Protect the weak? The song of David? Flies?
How can nature befriend a lonely shepherd? Protect who?
Song of David the Shepherd who became the king?
What flies would harm the young flocks?"

The young herdsman smiled at the frown face of the man,
Left without a word
The blind, the mute and deaf ignored the man.
An unyielding shame kept the man humbled
He wonders why the young herdsman smiled about.
He came about a bridge and crossed the rocky roads
On the hill top he stood
And saw the young herdsman singing the Song of David.

You carried my emotions from the start
Each emotion bound in the small black note
Each one coming straight from my chilly heart
The music you make is my antidote
Through the preludes my comfort softly lay
By way of mazurkas my soul does fly
But to divulge you must learn how to play
Although learning is not a piece of pie
Piano brings emotions around town
You have the power to bring my heart up
Or throw me on the floor and beat me down
There are hard times when I just want to cup
My hands in my face and rock back and forth
And think Piano is a friend of worth

Outside the group that's outside the box
seeing inside the outside Im shocked
how you shape our fate as it knocks
on imaginations and what they concoct

My dream craves standards, but they take work
here efforts actualize ideals
tough labors haunt tall morals that lurk
conscience yielding obsession's appeals

Then I want to want like I need
I want to make like I eat
and overgrow like a weed
lead the way as the street

Chance is the string in front of the cat
you wiggle it and they start to hunt
powerless to hope, now a door mat
contours the form of fantasy's brunt

My dream yearns for spirit's fruition
This needs my best and the will to provide
Then integrity tugs ambition
then my drive to succeed won't subside

And I want to want like I need
I want to make like I eat
and over grow like a weed
lead the way as the street

Outside the outside wants inside the inside
thirst and honor feeds the ride
swallow and beg with my mouth open wide
for virtue to lead the way of the guide

Last night we had a quarrel
We went to bed so mad
Each had to get up early
The morning was quite sad
I never meant to say that
I know you didn’t, too
With hopes to reconcile
Just know that I love you

Yeah darling…
It couldn’t be more true

That’s why
Leaving you
Is the hardest thing to do

Each morning when we go to work
A piece of me, it goes with you
I cannot wait to get back home
To do those things we do

That’s why
Leaving you
Is the hardest thing to do

I hope tonight we’re civil
We listen and we learn
Together, we’ll get past this
Each others trust, we’ll earn
So, then we can retire
To the bedroom that we share
Lie within each others arms
And show how much we care

Yeah darling…
It couldn’t be more true

That’s why
Leaving you
Is the hardest thing to do

Each morning when we go to work
A piece of me, it goes with you
I cannot wait to get back home
To do those things we do

That’s why
Leaving you
Is the hardest thing to do

And when my work’s over
I will come back to you

Trees and dirt I sleep on the earth, the dust the sand, longing to birth.
Oil on skin, bare,
sweat on your back,
feels amazing.
Yes! Im back on track.
Sleeping cosy as a worm,
unencumbered by any material possession or fixed term.
Free to explore, a magical universe,
I must implore.
No home, no chores, no bills to pay.
Just water, food gathered and warmth today.
A dusty cave, cute as a button, no slamming door,
just love in your belly, to the very core.
I love this realm,
just need more time,
time to explore.
Trees and dirt I sleep on the earth, the dust, the sand, longing to birth.
And return once again to mother earth.

In the name of love
she makes the same old mistakes
every time he lies

but it's all the same
as she runs away with hopes
it'll work this time

Just to realize

love is whack in the heart of a woman
truly believing the lie of a man

he strips her of love

as she refuses to lie down and die
accepting a burning bleeding red rose

she stares at the stars

no longer evident in his dull eyes
wondering who is he saving them for

just to realize

In the name of love
she makes the same old mistakes
every time he lies

but it's all the same
as she runs away with hopes
it'll work this time

The work I do is not the most prestigious one,
from four to twelve thirty I drive...until my shift is done;
a forklift driver rarely takes a coffee-break,
and being courteous and helpful to customers means a lot.

My long-life dream was to be a songwriter like Andrew Lloyd Webber, but my songs
didn't click...they never made the Top Ten on the Billboard Charts;
and although they didn't sell well to make it my profession, I still hold my thumb up...
that if a famous recording artist performed them, I'd have a huge hit!

My free time is devoted to creating lyrics that I will set to music in late hours;
and I would never be a Mozart, Verdi, or Beethoven if didn't knock on doors
and expose my works to those who would be willing to listen without reluctance...
could one be old and succeed as the young ones with fresher, brighter ideas?

For now, I remain the same blue collar guy coloring more illusive dreams;
many approach me and say," Don't give up...you have plenty of chances!".
I do want to believe that and wear the deserved crown and be lauded as others...
'till my lucky day comes, I must make a living and have the faith of the achievers.

As soon as I get this done I’m going to Freedom
As soon as I finish this work I’m going to Freedom
There’s always more to get done
There’s always less time for fun
How am I gonna get on the road to go to Freedom?

The work is never gonna be done to go to Freedom
How am I gonna get it all done to go to Freedom?
                          We all need a break
It’s not given, we gotta take
That’s the day that I hit the road to go to Freedom

I finally figured out a way to go to Freedom
I figured out how to get to Freedom
You see, Freedom’s not a place
To escape the human rat race
Freedom is a way to be and I’m in Freedom

A state of mind, not a place, that is Freedom
We all can hit the road and go to Freedom
                           Just an attitude adjustment
And a mind set you have busted
Before you know it, you’re livin’ high in Freedom

Go to the ant and learn (2x's)
Go to the ant, ant, ant
Go to the ant and learn- (Chorus)

She digs her house down deep
She builds her house up high
And though she has no king
Her armies stay alive

In the summer she will reap
For the coming winter sky
She gathers everything
Her colonies survive

(Chorus)

Consider all her ways
She's small but she expects
Her people stay as one
And she is strong and wise

So number all your days
Prepare for what comes next
And til everything is done
Let no sleep tempt your eyes

Go to the ant, ant, ant (3x's)
Go to the ant

No work, unemployed, I am free
I go to the unemployment office and talk to the man
He looks at my state and says he will do what he can
The man asks me which of the three jobs I choose
I don't want a job, I guess I've got those Lazy Hound Dog Blues
I go outside, sit at the bench and wait for the bus
I've got nowhere to be, I ain't in no rush
It's getting to be late in the afternoon
Getting hungry and will be home soon
My wife left me a note saying were through
At the moment I don't care, it's the curse of the lazy hound dog blues
I tell myself tomorrow I will look for a job
Gotta clean myself up, no one will hire a slob
The alarm goes off I hit the snooze
Not today, I am nagged by those lazy hound dog blues
My wife calls, says she wants to work things out
I try to explain, she begins to shout
She won't listen what's the use
I tell there is a cure for the flu
But how do you shake the lazy hound dog blues

      THE BOW LEGGED GIRL
I took all of your tank tops and your hose and your sox,
and I put them all together in a little brown box.
I put all of your dresses and your shoes in a sack,
and I wrapped it up because I knew you're never coming back.

I took your funky records and your Playgirl magazines
and dropped them in the trash with all your green and purple jeans.
I took the clothes I bundled up and gave them away,
to the Salvation Army, it seems like yesterday.

You never told me you were leaving town,
you never told me you were leaving.
You never told me you were leaving town,
you never told me you were leaving.

I met a wino on the street, she looks just like you,
she wears a see through blouse and she walks bow legged, too.
She sings those funky songs and plays the guitar outa sight,
and she takes a bath in cheap perfume like you did every night.

She still sings about Viet Nam and love we don't show,
guess she doesn't know that Viet Nam was 40 years ago.
She's out protesting every day and carries a sign,
and bites her toenails ev'ry night just like you chewed on mine.

You never told me you were leaving town,
you never told me you were leaving.
You never told me you were leaving town,
you never told me you were leaving.

She has a job but all she'll say, it ain't chopping wood.
And it's funny how her money lasts, and she lives so good.
She bought a brand new car one day, a green Cadillac,
and it's got a bar up in the front and mattress in the back.

I don't know why she thinks she has to work every day,
cause I never had a job I just live on my welfare pay.
She picks her nose and rolls each bugger in a sugar ball,
and just like you used to do, then she eats them all.

You never told me you were leaving town,
you never told me you were leaving.
You never told me you were leaving town,
you never told me you were leaving.

I married her in the park, it seems like yesterday,
and I don't know what I'll do if she doesn't run away.

She brought her uncle home with her from work the other night,
and her uncle and my cousin all got drunk and had a fight.

She got locked in the bedroom with the meter readers dad,
and they had a lot of fun all night, but I felt awful bad.
He took her home with him a while, but she wouldn't stay,
I wish you'd come back home to me, and run her away.

You never told me you were leaving town,
you never told me you were leaving.
You never told me you were leaving town,
you never told me you were leaving.

From a Cowboy heart is born
Poets of the sage & thorn
We speak so all the world might see
The cowboy life, our legacy
Whether in the city raised
Or with the cattle as they grazed
You're transported swiftly back in time
When gathered to hear a cowboy rhyme
To wild & western days now past
Slowing a world which moves so fast
We offer our memories as a gift
hoping that your spirits lift
We are all Cowboy bred & born
Poets of the sage & thorn

If you could read my mind you'd know that I'd never talk
And if I could stretch a mile you'd know that I'd never walk
But I've got to get up to go to work to my nine to five
To keep the pace in this rat race I have to survive
But this minimum wage pay will never help me out Lord
So I need more cause I want more than I can afford

(Channel)
Cause all my friends are driving Benz's and wearing expensive clothes
With bigger houses and finer foods so this is my status in quo

I've got beer money, I've got wine taste
Can you see it in my eyes, its written on my face
Give me this, give me that and I don't want to wait
But I've got beer money, I've got wine taste
And uh~ beer money, and uh~ wine taste
Always make me wanna haste but that leads to waste
So I'm praying for some patience and little more grace
With my~ beer money and my~ wine taste (Chorus)

But my money and my patience's short, the line is long
And when things start looking right in life what's left is wrong
I need extra strength this and I need fast relief that
Someone call western union hurry cause I need some cash
To pay my debts and all my bills, I'm planning to buy a lot
Because I'm always wanting something that I just don't got

(Bridge)
I need designer hats and jeans,
A limousine on the scene
To keep up with the Jones;
I need some precious stones.
I want to be in the spotlight
In restaurants day and night
With the means to these ends nonstop;
I wanna be filthy rich so I can shop.

(Chorus)
