I had a horse named Suzie Haus when I was twenty-one.
I had wanted her since I was seven, the waiting was finally done.
She was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen, in the World up to that day.
And forever in my memory her beauty will continue to stay.
A painted mare with a black mane and tail, then brown over white.
She became the best friend I’d ever have, you might say we were tight.
I fed her every morning, as I talked to her as I cleaned out her stall.
Then every night I did the same, plus cleaned four hooves all.
I brushed her to a shine, I was so proud of her each day.
Then with a saddle, reins, and me…we were on our way.
The stable was near a river, on top a great big bluff.
A dirt road shadowed with trees allowed us to strut our stuff.
As we danced down the road, the lightening bugs rejoiced.
And gentle breezes touched us, giving the leaves their voice.
Then peace would settle round us, as off to trails we would sashay.
This was the stuff that dreams were made of, and I had it every day.
Birds could be heard throughout the woods, the serenade complete.
I saw the river far below, and the sky with clouds of fluff so sweet.
Sometimes we were with others, but most often we were alone.
But it didn’t really matter, for we always knew the way home.
As we turned to go down the bluff, the river urged us to come below.
Deer danced on the land beneath, in the fields a buck and does.
The gentle angle to the floor below, allowed us to mingle in.
They let us close within a few feet, they thought Suzie was a friend.
At the river the blue sky with a reddish sunset had lite everything aglow.
Soon river barges came floating by, and it was quite a show.
Fishermen sat there minding their peace, until the moon began to glow.
The moon twinkling on the river below, was always beautiful and clear.
We’d talk a while, and breathe so deep, the air had a different flavor here.
Once I met a young man looking for inspiration to write a song.
At that time it began to rain so I helped him quickly get where he belonged.
He thanked me profusely, as he made it to his car.
I had helped him save his love, a very beloved old guitar.
From inside his car he played a song he’d written, while he had been there.
I sat upon Suzie beneath a canopy of trees, that sheltered me, I swear.
Finally the rain and song were done, my serenade complete.
Then I rode off back to home, later achieving more memories and gentle treats.

if you can see into the depths of my heart
you would hear it sing the saddest song
for those who have looked for meaning in tragedy
for those have suffered terminally
for i have fallen just like them
i have been forsaken
i've looked into your eyes and i see my own reflection
i see the tears you have cried
i know you are alone and afraid
your innocence betrayed
but look into these eyes
i have struggled and suffered just like you
grab my hand you'll no longer be alone
just think this through
for i have fallen just like you
let's stop this trend of sinking
for we are not alone
together we can break this threshold
locked in this embrace
together we will not break
bound together by something stronger than super glue
will you think this through?
will you realize that i'm just like you?
just look into this heart
don't let this world tear us apart
for i have suffered just like you
together we shall never fall
nothing can push our backs up against a wall
we will break through!
believe in me! i believe in you!

We took no notice of a sky turned gray And the change of brooding gloom The autumn rain had tiptoed in We almost missed it's coming, but for leaves That murmured quick surprise along the eaves And tapped excitement on the window-pane But having heard, we left our cozy place And stepped outdoors to smell the air To feel the slope of rain upon the face And could even hear the rustling trees Dripping wet with sheer delight Gratefully welcoming tap-dance songs Of raindrops in the night

I heard the rain coming down and thought of a different time…
Wondered if it was you crying across your world to mine…

Now I try to fall asleep with a picture of another day…
Dreams encircle my mind in their own cruel way…

Morning came and the rain had stopped, did it mean there was a smile…
I walked through the day looking to the sky if only for a while…

We made choices that were for the best but still we remember…
The past fell through the door like summer to September…

I lay my head in a peaceful place and I wish the same for you…
The rain will never be the same from where we came through…

I see you in the sky and you hear me in a song…
Pages turned and credits ran over coming right and wrong…

A Folk Song of India My Video Song is also on You Tube Background Note: Its a story of a worried Farmer as his fields were dry because of no rains & the season of planting Rice was passing fast. His eyes were full of tears while thinking, what he would eat & earn if he fails to plant the Rice saplings without good Rains in his fields. The song conveys feelings of an Indian farmer, who often face such situations due to lack of rains. Rains felt pity & flooded his fields or his love for Trees & Nature. Folk Song of India- Farmer, Clouds, Rains and Trees The Farmer was thinking, While sitting near his fields, How, he would plant, The saplings of Dhaan ( Rice). The clouds keep coming, But fly away and vanish soon, There are hardly few trees in the forest, Who can call and attract the clouds. To tell the clouds, The miseries of the farmer, As, clouds never overlook, The wishes of their beloved trees. But the trees could not convey and tell, The tortures and pains, they have suffered, One by one they have been cut and burned, By none other than their own nursing Man. Because of this only , The clouds often do not come, And run away without showering, When they see such humans. The Farmer was thinking, While sitting near his fields, How without rains he would plant, The saplings of Dhaan ( Rice). But that old farmer, Had planted many many trees, Thinking that the clouds, Came down on the ground. The eyes of the old farmer, Were wet and restless, Tears were appearing and were, Coming out, every now and then. The clouds hovering on the fields, Saw tears in his eyes, While wiping his tears, The clouds too began to weep. Then, it began to rain all over, And the fields got flooded soon, The old farmer raised his head, And saw towards the sky. After seeing all around, The fields flooded with water, The farmer with gratitude, Again & again touched the Rain clouds. Tears started flowing from his eyes, With happiness, And the clouds again showered more rains, To wipe the tears from the eyes of the old farmer. Then the time came to plant, The saplings of Dhaan (Rice), Without forests and their darling trees, Clouds hardly showers their love drops. The Farmer was thinking, While sitting near the fields, He would again plant, Many more and more tree this time. Drip drop
titter tatter
hear the raindrops
pitter patter
falling faster
growing fatter
hit the ground
splash and splatter.

Prattle tattle
swish and swizzle
hear them make
the sidewalk sizzle
pitter pitter
drip and drizzle
falling softer
start to fizzle.

Drip drip drip
they tap the pane
drip drip drop
they start to wane
rush gush
the gutters drain
hear the music
of the rain.

Thunder echoes through the night
rumbles slightly…
Lightning flashes its bolt of light
ever lightly…
Rain on; rain on, life reigns on
till dawn; till dawn
till the break of dawn…
Love moves on
freeing the passages to my heart…

The winding passage to my heart
Stores the secrets to our love
Love exists in no other part
When it is you I’m thinking of

Thunder echoes through the night
rumbles slightly…
Lightning flashes its bolt of light
ever lightly…
Kisses rest tender on my lips
so sweetly…
Caresses soft across my hips
Love moves on
freeing the passages to my heart…

The winding passage to my heart
Stores the secrets to our love
Love exists in no other part
When it is you I’m thinking of

Thunder echoes through the night
rumbles slightly…
Lightning flashes its bolt of light

Any teardrops that I can borrow?
In those Spanish eyes of yours
In those big brown Spanish eyes
of yours
Senorita Sorrow
Can you run away with me tomorrow?
We can chase our dreams around
And make love
And start wars
In those Spanish eyes of yours
In those big brown Spanish eyes
of yours
You have never lived
It's very hard to explain
I got lost in Senorita Sorrow
somewhere in San Sebastian, Spain
somewhere in her Spanish eyes
somewhere in the Spanish rain
We had the time of our lives
But she cried there on the train
She couldn't hold back the pain
She knew there was no tomorrow
My Sweet Senorita Sorrow
As she stepped out into the
Mid-September Spanish Rain

A short poetry of Parascending by Mrs.Madhavi.Suyog.Pagare

                                                Aviated parachute

Parachute parachute you flying so high.
Like an eagle you swing in the sky.
 Flourishingly Waving in an air.
Your skill astonished me, Take me away !

A play of lustrous rainbow colour.
 Cascaded by a Blushing rain.
 Sensing the rhythm, flower‘s crimsoned.
Making me feel excited, Take me away !

Inspiring me as you without wings swiftly aviate.
Fortunately you have a flying glance at this amazed beauty of the earth.
Give me one chance some another day.
Move me away, Take me away !

People will greet me, when myself Joe will be lime lighting in the sky.
Viewing the artistic magnifying creativity, beautified by arduous earthborn
 mortalizing persona‘s.
my itchy feet, move me away, Take me away !

screaking high, conveying regards to almighty and pray for celestial peace.
Ohhh my spice jet please take me high.
For the god‘s sake make me fly.
Take me away or else I will die !

"Love rain down on me..."
she bellows sweetly
I drink her soul through
the sounds
Letting me into her universe
dripping with love, food, imagery
a beautiful symphony of words
"Slowly, surely, I walked away from..."
the thought of turning my cd off
Jazz seeping through my pores
melting me like chocolate in hand
'I understand what you sayin' girl!!!'
Moving feet with every beat
"Love rain down on me..."

Author's Note: Some of the words in this piece are from actual songs. Jill Scott
has been a tremendous influence in my poetry. Her music and words are
constant companions. Much respect to her.

(Metrical form of writing worthily represented here in this poem composed by Giorgio Venetopoulos, had remained unpublished.)

The maiden's form diffuses neath the rain
and beautiful she steps around the sage
The mists embrace her dream on this domain
and vernal age.

The autumn raindrops fall, forever thin
They sing the maiden's song that lingers high
She fled to college winters that akin
have gone awry.

She fled above the plains where women sing
The heartfelt painful songs of love that stings
The iron bells of Sunday callings ring
for queens and kings.

Above the castle's walls the coldness casts
and dancing snowflakes fly to years before
where trees saluted his departing masts,
for e'er ashore.

Forsooth her shape outlined above the field
Where flowers blossomed in the air and smiled
The quiet dusk her heart sedately healed
descending mild.

Across their Summer lay the swaths of scythe
the mowing ended and a wedding song
two wraiths recite, thus on the wheatfield lithe
for e'er belong.

The dryness of the land
reminds me of my lost dreams
the ones that could
not find their ways
in droughtful seasons
the whistling of dry leafless
trees blown by a sharp wind
is a song of sadness to me
a song which tells a story
that my tongue will not pronounce
for my tears will refuse
to remain calm in the eyes
But when the rain falls
i feel deep down inside
a wave of fresh inspirations
sweeping through
and a new song of hapiness
telling a story
of a great, joy filled future

One light clap
Then boom, boom
Wind, rain, storm

Willow threw her head back and laughed as the wind whipped her hair
Large raindrops then faster, smaller and plentiful
All the earth was singing praises, the song of the ages, all the earth sang praise

Delighted at the wind~ going out under the eves of the house
Breathing in the moist air, enjoying the zephyr blowing
I was singing praises, the song of the ages, I was singing praises

Two months since we had any rain to amount to much
All was dry, the plants and trees were hurting, the garden needed rain
Those irrigating hoses just don't bless the earth like rain

The clouds linger the moist air floats about
Birds of the air are quiet relishing each moment
Thanksgiving today for God watered for me

You played me like a violin
I can't believe I fell again
But clouds revealed the moon, and I was taken
Your eyes were closed
Your words were spare
You ran your fingers through my hair
But from your whispered breath, dark lies were spoken,
The moon betrayed me, .......a storm is waking.......
Have you betrayed me? world is shaking.......

Those empty words that still resound
pound in my head and I have found
Your love was like a tunnel going nowhere -
I crossed a bridge
And took a risk,
I fell right in,
But couldn't swim
The drowning rush surrounds me like a river

I dived right in it........I can't deny it
I would survive cry a river

You came to me without a plan
I should have known that it would end
The echo of the thunder tried to warn me

A distant voice
Inside my head
A cloud appeared with laden air
And pulled me where the heart's a frozen ember

I see the lightning...... I am frightened
I hear the plunder.... a distant thunder

I hear it now, the pouring rain
It beats against the window pane
And now the chill just sends a quiver through me

Storms only come
When I'm alone
Torrential songs are drowning me
A broken heart can't stop the rain from coming in

When vows were spoken, a sun was shining.......
But I heard thunder, .... and you denied it

And truth came pouring down upon my head

On the ecliptic of your symphony--

in a fury of verbal commotion,
where the delivery becomes creation...

where a simple sigh becomes emotion.

There is a new melodic resolution
taking on the new delivery.
There are new songs of revolution
since the evolution of MTV.

There is a waterfall of light
that falls like astral rain,
a sight to see in immortal admiration,
you'd love to see again and again.

It's my transcendental opus,
I sure hope that you'll come along...
May your world of fear suddenly disappear--

I really hope you will sing along.

Listen for me in the rain -
The rhythm never changes
The music stays the same
Listen for me in the rain -
It's as constant as the sunrise
The panacea for your pain

If I'm gone and you're weary
If your tears are cried in vain
If you need to know I love you ...

Throw wide your windows to the storm
And listen for me singing in the rain.

Listen for me in the rain -
A soft and certain cadence
A temperate refrain
Listen for me in the rain -
The fluid flow of harmony
The pattern unrestrained

If I've left and you're hurting
If your heart is sore again
If you need to know I'm near you ...

Just turn your face up to the sky
And listen for my voice within the rain.

Listen for me in the rain -
The movement of the water, sweet
As droplets fall arranged
Listen for me in the rain -
The gentle running metre
Its patter on the panes

If you and I are parted
          If your sorrows still remain
If you need to know I love you ...

Just turn off all the sounds of life
And listen for my song inside the rain

Listen for me in the rain -
Nature's soothing melody
The atmospheric strain
Listen for me in the rain -
A wash of heaven's teardrops
As swollen clouds complain

If I'm no longer with you
If you need me to explain
If I need to reassure you ...

Just remember all the life it brings
                    Feeding rivers, lakes and springs
                    Remember you're my everything ...

And listen for me singing in the rain
The rain and I will always sing ...

                    Your name.

It’s lonely a cold night of rain
And I compose me a piece
From the pattering of drops
On the steel roof
With claps of thunderbolt
And swish of the wind

Of somebody next door who
Left somebody alone song!

The tap of my feet accord
With the crack of my teeth
When there’s no one beside
To drown my heart away
 A sonorous serenade
I croon into allegretto
A mellifluous drone in heart
So sad and drear
Of somebody next door who
Left somebody alone song!

Chime me you night crickets
And buzzing beetle
A piece in the cold night rain
To hype the heartbeat tempo
To wash the slumbering eyes
And feel forlorn at home
From the wailing pine
In the rush of wind
In that dark cold night rain

Of somebody next door who
Left somebody alone song!

               On Open Field

Giant oak consumes the landscape girth
Tears come down, gain momentum, form as rain
Sun beams and wind twist it into bands that land
Strike each leaf and branch with spring like action
Between each drop of water and speck of light
There is a story to be told
Grass abounds out there about the tree
Expands for miles to horizons deep in green
Drinks in the sun beams, wind and rain
Nourished and serine
Sings underneath the giant tree
On open field

I live in this cell with my self-hatred
How I was raised makes me feel so isolated
These are not my thoughts or feelings for that matter
But I still feel as if I’m an ugly house that will never flatter

Even if you were to fix me
I’d still have some screws loose
I’d rather you knock me down
And tighten up my noose
Because my personality is too obtuse….
For you to understand

Until then, I’ll wait in the gallows
Waving my right hand
Trying to find a way out
Because I can’t tie a noose like you can…

It’s depressing to think that I possess this body that I can’t stand
Everyone that I love and meet will never truly know who I am
Because the face that I show is a total scam

So, For the time being I’m stuck in this body

This mind...

This soul...

I’ll forever be tortured in this blood stained hell hole.

we grew up in a desert town
trouble, scrub, and dust were all that we found
tumbleweed hearts, roll across the plain
we never even knew the other shared the same pain
she had hers', and i had mine
we knew about 'em all, every single fall...god we were blind
we took our hands, and gave our hearts
we never could've seen what the future was to bring, broken shards

when is it gonna rain and take the blue from my sky
lovin' you's been joy and pain, glad to be here for the ride
oh tonight, we're keepin' 'er east til the break of dawn
oh tonight, taste you in the air, wish it'd go on and on

everything's fine, a bit too still
calm before the storm, in silence you were warned, now take your pill
it fills your ears, and blinds your eyes
there's not a lot to say, ain't changin' yesterday, ain't changin' sides
then the surge, it rushes in
carving out a hole, takin' a toll, taken again
it left you blind, to stagger alone
left you in the deep, a rescue out of reach, on a sky of roan

all this sun makes me afraid, there's got to be storms sometimes
where there's light, there'll be shade, you know there's nowhere to hide
oh tonight, speedin' along, singin' our song, well upon our way
oh tonight, we need to be strong, rightin' the wrong, in all we do and say

oh tonight, we'll see it through, a morning of blue, to another day

On the cool afternoon of a Fall day,
sunshine is replaced with hail clouds,
then the icy rain begins to fall on grass
making the parched robins fly away.

A foggy window with clear raindrops is like
thin, sweaty glasses filled with hard ice;
all one can see is only that solitary tree,
not the misty shore hiding the troubled sea.

Even the black lampposts seem ghostly spires,
while the crystallized raindrops send off gleams;
they are small compared to the huge hail balls
that are hurled to earth and stick on the wet roads.

The chill of the Autumn rain is felt in the shivering bones,
towards home the clearing sky changes its darkening tones;
and opening all windows to the crisp air, I hear a tenor voice.
O soul, breathe in the sweet aroma of the jasmines while I rejoice!

Raindrops making music
Beating on the lovers` heads

Singing a melody of love
Soothing and sinking into their hearts

Wafting across the vastness of their chests
Making them vibrate with amazing cravings

Their heads basking in the sunshine
Of the present and the future of togetherness

Come O rain come, throw your showers
On this part of earth and do not run
All the simple inhabitants of our villages, towns and cities
Are waiting for you with tears in their eyes
Come O rain come, throw your showers sublime
On fields, soil, animals, trees and birds flying

Even the trees and birds, animals and herds, Human and insects
All are gloomy and sad, with rankles on foreheads
With worries on their faces, as their hopes are getting buried
Without a shower to wipe their rolling tears from eyes
Come O rain come, throw your showers
On this part of earth and do not run

I know, why you are offended and not listening our prayer
But the animals and birds, our simple villagers, animal herds
Even fields drying up in excessive heat do not know
Why you are offended and not listening their prayers
Oh pardon them as they do not know
The misdeeds of those, who are spreading cities
And are cutting trees, forest and are eliminating fields
In the name of modern living
They go on spreading cities after cities
And industries after industries
These less blessed species of humans, do not want to know
The priceless value of mother earth
And the value of each drop of water and rain
Which comes due to green mountains and glaciers
Trees and plants, fields and ponds,
Lakes and rivers, they all are the
Darling children of the God of Rains.

To appease you O God of Rains
We are making our prayers with folded hands
You are and you were always our dearest
O God of Rains, on you we have offered our prayers
And have offered since ages our songs and lyrics
And even our heart and souls
Come O rain come, throw your showers
On this part of earth and do not run
The soil of earth and air also is boiling with heat
The birds and animals and all living creatures
Are waiting with their tired eyes on sky
To search a piece of clouds, which can extinguish their fire
With showers on their fields, plants and trees
Bless them O God of Rains, with your sublime drops of rains

Written on 24th June 09 originally in Hindi as a prayer Song
When draught like conditions were seen in a part of my state.
Translated in English with changes and some additions on 5th Dec.09
Incidentally God heard the prayer of someone and
From June end onwards God of Rains blessed us with good Rains.

Boom boom tap.
Boom boom tap.
Boom boom tap.
Holy. Freaking. Crap.

Here come the snare drums,
With the bass drums,
And the cymbals,
The band follows.

I have a secret.
Everyone knows it.
And I don't know about,
If I can contain this shout.

And I don't know,
If I can take it anymore.

I got that drum beat.
Not just in my feet,
But in my heart.
But it's just too hard.
This girl's got her drum beat.
She can take the heat.
But when it comes to love,
She's... Down to drugs.
But not those kind where,
You can feel fear.
It's already there.

Tap tap tap.
The marching band's coming.
You better start moving.

They don't stop.
All of them just stomp- stomp- stooooomp.

I got that drum beat.
Not just in my feet,
But in my heart.
But it's just too hard.
This girl's got her drum beat.
She can take the heat.
But when it comes to love,
She's... Down to drugs.
But not those kind where,
You can feel fear.
It's already there.

This song probably makes,
No sense.
But there's really no,
Deep meaning.

These are the facts...
Literally everyone goes,
Crap, crap, crap.

I got that drum beat.
Not just in my feet,
But in my heart.
But it's just too hard.
This girl's got her drum beat.
She can take the heat.
But when it comes to love,
She's... Down to drugs.
But not those kind where,
You can feel fear.
It's already there.

Zoom zoom zoom.
Zoom te zoom zoom.
My heart goes boom boom.
But you just see it through.
Like it's a clear,
Drum beat.

I walk through the field of green
My feet are bare and the grass squishes underneath me
The rain is falling like little pebbles soaking me in beauty
I breathe in deep letting its sweet scent fill my nose
Suddenly my feet are moving in a circle
I am dancing, dancing with love and hope
Love for the rain and its beauty
Hoping this moment will last a lifetime

My summer dress flowing in the wind
Until it’s sprinkled with tears from heaven
I can’t imagine anything greater than this
I have fallen in love with this day
This moment means only the world to me
The burning yellow sun peaks out of the clouds
Shinning down on me with its warmth
The drops ping against my face leaving a stream
I am still dancing in a circle now waving my arms in the air
The song of nature sings to me in the wind
It sounds like a dozen wooden flutes
The tune is sweet so sweet I get swept away in it
The grass is so green like emeralds from God
I fall from dancing and roll down the grass
The whole time I am laughing and it sounds as if the butterflies are too
My pretty white dress is now green
Butterflies dozens of them are flying around me
They surround me in their array of magical colors
They start to hum to the song of nature sung by the wind
It seems as if this tune is from heaven
I start to hum along to this wonderful tune it seems so familiar
I close my eyes and start to dance all over
	Letting nature take me away
Birds come and tweet along to the song
I don’t think I just do, I go along with the song

Finally the sun peaks all the way out
I can see it warming up the earth with its warm rays
The rain is still coming down just sprinkling over
I can see ahead a field of daises beautiful white daises
I run as fast as I can to the daises the butterflies and birds follow
They are soft like silk, their smell fills my nose
I close my eyes and run through the endless field of daises
I lay down and watch the fluffy white clouds pass overhead
The sun shinning as bright as ever over the clouds and sky

The sky is baby blue with a little purple
I have never seen a sky so wondrous
It looks so full of possibilities and magic
As I lay there I hear the daises moving in the wind
To the song of nature once again
This I know is beauty at its best
I fall asleep to the tune and awake in clouds
         I am home

Awaken to the of birds chirping; the sound of peace,
All strife has passed and all war has ceased...
A massive tension has been released
Every man, woman, and child out of the belly of the beast
And now they are at the dinner table, ready to feast
All enemies have deceased and that is a cause for celebration
People all over the world shouting, "Yes, we made it!"
On the streets there is no more chaos, everyone is flagrant
Everyone has patience and virtue there is no such thing as hatred
No one has to die because of the position in which they've been placed in
Everyone got along and every moment was sacred; no time wasted
Every teenager respected their curfew...
They could safely go to the beach during Spring Break vacation
Every teenager had a father that installed virtues; not just hatred
No child ever had to go through a storm of a
divorce case; it's not blatant
Caught up in the collateral damage; it has been erased
Every kid in school love one another and no on was disgraced
Because of their race, or the place that they stay in; equal locations
No kid starved while rappers are talkin' bout cars and ballin';
Every kid had parents that would hear them when they're calling
No kid every had to dive into a pit of despair because of the color of their
Or the decision or the attraction to a same sex gender
Every single person in the world were kind and they cared
No murders occur on the surface of this turf; nobody was scared
Girls could wear whatever they wanted without feeling so bare
That kid over is not plotting to grab her by the hair; the epitome of fear
Never existed in the hearts of the parents
They don't have to worry about their kids being reckless
No worrying about, "how the hek did he get that neckless)
Every kid had a checklist that didn't consist of getting pregnant
No one had to stay wearing that hairnet because everyone had a return
on an investment
No need for government because everyone had good intentions
There was no need for police and people could smoke weed in the streets
Celebrating life no need for malicious greed
No gang bangers poppin' off on the cops and blockin' shots
With a mother of a twelve year old's body; no glocks...
I'm sorry that I went so long, I gotta a lot
to say and I use these songs
