To find solace from misty tides that curve,
In low beats gently weaving their way
Along the coastline where our town rests:
This aging lake I knew as a girl
Is now draped with crumpled lily pads,
Against night’s advancing shade. I heave…

Yet, the clear music of waves endure
All trespasses from environ's care;
Chanting the legends of time's folklore
Much like a rhapsody warbling stories
Passed from one era to the next:
This water- bend filled with salt of love, death
As I listen to its undulated psalms---
Still beautiful in a wilting habitat,
Knowing my lake resides in my inner world.

Oblivious of the time and the few swimmers around me,
I lay sprawled on the soft sand underneath a colored umbrella,
Enjoying the gentle peace and calm of the evening dying sunset.

My friend brought me a large cocktail, much appreciated,
As the sweet salty breeze that wafted towards the lonely beach
Ruffling lightly the wavelets that quietly rolled onto the smooth sand.

Far away, the sparkling sea shimmered silently as a seagull screeched
And broke momentarily the minute murmur of the departing swimmers.
A slow sibilant whisper echoed from afar, a mermaid’s delight?

It was not so much a luring invitation but an earnest declaration
Of love that came from the dark deep below the dancing billows,
A sweet mysterious song of yearning and forgotten love.

Suddenly all was quiet again, except for the palpitations of my heart.
Incredibly my friend seemed oblivious of the mesmerizing song.
Must be the cocktail, he said as he watched the sun dying
Over the ocean and throwing long shadows behind us.

The storms were strong with the wind fierce and the waves high
Always trying to stay afloat, to not drown and try to learn to fly
Survival became a way of life, to make it through opposing current
While I spoke the truth, they lashed at me, twisting what I meant

It was cold, so cold, many times in the middle of the dark night
When everything good, seemed to be completely out of sight
Then one day when the sun did rise, he suddenly came along
I could hear the rhythm of a soothing, comforting, distant song

The waters calmed like a mirror of glass, I could see reflections
It had been so long and I didn’t have the usual objections
It was different as the scenery slowly evolved and changed
As I adapted to new things and my thoughts were rearranged

Although without wings, I was flying, but no longer alone
Across the sphere of clear skies, where the wind had blown

Our garden perimeters
are hung with notes
A thrush sings its morning songs.

No other of its kind dares cross
these musical borders of trilling notes

Would that we - could defend our boundaries with songs
instead of bombs.

As I lay me
down to sleep
I pray the lord
my soul to take
if I shall die
before I wake
please watch me God
all through the night
and wake me and my loved
ones
at morning light
please help me
become successful
with the endeavors I seek
please send me a soul mate
in which I can keep
everlasting love
passionate heat
please grant me the serenity
to know right from wrong
and be able to lead
by example
strive to overcome
any downfall
please keep my spirit strong
through the issues
that toil in my soul
I aspire for diamonds in life lord
and all around me
I see coal
I aspire to turn things around
for I feel my wishes have fallen
upon deaf ground
my heart has no voice
they struggle to hear my sound
I pray to be taken
away from my daily
battles, that humble
although compared to others
in the world
its not much trouble
to me, I feel
my spirit is caged
and yearns to be free
King of all Kings
in your image, you
made me
you already know
each single step
my individual thought
you divinely bound me
in mothers womb
my existence you sought
bless me with the
chance to be
the person in which
you hoped for me
to soar like an eagle
dipping my talons of success
in life's sea
grant me an optimistic attitude
for that is the key
Amen to Thee

Which road would lead me to heaven?
I've been looking for that road.
Which road would lead me to freedom?
I’ve been a slave since my birth.

Which road would lead me to sanity?
I’m going crazy with all the rules.
Oft voiceless 'neath society's shadow,
it’s time to get out of this life.

My mind's aching, my heart's slowly breaking,
they don’t realize what they are doing.
I can’t bear it all it’s time to get home,
they’re making me a fool I can’t go on.

Which road leads me to that long-lost place?
where everything is love, no trace of hate.
I’ll find it someday, tomorrow maybe,
although they’re blocking my way.

Which road would lead me to laughter?
I’ve been crying all my life.
Take my hand and come with me,
just say the word and we’ll be free.

As a peaceful wind pushed long and free
Simple love had arrived in perfect time
With a song of jubilation rolling pure through the valley
A seed of love took flight in summer winds free

Simple love had arrived in perfect time
As I lay naked upon ancient rocks of graceful light
A seed of love took flight in summer winds free
Gods grace in delicate strokes touched me

As I lay naked upon ancient rocks of graceful light
With a song of jubilation rolling pure through the valley
Gods grace in delicate strokes touched me
As a peaceful wind pushed long and free

I had a horse named Suzie Haus when I was twenty-one.
I had wanted her since I was seven, the waiting was finally done.
She was the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen, in the World up to that day.
And forever in my memory her beauty will continue to stay.
A painted mare with a black mane and tail, then brown over white.
She became the best friend I’d ever have, you might say we were tight.
I fed her every morning, as I talked to her as I cleaned out her stall.
Then every night I did the same, plus cleaned four hooves all.
I brushed her to a shine, I was so proud of her each day.
Then with a saddle, reins, and me…we were on our way.
The stable was near a river, on top a great big bluff.
A dirt road shadowed with trees allowed us to strut our stuff.
As we danced down the road, the lightening bugs rejoiced.
And gentle breezes touched us, giving the leaves their voice.
Then peace would settle round us, as off to trails we would sashay.
This was the stuff that dreams were made of, and I had it every day.
Birds could be heard throughout the woods, the serenade complete.
I saw the river far below, and the sky with clouds of fluff so sweet.
Sometimes we were with others, but most often we were alone.
But it didn’t really matter, for we always knew the way home.
As we turned to go down the bluff, the river urged us to come below.
Deer danced on the land beneath, in the fields a buck and does.
The gentle angle to the floor below, allowed us to mingle in.
They let us close within a few feet, they thought Suzie was a friend.
At the river the blue sky with a reddish sunset had lite everything aglow.
Soon river barges came floating by, and it was quite a show.
Fishermen sat there minding their peace, until the moon began to glow.
The moon twinkling on the river below, was always beautiful and clear.
We’d talk a while, and breathe so deep, the air had a different flavor here.
Once I met a young man looking for inspiration to write a song.
At that time it began to rain so I helped him quickly get where he belonged.
He thanked me profusely, as he made it to his car.
I had helped him save his love, a very beloved old guitar.
From inside his car he played a song he’d written, while he had been there.
I sat upon Suzie beneath a canopy of trees, that sheltered me, I swear.
Finally the rain and song were done, my serenade complete.
Then I rode off back to home, later achieving more memories and gentle treats.

Imagine me as a book covered with dust,
A soul whose warmth for years remained untouched

Letters on every page were ill-defined, unclear
The essence was hidden in an ambiguous fear

Uninterested I was in the societal rigmarole,
Me and my outer self were at opposite poles

Quite hesitant I was to turn to the next page
As I knew it would amount only to stormy rage
Quite concerned I was for my future pages and me,
The so-called bright world appeared shadowy

And in this dusky weather, suddenly the air felt unusual
This didn’t happen in years, the matter truly seemed crucial

I bizarrely felt the warmth of cool welcoming zephyr
My pages drifted, smiled and glinted like a pearl

My dull existence got transfigured into a life full-of-beans
Personified I was into a woman of worth, a woman of means

And now after owning this bag full of happiness,
I started reading the letters carved on me,

This time they were decipherable and defined,
They managed to unite me, my heart and my mind.

I looked around, in quest of the soul who revived me
Who passed by me and set my tangled soul free

Seeing him was out of question, quite hazy he appeared to me,
I could only fantasize him as a cozy breeze over the sea

Now, this breeze could be felt only when you are around me
You… only you and nothing beyond
You… the only one to make my passion profound
You… in your absence too you could be felt around
You … the only one in whom I am found!

 Raped and Molestated in childhood,
   Abused and Misused in pre-adulthood,
Alone and confused they stood; feeling
       like tainted goods.

Let their soul cry, maybe then; they can
  regain their pride.

They gotta let their soul cry

Their darkest secret's they lock away
within, this is why their flesh constantly
feast off sin; and everything in life has a
beginning, but never render an ending.

Let their soul cry, Crying is the only way to
  gain their piece of mind.

One might ask," Why"? Then , I will reply,"
They need to see at least one day filled with
promise rather than pain and see the sun
        without having rain.

They gotta let their soul cry, before their sin
  cause their flesh to die.

I’m tired of you.
Back stabbing me and not keeping it true.
Deceiving and lying
When I caught you, here comes the fake crying
The sad bedroom eyes hiding behind a guilty face
The phony kisses and the warm embrace
What you hide in the dark always come out in the light
Sometimes our secrets we thought we hid is revealed in our own sight
You claimed you loved me
But it’s more like you hate or envy me
If you really don’t love me just let me be
Everyday I tried, believe me I prayed
But I hope you don’t think you’re here to stay
I even loved you when you did not love me
“So why are you still with me?”
So take your shoes and go
Don’t tie up your laces so slow
Remember I gave you love when nobody else would
I even took away your doubts that every man is no good
“Shush don’t say nothing don’t even talk.”
Just take your shoes and walk

If you only knew how i felt about you
You wouldn't treat me like you do
If you love me like you say
Why do we get to arguing everyday
I guess thats the way love goes
No one ever really knows
If you want me,take me
It's the only way you'll get me maybe
I have a lot of things on my mind
But you seem to have me in a bind
That doesn't mean you have me on lock
That just means no one can block
The love i have for you is power
It just don't come and go in a hour
You got some really good i guess you think you do
But only if you knew

Children play, and so they should.
For some, on legs, now made of wood.
As mankind fights, where love once stood.
Do you hear me? Do you hear me?

                        Prophets come, and prophets go.
In boats, they row, against the flow.
To warn, the quick, but we're too slow.
Do you hear me? Do you hear me?

It's time, we learn, from our mistakes.
To be, not one, who instigates.
And come, to know, the higher stakes.
Do you hear me? Do you hear me?

For God, sent down, a working plan.
And spread, the news, throughout the land.
To carry us barefoot through the sand.
Do you hear me? Do you hear me?

Is peace, a state, or just a word?
To be, our fate, it must be heard.
All this hate, is so absurd.
Do you hear me? Do you hear me?

It's not, too late, to bind this wound.
An angel's harp is always tuned.
Just listen and we won't be doomed.
Do you hear me? Do you hear me?

He's asking us to break his bread.
To heed, the words, that must be said.
To feed, our souls, and keep them fed.
Do you hear me? Do you hear me?

Salvation comes to those who care.
A gift, we get, when lives we spare.
Let's all, hold hands, and say this prayer.
Do you hear me? Do you hear me?
Do you hear me? Do you hear me?
                                    Do you hear me?

I once was your Armageddon, your mystic legend
Times we argued, realized it was foolish and grinned
Times we laughed, time is a luxury we do not have
Let us old hands old man
The lady beside you, she sang a beautiful tune
The things we don’t want to lose
The loved ones we hate, similar to the above sons mate
The people we want to please
Those we set a perfect yet fragile image
Only to be later ceased
Precious moments we so desperately want to keep
Shh! You speak as though you’re never coming back
But I will not return, best wishes, Ur angel of sadness
I’m a survivor
I work miracles, I was yours
I was everything and nothing anyone would care for
I am still your Armageddon, your mystic legend
My objectives to make you laugh, smile, and mourn
Your rapture, warriors of eternity, a child lost and torn
Mission suffered massive failure
Let us hold hands this final hour
For your misery is ours
You can say you loved him
You can say you placed no other above him
Despite how it sounds
The individual will everyone around him
Is the loneliest person around
In memory of those whom titled him “Angel of Sadness”

Come and hear the song,
The song of the angels,
As the heavens open.
The split of the sky;
The cascading colors.
As the gates close,
Darkness falls over.
The darkness twinkles,
Twinkles with beautiful lights,
Now come hear the song,
The song of the night.
It sings out in a Capella voice.
Sway to the rhythm,
As you succumb to darkness.
The song plays on and on,
Until the morning fires blaze.

Yesterday my life was full of sin
I had no peace within yesterday,
Yesterday I had no song to sing
I had no joy within yesterday.

But now the Lord has turned my life around
A new song, a new song I've found
He's given me that joy and peace within
He's taken away yesterdays sin.

He's taken away my sin
He can take away your sin.

Globally, miners jubilantly jump for joy
Smiles on the faces of every girl and boy
The grins of a newly opened Xmas toy
Thatcher’s dead.

Trade unionists bounce along the street
Music blaring and the tapping of feet
From nurses to Bobbies still on the beat
Thatcher’s dead.

Street parties announced in the nation
Satan who brought economic inflation
Is deceased, now’s the time for elation
Thatcher’s dead.

Its times like this I’m sad I’m an atheist
And can only shout and wave my fist
And then go to the pub and get pissed
Thatcher’s dead.

Verse 1

I’ve had this dream now for a while,
But the real world’s where I choose to stay,
The time is now for standing up,
To reach out for that brighter day.

Chorus

Unite to lend a hand to those who are in need,
Unite against them, whose souls are consumed by greed,
Unite and lend a hand, and we can change the world,
We’re the ones we’ve been waiting for.

Verse 2

Walking past two souls holding hands,
I see that it’s true love conquers all,
A dreamland where we all sing and dance,
And hands to catch us should we fall.

(Chorus)

Bridge

United, it’s in our hands,
United, it’s how we stand,
United, across all lands.
Empathy, we understand,
Together, it’s how we stand,
Unite with one voice, One Hand.

Your glorious emerald eyes
Glisten in the moonlight
Glisten in the moonlight
Delight dances in the water
I watch it joyfully
You are set free from the cage...
You're like a dove soaring in the sky
You are the rain...
drizzling down in ecstasy
A hint of ecstasy is shown in your reflection...
When you caress me... I'm relieved...
From the stress that forced me in chains
I knew we'd be on the brighter side of tomorrow
We're glistening in the moonlight
I knew we'd become candles in the heavens above us
We're glistening in the moonlight
For a moment, I felt your presence...your radiant with sympathy
I saw at first glance the dark side of you
Tonight, we'll be together and fly through the horizon
We'll watch the sunset say its last goodbye...
We'll wave a greeting at the moon!
We glisten in the moonlight...
What if I was as handsome as the lion...
Roaring with pride and pure courage
What if we were glistening in the moonlight?
Would it bring health to our bones tonight?
Would it make our heart rejoice and overflow with delight?
Would we be able to survive this horrifying plight?
Would we be shimmering like a candlelight?
We're glistening in the moonlight... (6)
Ohh...yeah...ooh yeah...ooh yeahh...
We reach to the stars and hope we can trace a shooting star
I feel the coolness run down my fingers...
We're glistening in the moonlight
You're the dandelions in the fields
You're the gorgeous view that I marvel at everyday
When you kiss me, I live my dreams
We glisten in the moonlight
In a quick moment, I sense a feeling of endless renewal
I roam inside of your illuminating maze
Glow on... sunshine...
Glow on...sunshine...
Glisten in the moonlight...
Listen to the truth and rub it in
You are ravishing like the sunset
But you're ascending while I'm descending
I feel extremely guilty
I wish I could glisten with you in the moonlight
You're glistening in the moonlight (6)
Ohhh yeahh... oohhh yeahh... ohh yeahh
You're glistening in the moonlight (4)
We go our own way
I wish we can glisten like the moon
Glisten like the sun
There's a dream concealed inside of me...
Reveal your light and pour it upon me
You glisten in the appealing moonlight
While I'm subsiding... you're fulfilling your dreams
Of gliding across the horizon
You're independence... keeps on scorching with satisfaction
While I'm below you...
Your emerald green eyes
Stared me down like a hawk...
Your emerald eyes
Gaze down at me genuinely...
I wish we could flee together in reality...
That could be a possibility
To glisten in the moonlight in glee
We were glistening in the moonlight (3)
But that was only a dream...
I'll pray that it turns into a reality
We were glistening in the moonlight
Now, I've misplaced my delight...
Will I ever experience such a brilliant night?

Gazing out upon dusky barren moor,
Where gray grass grasps the air
Finding no purchase but sad allure
Straight stalks elapse their endless despair.

Teased by tales of golden reach
Tricked by gales, whose song they preach.

Redtail’s velvet wings breach the sky,
Maroon lips who kiss the grass
Stirring the song, its desperate sigh
Catching the words, her beak of crystal glass

Behind her, midnight shadow draws
Fells her beauty with unseen charcoal paws

Scarlet tears dampen the earth below
Nurture the roots held by dusty truth
Finally, the wind, gray grass’ will bestow
The hawk once, now the fountain of youth.

Litany of silence reigns in dusky glare,
Each blade bowed in mournful prayer.

It is strange
how things that we see
and take for granted
in everyday life
should suddenly instil
in our minds
a new awareness
of their presence

A silent moment
a brief pause
from life's ever quickening pace
a moment of peace -
in times like these
a common thing
like a dried old tree
becomes alive with beauty

It stands like a quiet sentinel
who has witnessed
many an event
through time
Time has passed by
but it remains
silently standing there
O Tree!
What secrets do you store
in your noble branches?
How many events have you recorded
that man knows nothing of?

In your younger days
when you wore your mantle of green
you nested the carefree birds
to their offspring
you gave protection
When the sun scorched the earth
you gave them cool shade
On a cool windy night
you gave them warmth
How pleasant was their song
to your ear
as they sang a song of thanks
to you

You were a playmate to the children
When they romped at your feet
or climbed on your branches
you smiled
Time grew older
and the children became lovers
You saw them kiss in your shade
soft with the light of the moon
The aura of their love
touched your leaves
and you blushed

Today
they have all gone away
but you still remain
silent sentinel
still waiting and watching
How many untold events
have you witnessed
faithful keeper of secrets?

O that my soul could commune with you
and share of your rugged beauty!
Most Noble Tree!
forgive me for my
once-waxen eyes

"Where You Belong"

There's nothing like knowing just where you belong
after what seems a lifetime of getting it wrong.
Suddenly all of the questions that matter
are answered inside and the doubt seems to scatter.

A peace gently falls, caressing your soul
and all that seemed broken is comfortably whole.
The clamor of cluttered thoughts plaguing your mind,
silently windswept and distant behind.

"What if I'm settling?"
"Should I hold out?"
"How could this be right if my mind's filled with doubt?"
The epiphany comes when you find what you need
is hidden inside the one voice you should heed.

A soft quiet whisper that comes from the heart
still guarding your truth while your world falls apart.
It might come through prayer or the words of a song
when your heart leads you home to the place you belong.

We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun

A gleaming sunrise is seen in the distance – shedding relief
Bursting forth like fireworks in the dark blue sky
Hues of beauty and sincerity washes away our grief
The cheery clouds come together like lovers embracing one another

I’m never waving goodbye

It’s so surreal… and magnificent to see this scene unfold
You lift up the sparkling light… you’re an angel from up above
It’s so vibrant – the illuminated sight never dulled
You bring us luck and excitement –

You’re as pleasant as a dove

We welcome the sun
We welcome the love
We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun
To omit the darkness
To abolish the distress
To conceal the darkness
And reveal the halo
Hovering around your head
Burning away the dread
We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun

An ocean of love is rubbing against my feet
Blankets of comfort embrace me now… our love will never dry
You treat us with reverence and I repeat –
You’re as pleasant as a dove – taking wing from on high
We welcome the sun in the morning
We welcome the sun with open arms
We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun

A speedy breeze is whistling in my ears
Spiraling mad like a spinning top
Spiraling mad with all of its might
You’re very intriguing – you casted away our fears
Your gorgeous eyes
Project bright green and blue
You’re special in His sight
He welcomes you
We welcome the hope
We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun
To lighten up your load
And lead you to the mercy road
Where you and I will escape to paradise
To drive out all of the negativity
To conceal the wretched farewells
To reveal the light in goodbye

We welcome the sun
We welcome the sun
We welcome you
With open arms

A Girl and a boy both go to music school.
The boy and girl get an audition for a Record Label.
The both go to the audition and both of them get the chance to go and record there own album.
The audience loved them and all the judges voted for them both to win the audition.
They both go back to there homes in the ghettos of Brooklyn New York City.
The boy was warming up for the Record Label by singing. The girl was also doing the same.
They both take off at the same time from there houses.
They both get on the same train and ride together.
They both see one another and walk up to each other and shaking hands and nodding at each other as a signal to sing in the train in front of everyone.
The boy pulls out a stereo out of his back pack and turns a a song and they begone to sing while all the people on the train looking at them and smiling. even all the gansters and emo's were looking with an aww.
The boy and girl got so into singing together on the train that they got really close and personal, making it look like they were singing to each other.
They touched each other and almost looked like they were about to kiss.
The train stopped and they both stopped singing to each other.
They both got off without saying anything to each other and went there own way's.
The boy met up with his boys and went to the ally to smoke some weed before the recording starts, and the girl went off with her girls to do a touch up on her nails.
Again they start walking to the studio at the same exact time and showing up there at the same time.
The girl gets to the booth first and than comes the boy right behind her.
Than the boy says, "wait am i singing with her"? and the answer was "yes".
The girl was already in the singing booth and the boy and his friends came and started laughing at her in the booth.
The boy got mad and went into the booth to show his boys that she is hella good at singing.
The both stand right next to each other and being hearing a melody comes out from the song No Air, by Chris Brown and Jordan Sparks.
The girl started singing first and the boy followed right after her.
The boys friends had there jaws dropped by the amazing voice that they both make together.
The DJ had a smile on his face and everyone was stunned by the way they sound together.
They both got really into it and started do what they did in the train.
By the end of the song people were crying of what beauty they just heard.

SONG OF THE EVENING

In a lullaby song of the evening.
In the background a cricket sings,
corellas fly past, to their resting tree
high upon silhouette wings.

Red sky widens and covers the west
with half sun glowing and gold,
there’s stark contrast between heaven and earth
as life in a pondage unfold.

Bullfrog! Bullfrog! Clearing your throat,
reed warbler should be going to sleep.
‘Sweet pretty creature,’ call of willy wagtail
and crickets continue to cheep.

In a lullaby song of the evening,
new stars are beginning to shine,
plovers’ static call fills the growing dim sky
and the reed warbler's calling decline.

So when the changeover’s completed,
and day has now turned into night,
these lullaby songs of the evening,
are now hidden well out of sight.

Bullfrog! Bullfrog! Clearing your throat,
and crickets continue to cheep.
‘Sweet pretty creature,’ call of willy wagtail,
the ringtail awake from their sleep.

A red fox is yapping, then a mournful drawl,
the mopoke hoots steady and soft.
Radar pings in flight of the wattled bat
echo with it flying aloft.

A koala growls in the manna gum tops,
a sugar gliders’ stealing its space,
maned geese flying blind from dam to dam
moan ‘gnow’ for the night to embrace.

The lullaby song of the evening is dying,
where hunter and hunted exist,
for the art of survival is simply relying
on mute vigilance in their midst.

Bullfrog! Bullfrog! You are silent now,
reed warbler is sleeping at last.
Plovers’ are quiet, crickets no longer sing
the moon in a stillness drifts past.

           Sugar Christmas
           by Nata Stinson
Sugar Christmas, sugar snow
 Falling down, down below,
 Painting city to the white
Bring me Peace and Light!

For the girl, for the boy
Lot of gifts, lot of joy!
For the Stranger –silver ray,
Bring him home again!

Sugar Christmas, sugar snow
Falling down, down below,
Through the year I will miss
Sugar on your lips...

Sugar Christmas, sugar snow
Falling down, down below,
Painting city to the white
Bring us Peace and Light!

In the dream world where reality becomes a fantasy
And fantasy becomes reality.

The impossible is made possible and death becomes no threat. Mountains turn to a plain ground and are surmountable.

In the dream world I can do the impossible and see the invincible. I can spread my wings, soar and fly through the clouds reaching the altitude of my fortune and destiny.

In the dream world I am unstoppable and unquestionable, conquering all my adversaries. The treasures of this world are at my disposal, kings and kingdoms are my subjects.

In the dream world wishes don’t count but choices are made. That is why I have made the choice to have you as mine forever. In my dream world where there is no pain but gain, no distress but fortress, no cross but crown.

The streets of the Irish north
Separated by faith
Different religions
In our human race

During the troubles
Through the bullets and bombs
Sectarian violence
Engulfed in their wrongs

Soldiers and factions
In wanton maim
Left this proud country
In blood red stain

Years have passed
As the peace accord lives
No more slaughter
Where life was once sieved

Tomorrow, there after
No more feuding campaigns
For the
Belfast Child, sings again

Inspired by the Simple Minds track " Belfast Child " by an excellent Scottish Rock Group
