Sing! Sing your song for all of us to hear!
A song well-sung will brighten any day.
Play! Play that song so full of warmth and cheer!

A sprightly song is always welcome here,
To lighten and to lift those clouds of grey.
Sing! Sing your song for all of us to hear!

The heart is gladdened by a song so dear;
It helps us with our load along the way.
Play! Play that song so full of warmth and cheer!

A happy song can wipe away a tear,
And music is the food of love, they say.
Sing! Sing your song for all of us to hear!

We welcome any willing balladeer
Whose singing can be heard above the fray.
Play! Play that song so full of warmth and cheer!

Keep singing and the sun will reappear.
Our hope still springs eternal, come what may.
Sing! Sing your song for all of us to hear!
Play! Play that song so full of warmth and cheer!

Each morning as my eyes awaken
A lovely song in my heart is heard
Its melody is more than enchanting
It inspires me with amazing words

How could I ever live without you
Lord, why would I ever turn away
From your spirits song of deep love
Which within my heart simply stays

I deeply breathe your perfect harmony
Accepting your kiss of a love divine
Happiness paints my world beautifully
Since your wonderful gift became mine

Lord, I will always let the world know
How truly blessed my life really is
From that very first perfect moment
As you spoke to me the words I forgive

All that I thought would not be possible
Suddenly in an instant became very true
As my heart humbly responded joyfully
How much in life I really needed you

I will seek new ways each morning
To happily lift up your name in praise
Thanking you for making love a reality
As a treasured blessing which now stays.

(Verse 1)
There’s an aching in my back
An my knees are buckling in
My body’s hurt n bruised
friends r’ say ‘n take a step back ‘n relax

got so much on my mind
faster and faster I here myself say
I cant give up when I’m half way through
pure determination drives me hard and true

Never giving up
I can see it now the sun is shine ‘n on me
Never giving up
I’m almost there the inspiration I need

(Verse 2
The devil can try to slow me down
Putting all those boundaries road blocks round
But without a flinch in my face
I’ll jump up move and around
My destiny is calling to me
Got lots to accomplish no time to tire
There’s a sunrise coming up in my face
My dreams are right there I’m following through

(Hook x 2)
Never giving up
been a long time but the sun is shine ‘n on me
Never giving up
I never looked back now I see inspiration in front of me

(Verse 1)

This cannot repeat or loop around anymore, in my direction.
I've had the wind kicked out of my sails, due to depression,
and everyday
I hide away
and I'm not displaying
the fight that I'm saying.
I'm down inside and sink,
I'm more flipping down than you'd think.
Lost for love and lost for laughter,
facing up to my fears always ends in disaster
with anxiety.

So I'm always down and doubting me.
A desert there's a drought in me
while rain downpours are drowning me.
The logic's leaking out of me.
A mist hides the positivity
you find in creativity.

From an infant right up to my last rhyme thinking I can't do s**t
life devours me,
I need to shake that habit,
cus in rhyme my talent's apparent so I won't bow out cowardly.

I'm wasting my worth,
but have a thunderous thirst,
to rediscover some turf.
Watch me now and you'll witness,
as I drift with the surf,
and wet the earth,
of this desert,
as I p**s on the dirt.

You just heard
now watch and observe.

My Music My music is my own personal place to go when seeking refuge from daily stress and strain. My shelter from the tempests and storms encountered in that somewhat frenzied pastime called life. Music soothes the soul and mends those frayed ends! ______________________________ Music video: "When Fate Rolled the Dice" written & performed by Robert Haigh

They didn't ask for pity - they didn't ask for praise!
They didn't ask for medals - or military parade!
They didn't ask for sorrow - when we laid them in their graves!
And they didn't ask to be hero's - but that's what they became,
 When Johnny, came marching home!
When Johnny came marching home that day, "OO-RAH"! "OO-RAH"!
They gave him NO hearty welcome then, "OO-RAH"! "OO-RAH"!
Yes some men did shout and women spat, and the boys with clout, they all turned
They were ALL so brave then, when Johnny came marching home!
But those who spat and the boys with clout did not know what they spoke about,
but they all came out to blame Johnny for marching home!
They all came out to blame Johnny for coming home!
Yes, they were ALL, SO BRAVE, when Johnny came marching home on crutches
with just one leg that day! "OO-RAH" SOLDIER!
We promised we'd take care of them but
Somehow those noble words, like one old soldier said,
Don't die, they just fade away!
Which one of you would have held a dying friend, all through that God-less night,
Bleeding, crying, dying, after a bloody fire-fight,
Trying the best you could to call in a Huey, and get him on a medevac flight at first
light! Which one of you would have pick-up that fallen soldiers gun and just kept
 going on?
Which one of you would have fought again, until the battles won!
Instead we built a wall of stone / for the soldiers who did fall / then carved their
names upon it, and called that welcome home!
They fought for the red, white and blue, all American soldiers, who fought for the
 red, white and YOU!
And a family waits with pride, see, they just got word, only two more days and
he'd be coming home for good. Then at the door, two soldiers stood in the shadow
of twilights glow, it seemed so surreal, but also apropos.
With folded flag, of the stars and stripes in hand, at attention they did stand.
Then, with solemn grace and dignity said the words all families dread!
"On behalf of a grateful nation, he fought the bravest fight"!
But with deepest sympathy, your soldier-son, won't be coming home tonight!
They didn't ask for pity - they didn't ask for praise!
They didn't ask to be hero's - but that's what they became!

The window to my broken past
     Has shattered.
I have walked into the dreams
     That seemed so far away.
The fog has lifted, I have sifted
     Through the things that mattered.
Finding nothing left of yesterday.

'Cause I made room for Jesus in my life.
He helps me with my worries and my strife.
I pray to him each day, for guidance on my way.
Yes, I made room for Jesus in my life.

The cries of loneliness have turned
     To laughter.
The wind has carried me above
     The sea I drifted on.
I live again, he's my best friend.
     There's no more looking after,
The lost an lonely man, for he is gone.
'Cause I reached out for Jesus with my hand.
I knew he'd be the one to understand,
His spirit entered me, I felt so calm and free.
'Cause I reached out for Jesus with my hand.

The road is rocky but he's there
     To listen,
As I move ever closer to
     The love within his heart.
The days are bright, I see the light.
     My eyes begin to glisten,
With the love and faith that Jesus can impart.

Oh, I made room for Jesus, can't you see.
And Jesus, he has lots of room for me.
I pray to him each day, For guidance on my way.
Oh, I made room for Jesus can't you see.

Run like the wind.
On a windy Sunday.
Run like the wind.
As fast as you can.
Don't run for the silver.
It's not your favorite.
Run for the gold.
'Cause you're here to stay..

You've got the power,
and you've got the glory.
You've got the power,
to run this way..

So run like the wind.
On a windy Sunday.
Run like the wind.
On a windy day..

'Cause you've got the power,
and you've got the glory.
You've got the power,
to run this way..

So run like the wind.
On a windy Sunday.
Run like the wind.
As fast as you can..

You take him to your party.
You show him what to do.
You show him, the best time of his life.
You show him that he's no fool.
You find that he's your only man.
He finds the same in you..

It's then you start to fall in love.
'Cause you're the faithful two.
Because you're the faithful two.
Because you're the faithful two.

You tell him he's a miracle man.
You find he's what you need..
The only thing that you desire.
He feels the same for you.
He feels the same for you.

It's then you start to fall in love.
'Cause you're the faithful two.
Because you're the faithful two.
Because you're the faithful two.

You tell him, he has what you need.
He tells you just the same.
You give him everything he wants.
He gives it back to you.
He gives it back to you.

So you carry on.All through the night.
Holding each other tight.
It's then you start to fall in love.
'Cause you're the faithful two.
Because you're the faithful two.

Because you're the faithful two....

Oh well here I go again,
wishin for a dream that I could be wrapped in,
entrapped in,
torn away from addiction,
destroy the tele…
vision they strive to force upon you,
its all false but you know I’m true.
They will not protect you when you scream your broken cries,
they are merely evil faces of masked men behind illuminati eyes
with which they hypnotize,
brainwash you with their lies.
I've got those deep thoughts pouring in,
all the roads I've traveled down
conditions I have traveled in
here in my pretty town,
the 910 deserves a crown.
East Coast I'm representing,
I promise you I am not venting.
High on that purple haze,
And still haven't slept for days,
excuse these bloodshot eyes
with a krispy kreme glaze,
some will try to say its just a silly phase...
My mind is so graphic,
use words like special tactics,
unmistakable like D'Jango,
or a peace signs' angle,
destroy the crave for war and struggle,
no need to explain all the trouble,
with places burstin’ into rubble,
Rebel! Rebel! We’ll show ‘em hell!
I’ll be fightin’ when I'm dead,
kick and scream till my blood is shed,
let authorities know the message will be spread!
Put on a show with a little bit of passion
or the bad things will continue to happen.
Get the love through your head,
all this hatred should be dead,
what I'm saying must be said,
before the gauge goes into red.
With vocabulary this brilliant makes a female more vigilant,
like brothers boston what I speak
my words alone will make you weak, make you faint,
Like blood spilled by hands of a vigilante saint,
trust me lifes too short,
you dont have the time my young cohort,
wait until your words make an enemy
cause their threatened by the uncertainty
that you will make it this far
make a point unlike this war
next thing you know you see ‘em sweat
words fresh like paint drippin with purpose,
makin ‘em wet.
I finger paint a master piece with a just simple rhyme,
just don't pull your piece on me just let me speak, my mind,
while I unwind, rewind all this blasphemy,
continential catastrophe,
I may have to beg and plead so that my boys can rest in peace
sorry for the interruption,
don’t blame me for the corruption,
for now I'll put my words at ease,
hope you told someone you loved them today and that it wasn't a white lie,
just a tease.

The mud slide back in eighty six
Took out half my farm
And the war that lit up 69
Is where I Left one arm

My wife and kids have left me
To part's unknown, somewhere
So I sit here all alone
While losing all my hair

Now you can see, what my attitude should be
But instead of mulling around
I get picked up, when I'm down
As I quote that little phase, that tickles me
"C'est La vie"

My truck was repo-ed yesterday
My dog and cat ran off
My old friends all moved away
And often I feel lost

Now you'll agree, just how happy could I be
When my world has gone to hell
I just get up, where I fell
And whisper those sweet words in ecstasy
"C'est La Vie"

If the song ever stops
Or the music fades away
If the maestro drops his arms
And the band doesn't play
 When the rhyme doesn't listen
And no one hums along
Could you breathe without the freedom of a song
Would the earth cease to spin
Would the ocean cease to swim
If the children couldn't sing
The sonnet of innocent refrain
If something stole your melody
Took away what you could not see
Could you live without the freedom of a song
When the lines wouldn't flow
When the psalmist ceased to know
If the stars in the heavens
Failed to reach the note
Could you listen
Without the freedom of a song
If the harmony went dark
If the North Star missed its mark
And the sun fell out of time
If the moon refused to rise
What would you see without the freedom of a song
If the Red Sea didn't part
Or David never played his harp
Or the temple curtain wasn't torn
Or there was no crown of thorns
Could we have ever sang oh Lord how great Thou art
It's been there all along
The flowing tempo of the song
The universe agrees
One majestic symphony
From a place and time we cannot fathom
Eternity still keeps the beat
I can feel I can taste and I can see
I can hear and I can sing of freedom in the song!

Tears In The Wind

Left hand deftly fingering strings on frets,
While my right hand is picking or strumming.
Composing a sad song about regrets
And searching a melody by humming.
I easily find a chord progression,
Played in a melancholy minor key,
Then add some dynamics for expression--
Reaching a fugue-like state releases me
Fleeting perfection is my endeavor.
Like tears in the wind, now lost forever.

An Ode To LIFE

As I lay my head down and start to fall asleep I see myself being carried off to a place and time the place of our Lords birth in Bethlehem of Judea

As in the Bible tells the story of His life and how he lived and died in that human seance and rose on the day He told of

I do not remember being here but I remember the story I was taught so many years ago

As I walk through the streets of Bethlehem I see each scene and hear every word as I am learning the story they telling is true

The writer writes of a jealous King and his way of dealing with his people and of Mary and Joseph who came to Bethlehem to have a child

The story tells of the three wise men who saw a star in the north and heard of a child who was born to be the King of the Jews and come to see and bring Him gifts

An angel from the Heavens above came to Mary and Joseph in a dream and told them they had to leave Bethlehem or King Herod would have their son killed

So they left Bethlehem and went to Egypt and there they lived until King Herod no longer ruled

As I follow along in my dream I see each scene and hear every word as I am puzzled by the fact I understand each

I don’t understand why I’m going through this time but I know I must continue on this journey

As I am pulling through a time where I reach the place of Jesus’ in Nazareth of Galilee

As I watched Him grow and work in His father's shop I could see the thing in Him that were with me

As I walk along the streets and look around I hear the people talk of a child that speaks of wondrous love that’s all forgiving and of a Father in Heaven that’s loving and true.

When Jesus Reaching Into My Valley
Steve L. Siegel
July, 2015
When my Jesus reaches into my valley
Great things begin to happen when I started to pray,
Amen, amen, amen, amen
The angels had b to start singing
We would all join in for the rest of the day.
Amen, amen, amen, amen
My valley might be filled with troubles
I may be feeling a little low at times,
Amen, amen, amen, amen
But I know that Jesus is right around the corner
When I need Him in the worst of my times.
Amen, amen, amen, amen
The mountain tops might be little higher
Oh, when I see Jesus hand is out reaching
Amen, amen, amen, amen
Into far into my valley floors
Everything is going to be ok and we're singing
Amen, amen, amen, amen
Thought Jesus’s grace I've been reborn,
I'm ready for His mercy to be Stored,
Amen, amen, amen, amen
For your gracefulness has to lifted me
Hand in hand we walk together forever raptured. Singing
Amen, amen, amen, amen
I'll sing it from my mountain tops,
I'm dancing with Him on the valley floors,
Amen, amen, amen, amen
I am racing towards Jesus
We'll both be walking through the open doors.
Amen, amen, amen, amen.
Amen, amen, amen, (amen, < out at the end) (adding Amen, Ha-le- lu- ia Shouting!)

Led down from the tower
Head high and hands bound
Blindfold declined against the wall
Black square pinned to his heart
His eyes afire and shining
And he sang...

He sang of Caruso, Townes Van Zandt
Pavarotti, Bocelli, Mercury,
Carreras, he sang of Antoine,
Of Sinatra, Lennon, Morrison, Redding
He sang and songbirds paused in flight
He sang like them all

He sang a song of himself
Of leaves of grass, of second comings
Of Byron, and Bharti, and Cummings
He sang of Neruda, and Plath, Tagore
Dickinson, Kamala Das and Naidu
Oh, he sang of them all

He sang of art and beauty
Of Mona Lisa and starry nights
Girls in green dresses and pearls
He sang of Van Gogh, of Picasso
Of Rembrandt, da Vinci
He sang of Michelangelo

He sang of sadness, pain
He sang of My Lai, Sand Creek
Of Guernica and Krystallnacht
He cried and sang of Wounded Knee
Of Katyn Forest, Sabra and Shatila
Oh, he wept as he sang

He sang of history and wonders
He sang of Olduvai and pyramids
Machu Picchu, Tikal, and Angkor Wat
He sang of a great wall, the Taj Mahal
Stonehenge, Easter Isle, Mesa Verde
His song took us to them all

He sang of courage
A song of Bunker Hill, Gettysburg
Of the Alamo, Normandy, Stalingrad
Of Lincoln, Guevara and Dr. King
He sang of Bolivar, Bhutto, Ghandi
He shamed us with their song

He sang his song...
As women sighed and peasants cried
He sang until the rifles fired, he died
Songbirds fell from the sky
Soldiers broke their guns on stones
And marched into the deep blue sea.

That birdie was singing a beautiful song
I pretended it was for me
The notes played like a musical flute
Its melody a symphony

I looked around that little bird
Sitting in an evergreen tree
What could make it sing like that?
Was it really singing for me?

Manna fell from heaven
As breadcrumbs found their way
And the birdie sang even louder
It had something it wanted to say

To live in the moment
And appreciate this gift
I look at the birdie
And my soul it does lift

For even heaven knows the birdie
Its every need and care
It worries not for tomorrow
It appreciates the breeze - the air

I want to be the birdie
Singing a beautiful song
Let me remember this moment
May it live ever long

1.) I’m mostly brain-dead nine to five,
But suddenly I come alive
When I have an idea for a song.
For me there is no greater boon
Than putting lyrics to a tune.
I feel like a genius all day long.

2.) Music sends you to foreign place:
Around the world or outer space--
Russia, China, Africa or France.
It can raise you up or take you down
With a major or a minor sound;
Lull you to sleep or make you wanna dance.

3.) Music is so fundamental,
You might say its elemental.
It’s in our cultural identity.
Babies can sing before they talk,
And like to dance before they walk.
Seems it’s hardwired in our circuitry.

4.) We proclaim our liberties
And reverence our dieties,
With our anthems and our sacred hymns.
My hope for ‘eternal glory’
Is a catchy song that tells a story.
For me that is like a priceless gem.

The Nirvana in my universe:
Composing clever rhymes and verse,
And putting them into a melody.
Choosing a scale to fit the words
Helps me find the proper chords--
Turning chaos into harmony.

I have a God given talent
I rejoice but not ever lament
They said it is a wonderful thing
I must do share and sing

Some may or may not listen
Even though as long as I win
Not of fame but of joyous hearts
For so long been gloom and apart

The high and low notes, I'll reach
Tactful enough to be on right pitch
I may swing in a fidget ditch
It's fine as long as I'll not miss

I will tunely swing both my arms
Harmoniously to the music at hand
I may open and close my eyes
To feel each lyrics in vies

It's not only my voice that sings
Also does my heart it rings
Uncaring the people's glances
Displaying this in chosen chances

Solitude (A Quatern, 20140805)

The solitude weighed heavily,
Most especially late at night,
When I had no one close to me--
Meaning no one to hold me tight.

Loneliness sired desperation.
The solitude weighed heavily
Enough to sire inspiration;
Giving birth to my poetry.

In time I made a family
(Both positive and negative).
The solitude weighed heavily,
In the past where I sometimes live.

I got older; life moved along.
Today I still write poetry,
And compose lyrics for each song.
The solitude weighed heavily.

Oh my Lord, Oh my souL
Hear me, Hear this song
Angels will sing along
Hear us, Hear this song

God, You are great
You are my faith
Never, You're late

In every life's door
You are our splendor
To You, we're here for

On the heavens, You stretch
On waters, You don't fret
On winds, You don't fled

We bless Your name
We Glorify Your name
We lift Your name

---------->>> to God always be the glory
I was inspired by Psalm 104: 1-3.. From this, these thoughts sprouted...

My prayer is a song of praise for You, my pen shall pen the greatness of Your grace and write of how Your right hand has led me, Most Holy One, Your glory is my goal, I belong forever my God, to You for You're the sole possessor of my soul. ------------------- 10.7.16

Are you looking for someone to inspire?
Do you fancy being one’s object of desire?
Do you want to be the spark that sets my world on fire?
In other words, would you like to be my Muse?

There’s a vacancy on my pedestal
For someone more divine than terrestrial;
Or someone like you—almost celestial.
How about it—would you like to be my Muse?

You could be the entity that brings out my creativity,
Give nuance and subtlety to the rhymes in my poetry,
And bridge my melody with polyphonic harmony.
You could light the fuse that sparks my art with tints and hues.
Together we could never lose… if you’d only be my Muse.

In return for being my inspiration
You’ll have my devotion and veneration,
And be named in all my dedications.
If you’d be my beloved Muse.

Your mind races when you hear that song
The sun glasses go on
And the volume goes up
Your foot hits the peddle while imagination races for a medal

Maybe its the melody
Or the singer who makes you feel like a winner
Perhaps the words motivate your inner desire
Which pushes you to let lose sets you on fire

Each of us has a trigger
And we want to be that super hero
The kind that everyone looks up to
But to be the inspiration

You gotta be willing to let go of the illusion
To be that speed racer and come up on top
Look in that rear view mirror
Ask yourself so why you in such a rush

But then your ego says a…. man it ain’t no big deal everything’s cool
Your heads bobbing to the beat your hair is flying in the wind
Ya got this view of how everything should be
But deep in your belly ya got this fear and ya shrug it off like everything’s ok

So you continue on your merry way day after day
Then one day maybe five years later you here that voice again
Suddenly all those emotions come rushing back
But this time you say ok I’m ready to listen

And the message is clear so you change the direction
You start to become the inspiration
People start to praise you for your actions
Then one day you meet this young man whom is stuck in his pride

You offer him guidance you tell him the message
He looks up at you and tears fill his eyes
He just kneels down sobbing from all the hurt
You say it’s ok because “Love is the answer”

Well and today I am finally free of the past
no one's gonna tell me what to do anymore
no, everybody can just kiss my ass...
I am like a gypsy just a moving on
I can see a new horizon with the rising
of a new dawn now that the rain, now that
the rain in my heart is gone, my heart has
finally found a new reason for being and
my heart is beating strong with High hopes
high hopes for the future and THIS IS MY
Oh yeah and today Heaven is here
no more crying the blues
no more living my life just trying to
please you, no more hanging my head
in sorrow or worrying about tomorrow
looking, just looking for something to go
wrong oh no, just to know whatever will
be will be can set a person free and so now
I am like a gypsy just a moving on
I can see a new horizon with the rising
of a new dawn now that the rain, now that
the rain in my heart is gone, my heart has
finally found a new reason for being and
my heart is beating strong with High hopes
high hopes for the future and THIS IS MY
