with each crest of a wave
forming white crystal peaks
she weeps, inhales, let's go.

beneath a star studded vista
a resplendent guiding light
arms open, palms up, she is free.

the soothing sea winds
carrying away her grief and sorrow
hands posed in devotion, she smiles.

in a seascape of serenity
her baptism place of choice
she steps forward, her new beginning.

As he slept in tranquil dream,
Suddenly he flew, it seemed.
Thrown and landing on the floor,
Shaking walls and splintered doors.

Just as quick, the room grew still.
Distant tremors he could feel.
Out the door, and up the rock,
There he stood in sleepy shock.

How could oceans disappear.
Then a hissing he could hear
And a trembling, heavy roar
Headed for an empty shore.

Sunrise turned a greenish hue,
As he climbed, a better view.
Seeming far too large, he saw
What must be a water wall.

Thought of ancient stories told
Of a wrath that could unfold;
Sucking oceans with a breath,
Spewing endless waves of death.

Instinct quickly cleared his mind.
Panic now, he clawed and climbed.
Up, despite the screams he hears,
As a village disappears.

Once an evil came to call,
Scooped them up and took them all.
Now he's old, his stories wane,
Of the morning Satan came.

Since you left I seem to drift
Sorrow's current, very swift
Pulling me beyond yesterday's
Searing pain of velvet stingrays.

In this vast deceiving ocean
I drown in waves of emotion.
On the oily ocean floor of life
I try to dodge its knowing knife.

A tropical depression on my mind
In my fragile nakedness I find,
That memories are the true enemy
Deceiving fronds of the anemone.

In hungry oysters I plant the seed
On every sandy thought they feed.
Mother of pearl coating every care
I wear pearls of grief in my hair.

I explore this endangered coral reef
Your bright fishes touch my grief.
Memories in every detailed hue
Remembering the essence of you.

Are you even aware of the burning pain
Of yearning so much to see you again?
In the whirlpools of my mind
Will I ever sweet closure find?

Under rocks I find glistening tears
To keep as semi-precious souvenirs.
Timeless treasures to sustain tomorrow
As I dive into the ocean of sorrow.

The ocean reflected by azure skies
glistens in deeper salubrious shades
enchanting me in a mesmerizing gaze
as the waves heave high and low,
undulating currents courses
distilled into my blue eyes,
giving them a blue sea shade.

A windswept chill recalls many
cold blue lips of drowned bodies
on ships and vessels wrecked at sea.
Blue songs sung to mourn their loss.
Somber souls in sorrow coping,
hoping to lay their loved ones to rest.

Cobalt blue on stained glass windows
in the consecrated Christ’s cathedral
illuminates its mourners in shards of blue.
Officers in blue livery offer reverent respect
at gravesites with flowers in hues of blue.
As twilight’s victory overtakes the sun
shadows fall in somber shades of blue.

I watch the ocean waves from underneath it all.
Deep down.
It's getting harder to breathe.
This water makes its way into my lungs.
You're suffocating me.
Asphyxiation.
Just leave me here, you haven't changed at all.
You fall apart, every time you start.
Just start realizing you can't replace the hole that you put in my heart.
One last breath to say goodbye.
I'll tell myself a final lie.
"I'll make it out alive."
The only thing that can feel this hole is the water that buries me at sea.
It'll feel the void, complete me.
Will I ever feel my limbs again?
Is this the end of my suffering?
I don't feel like waking up.
I can't wake up.
I can't see the sunrise anymore.
I have sunken to the ocean floor.

Leaving the last days of August
memories of the sea waves crashing
Tides that leave shells broken to find ~

        picnic memories ~
                      fireworks night
                             Birthday cakes sparkle ~

sunburns under a sage kissed dessert Moonlight
The Summer reminds us of happier days
scents of coconut oil and lime

reminds us all of what is yet to come ~

              The rain comes down hard
crying for all souls lost and left behind

The birds fly in perfect form
reminding all of the September storm

begging for history not to repeat ~

                 ~ In war
                        no wins
                            only defeat ~

two beams of light straight to the Heavens
stay through the whole month of September
they remind us to listen silently we stand still

For the city lives and breaths left with loss
                    many questions unanswered remain ~

               Leaving behind August
                    entering Septembers fears ~

I love this poem because it reflects on the past and the coming month in remembrance of history that took place September 11th 2001. In a way it is a oxymoron . from passionate summer nights to the fear embraced in the month coming :)

Your glorious emerald eyes
Glisten in the moonlight
Glisten in the moonlight
Delight dances in the water
I watch it joyfully
You are set free from the cage...
You're like a dove soaring in the sky
You are the rain...
drizzling down in ecstasy
A hint of ecstasy is shown in your reflection...
When you caress me... I'm relieved...
From the stress that forced me in chains
I knew we'd be on the brighter side of tomorrow
We're glistening in the moonlight
I knew we'd become candles in the heavens above us
We're glistening in the moonlight
For a moment, I felt your presence...your radiant with sympathy
I saw at first glance the dark side of you
Tonight, we'll be together and fly through the horizon
We'll watch the sunset say its last goodbye...
We'll wave a greeting at the moon!
We glisten in the moonlight...
What if I was as handsome as the lion...
Roaring with pride and pure courage
What if we were glistening in the moonlight?
Would it bring health to our bones tonight?
Would it make our heart rejoice and overflow with delight?
Would we be able to survive this horrifying plight?
Would we be shimmering like a candlelight?
We're glistening in the moonlight... (6)
Ohh...yeah...ooh yeah...ooh yeahh...
We reach to the stars and hope we can trace a shooting star
I feel the coolness run down my fingers...
We're glistening in the moonlight
You're the dandelions in the fields
You're the gorgeous view that I marvel at everyday
When you kiss me, I live my dreams
We glisten in the moonlight
In a quick moment, I sense a feeling of endless renewal
I roam inside of your illuminating maze
Glow on... sunshine...
Glow on...sunshine...
Glisten in the moonlight...
Listen to the truth and rub it in
You are ravishing like the sunset
But you're ascending while I'm descending
I feel extremely guilty
I wish I could glisten with you in the moonlight
You're glistening in the moonlight (6)
Ohhh yeahh... oohhh yeahh... ohh yeahh
You're glistening in the moonlight (4)
We go our own way
I wish we can glisten like the moon
Glisten like the sun
There's a dream concealed inside of me...
Reveal your light and pour it upon me
You glisten in the appealing moonlight
While I'm subsiding... you're fulfilling your dreams
Of gliding across the horizon
You're independence... keeps on scorching with satisfaction
While I'm below you...
Your emerald green eyes
Stared me down like a hawk...
Your emerald eyes
Gaze down at me genuinely...
I wish we could flee together in reality...
That could be a possibility
To glisten in the moonlight in glee
We were glistening in the moonlight (3)
But that was only a dream...
I'll pray that it turns into a reality
We were glistening in the moonlight
Now, I've misplaced my delight...
Will I ever experience such a brilliant night?

The Beach of Promises

1.

Fingers entwined, barely touching,
turquoise waters teasing your dancing toes,

strolling along that serene deserted beach,
our promised dreams within aching reach.

2.

Hands clasped, holding on,
sea-breezes tickling the nape of your neck,

walking together, alone, vowing to never breach,
the dreams dreamed on that faraway velvet beach.

3.

Hands in my pockets, alone,
traces of you linger, teasing,

lost in my scribbles, your memory fading out of reach,

my thoughts ablaze, now and then,
catching a whiff of your fragrance,

wafting through alleyways of nostalgia,
your hand in mine on our pristine beach.

I sailed unaware into
the ocean currents
of her life:
and

smitten, I
desired to ride

them with her;
somewhere
along
the ocean ways, a

seed of love

planted in the soil of
my heart had taken root
and grew--only to perish
like

a young hope

that's fleeting:
though I loved her,
she

still wounded
me

like a careless
knife.

In spite of
this and myself,
I looked

for encouragement
in her stare;
and

at the outlines
of her graceful
form

I did wonder:
she was

indeed

a Helen of Troy, a prize,
on whose loveliness
I

so richly gorged!

But never was
a lonely man
more wretched
than

I was,

as she could
not return my
affections

with equal measure of feeling.

I would be more
glad had she been
unwedded to another,
and

could easily be within
my desirous
and
jealous

orbit!

In time, I
never

saw
her again;

and love, or the
appearance of it--like
an aborted

fetus

flushed down the
toilet--died

with her parting
as well!

An old man looking out his door,
gaze fixed on a distant shore,
reminiscing to a time, not of happiness,
or, the prospect of a bright future,
to when he was sick to his very core,
to when as a youth, he went to war

A time before infallibility had meaning,
patriotism and bravado the craze,
the future was still unknown,
vigor for life at its all time high,
a time for romance, partying, buying,
no thought of pain, deformity, dying

Too young to understand or question,
ship to foreign shore, medals abound,
will impress the girls next time in town,
sacrifice not temporary,
forever more,
a legacy etched into a wall, few will remember,
flesh shredded, burned, torn,
families mourn

A time, when he willingly went to war,
will happen no more,
all lost in youth, now unrelenting,
no blind obedience,
minimal risk,
long life, his number one ambition

As he turns back from the door,
he thinks of the youth,
here now, soon no more,
lessons never learned,
the call to war,
to common the roar,
complacency the mood,
another generation removed

The old man agonizes
over what was originally not known,
war is preventable,
life too precious to waste,
the solution simple,
his vision, maybe too late

Send old men to the front to fight,
arthritis, heart disease, poor eyesight,
let the youth enjoy their life,
his near over, its only right

Send old men, to the front, to fight
ask them to give up their life,
patriotism and bravado, still alive,
will and desire would not last the night,
old men do not rush to death in their twilight,
failure inevitable, the old man smiles,
knows he's right

Wars not possible,
if old men, are sent to fight

There's this girl that I know who misses her home
The place filled with laughter, her joy, and her hope.
This girl, she is sad, and I've seen her heart break.
She just doesn't belong here, and she doesn't want to stay.

When she's at the beach she just sits and she stares
Across the water to who knows where.
The ocean is the one place she has found on this Earth
That fills her with any kind of peace and hope.
Though still she is sad, she's not where she belongs,
But at least at the ocean the fierce homesickness calms.

She'll walk down the beach and look out at the water,
Totally uncaring of those who might watch her.
She knows she's not normal, that she isn't like them.
But she knows that they cold never understand.

This girl that I speak of, how I know her well. Yet at the same time I hardly know her at all.
It seems to me as I walk down that beach that
I'm never gonna know of who I truly speak.
Because as long as I'm here, so far from my home, my heart, my pain there, my hope,
I am only half here.
I am only half home.
And all that I want....I just want to go home.

Columns and Ranks (20140925)

Standing straight in columns and ranks,
Heads newly shaved by the barber,
Carrying guns loaded with blanks:
New recruits after Pearl Harbor.

The Generals inspected troops,
Standing straight in columns and ranks;
Afterwards they broke into groups,
And marched towards the ships’ gangplanks.

They boarded ships with guns and tanks
To England, the Atlantic crossed.
Standing straight in columns and ranks,
They’d free Europe at any cost.

Allied troops endured dire losses;
Gaining a foothold up the banks.
Heroes sleep beneath the crosses
Standing straight in columns and ranks.

A storm torn boat thrashed on the ocean waves
As gales of wind knocked out their lanterns’ glow.
A frantic captain yelled “all hands on deck!”
Then watched as sails tore free; they’d moved too slow.

Brave as a lion, captain steered their course
Though jagged rocks scraped ‘gainst the hull with force.
The seamen battled through the dark of night
Until the seas grew calm at morning’s light.

They stood in silence, those that still remained
And bowed their heads for mates who’d met their fate.
Time and eternity told tales of mighty seas
That claimed the brave, then crushed their ships with ease.

Flying airships battling in the open sky,
the sailors trying to save their own lives,
and all the panoplies of war revealed in broad daylight
 unto the human psyche.

The cosmos composed wholly of oceans with no dry soil in sight
contains many micro planetary islands that glide
in the sky's atmosphere where men created their different ways of life.
Herdsmen hunted on the island's green fields and forests.
Soldiers worked in their iron workshops.Crystalline lakes displayed nature's beauty. Many a gorgeous a creature of nature they captured in their nets.

Stratigos,a hunter, also loved to fish in the clear streams abundant with eels. His dear friends followed him throughout the biome, witnessing many wonderful sights
such as tigers, trees, eagles and pollinating bees, the lioness giving suckle to her young, and many a mythical creature that defies explanation."
Raised he was in a quaint village,in whose verdant plains he played with all his pals. His female friends gathered many rainbow-colored flowers by whose sight and smell were made ecstatic.

Upon a certain day,a flying chimera snatched his friend Mike with its aquiline talons that tear apart its prey. The lion-like chimera with an eagle head concealed him in his cavern hideout, unseen by human eyes.
He analyzed his body and psyche to see what was worthy to eat. In despair Mike's cries for help resounded through the cavern walls. He heard his own echo.

From afar his friends were dashing to his aid through the dense vegetation with thorns drawing upon their blood. Red it was, stained upon their drapery.
They complained not at their pain for their aim was to aid their endangered friend.

Stratigos exclaimed;
With Mike in danger,
surely we must not fail him,
For friendly fidelity
Faces us with the task
of his salvation.

Alina replied
Through the mud and sun that scorches our way
We must pick a path and dash as fast as trotting stallions
for our cause is noble and pure,
so Therefore let us not be wasteful with our pace.

And they arrived upon a green moss covered road that drove Them to a grotto surrounding the creature's cavern.

Don’t say it’s all over (cause it’s not)
“Sorry” won’t cover it…so don’t go on your knees and pray for my forgiveness
Oh baby…don’t listen to the commotion…I’m done taking cover (it’s all for naught)
I’m plummeting in slow motion…into the remorseful pit…I’m plummeting in my nightmare’s abyss

I want to carry you through the night…
I’m swimming in the ocean of my tears…
My sodden wings lost its ability of flight…
You've been swimming in your distress for years…

Shut up! Don’t say it...
Don’t even think of it (don’t even ponder it)
Hey! Don’t say it’s all over…though we’re breaking bit by bit
‘Cause there’s more treasure to discover

I want to remind you to fight the good fight…
My misery pools are brewing inside of my head…
I’m backing away from the light & exploring the night…
You’re giving in to sleep and I’m wide awake on my bed

Shut up! Don’t say it...
Don’t even think of it (don’t even ponder it)
Hey! Don’t say it’s all over…though we’re breaking bit by bit
‘Cause there’s more treasure to discover

Please don’t tell me…oh, don’t tell me…darling!
You’re giving up today… (I beg you to stay, despite your inner pain)
I’m scared I might erupt – it could be quite startling!
Someday, things will change for the better… (Don’t turn the wrong lane)
I’m waiting for that day to arrive – perhaps it will wash away our dismay…

I promise you a tranquil reality
I want to stray with you tonight
I still have hope that He’ll set us free
I was wondering if you could stay the night
Maybe the Lord could grant us
Pure, incredible delight

Shut up! Don’t say it...
Don’t even think of it (don’t even ponder it)
Hey! Don’t say it’s all over…though we've plunged into our own pit
‘Cause there’s more treasure to gather…

Every civilization has depended on water,
our Earth without it would be another moon;
blue oceans secure this nation from invasions,
but also cause destructive storms and death.

There's no other planet like ours, its waters
invigorate plant life, seasons renew themselves;
who would live in an arid desert exposed to wind
with no precipitation, only sun? Who would survive?

Permeable roads allow water to easily flow
and not saturate the ground during storms,
watch it dripping from the rooftops and trees,
even the grass benefits from it, it stays green.

We need water in our bodies to prevent hydration,
the more we drink it, the healthier we are indeed.
Crystallization occurs in winter when snow turns
into ice; even lakes freeze, rivers stay in liquid form,
so do oceans and seas for us to watch in wonder.

Every drop of water counts, it is a requisite to sustain all life
there's a vast shortage; droughts are caused by scarce
rainfalls, thousands will perish...others are forced to abandon
their lands. Can flowers, grass and trees grow in dry soil?
A land without water offers nothing, it's another wasteland.
Some of us are very lucky to live in prosperous countries,
it's a challenge when droughts hit, have compassion and help.

for bruce springsteen...

it was a rain-swept monsoon day

way back then, so many moons away

when i felt the music strumming in my veins

setting me free like a runaway horse without any reins

you sang of simple truths,

your verse spoke to people just like me

in my lonely, wasted, and desolately quiet night

as you screamed out tragic human wrongs, and of everyone's plight

'bobby jean' spoke to me

of that girl down the street

glimpses of whom, we as innocents would furtively meet

and 'the river' that flowed through my ever-barren heart

led me down further roads of thunder

when slowly i finally learnt that the hardest part was fighting on

and never to surrender

to the hard-luck dreams that were born to run

while i danced in the dark

with memories vivid and stark

even as i whined like that dog who for forever lost his howling bark

and then a 'human touch' came along

and 'better days' seemed real, not just words in a song

and still you sang and swayed and spoke straight into my unseeing eyes

as gardens of secrets were opened, and as your fist punched the skies

in an anger that i too felt and in whose cauldron i too burned

as we saw murder get incorporated, while on its wobbly axis, our fragile world apathetically turned

and then suddenly i was told that i was all grown up

working on a highway of scattered ideals

and absolving myself by sprinkling some coins in a waiting cup

well, after all these years of walking along so many a thorny road

with an armour of your verse covering me, even as i hear them taunt me and even as they continue to goad

but now i can feel myself fading away, into the bleakness of this coming night

just like the ghost of that old tom joad...

LOVERS POINT

I'd watch the waters of the bay
mingle with the rocks and sand.
Failing stars misted in gray
Again fail to illuminate that strand.
Lovers Point won't understand.
Lonely people seem to like it there.
I watched them all as they passed by--
Nodding to my equals there,
Gentle ones who came to tearless cry...
For what? Only the rocks know why.
One night I left that lonesome band;
Reaching out to you I touched love's flame.
You held me close and took my hand.
Once 'twas a lonely place of pain,
Until you gave Lover's Point back it's name.

LOVERS POINT REVISITED

I stood above the misty shore,
My time was short as it was late,
And watched the reflections once more--
lover's Points nocturnal state--
Our meeting place of misread fate.
Nice it was when we were there,
Except there's no more 'you and I'.
Only a memory of a brief affair,
Not lasting long as it went awry.
Cold and dark: Lover's Point's sky.
Every so often it seems to me
My life is like the waves off the shore:
One special person comes near to me,
Retreats again, is then no more.
Even the Point knows not what for.

            What Ocean

Oceans rise because they have to leave now
What goes up stays up as a matter of science
This planet soon will be all consumed in dryness
Giant columns of water are in a rage to go
They look normal crashing on the shore and rocks
A force stronger than nature lifts them up and through

Seas once crept up to claim the shore
Their world became defined in liquid blue
Clinging to rocks, sweeping the sands
Taking time to reclaim the land
After all, oceans occupied most of the world
Filled in what ground could not

But when they rise above the buildings and the mountains
Soon, life as we know it, must disappear
Something must be up for all oceans to simply go nowhere

It takes only seconds for waves to become air born
Taking lakes, rivers, rains, leaving landscapes torn
Billions upon billions of gallons rise higher than known tides
Every drop of water on the Earth absorbed into the void
Exits through the atmosphere, to another place

More than the liquid blue it is, what we are used to, is through
Our lives and meanings are being torn in two
The blue marble has turned from blue to brown
Earth is one big desert now alone among the rocks
With not one drop of water left

Land does not understand or care what happened here
As it takes shape to redefine
Surface world fills in with solids, objects and moving things of beauty
Temporary things like trees and flowers shining about the obscene matter
Water is no longer there to fill their needs and soon they perish

Rocks, hills and mountains reveal the cracks and show so vivid now
Displace oceans at a time, over time, rising to reclaim their own
Molten lava will burn and etch
Air and wind have always been there too

Seas rolled out into the black of outer space
No one has a clue but wonder why

Only waves and water rise to the occasion of existence
Laws of science and nature fade away
Fly out there with no resistance with oceans bold against the cold unknown
Everything else is fictitious driven by nothing but surprise at what is missing

Mountains held back a flood of tears one time
There is nothing left to mourn for, after seas demise
Impossible to shout or cry with no oceans wet
But who can forget the rolling foaming mammoths
Seas even took the last rain drops with them when they left
It is all too deep and blue to fathom
We wish them well and happy splashdowns on other planets

The Sieve of Time

Cast ashore,
along the banks of time,

whirling through the passing years,
clinging to my futile scribbles set in rhyme,

Cast ashore,
thrust into an unrehearsed pantomime,

clenching slivers of joy as weariness descends,
lulled into a peaceful slumber exhilaratingly sublime.

Cast ashore,
hazily adrift, a dandelion seed on the wings of time,

trapped in the sieve of spiralling memories,
caught between pristine bliss, and reeking slime.

Cast ashore,
flung aside for no discernible crime,

my human heart thuds with elusive hope,
though battered, bruised, and covered in grime,

I stagger ashore,

alone,

embracing each moment of detached, oblivious time.

Do Not Resuscitate

You did not tell me we were drowning.
I’ve always known to swim.
Why didn’t you tell me we were sinking?
I would have rescued us again.

The ocean we were swimming,
Was vast, and wide, and blue.
We were seeking out a treasure
Just our love and me and you.

Why did I not see that we were drowning.
And scream for help to come.
That ocean race that we were swimming,
We never could have won.

 You told me once before,
That you knew you couldn’t swim.
But I thought I could hold your head up
Help you breath the air and take it in.

I threw on my lifeguard persona.
I wanted to save you. Save you and I
But I knew I couldn’t jump in the water again
At the time I just didn’t know why.

You did not tell me we were drowning.
I wish you would have told me then.
If I had seen that we were sinking,
I could have let the rescue of myself begin.

OCEAN OF TEARS

Things were good just yesterday
Till death took you away today
Now, we are feeling like we lost everything
Oh yes, we lost everything when we lost you
If only our eyes could pour out all the tears our heart holds
Your casket will be over floating on them
These tears hold no salt; our heart is laden with bitterness
We still wonder if the stars still shine out for us
When we look up; the very star we look up to has faded
Can you wake now? We are drunk in sorrow.

Worst things in life come free to us
Death sold us what we didn’t order to buy
It delivered itself to us when we didn’t give out any address
What kind of offline shopping is this?
If only we can return this ugly unwanted purchase
We may forever be stuck in this daydream
What a black Saturday; it was supposed to be a happy day for all of us
45th convocation ceremony! So many invites; yet, you didn’t turn up
It’s not alright to die; though, it’s the only thing you never tried
Prof. If only you waited billion days; trillion tears could have been saved.

Who? Where? When? Why? ...
Unending questions; heart-breaking answers
If we were to write about your death in an answer script
We will submit empty script because we don’t know what to write
How can we write what doesn’t have course outline?
Many will demand for extra script; to use and clean up their tears
Prof. you have left a big vacuum in our heart and in our department
Who will tend to your courses and your supervisees now that you are gone?
If these are my last words about you; I didn’t say them only in bitterness
You scholarly legacies are enough to restore us to default hope.
Requiscant in pace Proffesor Ken. Ifesinachi…

i see an ocean wave crashing with no mercy
destroying everything in its path
i see an ocean wave killing other people
swallowing their houses and their life
all of what they worked for
is now gone,
nobody can save what under the water now
this one wave took everything
killed all of their dreams and hopes
but still it did it so gracefully
that it made me hope
it made me think of flowers
in an open field
flowers so colorful
that even when their asleep
they take your breath away
from the beauty they unleash
a beauty so disastrous
that it kills everything in their path?!!
wow, this beauty's like a curse on earth
it serves as well
but at the same time it kills are hearts
the hearts of people filled with dreams
well, none of that matters now
because their dead and so is their dream
some may have thought of college
after a four year high school degree
they all had hopes just like you and i
well now they dont even have a home
to look out of the window on a long dreadful night
but those who made it out alive
they can still dream
in fact they can make it happen
build a knew hope far away from the water far away from the light
they may even escape the cold dreadful nights
but its useless because even in the desert will they live
a hurricane will start the grief again
so you keep building, keep achieving
going nowhere with your life
just remember you can never run enough
to hide from the wrath of God

One hundred year’s young.
The
grand old lady
lying still
in the blackness
of time.

Her great hull
standing silent
weeping for
its precious
cargo.

Shivering vaporous forms
of first class and steerage.
Stroll hand in hand
together to the
surging currents
of the Atlantic.

A vast wardrobe
of scattered luggage,
across the sandy floor.
Small ghostly forms
play chasey among
the tattered decks.

Step between the clumps of weed
and tangled traps of trash. Footprints
in the shallow face of the damp sand
fill with pooled water.

Look out, past the wide horizon,
the stretched, vast blue;
point to the pinpoint, where the hazed
hot sky meets the bumping, cresting waves;

walk, in between the hordes
of Canadian tourists speaking in clouds
of broken French

feel the dry sand hot
as it collapses around your ankle

“We’re walking to the palm reader —
Yes, In between the arcade and the train tracks.
Come with us.
This beach never changes. The brine
still clasps on the wooden legs of the Pier,
as it always has. The gulls still
swarm down on scraps of fries. Empty bottles
of coffee brandy still litter the darkness
of the Pier's underbelly.

Long ago, I thought I could see England
from this beach. Long ago,
I thought I could swim to England from
this beach.

Long ago, when I was a child, I was a tourist
walking these sands. I had a friend who lived here. We would
eat pizza and bodysurf in the shallows…

My friend left this world.
He didn’t swim to England, or swim across the sea.

He floats above my everything, as high as the open hazed blue ocean sky.”

The water.
It ripples and waves.
Its soothing to the touch and it runs over your body like an invisible blanket.
When life is too much to take I run to the water.
I've thought about lost loved ones over the view of the ocean.
As the waves ran over my toes and pulled back it was as if God was telling me I'm here.
I see your pain. I see your passion. In time I will wash them away.
When it rains, it stirs something inside of my heart. I know that as this storm shall pass, so will the trials of life.
The pain will be washed away. All will grow new again.
Pain is water.
Joy is water.
Life it water.
Water is beauty.

Turn the wheel
*******he sea...
Push aside the misery...
The abominable agony...
Endure this hardship...with me
Fight off the tears and let us roam to sea
Don't make it hard for me
To determine the waters

We are the same kind
If you can be so KIND, let me show you your destiny -
To dwell with me in tranquility

We will try to share our responsibilities...
Take turns and share our possibilities...

How have you been?
Sorry we have shut our ears
To your deafening cries
I'm turning the wheel for you
You're losing energy...be still - why are you so blue?

I'll shut out the feeling of anguish

You'll get what you wish

We will start anew
We will start on a fresh start
We will fulfill our dreams and make them come true
We'll brew away the sadness
I'm determined to eliminate
The distress... swallowing us like a tidal wave...
Behave, you wild childlike waters!! Behave!

Don't worry - we'll get rid of
The limited happiness
And make our heart pump with merriness
Don't be a magnet of depression stress

You'll experience a wonderful opportunity
So you may feel at one with
Our world full of possibilities
And eliminate those cruel, wretched words
That tore apart our responsibilities...
Our activities... our reveries... our possibilities...
That brought us back together

We'll be hiking
These somewhat difficult hardships together
