Tender of Roses

Beloved, lovely roses: gift of God and lover’s flower,
Spread your colored petals and cradle tender showers.
While admiring the blossoms with their beauty to behold,
Ought we not to know the Tender of such lovely garden groves?

For He lovingly and thoughtfully wields His pruning shears
To cut away the stems of old for fuller future years.
He cultivates and feeds them. He attends them as a Father
Looking daily to their needs; so faithfully He waters.

From the dawn of morning dew until the setting sun arrays
Caring always for His own until that great appointed day…
When the Gardener comes to claim each one the earth held as its own.
He gently picks it at its peak and for His pleasure takes it home.

As God did one glorious morning, when the Perfect Rose had bloomed.
He rolled away the stone and met with Mary at the tomb.
There the sweetest Rose of Sharon rose that we die not alone.
But be gathered for a garden grove, surrounding heavens throne.

the Rose

The Rose innocent white, soft pink, yellows
colors touch your soul vibrant red to amethyst

enhances beauty yet a thorn awaits to break skin
as life does piercing your heart with a thin pin.

My life has shed drops of blood through each petal
as if in return for the love and beauty you feel

hence pain underneath patiently waits the bloodletting ~

The rose symbolizes love yet vulnerable to hold
for when you open your heart it can be left bleeding

The best of surgeons can not beat your heart
It is the inner faith and God himself whom gives strength

whispers in your ear you shall live you will exist
your life meaningful as the water and sun to the rose

For I am your God your existence is not over yet .
You must Live ~You must Bloom

Rose Colored Glasses

Just try in the imagining of this
And the point of it all try not to miss
His Mother told Him that they were all out of wine
Then Mary told the wait staff to follow Him that all will be fine

Zacchaeus was a tax collector
And amongst the people he was quite a specter
Knowing His Name and that he was a sinner
Jesus called him down and then ate at his house for dinner

In seeking out a Samarian woman at the well
To her lost soul of His Glory He would tell
She ran in the gathering and telling of her whole entire town
As in His Kingdom this simple harlot will wear a crown

In a remote place 15,000 stood at Our Lord's feet
But only one of the many had anything to eat
Jesus took those two fish and five loaves of bread
Twelve extra baskets were still left after all were fed

This woman was caught in the act of adultery
Her stoning is what all had really wanted to see
Jesus simply bent down and began drawing on the ground
And soon not even one of her accusers could even be found

The point in all of this being
Many people will read yet so few of them will be seeing
Look at the Words written in black on white
And allow the Holy Spirit to give you sight

Dedicated to my Aunt Patsy

Your Rose

Lord, I would be like Your own sweet Rose
when underneath the world's vain rush
I have been bruised; a wounded thrush,
whose song is trapped within its throat,
who cannot lift to voice one note
its weary head and sorrow knows.

Though I be trampled beneath the throngs
of grasping, pleasure seeking souls
and waves of pain high in me roll,
I would be crushed in silence, deep,
that even my inmost soul would keep
and whisper not of how was wronged.

But ever, as with vengeance black,
they tramp the petals, limp and torn,
would send forth fragrance, sweet and warm,
and bless the feet of that mad crowd,
beneath their onslaught remain bowed
and by Your love turn hatred back.

It was Your wounding, sacred Rose,
the fragrance of Your love for me
blown by the winds of infamy
down from that dark hill, Calvary,
that brought Your passion home to me
and feeds the flower which in me grows.

The Rose of the World

The Rose of the World went weeping
and many the tears the Rose shed;
they flowed like a river softly
on a world that was dry and dead.

The Rose of the World was heartsick;
the heart of the Rose broke and bled,
the mad world plaited a thorn crown
to cruelly pierce His fair head.

They crushed the Rose in its beauty,
and they nailed the Rose to a tree;
the Rose with His tears and His lifeblood
emptied out His fragrance on me.

Roses From Heaven

I took a single long-stemmed rose to one I loved so dear.
I laid it at the headstone and quietly shed a tear.
A flood of memories filled my soul, the tears began to fall,
Then through the gentle summer breeze I heard a familiar call.
It sounded like a voice I hadn't heard in oh, so long.
The voice of my dear Mother, sweeter than the angels' song.
"My darling daughter, dry your eyes," she whispered in the wind.
"Your pain is temporary. Someday we'll meet again.
I'll be standing there with Jesus as you cross the great divide,
And together we will wait for you and welcome you inside.
We'll stroll down Heaven's golden streets, walking hand-in-hand,
Just me and you and Jesus as we tour the Promised Land.
You can't even imagine the beauty that awaits.
I cannot wait to see the joy as it overcomes your face.
I appreciate the rose you brought to symbolize your love.
But I must leave it here below. We have plenty up above.
So take it with you when you go, and remember what I've spoken.
And try to smile when you think of me, don't let your heart be broken.
Remember all the good times, and the times that are yet to be.
You know I love you with all my heart, and I know that you love me."
As quickly as it had begun, the wind faded away.
Her voice was gone and so I turned to where the red rose lay.
I blinked in total disbelief. I rubbed my tear-streaked eyes.
There in the place of the single rose was an incredible surprise.
A dozen long-stemmed roses were scattered in its place
I gathered them up quickly, as a smile came to my face.
I took a single long-stemmed rose, and she sent down eleven.
I never will forget the day that roses came from Heaven.

Psalm to My Soul

Oh my soul, learn from the…

…intricate rose that you were created,

…tall sunflower to reach up high,

…daylily that time is short,

…crushed wheat kernel that you were born of sacrifice.

“Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” —John 12:24

A Rose That's In Full Bloom

In the garden of Gethsemane on that dismal night ---
Jesus deep in prayer was quite an awesome sight ---
His tears were like drops of blood,
that fell from His eyes ---
Yet they were that of Holy water,
that descends from Heavenly skies ---
Three times Jesus prayed to His Father on high ---
Three times did He admonish us with a heavy sigh ---
Then as the Pharisees, Chief Priests and
soldiers took Jesus away ---
We scattered in all directions,
like sheep that has gone astray ---
Hanging upon a Roman cross,
Christ died for all our sins ---
Giving us eternal salvation and assurance,
that God always wins ---
Our Lord was taken down and placed enshrouded,
inside Joseph of Arimathea's tomb ---
On the third day, was resurrected from all
it's dark and lonely gloom ---
Appearing before us in that large and furnished upper room ---
We witnessed the Great Commission,
like a rose that's in full bloom ---
Ascending towards God's Kingdom,
for all of us to see ---
Jesus promised that He would be with us,
for all eternity.

Velvet Rose

A cloudless sky,
Reflections of the heavens,
An atmospheric goodbye,
The tranquility of the Seventh,
An airy sigh,
The lonely sail,
His sacred credence,
Our voyage through wind and hail,
A steady beacon,
Our path home,
His chosen children,
The lighthouse on the coast,
The strongest breath you can muster,
A sudden increase in speed,
Father I'm coming.

Jesus Lives

Once a very long time was born a perfect, righteous man
He died upon a rugged cross, but yet, He rose and lived again.
Jesus died that day but in the grave He didn't really stay
From the clutches of sin and death He broke for us the chain
As the boulder from his sepulcher rolled away they said.
I am so glad to believe that Jesus came in order to save us all.
And now between our Heavenly Father and us there's no more a wall.
Because God to this earth His only Begotten Son He sent.
And Jesus in total perfection his whole life He spent.
But upon the cross He chose for us to bear our sins.
He definitely did it all for us out of Love.
He absolutely did it all just for you and me…
He died while pleading forgiveness to His Heavenly Father above.
Yes, death couldn't keep Him down as He rose again that day.
The grave was found emptied and Jesus was never seen there
And Jesus bought with his Precious blood our sins that day.
The stone just rolled away and Jesus lives in my heart everyday.
Jesus has risen! And He lives! He can wash your sins and mine.Be thankful and pray.
Jesus my king and Savior lives and always will be here for you and me.

Easter is way more than just some earthly thing
It’s about the victory of our Savior and King
It marks for us a whole new beginning
Where we don’t have to worry about our constant sinning
For he destroyed our sin once and for all
Now we don’t have to worry when we fall
For when we do he will catch us for sure
He is always there, his love for us will always endure
Because he died and rose we are free
It’s all because how he suffered for us on that tree
But that’s not the end, there’s more to the story
On the third day he rose and he showed all of his glory
He conquered sin, Jesus is risen
And because of this our sins can be forgiven
Now in Him we have new life
And we can leave behind all our pain and strife
Because Jesus came and took that all away
And he threw it into hell where it’s going to stay
Sin is no longer our master, by Jesus it was defeated
And with that Jesus’ mission is finally completed

Three dreary nights Sunshine is on the rose again aright is light

According to the Scriptures

Jesus died for my sins
(According to the Scriptures)
He was laid in a tomb
(According to the Scriptures)
But He rose to life again
(According to the Scriptures)
Now He's coming real soon
(According to the Scriptures) [Chorus]

Jesus died for my sins, He was laid in a tomb
But He rose to life again, now He's coming real soon
According to the Scriptures and believed by the saints
Yet if Christ be not raised then our faith is in vain
BUT! Jesus is alive and He rose from the dead
We're the Body of Christ and Christ is the head
Who's become the firstfruit of those who've slept
Afterward at His Coming, those who have been kept
From the pollution of the world, the solution is faith
Being sealed with His Spirit until we see Christ's day
When all things are subdued and the mountains will fall
The son is subject to the father, God is all and in all
Every knee will surely bow and tongue confess that
Jesus is Lord while secrets of the hearts manifest
Some on the right hand, others on the left
As he separates the wheat from the chaff with his breath

It's according to the Word, now it's time for you to level
You can't drink of Jesus cup and the cup of the devil
Awake to righteousness and sin not!
And it's ashame if you don't have the knowledge of God
Watch ye, stand fast in the faith be strong
Submit yourself to Jesus flee away from all wrong
For evil companionships corrupt good manners
So stay with holy ones lifting up the Lord's banner
As Christ increases, we decrease daily dying
Maximizing with the People Of War Ever Rising
While awaiting the redemption of our bodies we're victors
And we'll go up in the Rapture according to the Scriptures

If Jesus Were A Rose

                                        If Jesus ere a rose
                               With thorns around His head
Just like a crown of jewels
He were them all so well
                                       Body long as a stem
We must we try to remember
That we will share the rose

happy, happy are we cause he rose
                                        From the dead
                                  Many colors are the rose
But only Jesus knows your heart & souls
                                     Red, yellow, white
Yet he rose cause He rose for all them that sought the light
Jesus yet lives not He's alive
And He thrives if we allow Him in us
He thrives when we allow Him in our hearts
