Alone figure stands,
On sunsets rock.
Summers hot breezes brush,
Against bare skins flesh.
Stalking the ageless path.
Behold histories Indian brave,
Man, and horse intertwined.
Symbiotic beings joined,
They are one.
The spirit rider gallops,
Across freedoms trail.
Cautiously, allying arrow unto bow,
Aiming swiftly his shot to kill.
Guardian’s raging bull charges,
Protectors sacrifice, blood mingles,
Amongst dust clouds aftermath,
His majesty lies slain.
Dark brown eyes close,
Glimpsing blue sky for the,
Last time.
Heavens prairies, welcome destiny's,
Honorable foe,
The hunter kneels beside the giant's,
Stilled heart,
Giving thanks, singing chants rise,
Ascending heights greener,
Pastures unto a higher plain.
It echoes in valleys deep,
Touching the lands of his,
 Fore fathers.
Tonight beneath flames tribal fires,
Rhythms beating drums, gives praise,
Many shall celebrate, feasting,
 In memories tribute,

Unicorns are they Legend or Fact dedicated to PD

Creature of myths and legends
most deny that you ever exist
yet time after time you reappear
history the world wide names you

Depicts you with spiral single horn
gleaming white starry coat
its said only in a virgin you trust
when you will lay your head

In her lap as she tames
your ferocity and wildness
only then can you be caught
yet should we capture you?

Is it not best to leave you free?
some things are best left alone
never to be proved as fact
I know I believe you to be real

Yet a wondrous creature living hidden
that forever free and wild should be
allowed to roam in our minds and hearts
bringing hope and joy to future generations

The unicorn is a legendary animal from European folklore that resembles a white horse with a large, pointed, spiralling horn projecting from its forehead, and cloven hooves. First mentioned by the ancient Greeks, it became the most important imaginary animal of the Middle Ages and Renaissance when it was commonly described as an extremely wild woodland creature, a symbol of purity and grace, which could only be captured by a virgin. In the encyclopedias its horn was said to have the power to render poisoned water potable and to heal sickness.

A poem written for my friend Anna You, special magical, you! Did you just see my tears of pain, How I in vain tried to? I want to... I sit here hiding, in the rain. No discrimination between that one moist or the other. Don't smother. Where've you been? You are so warm, I've never seen You before, are you my mother? I rest my wounds on that cool horn, Can you please cure me? I'm born, Forlorn... Will you look at me and see? Make me whole, I'm so torn... You are my legs, my life, my all. A strong back to replace mine, Please be my spine. If I fall, Don't call, Nudge gently, so I will be fine. We wander off to distant land. You carry me, I you. You too. With caring hand, Caress your manes, use magic sand. Styx and Acheron we'll plough through! *** January 27, 2017

Lewis And Clark

They were Meriwether Lewis and William Clark,
Her name was Sacagawea.
On an expedition they did embark
Finding the passage to the sea.

Down the Missouri they traveled,
Then slithered 'round the Snake River bend.
Rocky Mountain weather and sickness battled;
At the Columbia River they'd end.

A Horse Of Course

< Horses and snowflakes
                                   Illuminating to it's tongue's pallet's plate

                                              Open carriage rides
                                         Falling flakes in the eyes

                                             City strewn lights
Hoof's echoing through out the night

                                             Fleece blankets
                                              Cider drank it

                                              Horns blare
                                              People's stare

                                        New York's Central Park
An home for many after dark

                                         Four miles of bridal paths
Drawn coaches to bring you back

                                          So horses and snowflakes
Fills this ones poet's pallet's plate

The War Horse what an amazing
 animal, true beauty and bravery

 It's not his fight yet
 he does not take flight.

On the battle field his true
 colours are revealed, this
 magnificent beast is not about
 to yield.

 Loyal and fearless, full gallop
towards the front line he strides.
The enemy not knowing what to
make of this valour and might.

A lone rider sits high in the saddle,
As the horizon's sunrise spreads across,
The open prairie.
Twin pearl handed pistols rest at his side,
As rusty spires clang against wooden planks,
At the deadwood saloon.
Legends cowboys whisper his name,
On the dry desert winds,
A giant of a man whom breathed
Life again into the legacy,
 Of the old west.
His side swagger's walk trademark
On the larger than a life screen.
The duke truly represents the great
American hero on horse back.
Six shooters drawn at high noon's
Count down,
John Wayne's the trail dusts equalizer,
He always remained on the right side,
Of tin stars law.
The tumble weeds rolls along a dirt path,
As tall cactus stand on an arried canvas,
Life here is harsh and mean,
Where only the strong survive.
Bold individuals with the inner
Strength against god's forbidden land.
Harden men whom lived by one simple,
Rule I will do what ever it takes
To stay alive.
He'll join the ghost riders,
Forever driving the lords herds
Across the grand divides vast
Prairie sky’s as the sunsets
In the old west.
Alone figure rides high in saddle,
Set against a legends back drop,
Hell bound for glory,
In a cloud of gun smokes fog,
Behold the duke emerges,
With his hat on straight
And gun at the ready.

Scarlet Horse

A grain of rice,
seeds of a vegetable,
lights in a decoration,
a bride.
A bottle of old wine
infected by abnormal wishes.
Crawling into fake
carvings on a stone......
of an old love.
Stones broken by a stone crusher,
fighting back for emptiness
still a grain of rice.
Flew among the clouds,
a scarlet horse,
a prince, seeds of a vegetable,
a bride.

The Pegasus' derby

racing along the crescent rainbow track into the human race
a starting gate drawn on a diagonal perspective to innovation
breaking the colour spectrum like a powerful brainstorm
riding from grassroots...rising to break the glass ceiling on the vertical
a supersonic impact sounding our heartbeat
a glowing prism of enlightenment into golden sunsets
each lane of colour, a special talent of the seven intelligences

myth and imagination striding for liberty
the human spirit galloping through nobility
burning like a torch, scorching eternal memory
piloting a superior being on a victory lap
an enchanted force, our curse to be forever victorious
seeking knowledge and truth at all cost
finding reason and innovation instead

the keen senses of prey becoming heightened as a conscience hunter
chasing the horizon in a herd of Pegasus’ like a vortex'
a brilliant white formation of storm clouds forms
at height of a heated race to perform a classic derby
rumbling as they cross the once blue sky like jetpacks into our double helix
the human spirit on wings to freedom driven on horsepower
the day the gods gave man willpower

Back on the Horse

If any of us were perfect then you wouldn't need to be here
It being how your soul will reflect Who holds you most dear
Here is certainly not the case as perfection is no where near
But with the help of His Grace slowly it'll become more clear

In that falling to the ground and the pain that it will cause
To what you were once bound, replaced by your own flaws
But from the pain as you reel and you reach out and plead
The changing how you feel is now showing what you need

Every horse will be different as each day more of the same
To know what's truly meant and not that life is just a game
Just a big rodeo where everyone has the same goal in mind
So no matter how things may go it's the Lord that you find

Everybody will eventually fall for it will rarely be an easy ride
Get up and stand tall and don't ever worry about such pride
Sitting there up upon its back waiting for that horn to sound
It's not about what you lack, it's about the lessons you found

My cousin bought a horse and he fell off when he attempted to ride.
People told him to quit but he tried and tried.
He never gave up and he was never scared.
He learned how to ride that horse because he persevered.
We should all persevere when it comes to our goals and dreams.
We shouldn't give up no matter how hard it seems.

This is the story of a beautiful horse named Glory Freckled and spotted She stood but a twig Lost in a forest Of abandonment Tires and barbwire Surround her by day And at night she suffers The coyotes cries, not far away Left with no food Or water to drink She stands by a tree And hopes for relief Halter grown in And hooves overgrown Not a grain in that belly And left all alone Withering quick She stands by her tree And hopes a kind soul Will help her to see There is life still No matter how grim Things seem from beneath This horrid, old tree This halfhearted twig Awaits her relief As the days pass her by And she writhes with grief Her name is Glory All freckled with spots Like a giant Dalmatian Trapped in this spot At the end of her lead She was finally freed Not a day too soon She'll now find relief Halfhearted no longer And happy at last Whom once was a twig Knows Glory at last Halfhearted no longer And free from that mess Glory has found relief At Horse Creek Ranch* *Horse Creek Ranch is, to the best of my knowledge, a fictional name.

gone to chase the liberty of truth

"gone to chase the liberty of truth.
these walls come crashing down.
theres a fire among us all.
were all going to die once more."

ashes fall as everyone falls
hold your breath this not the place for a filty dirty whore
this is no game this is not the time to look pretty in fame
tonight is the event and your in it
the burning ashes come alive in flames to takes us all away

this time you wish u did nothing wrong
wishing u could have bailed but its just too late
this time WERE going to make it right
this time your going to die tonight

cry out theres something wrong
tears fall as everyone falls

dance for your last breath.
show him what we are made of
not a life would had been spent
wasnt for that filty dirty whore

woundering what you did wrong
sometimes it feels you took to long
to think every thing is going to be fine?
one night you wish you can make it right
this time you’ll find you did everything wrong

tonight is the time
tears fall as everyone falls
your going to cry
were all going to die
were all going to die in shame
thinks to the cover up blond
were all going to die once more

theres a time to tell
that theres nothing left anymore
hell is place you never wanna be

theres a broken piece that has been dugged in side
for the hope one night everything is coming back to life

show us what ur made for!

bust out the chains and the horse shoes
cry out you have nothing to lose
bust out the chains and the horse shoes
one night you’ll find you have everything to lose

gone to chase the liberty of truth.
these walls come crashing down.
theres a fire among us all.
were all going to die once more....

theres a time to tell
that theres nothing left anymore
to hear your lies i got news for you honey
hell is place you never wanna be

there is a broken piece that has been dugged in side
just hoping for one night everything to come back to life.

By A Lone Cowboys Hand

Upon the page forever bound, the wagering of life will be found,
Where those words are gathered in paper and ink and bring a cowboys life to the brink
Of wit and charm with a cowboys creed, what’s on his back is all he’ll need,
For those turns in life that unfold, like a horse that he couldn’t hold.
His wild eyes would test his fate, with quick sharp hooves his teeth bared with hate.
Or a more subtle gander into life so told where he could walk on land, not branded or sold.

Find a friend not easily made, standing alone when he has strayed
To a place where he shouldn’t be,
And with in his eyes all he’ll see
Of life and early death,
Beside a friend until his final breath.

The pages are bursting with emotion and wit, the knowledge of where he got most of it.
Feeling the breath of a horse rode down. Hearing the spurs as they strike the ground.
Smelling the leather and sweat of a hard days ride.
Knowing they have done more than just tried.

Horns that gore a pony that he was on, artistically maneuvered in words and drawn,
To make you feel the at painful fall,
The reality of a mad cows bawl
All etched into words and forever bound to a book of silence,
If not read now sound will fill the mind and souls with imaginations of prairies and knolls,
And mountains where cattle hide with no brand burnt upon their hide

You are drawn into a life where men were free, and shaped by the land like they ought to be.
Lives that were whittled and chiseled into long hard days,
The force of mother nature and the changing of ways
Bring alive the west, we now read and hear. The wisdom behind the handmade gear.

Cowboys North and South, bring knowledge and hence are a powerful part of evidence, that the Grit of Smokey, Flint and Sand where brought to life by a Lone Cowboys hand.
From cover to cover you are woven into the past and live with the cowboys the author has cast,
Turning each page so you could read on
Knowing the emotions and feelings along
With the horses and cowboys names.
Brought to life by one man,
Will James.

A Spaceship And A Horse

Way out in space in what's called the dark hole.
There's a place that many know of and many have been told.

It's a place where the final space ship is being built.
And men are sending materials each day the way they live.

If you know the Builder and have accepted His Son.
Then your part of the spaceship will someday be done.

But friend if you don't know Him, then get in the groove.
And start sending material so that spaceship soon can move.

The space ship won't consist of metals, bolts, and screws.
But the prayers of the faithful, and for those who did choose.

It will fly through space in the twinkling of an eye,
And many of you reading this may never have to die.

The Pilot of the space ship that I'm writing about.
Is none other than the Christ Child from Christmas, there's no doubt.

But He won't be a baby this time when He comes.
But will be the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and some folks will run.

He'll give up this spaceship for a white horse to ride.
And the Bible says everyone will see Him and no one can hide.

Knight On The White Horse

It seemed like a dream that he came to me
Dressed in silver armour, riding on a white steed
Coming with only love for his deed

Carrying me away on the pancing horse
To the rock castle way above the course
Ere we enter, the golden lined way

Touched by his presence in a special bay
Filled with refreshing waters cool and calm
Once they are swallowed sins all gone

The Coming of The Horsemen

Galloping, galloping from beyond the world’s end,
From the hand of God, the message they send.
Faint and distant, like the ticking of the clock
Man’s indiscretions, the gate to unlock.

Galloping, galloping the closer they come.
Punishment and judgment, weighing the sum.
Wielding the sword and bearing the scale,
Our sentence it rides upon the horse pale.

Galloping, galloping hooves beating thunder
With tears and moans, our world is asunder
The horse of red is awaiting its cue.
The horsemen cometh for me and for you.

Galloping, galloping to deliver our fate.
To stop this madness, are we too late.
From the deepest place in our hearts, we should say,
To the ones next to us, “Forgive me, Forgive me, Forgive me, I pray.”

The Horse

In this creature I see
Beauty power and grace
The intelligence to know its place
The serenity to keep its cool
Or strength when it comes time to rule
Compassion and care
Loyalty so rare
Perfection etched in the sands of time
The best of both reason and rhyme
The emotions of love and hate
The future with chance and fate
One with the air
Gentle and fair
Calmness or force
Purely amazing

Horse Dance

I dance on the backs of horses
  and oil slick seagulls wheel
across the storm bled sky
  for life is theirs to steal;
and the steps on frothing spines
  underneath the shadowed span,
speeds tempo in a winged chase,
I am dancing as fast as I can...
