Dedicated to my Dad Jerry W. Niday 3/20/1952 - 6/18/2013

I am who I am because of him
He’s the reason for my son’s name
He gave me my courage & my strength
To stand tall even when standing wasn’t easy
Stand for the ones who can’t
To think and fend for myself
I’m my Daddy made over

Taught me to fight back
To never back down
How to pick myself back up
When I’ve been knocked down
Fight for what I believe
I’m my Daddy made over

He gave me my stubbornness
Gave me my pride
Gave me my temper
Taught me not to take crap
To speak my mind no matter who
Work for what I want
I’m my Daddy made over

How to keep my emotions in check
How to handle large amounts of pain
When in trouble he always had my back
He knew how my mind worked better than anyone
I got it from him
I’m my Daddy made over

Even though he’s gone
I’ll stand and continue on
I may stumble I may fall
May even get hurt along the way
But I’ll pick myself back up
I’ll dust myself off and stand tall
I’m honored and proud to say
I’m my Daddy made over

Thank you – Zamreen Zarook

Thank you is a sweet word in the nature,
You may be a guy of adventure,
May be you are a person of agriculture,
What matters is your architecture.

Never forget the people, who guided you,
In no degree neglect who were with you,
Don’t ever overlook a creature, who gave a smile to you,
Because, you will meet them above you.

People forget the past due to selfishness,
They have no time to remember their unawareness,
Society, most of the times behave in awfulness,
They will understand when their lives come in to bitterness.

Be a person to thank and remember,
Don’t consider them as December,
Because, you might need them in November,
So, always be as a good subscriber.

I don't have all the pieces together;
This puzzle is just too much,
But God already has it figured out
As He is solving this from above.

Singing around in love;
Smiles built from the ground.
Holding hands in the dance;
Laughing with brothers and sisters,
All in His Glorious Name.
Throughout His perfectly sculpted land:
Look around because this is it;
Look around because this is love;
Look around and know, understand, comprehend,
Rejoice because you are perfect;
You are God's beautiful children!

There's something unspecific about the autumn nights
A certain shade of color that uplifts my inner child's eyes
Beside a cashmere moon Venus and Jupiter shine bright
Complimented by a sea of blinking infinite twilight
The scent of burning oak lingers in the air from home made fires
Reminiscent of a time when this man was just a child
Careless and so free to dream and any dream to live
Like feathers floating across a field carried by the wind
As a gentle breeze blows through the leaves shivering delightful gloom
Unlike flowers of springtime the disheveled autumn vibrance bloom
Leaves crackle beneath my feet along the skeleton tree path
Where I try to find my peace or a song to make me laugh
The air is so much crisper and also soothing when I breathe it in
Underneath a starry sky and brighter constellations of Heaven
Amidst the trail I pass a lovely couple holding hands
While their children run aside frolicking in a playful dance
An old man and his wife admire the view from a wooden bench
With smiles on their face as if nostalgia is still their closest friend
Its these specific autumn affects that bring me sorrows and joy
Reminding me of all theses things Ive wanted as a man since I was a little boy
Its times like these that I wish I wasn't always so alone
Because I would light an fire with my family and call it home

The bleeding of souls under the umbrella of dissatisfaction causes us to look for them

They, who once were a cause of all things, who fought our causes when we knew none

The small ones, ones who fear everything except nothing and live mysterious lives on the continent of imagination

They reigned over smaller things under the larger scope of rain that poured abundantly over them

They were never satisfied

The rain poured daily, moment by moment they sat awaiting its storm and fierce rain

Souls scattered under a storm with no umbrella

Education was their Father and He rained over them with his undying love and open opportunity

Access was never denied and He felt His drops of love nourish each one

Today a butterfly
fluttered through the sky.

Swooping, drawing near,
floating close enough to hear,

the wish whispered softly,
through teardrops a little salty.

It landed on the little nose
and heard the giggle as it goes.

To the heavens it soared up high,
releasing the wish on a little sigh.

Will We Know Him?

Will we know Him if He stood in front of us?
If He walked by us on the street?
Will we know Him?
If we have a chance to meet Him in our  lifetime?
In that split second that we meet Him?
Our eyes met for the first time?
Will we know Him?
Yes reading the moment we stood side by side?
Our smiles are very clear
Our heart jumps around
Yes we do know Him?
That look, and that feeling
When we know we've found our home
Yes we do know Him
Yes we know what to say to Him
As we walk away together
Yes we know Him as He knows us His children
We are finally together

The first tear of joy
The first smile of life
The first words of thought
The first prayer to God

The glow upon their face
The lips that speak at Grace
The eyes of crystal glass
That see all in God's place

Look quickly, watch closely
For even in a glance
Carry it deeply and never forget
Know that there is Heaven in the face of every child.

A little girl came and asked her mother, "Mom ! Where are you going now?"
"Going to church," the mother replied.
The girl asked again, "why do you have to go to church, mom?"
"Because we do pray to god for saving us from sin in Church so that We can go to heaven." The mother replied.
"Mom! Why do you want to go to heaven?" The girl asked her and then added “what does heaven look like?"
The mom answered, "heaven is a beautiful place which is filled with peace, colors & love."
"Then can't we try to make our house as beautiful as heaven? The girl asked with wonder.
Mom laughed & replied," oh you silly girl! heaven is way more beautiful & amazing than our house."
Then the girl asked with a world of confusion, "mom! I would like to see a photo of heaven."
The mother replied ," no one ever seen heaven."
The girl asked with astonishment " then why do you want to go a place that you never know how it is?"

(A tribute poem to Connecticut Shooting victims)

Whilst time is not in our hands to bear
Whispering hushed sound, steals someone’s life
A lithe gunman brandishing gun to err
If only I hold time, I’ll stop the strife

The ephemeral laughter of childhood
Bequeath memories to posterity
Be an advocate for gun ban, I would
Parents felt like dry leaf in an eddy

I speak of my thoughts, hopes, and prayers
A glimpse of dulcet smile one last chance
Felicity in heaven cloaked the fears
For these children once have a dalliance

One by one, far and near, gunshot broke out
In silence, their presence you can’t live without

A little girl went skipping down to the wishing well
Wearing a torn dirty dress and her hair in a ponytail
She stood on her tippy toes and looked down inside
Seeing her reflection she said hello and an echo replied

She came to make a wish for her sick mom home in bed
Her daddy left not saying a word just a kiss on the forehead
The little girl takes a coin out of her pocket and drops it in
Closing her eyes she tells the well her wish with a dimpled grin
Racing back to her house she bursts through the front door
Peeks in her mother’s room but she’s not there like before
Mommy, where are you she yells as she searches every room
She was about to cry when she smelled a familiar perfume
My little girl she hears whispered in her ear don’t be afraid
I have gone to heaven to be with Jesus you need to be brave
Daddy is waiting for you and he needs you more than ever
I may be gone from sight but I will live in your heart forever
She could hear her daddy calling as her mommy faded away
I’m over here daddy talking to mommy she says we have to stay
Her daddy picks her up in his arms and gives her a loving squeeze
Not knowing what to say to his little girl or even what to believe
How could she be talking to mommy when he saw her die today?
I need to tell you something about mommy and why she went away
Mommy told me already and then she gently touched his face
I wished for mommy to get better and now she is in a better place.
They walked hand in hand and both knowing they had each other
He would miss his wife and the little girl would miss her mother
Now the little girl is all grown up and is a mother of a little boy
Understanding the meaning of unconditional love and pure joy

A little boy went skipping down to the wishing well
Wearing torn dirty shorts and holding his fishing pail
He stood on his tippy toes and looked down inside
Seeing his reflection he said hello and an echo replied.

What makes you happy?
Is it the stars at night?
The sound of the chirping birds?
Or is it because you received a blessing?

Are you happy because your chicken already laid its first egg?
Or because you've been enrolled to a school?
Is it because you've been rewarded a new pair of slippers?
Or because you got what you wanted from the mall?

Are you happy because your mom allowed you to have an ice cream?
Or maybe because your dad brought you to Disneyland?
Is it because life taught you a new game today?
Or because you enjoy some game on your iPod?

Are you happy because you've perfected the taste of your coffee?
Is that grin because of a bet you've won?
So why? Tell me
Is it the fact that there's still fresh air that you're breathing?

Is it because you just finished a novel?
Or because you've composed a song yourself?
Are you glad that you've designed a perfect house for you?
Or because you gave yourself a car?

Are you smiling because of your high grades?
Is it because you made a new friend today?
Do you feel great for having an awesome pet?
Or is it because your family loves you so?

Why are your dimples showing off?
Is it because you feel God's presence?
Or is it because you can now smell justice ahead of you?
Is that what makes you happy?

So what exactly makes you happy?
Who created that rainbow in your eyes?
Are you happy because you feel it?
Or are you just happy because you say so?

An earthly existence
A universe beyond my minds, comprehension
I die
I rise
Life lessons reviewed
Homeward bound
I am not lost, after all!
I am a willing participant
Serving, the Father, of all creation
His son combined, ‘producing life’ as we know it
Representing them, in everything I do
I am nothing, without Love!
My heart full of faith, loyal service I give
Learning how to unconditionally serve, as the Father unconditionally, loves me
Worshipping our Divine Creator’s existence
Choosing to live, moment to moment
Being as one with ‘Our Universal Father’
No physical permanency
My physicality, disappearing
My mortality existence, I let go of
Death temporary
My spirit alive!
Relief, Peace
‘I am only passing through!’
A unique, experience of mortality
A gift, I am blessed to experience, to live!

BIRDS OF A FEATHER

We The poets, and songsters,
with pure hearts; Revolutionaries,
whom have lived and died for truth
will sit among us there.

Birds of a feather flock together;
Red ants go where red ants go.
Giraffes don't hang with the water Buffalo.

When you die, there will be no room where I am.
You have lived your life and worked your plans.
Now you want to be in the room with me.!
There will be no room in the room I am in.
We be the people of the lesser sins.
Oh, ye of pernicious deeds:

“Opprobrium” be the name posted
on the room's door that you'll share.
So, go inside and join your kind there.
This time will not be separated by Kin or skin.
But by the state of mind you kept your soul in.
So now go sit in a room named “OPPROBRIUM”.
You all there are of like minds,
and have committed archaic crimes.

Child molesters, murderers, thieves, and the like.
You shall smell each other’s stench forever.
And never sit among the righteous.

Surely you shan't find me,
because I am not your kind;
So, there is no room,
in our room for you.
Your mind and deeds,
dwell with the deleterious,
that's where you belong.

We be birds of the same feathers
shall sing a familiar song;
Water Buffalo shall roam with
Water Buffalo’s.
Red ants will go, where Red ants go;
Giraffes will water themselves
in different watering holes.

Me and my like-minded poets shall dwell
with righteous, like-minds and pure hearts,
laughing, reading, and enjoying
each other’s thoughts.
We who have intentionally done no harm;
Will continue to speak truth and
defy the reprehensible.
We will all cross over to the other
side, and seek our own kind.
Poets, truth-seekers, and
scholars shall exchange stories.
We will laugh, reminisce, and write.

This room be filled with us of the lesser
crimes, enjoying, adoring one another
for we all are of one mind.
At one, with one another and the
Creator; We are the Poets,
Storytellers, songsters,
chanting out our rhymes.

There is no room in our room,
for we are not your kind.
Birds of a feather flock together:
Like minds go where like minds go.
“Giraffes don't hang with the Water Buffalo”.
Take heed from the simple life, forget about equality.
The Creator then made man in his own image
designed by his own mind,
and placed each with their own Kind.

Sleep, little one, sleep,
as those who love you weep.
Your time on earth is sadly through;
tragic, you were only two.

Under mommy and daddy's watchful eyes,
a beast of enormous size,
attacked, snatched you lighting fast.
Your daddy tried to grab you but you slipped past.

The beast was just too strong,
and he held you down too long,
beneath the placid lagoon,
where you died too soon, too soon.

Your mommy and daddy are shocked and broken,
numb as condolences are spoken.
Their lives will never be the same,
each one taking on the blame.

Sleep, little one, sleep,
as those who love you weep.
In the arms of Jesus you now lie,
while the angels sing a lullaby.

Das Ein Männlein

The silent echo reflects through the lodge,
Ein Männlein Steht im Wlade ganz Still und Stum…
Repeating itself in the young boys head.
He is not yet a man, but stands proud enough to be,
Coming back here to relieve himself of his past.
Crying out as he reaches the splintering and tilted door.
The memories of the cold, the blistering cold overpower him.
He spends time collecting himself as the moon moves across the sky.

He had been here with his family-
Says the toppled dining room table.
He also wasn’t the only child in the lodge-
Says the curled up paper dolls in the fireplace.
There was music- Ein Männlein Steht im Wlade ganz Still und Stumm…
Echoes the toppled ivory-keyed piano in the corner.
There was a war, as the Russian Graffiti on the wall complains.
The crashed bomber-plane with the seat full of bones assures that fact.

He came back to the rotting lodge in the forest
Back to the overgrown pile of shambles to find something
As he digs he picks objects out of the rubble, a boar’s head, jewelry, dog-tags,
And finally the thing he seemed to have been searching for.
A baby’s bathtub, with a scrolled handle, stares at him through the dust.
What happened to the other child?
She still has all of her baby teeth in her sweet little baby head.
She’s been sitting in that bathtub ever since that horrible night.
When she was boiled to death by hungry war criminals.

“This Christ Child” shall the Savior be.
The animals have come around
to this mother name of Mary,
as angels make a joyful sound.

The animals have come around
the kings who traveled from far away.
As angels make a joyful sound
they must leave at the break of day.

The kings who traveled from far way
report that danger doth abound.
They must leave at the break of day.
Safety from Herod must be found. .

Reports that danger doth abound ,
sent to the Earth from Heaven above.
Safety from Herod must be found,
warnings for precious Child they love.

Sent to the Earth from heaven above,
to this mother name of Mary
warnings for precious Child they love.

God Knew Me Before I Was Born! God knew me, before I existed! He was there, before my name was listed! Before I was born, he had a divine plan! He was there, before I reached out my hand! Before I knew who I even was, or my name… His life for mine, way why his son came! Before I could put on my shoes and clothes… He had called me! It was I… That he chose! Before I was old enough to make up my own mind… He was there waiting! So patient and kind! Before I became an adult… I refused to believe! Whatever God offered... I didn’t want to receive! Before too long… I had my own family and home. But then family left me... And I was alone! Before God… I came, and cried and repented! The inside of my mind felt confused and tormented! Before I really knew what was actually going on… God reached inside and forgave me of past wrongs! Before the next day was coming about… I found a new love and peace throughout! Before God, I know that he’s changed me! I have found a new life for eternity! Won’t you come before God and accept him too? You’ll never know what he can do for YOU! By Jim Pemberton

Babies are born everyday, some stay, and the others god takes away without
a warning leaving us in shambles and dismay. We ask as parents why does god
give and then take away?

God, our hearts are broken, our bodies are beaten, our mind is in shock and
confusion. We ask our father in heaven, why is it that we have to pay for
someone else penilty, for someone else retribution, for this is not a fair
contribution.

My child of your children, for this is not a conviction. Let your healing began for
this was not because of your sin. Your child joins me in heaven, the place of the
forgiven. The place where wings are given.

For I am your child, for I know I was loved, the lord has chosen me from up
above. Don't cry mommy, don't cry daddy one day with out a maybe you will be
able to hold your angel baby.

A father looks down on his newborn child
a mirror of his image, concealing
a secret smile hiding among the stars
both seemingly absorbed
in metaphysical musings
taking time to enjoy
life's precious small pleasures.

How the heart can careen in his chest
to gaze into her eyes casting beauty like a spell
or a glow of starlight behind thin cloud
here is something spiritual that pierces the veil
into a world beyond this one- a smudge of heaven
for even a tiny fleeting second.

Beauty lamented when faced with that babyface O do give me more loveliness, with red lace! Such innocent eyes, Cunning and wise! The age of that baby girl Revolved around two in our world Yet, she was an attractive one Charming one, magnetic one None could get jealous of her beauty Except beauty itself in all simplicity If she was hungry, she ate like a bird If she was thirsty, she drank only curd If she fell while running, she stood and smiled If she cried, her surroundings made her not feel exiled! Dressed in her favourite red dress, She listened to old stories on her mattress And fell in deep slumber while dreaming of the Lord And how it is like in his peaceful abode! At two, this cute babyface, surrounded with black hair Could only jump and exalt at life without any care!

He told me “tell my son his father was a good man”, over and over.
He believed so I believed that the warmth of his last request would keep our hearts full until we
all meet again.
I hope heaven treats him kind; one of a kind that man.
On earth he was in mint condition; crisp as his shirt collar and smooth as silk sheets.
The only man of my dreams now exists there eternally.
In reality, my son’s much too young to know of death’s calling.
Besides, law abiding citizens shouldn't meet such misfortunes while the rest of the world frolics
in ungratefulness
Still as the world turns I will raise my fatherless child.

Boy asks priest:

Sir, I've seen spacemen that need to wear spacesuits because it's cold in outer space
do those who go to heaven also need spacesuits because of the cold?

Priest responds: No my son, souls do not feel the cold in heaven.

Boy responds: If souls cannot feel cold, how can they feel hot in hell

Good question
