The Promise's Beginning

Somewhere in midnight’s nocturnal hallways
As the chill settles down with starlight
While the world stands silent in waiting
There abiding with his flock walks the shepherd
Hopeful in thought and yet weary of foot
He moves his charges through the bite of night

His hope in the coming dawn lifts his burdens
Filling his minds eye with warm musings of tomorrow
In tones they beseech the day and challenge darkness
But through this constant cycle of shine and shadow
The guardian of the flock stands steadfast and waits

The promise begins as His voice appears cherubically
Falling in fear and praying for strength of faith
The radiance in the sky softens ever slightly
Speaking of the vow and announcing the messiah
Who brings the world a love and a hope yet tasted

Tremulous breath’s as the promise is spoken
Awing the greatness with a loving and respectful fear
Silent in belief beholding the coming miracle
He stirs the somnolent flock down the slopes
To bestow upon all the gift of this divine hour

His breath brittle’s the final icy moments of dusk
He labors the trail with renewed strength of heart
Proclaiming hushed gratitude within every step
A beacon of brilliance converges in the heavens
Beckoning his faithful west toward little Bethlehem

Dropping to his knees his face wetted in thanks
Finally understanding what is gripping his soul
He sees the precarious pathway laid before him
Though he has journeyed into the unknown before
None had brought with it a promise so precious

The Fallen Prince

I saw a fair young maiden, abandoned in her bed,
Tearful for the one she loved ,the one she chose to wed.

Who in a weakened moment tread, out to the mountain ledge,
Enticed by the knight in black, who brought him to the edge.

Come fly with me, the black knight said, " to a land of pure euphoria,
And let me show you wondrous things, that I can lay before you.

No more pain and no more strife, just endless days and endless nights
of wine and song and dance.

Come my prince ,come fly with me ,why not take a chance,
Forget your wife, come live your life ,it's time for new romance.

A tiny pill, is all it takes, a sniff of fine white powder,
Will keep you high, so you can fly up to the magic tower".

So ,the prince he ate the tiny pills and sniffed the fine white powder,
And soon he was addicted, to the magic of their powers.

Away he flew ,up to the moon, beyond the Milky Way,
Where stars came out and winked at him and beckoned him to play.

Everyday he ate the pills and sniffed the fine white powder,
But everyday...he needed more as they slowly lost their power,

And now he couldn't fly as high and that was terrible thing,
for there were more a more feathers missing from his wings.

Then one day ,while he flying, reaching for his dreams,
He felt the power leaving him ,and he began to scream.

Down and down and down he fell, crashing to the ground;;
Lost dreams and broken promises, lying all around.

And like a wounded bird with broken wings, that cease to flutter,
The truth rained down upon his head ,as he floundered in the gutter

Oh what a crazy fool he'd been, blinded by the knight,
Could he ever win her back ,and make the wrongs all right?

He cried and cried, into the night, regrets were his companions,
Until he heard the sound of hooves ,rumbling through the canyon.

Through tear-filled eyes, he saw a herd, of royal beauty stallions,
And perched upon ,their royal backs ,were knights in white so gallant.

Carefully ,they scooped him up ,and carried him away,
Into the East ,they rode from hell, for three long nights and days.

When long at last, with horses spent ,they reached their destination,
They placed him in the hands of God ,for this was His creation.

Great warmth began to fill his heart ,and light shone from his eyes,
He felt the gentle hand of God, and he began to cry.

Such happiness. he had never known. it lifted him so high,
He spread his wings, up to the sky ,and he began to fly.

Up to the sky, on mended wings, with angels all around him,
He heard the voice of God ring out, and totally surround him.

"I've done my part ,my fallen prince ,but the rest is up to you,
Fly straight and true, and don't look back ,no matter what you do.

Lead not thee to temptation son .for if you do, you'll die,
Fly straight and true, my fallen prince, or forever, cease to fly".

Will the prince ,journey home again ,to his fair and lovely maiden
Or, will temptation ,lead him back, to the evil Black Knight Satan?

Nature's Kiss~

Connecting with nature
Walking along I find peace…
Autumn leaves surround me
Crunching rhythms at my feet
I Step inside harmony ~

Brown leaves start swirling
A Tiny tornado forming
Admiringly…I stand glowing…
A mighty wind blows off my hat
Quickly…I wonder …what was that?

As I hold onto my head
It blows away end over end
Nature playing games instead
My gracious hat…ahead it blew
I ran after it fast and true~

Blown up against a Willow
Floppy hat blocked indeed
Tiny raindrops starting to fall
Cool drops kiss my cheek
Nature’s spirits forever speak ~

Ribcage

Split apart your ribcage,
Open up the corridor, and let me come in
Uneasiness instantly strikes through me
Let me sway away...
Let me flutter away...
Like a butterfly out of its cocoon
I'm trapped!Let me depart

Split apart your ribcage,
Unwrap me, let me go!
Believe me...reflect on me
Let me sway away...flutter away
Let us both seek the sun,
So we can grow together once more

Never Told You

Tired of talking
‘bout weather
Other trivial things

Tired of talking
‘bout food
The price of tangerines

You may outlive
This aging man
Before I go
Please understand

Never told you how
I love you
When I held you
In the dark

Never told you how
I love you
I was never
Very smart

I never told you how
I love you
When I kissed your
Baby face

Never told you how
I love you
And I pray it’s
Not too late

I would tell you,
“That’s what men do…manly men don’t say, ‘I love you’”
That was my alibi
But what men do should be corrected
What men do can’t be accepted
If it makes your woman cry

Tired of talking
‘bout scandals
Rumors of the day

Tired of talking
‘bout old mistakes
Who deserves the blame?

The Winter of our lives
Is drawing near
Let’s change it to Spring
From year to year

Now I’m telling you
I love you
Though the words are coming late

I’m telling you
I love you
And it feels so good to say

I’ll love you in the morning
Love you through the night
I will love you through the tears
And all the tragedies of life

I’ll stay with you forever
Love you every day
Love you, love you, love you
It feels so good to say

Love you, love you, love you, baby

Feels so good to say…..

Love

ECHOES FROM HOUSTON

From the wild western plains, I call unto thee my sister of the poetic heart,
Where have thee gone, swallowed whole by a desert storm, or lost amongst
The tumble weed of discontent.
Let the blazing heart of Texas yield thy freedom’s liberation, come home to
The pages of this sacred internet outpost, we miss your shining star, called
Friendship that you gave unto us, Linda, the poet destroyer.
From the depth of the very waters of the Ohio Basin I do call,
Let my voice be heard unto one and all, against the breath of the
Winds of dust, hear me my sister poet, let the soundings crash ripple
Like a wave upon the ocean of sand, echoing across the aroid landscape
Of Houston, we miss you come home!!
Oh upon hell’s storm the night winds do shudder and shake, with
Leaving inspirations heart to ache, what festering wounds have thy
Left behind thee, without our muse we are just the blind wondering
In the darkness of our own thoughts, unable to write with strengths endurance,
Any longer.
Behold a phantom shade am I, a thin wisp of breeze melting beneath the
Desert sun, seeking a mirages illusion known as my sister poet, Called
Linda, the poet destroyer.
A vintage portrait of my former self, without your words of wondrous
Expression my colors run together, and bleed asunder from my canvas once
So miraculous.
But here in my winter of ice cold, in this chamber of the frozen soul,
I call unto you, with one last icy blast of breath come home, unto us,
Don’t let us freeze in this dungeon warm us instead with your words
Of kinship, and friendship.
Let my words echo unto Houston, Texas, let our Linda answer our hailing,
So inspirations sisterhood can breathe once more a sigh of relief at last.

Pursue Love

Pursue love,
the love that has no meaning,
the silver ports of the moon,
shine so bright,
that it blinds you in the twilight
she is beautiful and she is divine
she is the song sang by the sweet nightingales
in the gardens of worthy, overgrowning and blooming roses,
like wildfire grow tall and the thornes of the vines
tangle around her feet and drag her ever so slightly
throughout the garden of beauty.
As the roses lay along a table,
as she sits at the table
and she waits for me, the wordman
to come to the dinner table at the stroke of nine
and sit with her,
start a scene or two of romantic setting,
to pursue love in her name.
Love is around us,
the candlelight shines and reflects in her silk hair,
as her evening dress glitters and shines
and her bossom shows itself in the nightsky
as we lay together,
we pursue a dream together,
forever we live together forever,
as we stand upon the belcony of Romeo and Juliet's love scene
we swim in a pool of sweet divine care and love,
we swallow grapes and drink wine
hand and hand on Persian rugs and virgin white cloth sheets,
we dance to a simple, yet sweet Chopin's masterpiece
of his beautiful nocturnes,
which make such a sweet and romantic song in our heads.

We stomp out the flames
as we dance the night away,
and you lay in my arms,
and I kiss you upon your lovely head,
and you hold my hand,
and I hold you tight
never thinking of letting your love go away from me,
I would take my own life,
before I lose your love.
See us together,
it is a painting that lasts lifetimes,
that needs no touch-ups.
I care for you and love you!
Love me, I know you will.

My sweet and loving portrait lady,
who in reality is more beautiful than a fully bloomed rose
that sits on its green stem,
in the garden of beauty that sits outside my window.
Come up to my chambers
as I picked roses for you and pettles litter the atmosphere
as love's tension grows
and suspence brings us together,
let us make love tonight
seal the passion
and pursue love once and for all.

Then shall we wake with the first rays of the blazing of the morning sun,
I shall wake next to your beauty and glory,
and I shall point my attention to the heavens
and thank the Gods for sending you on the open road,
toward my chamber door, I call my heart.
Then we shall dress, and walk the pathways
in the garden of beauty
and I shall pick a bauquet of roses
and we shall sit by the lake and pursue our love
for one another
and nothing, not one earthquake shall shake us apart.

The True Love of a Man

When I was just a little girl, I dreamed I’d meet a knight. He’d proudly wear his shining armor, and guard me day and night. I kept on dreaming half my life and searched as I grew. Until I found my knight one day, I found my knight in you! Before our paths crossed that day, my struggles had been great. But when I laid my eyes upon you, I thought it must be fate. You gently got to know me and embraced me as a friend. And as our friendship grew in time, we knew it wouldn’t end. As our lives were set in motion, we climbed mountains and sailed seas. And as we’ve shared our lives together, we’ve blended with such ease. Our friendship grew as years passed by into such an enduring love. This thing we have together now was blessed from God above! I know we both have said it. We feel it in our souls. We’ve devoted our lives to each other, and together we’ll grow old. The love we share is very rare, and should be held with high esteem. For some may only find this kind, only in their dreams. This is what God planned for us, to live here on this land. To be the best we both can be, walking through it hand in hand. Even when our roads seem rough, we must have a faith that lasts. We’ll smile as we share many today’s, and reflect gladly on our past. I hope I’ve touched your life my love, as much as you’ve touched mine. For this is the love I’ve always dreamed of, a love both gentle and kind. I believe we meet our “soul mate” only once in our lives. This blessing from God has come to us, I’m proud to be your wife. With all this said my poem will end. A poem for my love, who is also my friend! I want to thank you with all that I am, For showing me Darling, the true love of a man!
With all my love, Michelle Merry Christmas – December 2006©

Frank Todo French-Fry

This is the story of the daredevil, Frank Todo French-Fry. He thought he was special, thought he could fly But one day he was taken and placed on my plate He did not want to be eaten; he did not want this fate So, with hope and courage he leapt to the floor I was sad a fry had fallen from my plate, but it was okay ‘cause I had more I picked up this fry, set him aside on a napkin to throw him away later But my best friend Laura wanted to keep him, give him something greater And thus he became, Laura’s pet fry Known forever as Frank Todo French-Fry And he lives in a small purse Where he continually rehearses a blank verse He ages, and decays, safely tucked away Glad to have been saved that fateful day From being eaten, tossed in the trash, or even forgotten Now his moldy potato frame, is bandaged and rotten But Frank Todo French-Fry still lives To this very day, somewhere misplaced in storage, he still lives

WORLD OF WHITE AND BLUE

Sea of blue,
crags of white,
bitter wind,
majestic sight

For this is world of white
and blue
white mountains of ice,
blue sea salty and true

midnight sun on icy wastes,
cool reflected light,
pristine wilderness,
not to everyone's taste

Stark white cold,
wind eroded columns of ice
roar of wind
roar of sky

Icebergs scattered in the blue
raw wind strips me bare,
the environment does not care....
about you.

Sea,sky and ice,
nature's freezing cocktail,
untameable wilderness,
man cannot sacrifice.

Pure elements,
to touch the senses

Inhospitable sea,sky and ice,
its very extremes,
to prevent men of this world
carrying out their dreams

Pure cold energy roaring,
with bitter intent,
gulls soaring,
men......spent

Nature's cold refuge,
from man and his dreams.
White armour protects,temperature deflects,
man's subterfuge

white mountain,
white water,
white wind

Blue sea,
blue sky,
blue wind
world of white and blue

If the Lord Be Willing

If The Lord be willing,
Well so then I am too!
I’ll be sending out His healing,
Some for Him and some for you!

If the Lord be willing,
Well then I’m thrilling!
I’ll be sending out a clue.
One is yellow and one is blue.

If the Lord be willing,
Then I’ll be chilling!
Well bent on kneeling,
Atop of His own ceiling!

And that will just have to make my perfect due!
Because He came through me just to get to you!

Twirl The World

Back in the mind of times
See it for what I find
 Twirl the world
While it spins I can twirl the world
I'm bringing back the old days
 Seeing these brutal type ways
 Twirl the world
While it spins I can twirl the world

 I can see my future
 Standing alive
 Walking amongst deadly ways
 And yet I still thrive
 My message is very clear
 From beginning to end
 Enemies and foes amongst me
 Yet who is my friend
God told me not to worry
 In time I will tell
All that you need to know
 To do things well
 The key is very simple
Nothing in life comes for free
 Determination is what I find
 In this mystery
I have got my head in the clouds
So time will not pass me by
 Wondering what I need
But if I would only try
Where I am going from here
 Nobody really knows
I guess I will try to keep it simple
 In my next tomorrow

Back in the mind of times
See it for what I find
 Twirl the world
While it spins I can twirl the world
I am bringing back the old days
 Seeing these brutal type ways
 Twirl the world
While it spins I can twirl the world

I am standing in the midst of a sea clear, bright, and blue
 I am looking for somebody
But I do not know who
I need answers to solve daily problems
So I go to the man
 Who keeps the world revolving
 If I am in Him
 And He is in me
 A crucial door just opened
 So now I can see
I am on the outside and still looking in
Praying for answers daily in this battle I win
The war will be over soon
But I will still enjoy time of peace
 Knowing it starts within me
To keep my mind at ease
So go on and put the globe down
On my finger let it spin
And that is the very message
 That I have to send
 So that everyone will know
 Who is in control
 As the story unfolds
 In the hand God holds

Back in the mind of times
See it for what I find
 Twirl the world
While it spins I can twirl the world
I am bringing back the old days
 Seeing these brutal type ways
 Twirl the world
While it spins I can twirl the world
 I can twirl the world
While it spins I can twirl the world

CIRCLES OF EAGLES

On sunlit wings
I travelled
High above the earth,
in the realm of spiritual beings

Mighty mountains
and cool streams
Azure oceans
I live my dreams
I live my emotions

I am but a feather,
beginning to fly
My body
My heart,
carried high

Clouds of purest snow
Golden sun
I passed below

Another day,
in the blue
You could have it too
Come up if you may

Circles of eagles,
in the blue
You are all with me too
High above,
clouds of purest snow
Together we flew

Such love,
in such golden light
Circles of eagles,
above clouds of purest white

The higher I flew
I met people I lost too
My father,
wings aglow
Beside me,
golden bright
Circles of eagles
High in the light

A spiritual place,
high above
Touching space
Such love,
in golden light
Circles of eagles,
in flight

The End of the Feud, Part II

But later that night the girl tip-toed out,
And went down to the registry desk.
She picked up the ledger, poured through it all,
There was something that she had to check.

Back upstairs she went, content to wait
Her quarry had not yet arrived.
He loved was awake, and smiled at her
The kind the makes a man feel alive.

She smiled back and asked for his name,
She’d forgotten to ask in the rush.
He said ‘Clarence Stone,’ and out came her gun,
And she pointed it straight at his gut.

She said,’My name is Ellie-May Burton,
Sent out two months ago on this path,
To track down a Stone who ran to the west,
Hoping to escape our wrath!’

But he heard a catch in her harsh tone,
And in her gun-hand a slight shiver.
He couldn’t forget the warmth of her touch,
So one final chance her did give her:

He nodded and said,’Then fire away,’
With a coldness that made the soul quake.
The gun fell from her hands, and she lit out,
Running from the hotel without break.

Come morning he road, pointed northwest
Unnerved, but his decision remained,
To return to Kentucky and die in a feud
Was a choice not made by the sane.

In the bright prairie light a rider appeared,
A familiar woman on a mare.
She rode up slowly, face red form tears,
No weapon upon him did bear.

He moved closer slowly, hand on his gun,
But she said,’Clarence, there’s no need.
I’ve been thinking all night on what I’m to do
Of the future and of dark deeds.’

‘Of a good man who stood, fought by my side,
And put on a fine show in bed.
Yet my family demands, for forgotten crimes
That I put a bullet in his head.’

‘Perhaps it is best, what you’re doing now,
Riding out a free man to the wild.
To be ride of the hate that has put kin in graves,
Since the days when I was a child.’

‘They say that a woman needs a good man,
And the good men need themselves a wife.
I may not be so good, but I think you and I
Could ride out and build ourselves a life.’

Then she went silent, he waited and thought
Of the chances and of the risks.
But the pain in her eyes told the whole truth
She he rode close and planted a kiss.

They moved out at a trot, both realizing that
Amongst the worst you sometimes find the best,
And to this very day countless Burton-Stones
Are scattered all over the west.

The End of the Feud, Part I

Clarence Stone stepped into the saloon,
Tired from long days on the trail.
He was riding on west to far Idaho,
Where land awaited, spacious and hale.

He was fleeing a feud that had consumed
The families of Burton and Stone.
Rather than die for an old hate,
He had set out with all that he owned.

Inside the bar one thing he did espy:
A woman beautiful and tanned,
With flowing black hair and emerald eyes,
Dressed in the jeans of a man.

Why such a woman was here, he didn’t know,
But she clearly seemed to belong.
She tossed back whiskey and joined the choir
Of the men’s raucous, cow-punching songs.

Stone went for a drink, and sat at the bar
Planning out the rest of his night,
When a man shouted ‘cheat,’ and all sprung up
The saloon gave itself over to fight!

Stone swung as they came, holding his own,
And the woman just off to his right,
Danced and dodged, kicked and swung,
Shrieking loudly her delight…

But her speed failed, and job it got through,
She stumbled, fell back to the floor.
So bold Clarence charged, bull-rushed the man,
Who whimpered and cried out,’No More!’

He helped the girl up, but she grabbed his neck,
And slammed him into a deep kiss.
She broke with a grin, and turned to the fray
Saying,’Come on! Let’s go finish this!’

Ten minutes later they both stumbled out
Sweaty with hard-fought victory.
Stone tried to move off, but she grabbed his wrist
Saying,’Oh No! You’re not done with me!’

They went to her hotel, hurried and hot
And up the grand stair-case did tear.
I won’t go into detail on what happened next,
For a gentleman doesn’t go there…

Your Mistake

'Love is patient'
'Love is kind'
The thought of love
Can turn you blind.

But... Now we must
Take some steps
To verify those
Deep regrets.

The first problem you see
Was that. . .
He lied about
You being fat

That in turn
Led ya to
Beleiving that
He 'accepted' you.

Mirrors were made
For a darn good reason
And thinking you are nothing special
Is high, high treason...

But no!
He's perfect
And no! He's kind
Seriouslly sister
You've lost your mind.

The recipe to love Is that
You have to love your self.
It's not about your facial features
Or the size of ya belt.

The man should be a rock to lean on
And not! A heartless swine.
So please next time. Do pick him wisely
Make sure he has a spine!

He Loved You

He loved you too, you know
Loved you like his very own
In away you were
You came into his life as my friend
Through the years you grew to be my brother in arms
Along the way you became the son he never had

He loved you as a friend
He loved you even more as a son
A son he never had
When things began to spiral out of control
You stayed when so many others ran away
You helped when I couldn’t

You meant a great deal to him
You never looked at him differently
Nor did you treat him differently
You stood by his side
When he fell, you stood by his side and mine
You were willing to help me fight his battle for him
You were there from the beginning
You were there until the bitter end
Always remember my friend, my brother
He loved you more than you’ll ever know

Generic Minds

generic minds listen to generic music
have generic thoughts that are unknowingly abusive
watch generic things talk about generic things
gee this generic *****is spreading like a disease
better get your flu shot
thats what they said to me
a suicidal vaccine
a subliminal killing spree
its contagious and the outrageous
thing about it is that the people are blind in an eye
that they didn't even know they had
it's sickening to watch these clueless civilians
inside the looking glass
with nightmares of being free
without a key to their mind
for it is trapped in the frequency
in the illusion of time
bathed in our universe
killing all that refuse to see
those that admit to hypocracy
or see the message in hip hop
how cant you see
the message in the lyrics that
bring adolescents to their knees
from bullet wounds conflicting their flesh
contradicting that they're the best
but the songs keep telling them that they dont need no rest
that they dont wanna go home
that they should ride alone
with the gat as their only companion
and so the only path they choose is the one that they're told
until they grow old and hope turns to a window pane
inside a window pane, until all they feel is pain
they realize that the music itself is ashamed
so whats to look up to
when you cant even speak when you cant even walk because you look so bleak
your eyes are sunken from the tv you're infested with the dee zees
now its too late to turn around and live for your conscious
so when youre screaming oh please
close your eyes and bring your mind to life
open your eyes for the first time
and never wonder why
since the answer this entire time
has been inside
and you better find it before you die
you dont want your soul to be in a pool with all the others
a buncha brothers missing their mothers
but only seeing strangers
only feeling the haters
wishing they would have used their minds when they had them
and now its too late,
now it's time for another new born fate to grab them

OUR GOD IS ABLE

our God is able to provide all of our needs
for it was in us that He planted His very seed
no matter what's happening in life no matter how hard are the days
God is able to keep us uplifted as we journey on our way
in the midst of the storms in the midst of moments of despair
give God all the glory that you are even still here

during August 2011 we went through a lot of stuff
an earthquake, a hurricane and then flooding water enough is enough!
many called on the name of God and many cried out for Christ
but why when everything is going good God's not a part of their lives?
what many fail to grasp is that God is always here
and we need to talk to Him daily not only in times of despair

for our God is able to keep food on our tables
our God is able to keep us upright
to maintain and sustain us through each day and night
and if you woke up this morning give God all the praise
and if you have a job in this recession let your hands to Him be raised
and if your children are doing just great
go and worship Him in any house of faith
God is able to maintain all that you've acquired
and give Him the thanks for fulfilling your desires
just don't think that this world is all about you
for it was by the grace of God that you pulled through
and if you're blessed with a pension of a 401K
give God the thanks that it came your way

our God is able to keep us from falling down
as our faith in Him keeps us on higher ground
so grab on to the hand of God let His glory manifest in you
stay in the presence of God and follow the path designed for you
and when your money gets funny and your change becomes strange
let the blessings of the Lord get your finances rearranged
and when it comes to finding that soul mate in life
let the God who is able send you a child of Christ
bow down to His wisdom, bow down to His authority
as you allow His glory and majesty to come unto thee

our God is able to keep us from going astray
so in life it is unto Him that we should pray

Kraving too many of these treats
I want some now! But...I might get beeefy...
Every bite is mouthwatering, soft and crisp

It feels good to scream

It feels good to scream.
Too shout to the top of your lungs,
with all your might,
with all your pain,
with all your air,
that fills your black lungs
damaged by years of cigarette smoke,
to feel your dieaphram expand
to feel your chest expand,
to feel your heart skip a couple beats,
thump. thump. thump.
Put you face to the pillow
breath in. Let it all come out.

Let

it

all

come

out!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
Feel the lunatic release from your head
free the demons from your soul.

Let

it

all

out!!!

Scream like there is no tomorrow,
feel the pain go away.
It feels good to scream,
to get it all out.
Then light a cigarette,
breath in
drink whiskey,
red wine,
sit at a hunched over position,
at a typewriter
and scream with words on paper
and go down and get your screams published.
Then everyone can read, and hear your screams
and not just your neighbors.

Let

it

all

out!!

It feels good! Trust me. It feels good.

It feels good to let it all out,
let it out,
don't deny yourself freedom
let it all go,
free yourself,
free your tourmented soul,
fill your cancer filled, black lungs
expand your chest,
crack your sternum
and feel the pain go.
Let it all go.

Let

it

all

out!!

It feels good to scream!

Two's Magic Nose

Such a nose had Ol’ Blue.
Best in south Missouri... everybody knew.
Could smell a pheasant across the plain.
Could point a covey in a hurricane.
That’s the way the legend goes.
Ol’ Blue had a “magic nose.”

As Blue got older, his master’s mind would drift away
To a place where he and young Blue used to play.
In the mornings, sitting over his coffee cup
He found it sad there were no pups.
He thought it would be such a shame
If the only memory was Ol’ Blue’s name.

So, Jim was compelled and full of pride;
He made a search, far and wide,
To find Ol’ Blue a suitable mate.
No doubt, his offspring would be great.
It seemed likely, he supposed,
At least one pup would have his “magic nose.”

She was a Champion Miss from New Orleans,
A beautiful “red” named Cajun Queen.
But Blue suddenly passed away, before the pups were born.
Jim was broken hearted. He and “Queenie” mourned.
Then came the litter, but there was only one.
Jim struggled for hope; after all, he was Ol’ Blue’s son.

Dappled and lanky, a handsome little cuss,
He looked just like Blue. Jim made such a fuss.
Naming this pup would require no ado.
It was obvious. Officially, he would be “Blue Two.”
Oh yes, these were mighty large tracks to fill.
“Can he?”, folks asked. Jim would say, “Heck yes he will!”

So his nickname became “Two” and he seemed to be smart.
Soon it was time for his training to start.
The basics went well, but Jim’s outlook grew very dim
When, instead of pointing, Two would wag and jump and bark at him.
Oh, Two seemed to be trying; but try as he might,
He just could not seem to ever get it right.

“Blue’s son or not, he’s got to go!”
Jim found Two a “pet home” far away, in Tupelo.
On his way back, he stopped in Texarkana.
Been too long a time since he’d seen his sister Hannah.
Six days and six pounds later, he was back on his way.
Work at the farm was callin’ and he’d be drivin’ all day.

He thought about Ol’ Blue and wondered if and when
He’d ever have a birddog as good as Blue again.
Oh, he knew another “magic nose” was just a far off dream;
After all, it wasn’t something any man could scheme.
A “magic nose” was a gift from God, only given to a few;
And he was proud and very lucky just to have known Ol’ Blue.

As he turned into his drive, he broke into a smile.
“Why… I can’t believe it! It…It must be 300 miles!”
Two was on the porch, thin and dirty; but he struck a handsome pose.
Jim ran and hugged Two hard. “How’d you get back? Lord only knows!”
Suddenly Jim realized; and struck with awe, he slowly rose.
A tear trickled to his smile. “Why Two… you have a “magic nose!”

Two and Jim are best of friends, together everywhere.
From milkin’ cows to bedtime, Two is always there.
Jim doesn’t hunt much anymore, now Two’s a rescue dog.
Just last month, he saved a little girl lost in Cooley’s Bog.
Jim struts and tells proud, heroic stories;
While Two wags and jumps and barks, and shares his glory.

Jim boasts, “Like father, like son!”, then speaks fondly of Blue;
But all know the largest tracks to fill are those of Two.
His deeds are known far and wide,
And fill Jim’s heart with love and pride.
For with every rescue, the legend grows;
About a dog named Two, and his “magic nose.”

The Job Interview

The HR person called me in… I was turning gray… Was he even twenty-one?
I wondered if the interview would go well, as he did fung shui the chairs around.
Offered a caramel expresso mocha late decaf, I told him I took my coffee black.
Alas my friend, it got progressively worse, this: our proverbial generational gap.

He asked me to explain, how I’d be the best personnel fit, for this illustrious job.
Ah! Experience I had in abounds, as I pulled out a 100-page resume, neatly bound.
That question, had me off and running, but I knew, I was in some trouble when…
I saw his eyes glaze over, and he ask me, ‘Have we made it into space yet?’

He smirked, when he ask, about ‘Recent’ applicable education, in the last 5 years.
I condensed my course certifications till he nearly fell off, his crazy chair, my dear!
He ask the projects worked on, unfortunately, all were government secret classified.
So I added some of the numerous skills, that had been applied, till he almost cried.

I started with the job descriptions, but he didn’t like… that the names were so long.
And the abbreviations normally used, in this line of work, almost blew his mind.
Though I also got the feeling, he may have thought that I’d finally, lost mine, since…
My accomplishments had scads of stuff he’d never, ever, be able to comprehend...

You know, ‘things’ about the job, HR doesn’t care about or bother to be clued in.
Luckily all was saved, before the interviewers’ jaw, hit the floor around his chair.
Using a power point presentation, illustrations appeared, giving him a better clue.
I even gave him a burned DVD, set to the music of ‘Live Free or Die Hard’, too.

He ask about items, he’d never heard of, you know, from way before he was born.
But got the feeling he’d be more attentive, talking about a computer game going on.
I didn’t lie about a thing, it’s not my fault some Companies are now closed down!
But I felt things were somewhat a success, as security finally came to lead me out…

Unfortunately, in the end, they hired a young one, and I couldn’t understand why.
He was a quiet, little, studious kid, who didn’t say a thing, but had stars in his eyes.
He didn’t understand any of the work involved, but his pay would be next to none.
But that's whom they got: until that company closed for work that couldn’t be done.

All because the HR Department didn't help them get the workers they did need.
I became self-employed, developing computer games, all the rage! Oh So Sweet!
Yes, I became a millionaire, with my own company, without HR, anywhere seen!
Now, we develop rockets to go into space, where I felt, that HR person should be.

Dedicated to all those Middle aged people stressed out after looking for a job.

Rainbow

imagine the rainbow being
the dark tunnel
you've been stuck in for years

the lighthouse on the horizon,
the beam
that gets brighter as it nears

get soaked in the rain,
feel the sun in your heart,
let go of all your fears.

The Rising Red sun

Inspirational poem.. Rising Golden red sun all its way..dedicated to all
                               of you guys..wrote by Mrs.Madhavi.Suyog.Pagare

                                          The Rising Red sun

As like the charming moon and luminous star fades away.
It promises to send the dynamite sun shining in the sky.
Due to which oceano pearl glitters all the day.
Praying god for the happiness in all our way.

The morning sagas made me understand, Me and my vivacious life.
But When I look back and pick up the souvenir of my childhood. Its just nostalgic. Feel like to go back to the teenage. The sustained pain is the only option left that I can’t get those days of my innocence back.
All I could make up my mind and just say, move on. Just move on.

Ray of hope chimed my heart.
Because god gifted me Something and added in my cart.
Provided me and my sincerity towards work can’t depart.
From the very day uplifted to give a quick start.

The moment I realized the magnetising power of the sun.
Felt trust on it and renovated my life again by attenuating my pains.
Rest all I expect peace my thee.
Left with the ray of hope. Bless us MY god, My lord !!!!!

Angels With One Wing

 Angels with one wing.
 Angels with one wing,
we are all Angels only with one wing.
 Hold my hand.
 Hold my hand,
 so we can fly.
 Lets fly.
 Push me away.
 Push me away,
 please don't push me away.
Fore if we are in the sky,
 we will surely die.
Or, if we stand on ground,
we just push ourselves in circles.
 Come back to me.
 Come back to me,
 lets fly.
 Lets fly.
 Angels with one wing.
