If I could write

If I could write just one more time
fill a page with different rhymes
make discoveries with pen and mind
of what I'd say if given the time
If I could write just one more time
using words that best describe
reaching inside the inner mind
finding feeling just like mine
If I could write just one more time
My love would be my greatest crime
To steal your heart or defend your honor
My hidden love I'd wish you to discover
If I could write just one more time
I write of heaven that's yours and mine
And I'd make heaven a wonderful place
My two favorite things your love and Gods grace

In the dream world where reality becomes a fantasy
And fantasy becomes reality.

The impossible is made possible and death becomes no threat. Mountains turn to a plain ground and are surmountable.

In the dream world I can do the impossible and see the invincible. I can spread my wings, soar and fly through the clouds reaching the altitude of my fortune and destiny.

In the dream world I am unstoppable and unquestionable, conquering all my adversaries. The treasures of this world are at my disposal, kings and kingdoms are my subjects.

In the dream world wishes don’t count but choices are made. That is why I have made the choice to have you as mine forever. In my dream world where there is no pain but gain, no distress but fortress, no cross but crown.

Rain Man

we got a lot of rain man's wearin ray bands tryin to shake hands
with baked fans it a staged plan to get carly rea pants in front of a video tape.
stumblin mumblin bumblin fools trying to get paid
To say f this chick and f that one
whatever absurd word that flows right off of this tongue
got a dirty mouth, here is some orbitz gum
im sweatin bullets and i cant even afford a gun
but its so free if i want to abort my son then take his lungs
so i can be one hundred and forty one
and be here to see the thwarting of the sun

mr. obama who've worn out your welcome
But what do I know? I'm this republicun
who thinks all girls and boys should become
either a monk or nun and never cum
and pay for all of our condoms and pregnancy prescriptions
Or am I christian who cant have fun
because I know hun its wrong to drink coke and rums
till i am drunk and wait for the ring to get buns
then go condemn kids with weed and pokemon

And its sad to think this what our kids believe
cause this what they preach on the MTV
and their heart beat beats to each tweet and re-tweet
till a pick leaks online then they move on to vines
whatever better trend setter that stimulates the mind

Gently You Speak

Gently You Speak
You speak so gently inside my heart
So quiet and still, I hope we don't depart
So gently you speak
So quiet but deep
You speak so gently
Deep down in my heart
Please help me hear
Your words so sweet
Please Jesus speak
So gently in my heart.

A Write to My Husband My Hero in Iraq

Entry for Mystic Rose’s Contest~A Write to Our Heroes~Written by Gwendolen

To My dearest Sweetheart,

Hello dear. It’s me again. I haven’t slept well since you left for Iraq. I don’t think I’ll
ever sleep well again til you are back home in my arms again. Dear, do you know
what you did with the keys to the shed? I was trying to fix the kitchen sink and I
needed the plumber’s wrench that you always kept at your side. I also wanted to
know if our home owner’s insurance is current? Do you see how every little detail of
my life you are in the middle of it? Even though these are small potatoes, when I
think of them I think of you because you and I have always been the dynamic duo.
Life partners forever!
Darling, I had a dream about you last night. It was the most vivid dream as though
you were sleeping right next to me. We were on a golden beach in heaven and
there were sea gulls all around us. These birds were singing songs of adoration to
God Jehovah and we were singing along with them. Each sea gull was keeping
perfect harmony and we were echoing their words. It was a most amazing dream.

When you get back home we must go back to the place where we had our
honeymoon and get a fresh start. I want our marriage to be the best gift ever and
I want to start all over from the very beginning getting a “do over” so to speak.
Every mistake we have ever made in our marriage I want to do it over the right
way this time. What do you think about this, dear? Let us throw our past behind us
and start all over like a new sunrise with a new hope. I forgive you for all the times
you have walked out on me and the children. I also have learned to forgive myself
for all the times I was unfaithful to our wedding vows. I have no problems speaking
candidly from my heart because it is washed new from the blood of our Savior
Jesus Christ. He has done a wonderful transformation in my life, and I want to
share Him with you when you return home. Our family is now covered by the blood
of Jesus from you while you are serving the United States Army on the battlefield
there in Iraq to little Jimmy when he is playing here on the playground in San
Antonio. Our entire family is covered beneath the Almighty Creator’s protection! I
wanted to share that with you, dear.

I love you so much! Not a single moment goes by that I don’t think of our fresh
beginning. I hope you want it as much as I do.
Always your loving spouse. Yearning for you to come back home to me and our two
beautiful sons.

Abigail (your rose)

Hello It's Jesus

“Hello It’s Jesus"

I’m 6’ 3" and 220lb man and He brought me to my knees,
Yes it was Jesus

I wasn’t the kind of man who would follow anyone,
I did follow Jesus

But when Jesus touched my heart and blessed me and I fell to my knees and I cried,
I believe in and love Jesus

You can’t see Him or touch Him, He’s like a breeze that covers our land,
Yes I know Him its Jesus

Strong enough to rule the heart of any person,
Yes to Jesus

He’ll lift you up and you’ll see all around as He turns your life inside out,
Yes that’s Jesus

Most people are like me and they struggle day in and day out, with doubt,
Cause by satan

Too busy with having fun and playing games to care about the love and care He can give them, or
To listen to Jesus

When I see children with their mother I thank God our Father for our Brother,

This Battle in My Head

Why do I feel so alone?
Why must I have this feeling,
when His love is shown?
Why am I crying?

I hate how I deal
with everything thrown at me.
Why must I feel
like there's nothing I can achieve?

I know He's here,
and I know He cares,
but I always fear
that no one's there.

I feel as if
everyone will leave me.
Almost as if
no one loved me.

When I know
everyone cares...
It's just hard to show,
I just wish they were fair.

I cry almost every night,
thinking of how to die,
of how this came into my sight,
how to say goodbye.

I'm sorry.
I know this isn't right.
I've just been lonely,
all I want to do is to stop this fight.

A world of Words

they intrigued me

they made me laugh

they told me endless, illicit, Stories

of events that could or may not have

taken place

spoken in just the right tone

won (one) could believe

in just about anything...

uttered, just before a kiss

yelled, out loud

as a preacher bells out

thunder and Theology

given in youthful haste

with Criticism

of wisdom

tainted with lies

endless words

and words use to make others believe

and, do wrong, to there fellow man/woman

My Dear Friends

My dear friends,
you may be afraid of an end,
afraid of the truth of life,
afraid to even use a knife.

For you know it can be used for more than food,
it is more bad than good,
but you know not to do things like that...
know to never turn your back.

For you love Him,
you don't want to lose Him,
but my dear friends...
I had went to the end.

I had done things I haven't told you.
I don't know if you want me to be true,
for I haven't been real...
haven't told you how I really feel.

I have been going through a battle all on my own,
always thought I was alone.
Even when I knew I had God,
I never really was with your God.

I don't want you to make the same mistakes,
for I believe that I am fake.
Don't believe a word I say...
if you did, you'd just walk away.

My dear friends
do not fear, this is not the end.
I will get better,
and become another.

My dear friends,
I will not come to an end.
I will come back,
and I promise that.

My dear friends,
please make your amends,
and live your life.
Put away that knife.

The Journey

From time immemorial your story began
A hundred, a thousand, a million years and more
Your story past written a character just one
The tale of you bleeds into all

Each story unique while pieces the same
Today, tomorrow, millennia expended and gone
Your story continues passed first to no last
The tale of you bleeds into all

Through love and hate, laughter and death
Minutes and seconds grew to decades and days
The story being written you wrote each day
The tale of you bleeds into all

Memories endure through dream and remembrance
Yesterday is gone but tomorrow you live on
Your story yet written a character more than one
The tale of you bleeds into all

Your stories the fires shall never consume
A past, a future, a present goes on
The story you wrote lives forever in your love
The tale of you bleeds into all

The Poet

~*~ The Poet ~*~

Creating letters
Creating thoughts
Designing sequences
The ultimate plot
The world’s greatest Poet
The universe’s most powerful Pen
The ink is His love
It has no end…

He is the Author of time
He is the Finisher of this age
The Creator and the endeavors of His heavenly pen
He poetically painted my life with love
He designed it in rhyme and with compassion
He walked me through each stanza
He even made a refrain when things were good
He cut a sentence short when my heart was in pain
He is the ultimate Poet
He is my Heavenly Father
I am His greatest audience
I try to read every line of His work in His Holy Book

The Poet's Task

A poet is a man with words,
And words a weapon are.
His words are sharply stropped and so
He makes them travel far.
He makes them cover many miles,
Emotive ones at that,
Digest those miles, absorbs their styles,
Gestate them, thinking back.
Then, having indigestion, our
Young poet now must crumble,
Or re-invest those travelled words
In a new song, strong but humble.
He reaches in to get the feel,
He crawls to depths un-shared.
He wonders is that’s all there is
And dances with despair.
But he reaches out to touch
The great Designing Hand
By whom all things were made, who took
That great creative stand,
Whose mind spun wildly when He thought
Of making man like Him,
With vivid sensitivities,
A heart to reach and dream.
He stretches, and the Hand is there
To touch and know the power
Of gentle sensitivity
In this harmonious hour.
He starts to write he knows not what,
Marvels at the sight
Of these rich words that tumble out
In order neat and tight,
The words are sharp. They know their place.
Their rhythms dance and play.
He dances too, though the tune is new,
The words make no delay.
They place themselves before his eyes.
His eyebrows on the rise,
His eyes wide open watching while
His hand the keyboard plies.
He takes a breath before he reads
What he has written down.
His heart expands, and satisfied,
He thinks of what he had inside
And finds it grandly multiplied
While he seems just the clown.

I was lounging in plain sight,
He appeared and said “Write!”
I said, “Paper is fresh out,”
Legal pads, college-lined, and rose-scented paper
suddenly delivered in fresh stacks all about,
Then He vanished in a foggy purple vapor.

Again I began lounging outright,
He reappeared and told me to “Write!”
I said, “Pen just ran out of ink,”
Ballpoints, gel pens with comfort grips,
feathered quills and inkwells came about in a blink,
Then He disappeared like the sun during an eclipse.

Once more He was there. “Write,” He said.
I replied, “I am afraid to see what’s in my head.”
He said, “Don’t be afraid, dear daughter.”
Then He produced a lake of still water.

Wearily, I looked inside.
Carefully, I wrote.
Tragically, I shrieked.
Frantically, I cried.
Then He held me,
And I was satisfied.

“He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.” -Psalm 23:2

Can I Write A Poem

After I’ve looked back
And summed-up where my life is going
To inspire myself to continue to move forward
Can I write a poem?

When the lord by his grace
And inspiring revelation
Shows me something
Can I write a poem?

When I’m in the valley
And my spirit is low
When I’m uncertain of just what to do
Or where to go
When I really want someone-else to know
What I’m going, or have been through
Can I write a poem?

When my heart is full
And I feel like I am the richest I’ve ever been
When the Joy of Christ fills my heart
And I rejoice that I am free from sin
When my heart to God-ward has
An incomparable Love within
Can I write a poem?

I write poems to tell a story
Of where I’ve been or where I’m going
I write poems to share a message
That God has revealed to me
I write poems to inspire myself
And others
To Love God and Live
To move forward
To be.

But mainly I believe
That I write poems
Because it is a gift that
God has given unto me.

If I Could Write A Song To God

Just a little verse, do I have a choice
Sure God doesn't make us
Now if I were to be granted one of two wishes;
I'd wish not upon a star
I'd wish for no not wealth or fame NO
I would like to write a song to Jesus;
And perform it forever to Him and God
I would like to write a song to Jesus;
And all the arch angels would sing along

Everything, every intellect I must inject
Is heaven sent
God has created, God has created
There is nothing man can do
Noting that is true all creatively is from Him

Just another chance maybe even dance
Sure God would mind that
I wish I could write a song and sing it in heaven
Every word, every chord, every chorus would be heard
Oh, Lord God could I ever
I'd wish for no wealth or fame NO
Just wanna sing and praise your name
Over and over again

Just a little verse, do I have a choice
Sure God doesn't make us
Now if I were to be granted one of two wishes;
I'd wish not upon a star
I'd wish for no not wealth or fame NO
I would like to write a song to Jesus;
And perform it forever to Him and God
I would like to write a song to Jesus;
And all the arch angels would sing along

God allow me to write a song
