While You Sleep

While you sleep I tell you all of the things I keep inside throughout day.
Now that you can hear but not listen I find them much easier to say.
My hopes, my dreams, my fears, and everything in between
Your subconscious hears so keen, or so it seems.
My tongue is soft; I speak so sweetly
Knowing your reaction will never greet me.

Tonight will be different in what I want you to know.
It has everything to do with what I can’t help but show.
I hold no claim to any religion but you’ve given me a place for my faith.
Somewhere it will never stale or lose its lavish taste.
You’ve shown me something I can see, touch, and feel,
And so before it I choose to kneel.

I know I don’t say it but I miss you every day.
Sitting, thinking of the perfect words to be my choice,
Yet when you call I can’t find any of the right words to say.
I’m just happy to finally hear your voice.
Even just a moment is enough to sooth my heavy heart;
Fearing the ends of conversations knowing we’ll have to part.

I’ll never be too far from you, always within arm’s reach,
And in your days of darkness I’ll be the light that you will seek.
I’ll never let you leave too far from me, I’ll stay close behind you in this world;
Secretly protecting what is mine, you will always be my girl.
I only want the best for you so the best of me I will employ.
Faithfully yours, I will always be your boy.

I close my eyes and kiss your soft sweet lips
And see the very best of you in loving bliss.
I see past the physical which makes you attractive
And focus on the things I can’t see in which I’m attracted.
Your thoughts I’d love to hear them all.
Of the things you speak disinterest never makes its call.

My day will come, I know someday I’ll be the only one.
And you I will pursue viciously,
Because I’ve given you the greatest gift I can give, to love unconditionally.
Yes our day will come, I know someday we’ll be as one.
And you I will pursue viciously,
Because I’ve given you the greatest gift I can give… to love unconditionally.

This is me

My knees were the things that
kept me up and my skin is my
cutting board my eyes are the
rain clouds to the fire running
down my arms and my heart is

The People Around Me

Things seems to be very clear,
When actually felt it is unclear,
What really seems to be clear,
May never ever be clear for ever.

Your help for others,
May be to be appreciated,
Or taken as what is called,
to be uncounted.

My question is clear,
Why the help for others,
Is sometime never appreciated,
However it is always delivered.

In response to ethics,
lingers in my mind the answer,
To help others is not to be recognised,
But it is to be called someone,
Who can be respected.

To all, continue to help,
Not to to be appreciated by others,
But to be respected by yourself.

A Love Song To A Beloved

‘‘A friend once in his youthful flight
Had found a beauty delight
Though distance stretched them in mileage
But their love was destined to find a page’’

A lark that sings in the morning bright
Ke-ke-li, O Kekeli! My beautiful light
The hanging garden upon my sight
Hands of fate has woven a happy home
A love of current, stronger than the Law of Ohm
Invigorating, a love connected at heart
Which God designed never to part

Where there is love, they say there is a way
Our love I believe is here to stay
Kekeli, my beloved, sing me a serenade
A song of an angel’s grade
That in heaven’s clime pervade
Sing it across space and time
And make it last like a rhyme

My beloved Kekeli! You’re my light
You’re my Hephzibah, my only delight
Thou art fairer than Friedan Betty
Thou art matchless in beauty
So calm and inviting like the blue sea
Beauty not to be told but for eyes to see

Behold my mistress of fair skin
Eyes of diamonds, pure and pristine
O Tell me, you whom I was made to love
One, unique in your choicest apparel
Lips of zebra stipes set with a berry
The hanging petals of a blossom cherry
Chief among all my thousands buddies
O Kekeli! The only ruby my finger shall find
And wouldn’t be ashamed to be called uxorious

"For as a young man marries a virgin
so shall your sons marry you, and as
the bridegroom rejoices over the bride,
so shall your God rejoice over you". Isa 62:5

Who am I?
Am I defined by what is near in sight?
Am I defined by what I have done,
Or am I defined by what I could become?

Perhaps I'm of no use.
To him, or her, or I, nor you.
Or perhaps I'm too misunderstood to be defined,
And it is something like understanding that comes in time.

And if to the world I'm never shown,
Yet in my own light I've grown and grown,
And so I can know no happiness but my own--
The reason for my smile, to you, will forever be unknown.

I do not pray for the world to know my name.
For it and verse; the letters are the same.
And if a man should find his sorrow in what he reads,
I pray his pain my words to keep.

Should his eyes rain on my page,
Better tears than storms of rage.
And if a man should find his sorrow in what he reads.
I pray his pain my words to keep.

And if to the world you're never shown,
Yet in your own light you've grown and grown,
And so you know no happiness but your own.
Let the reason for your smile, to you, only be known.

'Baby, you taste like chocolate,
You and me we'd make a great rhyming couplet.
A.K.A a grinding couplet.'
'You can get on top of me like enjambment.'
'I can show you some wild imagery,
Me on you, you on me.'
'Metaphor stands for meet-at-four,
We'll get it on till the break of dawn.'
'Damn, could you BE anymore sexual?' -an example of a rhetorical question you could include...
'S-s-s-s-s-SEX!'- an example of sibilance you could use (and probably will).
'Annotate me honey, and together we can achieve a deeper meaning.'

Return Of Your King

Reflections of imperfections have shown me a way that I can move mountains through my power of faith even though I can't see him I know he is real through the power of prayer and a Love that I feel It's growing inside me like a flower in bloom shall I reveal my powers or is it too soon I am reading the signs through my darkness I find a reason for belief in the light of mankind that I know shall overcome the greatest of odds the Love I seek amazes me especially through the flaws because now I am inspired through the hero's that bring my throne through the darkness on which I return on as your King.

a gay sonnet

A Friday of Gayness

Today I drove to Faro town I wanted a meal of tuna steak with
onions at the café I used to frequent fifteen years ago.
The place had gone upmarket and so had the prices one waiter
remembered me but not my wife and she took a dislike to him
said he was effeminate; the café has two parts, one with a wine bar
I mostly sat there. Oscar Wilde came in or someone looking as him,
he remarked of what he had observed during the day an intelligent
mind who could recite his own poems beautifully .

I decide to become gay too, to be frivolous and happy, but avoid
the sex thing the very thought made me shudder.
Alas, I had to drive my wife home I tried to translate some of
Oscar`s remarks into Portuguese, she didn`t think it was funny
But that was my fault telling jokes is not my metier so I was
back being my pedestrian self

I wanted to put myself in a space occupied by happiness
Sweet embrace of the breeze felt in the sea side of Pahut Bongao near Sanga-sanga
Everyone is happy doing the ritual of Panulak Bala’
The month to throw misfortunes that Tausug believed
Beach full of dancing waves from the sea
Never limit the horizon of falling leaves of trees

                             The Apple PASTURE

Oh how I long
To drift into the apple pasture.
Were once was and all well meet.
A pure and dear site.
Where silver reflection cover the still waters that holds the golden
grains of morality and the grazing souls lie young amounce no stars.
Oh how I long
To drift into the apple pasture
Were winds smell of melon and the trees whisper spring corals in the mellow dark and best of light and time creeps into no tomorrow.

What is Layag Sug?
How come you're not answering?
Why are you asking?
For me to know
Why, isn’t it a bully to me?
No. I'm just plainly asking.
Why is it so hard for you to answer?
I don’t know why the question arises now.
I suddenly realize I don't know the meaning of it.
Aha for you what is it?
What is Layag Sug?
Is it a signature to every statement you make?
Or a line you share with someone?
Being a signature to every statement
It is also a line to share to make Sulu familiar with people today
So what is Layag Sug?
What do you think?
I don't know a Sulu boat?
What do you think?
You can share what it is so we could explore
I will give you my meaning
After you give interpretation
You're not answering are you?
Just say so if you're not
I don't have the entire night waiting
Layag Sug is about my life
Longing for the independence of beloved homeland Sulu
Literally Sulu Sail!
That’s Layag Sug seen through my lens of thought
And my experience in life!

A poem made to explain the meaning of Layag Sug through the question of Sulu Gypsy. 12:44AM, 9 March 2013, Sandakan, Sabah, Malaysia. Let Us All Save Peace. Layag Sug!

Beach Birthdays

To the lake to the lake,
Fish to fry clams to bake.
This has been grandmother's cry
Now on birthdays she brings rye,

Chill by beach of Pitas.
Rain comes in a heavy task.
Return home to a break.
Another night to medicate tired.
Thanks Allah we intend.
Well-intentioned we are blessed.
Preach in the village of Rungus.
The Maulud rejoiced.
Kota Marudu we go.
Still raining until while ago!

Turbo lax chicken

I want some chicken to chew on
I wanna eat it until its all gone
I want to slather it in turbo lax
And cover it in tic tacs
I love the chicken's neck
My parents always say "what the heck?"
But i don't care
Finding a grilled chicken neck is very rare
I'd kill somebody if they try to steel my chicken neck, but who would dare?
I eat it so fast i'm like the hear in tortoise and the hare
So when i see a chicken it better run
Because what i'm going to do to it isn't going to be very fun!

Jhaine in a favela, I think

Jhaine in Brazil, I think
closest I can figger
'cause, we don't share some language
probably a generational thing
I suppose

many words I don't understand
many of the words
she writes
like music

but, the ideas, I think
I could help to explain

Jhaine, she comes across strong
seems to carry herself

loves her baby

beautiful and strong

rise up, little sister, rise on up
above it all

and bring the ones you love
for you are beautiful

you are strong

Ears of the world, listen to me!
I am speaking from this shore
If you don’t listen, just open your heart
If you have your eyes, look at me!

I suppose to fill my future, listen to me!
What I found is empty hearts
The eyes that cannot see
But the eyes are not blind!

Lean me your ears, listen to me!
Clean it with your conscience
If you do have, I know you do
Don’t let peace be drowned

I am not to be served, listen to me!
I do have future, if you did listened early
I don’t need any silver platter at home
I only need a shelter, even not a home!

I may not be speaking directly, listen to me!
I am the witness, the history never forgets, never!
Let this war for peace ends, end now.
I will drown and die no more!

I love you peace. Let’s sail together. Layag Sug!

I'm Sorry

I am sorry for the agony I caused you,
I feel so wicked.
I'm sorry,
I'm not perfect and I make mistakes.
Please forgive me.
I took it all for granted,
 I'm sorry to say.

I'm sorry but I adore you,
I'm sorry if I miss you.
I'm sorry I can't be that perfect man
You’ve always dreamed of.
I'm sorry for bothering you.
I just wanted to tell you...
I'm sorry for the pain I caused you.

I'm sorry.
Please forgive me
For all the wrong I've done.
Please come back home my love.
I know you have no trust in me,
I'm sorry to let you down.
I wish I could be what you want,
But I can't and I’m sorry.

On the spot 7

Flowers bright
Colours everywhere
Cant help but stop
And soak in the fresh air.

Green trees
All tall and proud
Bright big sun
In a sky with no clouds.

Birds chirping
Flying around the trees
Would be great
To be that free.

I painted my hope in the horizon
I love the way it is rendered by God
It is the image of voicelessness
It comes across the breezing sea.

The horizon tells me that I am no man
I am nothing without anyone near me
In this world there's no boundaries
the boundaries of humanity.

It is only exist in the minds of the heartless
the thinking of human with no mercy
If I look the horizon it is just widely owned
The owner gave to the creations.

The waves in the sea is still a sea
There's no part if it that could be separated
When it touches the beach
It still turned back into the sea.

I love you peace. Let's sail together. Layag Sug!

I would rather be a sea than a current
The people could sail
A bird than a wind
I can fly all through the air
And be a mountain
The people could climb
And a forest that people could enjoy
A traveler than a ship
I could go anywhere.

On the spot poem 6

The wind is strong
The noise is loud
The thunder clapps
Within the clouds.

Rain starts to pour
Hail aswell
The sun will shine again
But not yet i can tell.

The coldness is chilling
Sends shivers through your bones
Nights like these
Who wants to be alone.

The queen in her gilded coach pulled by four horses
Came gliding on the sea and towards shore where a group
Of men waited to be knighted

They had done their duty kept their mouth shut and
Averted their eyes to the state`s illegal acts and now
Pay off a title and membership on a board

The queen came ashore she had a white lion cub in
One hand and a hammer in the other and with it hit
Each man over the head they fell to the ground…dead.

The queen a Marxist revolutionary had been silent so
Long but she was old, the truth had to come out
No more horse- drawn carriage, but she kept the lion cub.

Iberia Rejected

The Piece Iberia Rejected

I like to go to Spain one day soon
Portugal is so tiring and deceitful
It is a fantasy land
Where truth and lies blend
Into a bewildering version of
Arabic influence
That Christianity decapitated.
Spain is a big country with a great mind
Portugal is so much smaller
And their worldviews are that of
What you see in an olive copse
Besides I have family in Spain who reads
And like my opinions
I`m respected elder member of the clan
They want me to come home
And lead them now.
Portuguese politeness is based on avoiding
The truth at all cost
No matter how long you leave in Portugal
They will treat you with
A smiling contempt.
So it is time to leave this land
of sheep herders and lawyers
indelible belief in Dictatorship.

Oooh look. Oh wow. Correlating jumping twists and combinations of bunnies, irons, toothbrushes and eye lash curlers. Turn then a stick. Rotational gravitation and melodically performed interludes. Such magnifications of a single note. Kissing a kindling to produce an even steady glow. Epitomising myth, fables and heavily guarded secrets. Yet seconds are counted by a tick tick tick. And if a lion says hello then one should not discuss crochet with a snooker cue. Balls then in many halls. Darkly dimming daring done. A persnickety perennial pineal gland. Hahahaha and the forts. Hahahaha and a day is one hour 9 minutes. Hahahaha cubes cantering. Xxxx zoologist zones. Xxx meteorological XXX clapflap xx
