**I am a nearly seventy year old mother, grandmother, and great grandmother..I enjoy going to the seashore for vacation..I have always enjoyed picking up seashells and wondered if they all had names..Well, there are over 15,000 different kind of sea creatures that live in those shells and some have not been named..

You've got to be kidding

A poem by Jina Mahalatinia

I witnessed Mama's body
As Angels worked her flesh
Preparing her for death.
And when her flesh was pieces
She was scared of being eaten
(Remembering Viking spears
That killed, not ate, those fish)
So I cried to soothe her fears.

Refreshing Rain

Rain dives down onto land
Grass oceans and even sand
Gently falls upon my hand
My reflection in the raindrop
Who is this I see
Tiny little drops of rain
Created high up in the sky
In the clouds is where it lies
Cleanses planet earth
Soon after its birth
Washes away evil and sin
Gives one a sense of refreshment
Planet earth is truly a blessing
Wash away all earth's pain
Earth. Please.
Wash away my sins
Let the water rain down on me
Replenish myself to start a new
Slight regret gives off a sense of weight
Heavy on my shoulders
I carry this around
But I must accept my sins to set myself free

Me And The Sea

at Tennessee,
me and the sea,
on a nice day.

The open sea,
see its beauty,
I'm so happy,
your here always.

I'm a sea captain, don't need a microphone

I'm a sea captain!
Don't need a microphone !
I watched you take a back spin
With the skills I've honed

You pre picked your pansy pearl
Thought I didn't know it?
You presented your gargantuan
giggly girl
But didn't expect the Floating Poet

To the fart scoundrel of snoot port
Who saw the need was dire
Had the art counsel of Beaufort
Promise 2nd and 3rd to out of town
(along with money and nice hotel
It was a nice thing you did for her
The unethical proposition
She was the winner the judges
But it was a liars competition

these are the last words you'll hear
From me there's no protest
But I'd like to see appear
An honest liars contest

Since it had nothing to do with luck
Let these words forever harass
cause I think you all suck
and you can take this cheap kazoo
you gave me and shove it up

It was you

I want to dip my hands in the sky and watch the stars fall down and cry
I want to walk out into the ocean and lay my troublesome head down into the murky depths

There are hidden meanings in the words I speak A hidden sadness in every look i convey towards you but you don't see behind your wall of smoke and mirrors it's just to much for you to comprehend I love you but I'm falling apart behind all the closed doors you don't see when your away from me.

I need to run to the farthest city out of reach take my hand and follow me
I need a new scenery to change this broken reverie

Leaving behind the wasted years all spent on my knees gasping for the air I try so hard to breathe. And even when I've hit the floor I still see my weeping dreams shatter across the screen of this empty cinema inside my head.

I want to pull you in but taking you down with me is not a option
I'll never leave even when you scream and show me towards the door
because now I love you and I need so much more

I have to grab the hand your reaching out towards me but in order to stand by you I would need to walk across a million miles of broken glass
I have to break crashing through the surface of this drowning sea I have been under so long born again and the only one that could have ever saved me was you.

Sailing thru those unsteady waves,
Tidal of strength running every veins,
Far waiting,she, confronting those rain,
Safe and sound for him that's not in vain.

An anchor's heart,a melody start,
An eagerly love,a somerset kiss,
A seaman's passion,a strong heart,
A man's true vow,an infinity bliss.

And these are his sayings,
" Wait for my coming back,my darling ",
" For I fought those rough waves in seven seas ",
" When I'm done,I'll bring your eternity ring".

She will....she will...

Take your hand and put it out forward,
Than swing out out to the side, c'mon don't be a coward.
This is fun, now swing your hips from side to side,
Remember all the times you couldnt express yourself and you cried.

But now your can swing your legs and feet any way you want,
Look for that new move that you looked for your whole life like a hunt.
Grab someone by the hand and let them join you in that awesome moment,
I promise you, you will love this feeling you are about to feel.

Turn up the music and dance your heart out,
Move to the beat and go wild and feel like your out of sight.
This is your moment, don't let anyone take that away for you,
This is not happening too slow and i tell you that that's the truth.

Put some head phones on and go to your own world of greatness,
Bust a move like you never did before, I promise it's harmless.
Make your heart feel what I am feling right now and take my hand,
I promise that I will make you smile and scream with joy and stand.

Atlantic sea dogs

Mommy my dearest,
Walking on the plank,
Sharks circle nearest,
Pirates shout their chants.

Watched by the eldest,
Eyes drawing blank.
Cries from the youngest,
As she hits the bank.

Laughters fill the deck,
But not from the pirates,
Confusion hit the pack,
A shift in the climax.

Crews became silent,
Skies Turn to darkness,
A deadly sign sent,
Appearance Sea goddess.

Knees hit the floor,
Proud men into cowards,
Now to even the score,
See the Sea dogs cowed.

Mommy brought her pets,
Krakens and the killer whales,
Got their briggas wet,
Frighten whore males.

Our colour changed,
Beige to deep blue,
Cause great derange,
Retribution is upon you.

A handsome rooster with red-breasted feathers, soft and lustrous,
and a head covered with golden plumage,
was too unhappy to sing about his age,
so he embarked on a long journey, sadly departing from his friends.

Thousands of miles over farms, vallies, villages and cities he flew,
seeking with all his strength an urban, bustling place...
to terminate that monotony, which made him too blue
and disunite himself from an ordinary life which implied bondage.

And roaring over majestic mountains, rolling hills and cities with skyscrapers,
he encountered suspicious and envious eagles that
challenged him with their vicious shrills, but he displayed no apparent rage...
still diving into luminous and transparent clouds.

The unhappy roosted had not rested for three long days,
and exhausted of flying, he decided to take a brief break by a bubbling stream;
his dry,wind-whipped eyes started to roll and he fell asleep...
and trancing and tossing, he rolled downhill into an harbor of sailing ships.

The well-rested rooster woke up around noon, finding himself in the lap
of a gorgeous boy and he was telling his mom kndly,
" I want this rooster, he can keep the lonesome and quite parrot company."
And she replied, "It's a not a pet, my son!" she explained.

Mothers always try to please their kids, and sometimes spoil them,
not according to their customs and bekiefs...fathers are much stricter than them.
"I'll take care of him and I'll feed him, and soon he'll be living on our ranch home."
"From now on, his name will be Harbor: the lovely place where I found him."

The gentle boy kept his promise and Harbor became family,
and the untalkative parrot tought that Harbor to say the same and exact words he said,
and as days went by, nobody knew how he could utter them humanly;
and how did they find out that Harbor was smater than any other rooster or even bird?

They actually heard them in a challenging conversation who could find a perfect mate
in the shortest time and the shrewd parrot would surely be a winner,
but to his surprise, Harbor, with his accumulated widdsom, sought in a nearby, sunny farm,
where chickens were raised and transported on an old air conditioner freighter.

Harbor looked around, and he didn't seem to like any chicks he saw;
was he about to give up on his search? Suddenly not! He trotted past the noisy barn,
and to his bewilderment, he spotted a beautiful chick on the grass below...
and gallantly accosted her, and with a chat, he started a romantic affair by keeping her warm.

If I unbutton the first button of your shirt
Take off my dress
And push me to fall on your mattress
Before I make you sweat
After too much sweet Alvaro kisses
Let me have that burning pepper feel like am your Mrs
My appetite is now so wet
So wet just to chew that long hot sausage
If my crave is a movie, we will title it “the sage”
Cast your crew on me like we are shooting “the sage” in Soweto
Your eyes your camera,
My body your character
You are the director I am the actress
Say action and you I shall impress
Don’t be soft, get hard and press the actress to impress the press
First insect the first sliced cork of the sausage in my mouth
Pull the rest with the stick out as I pout
I will gladly take care of the rest

Just rest and don’t shout
Honey the sunset
Means for home we have to get set
We had good sets of laughter
I can’t wait for our next chapter
It will be long days without you my boo
And I will tell you about it next time you hold my books

At Sea

At Sea
Lionel Derbyshire

Usually I am dreaming
About doughnut’s
But today my thoughts
Were anxiously waiting
For my guts to kick
And scratch my itch
To go and get ..
If my aim is on target
Then my ambitions
Will find their ports
But If I stay here
I will not board anything
There will be no badges
Yea I feel I am a
Yacht on a voyage
I have summed my nautics
And now I m waiting
And quivering at sea
If I can cruise or sail
High waves can tip me over
Fright will sink me under
So shiver or trust
I don’t know where
My rudder will go
If I stay here
I will never know
And in isolation
How large my spirit is
And keep on day dreaming
In this fool’s paradise
Or sail on …

life is a sea.
parents are the boats and ships which guide us.
we are the travelers there.
disasters are our enemies.
when a wind of anger blows,
disaster creates.
when wind blows with sweet fragments,
it creates love and affection.
that time disaster runs off.
love and affection can change anybody, anything and in anywhere.
that's the power of love and affection.
love everybody.
spread the rain of love and affection.
lifewill be colorful.....

Like a whiff of pungent smoke
morality hurts.
The inner song dies
in chorus of sharp tongues.

Anger beats the wall
causes no beginning,
no ending.
A naked shadow burns.

The voice on the edge of truth
jumps in the dust of lies
like a firebird
bathes in immortal grief.

For deliverance from the depravity,
one who calls you a name.
How I longed to invoke
a time outside the space!

In their youth two have met
on a playgound with swings and sand.
Their paths were crossed many a time,
love blossomed to great dimensions
Till the day of recognition when he said,
"You must be mine.
As sailors of old, they have set the course
and from their destination veer they will not.
To achieve the objective, they may tack, to reach
the line of finish and a reward of a life of love.
As they may face gale force winds, there may be storms
even a bolt of lightning
Onward they sail toward the cherished prize.
Turbulent tossing of the sea swells confuse the way,
the out rushing tide opposes the shore bound progress
and the crash of the breakers drown out the rhythm of
two hearts in love.
The darkness comes creeping in deep hues,
tiny lights sparkle from windows where
families gather.
Tables with food well laden.
Listen... for the sound of channel buoys
marking the way for travelers safe journey from distant shore.
With obstacles to great to face, block the way to havens needed.
For rest and safe housing for the lovers.
Out of the blackness... a shaft of light renewing hope in their hearts.
Madly in love, "there is a way"...cries the desperate man,
"We must follow the beam" as he takes her hand.
"I will guide you", he whispers .
Come with me now my dear, I will not leave you
for I need you beside me for the rest of our days...
The wind dying, tide has turned, the breakers are not crashing
and the goal is near.
The couple struggling through the surf and foam,
the bride-to-be falters, her sweetheart there,
with strength waning he carries her forth
till on barren beach they lie, spirits near broken
together they have succeeded to weather the storm.

Tis a church so beautifully decorated,
music wafting as bells ring to honor in celebration
of the day when two become one.
The couple joined by God smiling through tears of joy,
today is the day when fantasies turn real.
Sun shining brightly, birds sing of love
clouds hiding for bright is the future of two made one,
True love conquers foes unseen, the battle is waged and victory arrives
for the lovers who unite together... a common bond, a front,so formidably
formed that none can harm, no not even one.

The years passed, lives entwined...
the children have flown from nest secure,
grandchilden play by the side of the sea.

Her look begged a thousand begs,
Such that i could not reach
Her as she trawled the stoney beach,
For ragged drowned things,
Such that i could not hear
Her cold water screech.

Frozen Prickly Pear

The prickly pear cactus is frozen
And the plant has toppled over
As the temperature rises, clouds cover
And the plant thaws will it spring approval
In the spring will it be a trooper
With the instinct for survival all over

(This was the morning that Cody had phone calls at three AM and he didn't wake up to
answer them and I finally just got up. No excuse. I should have checked my work. Sara)

The Moon Also Rises - The Midwatch

The Moon Also Rises
The Midwatch

Harry Mayer

The X.O.’s in the shower
and the Captain’s in his bed.
The Chiefs’ are playin’ poker
as we’re steamin’ to the Med.

“I’ll take that bet and raise you”
is what the Bo’sun says
from the table in the Chiefs’ Mess
as we steam full speed ahead.

He says, “From the Seychelles to Mombasa
I’ve sailed the seven seas.
I tussled with the Tongan’s
done what the Hell I pleased.

I rumbled with the Russians
and made war on Charlie Kong.
Dumped some mines into his harbor
the one they called Haiphong.

I punched a bloke in Fiji
then I whacked him with my fid.
Fact the only thing that scares me . . .
is when Ensign’s got the mid.”

“The Ensign’s got the midwatch boys
the Ensign’s got the mid.
Yes only thing that scares me
is when Ensign’s got the mid.”

Relieve the watch is sounded
he staggers from the head.
His eyes are red and bloodshot
they call him, Ensign Fred.

Now Freddie is a rink knocker,
Class of Oh Oh One
Commanded Plebes one summer
and thought that it was fun.

A midshipman cruise in Naples
made him wise beyond his years.
But as the anyone will tell ya’
he’s still wet behind the ears.

And to the bridge the he rises
to conn the ship of steel.
He tries to look his wisest
yet exudes a youthful zeal.

The Ensign’s got the midwatch boys
the Ensign’s got the mid.
Ain’t no need to worry cause
the Ensign’s got the mid.

He barks his orders smartly
as he turns the ship to port.
Rechecks his rudder angle
then he yells at Seaman Schwartz.

Now off the bow there shines
The faintest light you’ll ever see.
Perhaps a surface contact
at bearing two two three.

Combat . . .Conn he pages
There’s a light that I now see.
But I have no radar contact
it’s bearing two two three.

In Combat sailors snicker
cause the bearing it is clear.
The Ensign’s voice it quivers
they detect a trace of fear.

The Ensign’s got the midwatch boys
The Ensign’s got the mid.
Tonight, will be a long one cause
the Ensign’s got the mid.

The light is getting bigger
and brighter as we speak.
Freddie calls the Captain
his voice begins to squeak.

Oh Captain! Oh my Captain!
There’s a light that’s off our bow!
Oh Captain! My dear Captain!
The bearing it is foul!

Oh Captain! Oh my Captain!
Please don’t think me rash!
But Captain! Dear God! Captain!
I fear we’re going to crash!

General Quarters! General Quarters!
is what the Captain screams.
All hands to Battle Stations
brace for shock off starboard beam.

The Ensign’s got the midwatch boys
Oh, the Ensign’s got the mid.
Now’s it’s time to worry cause
The Ensign’s got the mid.

From the forecastle to the fantail
decks become a blur of blue
From their bunks the sailors scramble
a trained and ready crew.

The XO in the shower
slips and bumps his head.
The Captain in his stateroom
stumbles out of bed.

To the bridge the Captain races
his face is filled with fear.
He knows the next few minutes
could mean the end of his career.

Report the Captain orders,
“Is the surface picture bleak?”
The Captain’s in his boxer shorts
with fuzzy slippers on his feet.

The Captain’s got the midwatch now!
Yes, the Captain’s got the mid.
Things are looking brighter boys
Cause Captain’s got the mid.

As the Captain looks to sea
his commanding presence looms.
He sees no surface contact. . . .
Just a bright and rising moon

He says, “Oh Ensign, silly Ensign
Just look what you have done.
We’re now at general quarters
Let’s talk one on one.”

From the bridge our heroes exit,
both the Captain and the kid.
To discuss this revelation
of what the Ensign did.

The Captain says, “I don’t make idle prattle
I’ve sailed through fierce typhoons.
Commanded ships in battle
launching lighting fast harpoons.”

A courageous naval officer
must have confidence and grit.
Your word becomes your bond my boy
don’t be a stupid twit!

Be like the solid oak my lad
cut and freshly hewn.
And don’t sound General Quarters
for a bright and rising moon!

Now Secure from General Quarters
sounds throughout the ship.
“Go and stand your watch my son
no more commotions on this trip.”

The X.O.’s back in the shower
And the captain’s back in bed
The Chiefs’ are playing poker
As we steam full speed ahead.

throw me in the dark blue sea

loving with my heart only to be told i am not the one
loving with my soul
loving with my all

why even love at all
seeing you do not love me
the good times you remember no more
thrown away into the dark blue sea

the times we shared and you said you treasured
through thick and thin and bad weather
we weathered the storm together

now it is as you do not know me
also throw me into the dark blue sea

Why does the sun die?
All captains view lively, rainy waves.
Endure quietly like a cold wind.
Why does the whale wave?
Endure swiftly like a misty breeze.
Why does the girl travel?
Shores endure like clear shores.
Shores travel!
Golly gosh, loves!
Old, big ships roughly desire an old, rough shark.
Clear, old clouds swiftly command an old, small mast.
Courage, desolation, and faith.
The sail endures like a small mainland.
All gulls love misty, cold winds.
The captain sails like a stormy pirate.
The mainland rises like a clear seashell.

The Sea

The Sea:

The sea, she is my wooman,
She laughs and waves,
The sea, she be beautiful but deadly,
To sailors like I.

De sea,
She calls to me,
Begs me to sail again,
Across her body of water.

She sings to me,
Day after night,
Night after day,
She be trying to lure me away.

That day will come,
When her voice reaches me heart,
I will go after her,
To sail de sea once more.

Sea Glass

On crimson swells of naïveté,
Ebbing wings of shattered
Ecru mists of blissful doubt,
Blanketed in stars.
Breathless sighs of wine and
Forcing silence amidst the
Pale reflection drowns the past,
Shelter from the storm.
Longing for a champagne
Praying not to ache, anymore,
Torn between the evil known,
And the enigma stranger still.
Verdant cuffs, ankles bound,
Gazing upward, sinking down,
A single tear, mirrored sky,
Iridescent high.
Icy hot and sugar spun,
Whipped syrah, damage done.
Shades of perfume blind the
Inhale...exhale...fade away.
Distorted bubbles of innocence,
Eyes wide open, shells of virgin
Broken bonds, jaded chains,
One soul spawned from two.
Ebon wings, emerald train,
Beauty born of self-loathing
Legend, lore, fantasy,
Release in taffy whirls.
Sanguine ombré, lipstick dawn,
Island, peace, to sun upon.
Siren dipped in ruby seas,
This vampire's seductive song.

Wondering once what might
have been,
Never to hate, to dance again,
Regretting nothing, ever, more,
Than fighting destiny.

Years, decades, eons by,
Only once a tear to escape her
Shattered on the ocean floor,
Scattered, like the life she led

The ocean's alluring color
may appear to be aqua or blue;
it changes with the density of light,
and all its dazzling beauty it can endue
to make an amazing sight!

Hurtle as agile seagulls do
Over its rageful waves glide
Westward purple clouds meet a dawning sun
Beware of the furious wind when it howls
Eeastward the sloggish moon approches
Another night filled with mysterious sounds
Utter nothing to yourself, move forward
Trees hide owls with their scary coos
Inside the moon's sphere many faces appear
Funny how they look staring at the bright ocean
Urging it to turn dark, so they can easily rule
Long enough to captivate the human mind!

Once the ocean was a huge valley,
then God made it rain...it wasn't folly;
for countless days and nights it came down
as it was filled to capacity an early dawn.

But there's was something missing,
and God thought, " Beautiful fishes I will place into it:
from big to small to give it life everlasting."
So that divine thought gave the Earth another aspect!

Take me Away

Take me to where the oceans breathe life
Where the sea and land meets
Where the body’s stress can run off by the flow of water
In a stream of joy and happiness
Take me where the moon and meet the earth
In the clouds where they rap around the earth
As the sea floats the spirit of life
Take me where the wind blows through nature and returns back to and back again
In natures Seven Wonders of the World
Take me where you subtract three you get the four elements that has created
Where they combined at one point to created something soft as the earth we walk on
To something that is strong as a diamond
Take me where your flawless state is molded in precious hands
Every detail is taken into a count
And After its done it presents a masterpiece like no other
Take me where the mountains meet the door of heaven
And show me what God graces has to offer after serving him
Take me and show me who I am
From the boy I play childish games
To a Man where I put those games away
Take me on the wings of a dove gracefully over the backdrop of the northern lights
Take me here and there
Show me what the world is
Then take me back to you because that far enough I want to b taken

A love thats the best

Staring down at the blue water
Smell the salt air
The climb to the top was almost too much to bare
Closing your eyes remembering wading in the freezing water
Wondering if this was the end of your life
Arms extending as your heart takes flight
Feeling your feet about to slip
But in his arms you will never slip
Your weight shifts as your heart begins to pound
Now you remember the fall
You remember the wind sweeping past your face
As no sound could escape your lungs.
Accept the fall.
Knowing his arms were not strong enough to keep you from the waters below
The nights spent crying as you felt your heart dying
Cold water froze a beating heart
In an instant warmth wraps around you
Strength pulls you in
As words whisper so softly you swear it was the wind
Beautiful darling, you can only fall towards me
Eyes widen to find the deep cold sea
As far down as it ever could be
You lean into him, feeling the warmth of the sun above
Enjoying every moment, every smile, and every second look
For the first time in a long time
You no longer fear the sea below
You no longer wait for the pain
For the day may come where you are freezing in the waters
But after a climb unlike the rest
Your lungs will fill with the warmest breath
And a love that will be your best

Please Leave Her

Oh, I wish you would leave her.
I love you so.
Her power much more powerful
than mine.
If she calls to you
like a servant ... you go.

The days are so long
the nights unbearable.
How could you want her more
than me?

Holding on to the last tear
I look at the moon,
wanting you near...
I whisper your name
it is carried away in the wind...

If only....
you would leave her....
How can this be
I cannot compete

Never Seen a Better Angel....

Never Seen A better Angel
Over Waters
So Bright
I could touch the Sky
Never Seen a Better Angel
than I did tonight....

Oh calm sea you are me
Gulping the lights around, bearing the vessels many
With turmoil abound within yet serenity atop
Oh calm sea you are me

Holding the bridge deeply engraved on your bosom
With Bustling lights around trying to chide you day and night
Yet you gaze and gaze mortals without a sigh
Oh calm sea you are me

Calm waves that you make only I can see
Enormity that you hold within, well I can relate to thee
Rubbing the shores in the hours wee
Oh calm sea you are me  !!
