What Rusts In The Rain

                        What Rusts In The Rain
(For The Memory Of William S. Burroughs
& Typewriters)

It is Lawrence, Kansas and the sky opens
up as if a doppelganger of all mothers and
Leaving out rain as milk from its breasts
all things fertile
     Rangas of storm
A writer adores their typewriter.
They name it and ache in its lack of health
and death.
Brother, the decades faded and the Beats
and the Hippies
their dawns edges burning off in the
sunlight of time
took flight on dusky dirges and are gone.
Generations come and go and that none
of us can turn in protest against, too busy
in our living and then our leaving.
Opiate, apt fruition.

There is no lover like a typewriter.
Stroke its keys.
Know its response.

Kansas, Dorothy's head all turned around
and paisley.
You died and they left your typewriter in
the backyard
of your last home, grass growing up into
its spine.
No more pawning for what the soul was
too terrified to
go without.
Maybe it is better here.
Waiting for the return of some living, freed
An ability to grow creative legs, talk again.
The scent of English Ovals on its skin

The Earth dry and bare; waiting eagerly for the drops of care;

Caught in the hot, steaming summer’s snare;

The flowers and creepers decorating window sills; all look desolate and ill;

As the nature withers away in the sun’s merciless glare.

The men and the wives; the kids and the wild;

All are enduring the summer’s waterless exile;

They are waiting for the rain; to relieve them of the heat pain;

And of that life which has become a sweaty turmoil.

The wind strong and gusty; makes the roads yellow and dusty;

And the air around becomes suffocating and musty;

The birds forget to sing; their lilting, musical thing;

Even as the tree leaves wristle and make noise so husky.

Then come the Monsoon showers; falling first on boughs and flowers;

Making the trees and plants glisten and glower;

So the monsoon comes in grace; driving away summer’s trace;

Lashing at window-panes with its all-reigning power.

As the monsoon drives away the summer heat; with its raining rhythm off-beat;

And the flower buds open up to return it’s greet;

And as the water seeps in soil; a refreshing fragrance arise;

While the rain continuous to cool down hot gardens and streets.

The Earth grows green; and water droplets gleam;

On the smooth, waxy surfaces of the leaves;

Everywhere the flowers grow; in pink, red, white or yellow;

While buds make their way blushingly between tendrils.

 The wet and soft soil; now grows fertile;

And tender green plantlets push through the Earth in style;

Through soil the tiny saplings peep; as their sown seeds begin to reap;

And the plants and crops shake off the Earth’s temporary curse sterile.

As the raindrops go pitter-patter; water in puddles begins to gather;

And the little birds begin to chirp, twitter and chatter;

The insects begin to hum along; their irritating and happy song;

While due to rain and wind the roofs on houses begin to chatter.

As the showers for some moments cease; after giving Earth life’s new lease;

And the pitter-patter of rain is gently appeased;

The sun coyly shines; a cloud it half hides behind;

While the fluffy clouds move along with the cool breeze.

The fields now green and bright; are an artist’s sheer delight;

Pleasing to the senses of smell and sight;

The fresh air so sweet to breathe; that with pleasure the body writhes;

In the newly born rainy sunlight.

But this sunlight so quickly goes; as thunderstorms blow to and fro;

And Earth engulfs in darkness that now grows;

The wind rises and howls; with a voice that trembles all souls;

And day and night this gale roars.

The trees in fear tremble and shake; as leaves, twigs and branches break;

And the life of these trees is put up at stake;

Birds in nests cower with fright; and due to cold shiver with all their might;

And live in fearful anticipation of what else the storm may rake.

The monsoon now shows its ugly face; gone are its days of grace;

Rainy calamities take its place;

Cyclones and floods destruct worldwide; the raging sea throws up its tide;

“Nature reigns supreme”, we are forced to say.

Same is the life of man; may he do what he can;

But destiny will always play a hand;

What all will man control? So he should let destiny play its role;

And enjoy life and act as the situation will demand.

Somedays will shine the sun; those days life will be fun;

And work will be successful how much ever it’s done;

Somedays by the fun you will tire; and will long to get back into the attire;

Of normal life, however boring or glum.

Sometimes hope will come out; like a tiny plant sprouts;

And will remove from your mind every shade of doubt;

It will be a bright, hopeful ray; but for long it may not stay;

So we must make most of it when hope sprouts.

Just as the shower of joy; after summer comes out shy;

So shower of success will come when you have almost given up the try;

It will wash away your helpless sigh; and will give you a new will to try;

Which will help you succeed by-and-by.

Just as the sun goes behind the cloud; when thunder is heard aloud;

And darkness suddenly falls on Earth all around;

So also failure will touch you once; its upto you to prevent its repeated occurrence;

Or due to failure remain depression bound.

Sometimes through demotivation you will go; sometimes loads of success you'll know;

For we need all types of experience to make us grow;

Like some days it is wet; some days the sun for long doesn’t set;

But then it needs both the rain and the sun to make a RAINBOW…

I became rain

I became rain

hoping to fall  and
touch on you.
drop by drop
I touched on your
and fell into your
you started to run
as if  you were
wishing to be free
but I was crying and
saying  "  I love
you "
but you …you  once
did not hear me ,
damn it !
I became soil , my
For sure, you will
and be mine..
I will then  tell
about  my love for
 My  dear,
I can´t be without
Did I not tell you
I can´t be without
you  ?

Rain For Tears

Thank you for crying for me today

My tears are sometimes an expression
of the powerlessness I feel

Through my tears I release my sadness, my fears
and find answers

I am all thought out
Too tired to cry the hard tears
or softly weep myself to sleep
so thank you for crying for me today

You pound hard into the earth
As though mixing an antidote of gladness
to overcome my sadness

I hear you tapping rhythmically and methodically against my windowpane
message in code "Don't worry", "Don't worry" you say

You rain softly as my sadness and fears fade
And I begin to find new meaning

Grey Bird

On that cloudy weekend in June
I hear a soft and graceful tune
from the grey bird on the tree
Singing sweet lullabies felt
blessed in the moment
My body tingles of joy at sight
Gazing out through
my open door,
Letting thoughts fly free
Releasing love out into the horizon
Heart filled with emotion came
over me
Grey bird stood playing its tune
for awhile and on the wings of
letting go
Then as the rain fell from the
sky the grey bird flew away
I blew a kiss to the clouds and
utterd these simple words of I
Love You father ( who's now in
heaven ) and yet I hope to hear
that grey bird sing again once
more for me
Farewell, love your son

I Ride in the rain

Bubbles in my heart
Confidence never drains
Baby you never know how
I ride in the rain

Drops of water falling to the ground
Giving the canopy its very own crown
I feel excitement in my veins
Excitement to ride in the rain

When everybody goes to bed
I stay up and practice in vain
Because I am well trained
of how to dance in the rain

No matter I slip or slide
Or step in the drains
No one can stop me from
Riding in the rain

Studying or working all day long,
Tell me what will you gain?
Just go out, enjoy life
Flutter and jump in the rain

Refreshing Rain

Rain dives down onto land
Grass oceans and even sand
Gently falls upon my hand
My reflection in the raindrop
Who is this I see
Tiny little drops of rain
Created high up in the sky
In the clouds is where it lies
Cleanses planet earth
Soon after its birth
Washes away evil and sin
Gives one a sense of refreshment
Planet earth is truly a blessing
Wash away all earth's pain
Earth. Please.
Wash away my sins
Let the water rain down on me
Replenish myself to start a new
Slight regret gives off a sense of weight
Heavy on my shoulders
I carry this around
But I must accept my sins to set myself free

A through Z

A mind so small
But it holds it all
Could be a ball
Don’t you dare
Ease the
Gaze down the
Inform the
Judge that
Knuckles are hitting the concrete
More than two or four
No one knows the number for sure
Open the door
Palliative measures must be taken for
Quantitative pain, that is coming down just like
Rain, rain, rain
Sizzles as the same sound of a
Xeroxes pages white and
Yellow.  The
Zigzags of life’s travels

Sometimes I Like To Pretend Things Never Came To A End

Sometimes I like to pretend, things never came to a end. But over time, our love became a crime. I didn't know what we had, would ever end so bad. But then I knew things weren't right, when we started to fight. Now I walk down memory lane all the time, the pain is worst then committing a crime. We only caused eachother pain, but we were eachothers maine. I thought things would be alright, but I cried alot that night. I don't want things to change, without you my life is strange. You said you wanted me so much it started to hurt that you couldn't wait, now im just another person you hate. When you said you didn't care, I knew the person I loved was no longer there. You aren't the same, the new you is lame. We both fell, now it's hell. You use to always be here for me, like family. But now your nowhere in sight, things aren't right. Empty is all that I can feel, I still can't believe this is real. I didn't mean to let you get away, I didn't know what to say. Am i with the right guy, or am i telling myself a lie. I was afraid to loose what we had, but to you that choice was bad.

Falling Rain

As the rain falls down on me,
Before the end of the day.
Curtains will rise once more,
During the final play.
Even as the sun goes down,
Falling from the sky.
Greeting us the stars will shine.
Heaven knows why.
I often wonder if we deserve this
Meaning that if we don't give it,
Never will we spare strife.
Oppressing the weak,
Persuing the poor.
Questioning some things
Realizing more.
Still as life goes on
Trying as we might.
Ultimately loosing
Violently in this fight
We cant go on in life like this.
X-ing out everything
You were the first bell in my life but
Z is the last to ring.

The Pigeons of life being set to fly,
fear in the raging hearts ,they just can't defy
for the lamenting eyes , when they turn vile
And the pleasant solitude of them, remains in exile..

Intrigued by the clouds, winds just followed
the charming loneliness , felt alone on its own
for the friend,whose war, as if it waged,
when the pain was warm enough...

Their love rained and soon everything erased..

The Unexpected Visitor

It was a regular summer afternoon, dull & dreary,
Generally the mood around was tired & weary,
When suddenly the sun disappeared from the sky,
And black clouds from end to end began to glide.

To everyone’s surprise for it was Feb end,
The rain Gods seemed to be setting a strange trend,
For without any kind of warning nuzzle,
There began a gentle incessant drizzle.

Soaked in were the unwary by the sudden shower,
While ominously the black clouds continued to tower,
A flash of lightning, a lone thunder growl,
Amazed further the bemused souls.

Me in the meanwhile having been drenched too,
From my window now soaked in the mesmerizing view,
Saw the beauty, experienced the rains,
Felt the atmosphere with all my senses.

The glowing sky, the glistening trees,
The birds in them looking ill at ease,
The fragrance of wet soil overpowering my mind,
The weather was of a hypnotic kind.

The crisp cool air so fresh to breathe,
With an occasional whiff of a gentle breeze,
Raised up in me a joyous thrill,
As did the rain drops bouncing on my window sill.

At night though in a tone subdued,
The gradual pitter-patter continued,
By which into sleep I was gently lulled,
As into blankets I remained cuddled.

The morning was a sight to see,
The weather was calm, the rain had ceased,
The air was bracing & cool to sniff,
Awoke all my senses with its one whiff.

And the sky, it was such a ravishing sight,
Looking intensely fresh and bright,
The nature in general looked so clean,
As if through a laundry it had been.

At this point I saw towards the horizon,
Where among the multitude of clouds rose the sun,
And as its golden aura it spread around,
I stood there – one soul – silent & spellbound.

Demon in the Night

I stand brave at might within my room
Without a single sight of fear
As thunder roars from outside
My heart as pure as gold
This ugly bloody demon came upon me
Face so gruesome yet posed expression without a soul to take
Here in a home of faith that lingers in
Thou demon in the night you can not have my heart nor soul and steal it within this night
As the demon spoke to me in tounges
I could not understand words that's been spoken
And as I pray on my knees with my merry roseary beds in palm
I wished for this demon to banish forever from my sight
And never again to appear to me within thee night
That demon in the night can harm me no more

We pamper humanity
In our society
Peace and justice bring unity
In every community
Greedy and corruption
Only hinder development of any nation
Fighting for leadership
Only discard friendship
Bring hatred among us
War upon war cause exodus
Left wounds, pain and frustration inside our heart
And divided us apart
Let us discourage nepotism
And stop racism
Only then we will live in a friendly
And happy world eternity
I always write
No more black and white
On every wall
I go no matter how short or tall
I only need peace to rain
And wash our dirty brain
Live like brothers and sisters
Ever those we came for different mothers
It is dishearted to see committing homicide
What on earth ruin your life to commit suicide?
Syria we need peace to rain
Asia we need peace to rain
America we need peace to rain
Africa we need peace to rain
May God bring peace in every part of the world
God hear my word

The voice of Rain: New Phase

It's raining here & there
a refresh tone is coming,
Bubbles on the earth where
a life is to be remaining,
Thunderstorms on the sky
behave like a blast of bomb,
The rain wants to be try
to the heart, it's happy tomb,
The rain is singing something
& dancing here and there,
The rain is saying something
for the life, it is where,
For the newness of cropfields
the rain is play the role,
The greenery all over the fields
the rain is only whole,
The rain for the newly buds
that coming over the flower,
It is like a flow of sheds
the rain is only shower.....

Stranger In Moscow

Such a heavy rain
Where is my mom and dad am
As I woke I locked my windows
Never having in mind of such

Cold feet and hands with shocks
and gloves, with phones
chatting friends on the couch
The skies are heavy but we
never felt any weight on, tho
the wind can blow you away if
he decides

So much can a blunt do, cuz
you always think deep. As the
cool sweet breeze caress your
No sounds, no noise is heard,
only the familiar rhythm of the

As the lighting and thunders
introduce there presence
On your own authority
restrained by the rain, a natural
rule that you don’t stay outside
the rain, except the stranger in

Monsoon Lullaby

Another sleepless night,
Not alone,
But, if only,
Love requited,
I know better than this.
Tiny drops of bitter tears,
Sour grapes bloated on fears,
Silver moon, juniper breeze,
Tick, tock, tick.
Iridescent sands of time,
Hours crawl.
Seconds fly,
On broken wings.
Lightning in a lavender field,
Desperate love, refuse to yield.
Pitter-patter of tiny toes,
Heaven weeps above.
Drowning in your thirst,
Praying, please.
Grains of glitter,
Death upon descent.
Flutter shut, worn and weary,
Lashes, window, wet and teary.
A distant grumbling cry
Monsoon lullaby.

My Rain

Knocks my door, the sound of rain outside
together sings along, all my blues inside
a sad melancholy, in its thunderous recite
flood of thoughts, not willing to go aside.
Not a scale above or a level of grain below
filling those sockets, dancing in their shallow
once again brim full, letting that river flow
volume in abundance, there's always more tomorrow.
Scenes pass abreast, the leftover days before
always find deceived, there's no one outdoor
moments in escape and waits by the shore
worn-out and weary, whats to say more.
Snared between ends, a tough of war
road of maze unwinds, never sure how far
disguised in cold, pillars no more in fear
another fate descends, a price to pay forever.

when love is like rain

       Sometimes love is like rain
Immeasurable when outpoured
Or love is as a seed of a tridax
Cannot be taken back when given
Can love be as the sun
Brightening the very lives of all who see it

Is love truly a trap
As I have heard from my peers
Is it a diversion into doom
Is it a complicated path to hell before hell

I read from tales and legends
Of the time before time
When only love existed
A time before man was made
Before earth was born
Could this be true

Love is told to be beautiful and strong
And it will continue to exist
Till time shall end and begin again
Could this be its reality
I’m standing still and waiting
To see what love has to offer

Anticipation of the Rain

                                    A black cloud descends
                                    Each flower grows hopeful
                                    In jubulation, kissed lilys make noisy ovations!
                                    Pretty quenched roses sing triumphantly!!
                                    Unfettered, violets whistle!
                                    "WONDERFUL"! xclaims yellow zinnias!

November rain

The October rain knocked
Tap tap tap
On my roof one day
I opened the door to the wind
And the breeze burst in
Covering me all over with spray

I closed the door
But tap tap tap
Continued to rap on my roof
I yelled Stupid rain!
And they did it again
And they never did cease to do

I covered my ears
But still, tap tap tap
Continued to leap in my thoughts
I sat on my bed
Turned over with dread
And seemed not to notice it stop

(I couldn't figure out what form this poem is. If you know the answer, please comment! the rhyme pattern is A, B, C, D, D, C)

Daydreaming on wendsday morning

im sitting in class,
the rain keeps falling
my mother keeps calling
my mind is empty
but it keeps on thinking
the teacher stares at me
i feel like I’m shrinking
he’s trying so hard to gain my attention
But sadly I’m lost in a different dimension
I don’t care anymore, **** what you say
your useless, annoying, and put my thoughts in disarray
But the rain keeps falling
Mother keeps calling
my mind is filled with countless sadness
i answer the phone, and i feel so alone
the sounds i hear are loud and clear
im lost, im lost, im lost
in my own thoughts
the clock keeps ticking i wish it would pause
just sign the clause, sign the clause
sweet mary jane, mixed in the rain
my window pane sounds foreign and strange
your in my range your mine, but its too ealry for a valentine
i take the ultimate risk, I give her a kiss
who would think i could daydream so twisted like this
I’m lost again in my mind as it spins
I gain focus, class has ended
This is fair better than the life I pretended
Now I can go off and take on the world
I was daydreaming in English of that one special girl

running in the rain

Running in the rain
Running in the rain
Your running in the rain
Not to get wet, As the drops fall on your head.
Trying to dodge each drop as they fall.
You keep running in the rain.
You have no umbrella for today.
The rain  drops do fall.
Harder and harder. You don't want no more.
Run my friend the rain drops won't stop
They call for rain all week long.

Dance In The Rain

Rain, it is so refreshing.
Go outside.
Dance in the rain.
Hold your head back
let it wash all your pain away.
Throw your arms open wide
spin your body around.
Do not be afraid to show
what you are feeling inside.

Feel the small drops
as they fall on your face.
Swish the wet  grass
between you bare toes.
Making you smile
like the warmest embrace.

Feel the rain as it kisses your lips.
Open your mouth
let the rain fall inside.
Taste the sweet nectar.

Feel as it falls on your skin
each drop like a caress of the wind.
Close  your eyes
let your mind soar...
Let your spirit out
feeling free.
As you run your
fingers through your hair.

Listen to the melody
it will soothe and comfort your heart.
Mother nature can heal you.
Dance in the rain
feel your soul take flight.

Let your mind be soothed
and wish for another rainy day.
