O' Christmas Card

              *                               *
A bountiful cascade, delivers enchantment, * *
             featuring, glittering holograms.
Iridescent jubilance, kindles loveliness. *
Moonlight nestles over peaceful quietude.

Resplendent stars, twinkle, *
            uncovering velvet’s wonderland. *

Slam the Door

Slam the Door

Slam shut the door,
The weather is freezing!
Under his bed covers Tony is sneezing,
Vulnerable to the cold winds.
Warm your hands by the fire,
Xanthophiles are welcome.
Yes, slam shut the door!

Just a day
“Good Night Mom and Dad” I said before I went to bed. “We love you” they said as they closed the door
Mom comes in and wakes me up “Time to go to school” as my feet hit the floor
I got dressed and ate breakfast and got my book bag and now we are on the go
We sit in the car listening to music “It’s Friday I think I’m a little excited tho
“Alright baby we here” as mom open the door to let me get out
She closed the door and kissed me on the head told me she loved me before she pulled off
Another day of school and it close to Christmas
I can’t wait to see Ashley and Alexus, today is show and tell as I said in a whisper
We had learning center day and Boy! Was it fun!
Today was a free day and on Friday there isn’t much to learn
The room was quite when the was a knock at the door, the door opened
A man with a big gun was standing there; my classmates panicked and started to run
I heard a lot of noises and a lot of screams
I felt a sharp pain in my back as I dropped to my knees
In the distant I heard more screams and then everything went silent
Then I closed my eyes it went dark and on the cold floor I was dying
The other side
It’s Thursday night and off to bed we go
I kiss my 5 year old son Jaden and told him I loved him so
Alarm clock goes off and it’s around 6:15 in the morning
I shower got dress and woke up Jaden my little darling
Its Friday, I fixed him breakfast and we headed out for the this last day until the weekend
I enjoyed our little drives to school as we sat in the car singing
I opened the door to let him out once more
Kissed him on the head and told him I loved him ill pick him up around four
I’m at work drinking coffee just talked to my husband on the phone
Got at my desk started to work and the my office phone rung
It’s about 9:30 and it was Jaden’s school
I got the news he was dead and I started to puke
I’m crying uncontrollably don’t know my next move
My son is dead, I can’t believe this news
I hurried to the school in the best of my ability
I saw the school surrounded by medics, reporters, and police
I ran to a officer and demanded to see my son
He said “I’m sorry ma’am” I can’t do this at this time
At 9:32 my one and only son Jaden was pronounced dead
The shooter was 20 and took my son’s life in his own hands
The questions continue to flow through my head as I search for answers
I don’t need answers I need my son and his laughter
I am now sitting on his bed trying to swallow tears
My husband holds me close as reality nears
My little boy is gone among the other 19 kids
Heaven has 20 new angels now I hope he knew how much I love him as much as I did

A healthy Kenyan Ego Poem

A huge ego breaks off love’s embrace,
A tiny ego slips off love’s embrace,
No ego, no embrace of love!

A selfless ego suffocates from love’s embrace,
A selfish ego wards off love’s embrace,
No ego, no embrace of love!

A super-visual ego overshadows love’s embrace,
A deep-seated ego is colonized by love’s embrace,
No ego, no embrace of love!

A healthy ego humbly looks above,
A healthy ego can lead and also serve...

Its nerves know not pressured blood,
But developing it is almost hard!

A Christmas Poem

Scattered floors with scarlet wraps,
A sturdy, firm, Christmas tree.
The smell of pinecones fill the air
As I search for you and me.

I’m looking for you because
I believe in destiny and fate.
That I met you for a reason,
But the reason, it shall wait.

Through our sporadic discussions
And strange remarks,
And our insightful silences
And unique embarks,

I have discovered that you,
You are cognizant of almost everything.
And that to find you, all that must simply be done
Is to find an aura constantly varying.

And the reason why I search for me
Is the same as why I search for you.
Like how I’m still uncovering your character,
Because I’m doing it for me too.

Even though it’s not Thanksgiving,
I think Christmas is the perfect time
To say a simple thanks and let you know,
You have an incredible mind.
They say miracles happen when
A man rides in the sky,
But I think they happen every day,
Even though they pass us by.

It’s just that we don’t recognize
What kindness is until we see
what people do and say
and the people they could be.

Christmas isn’t special because
We get gifts or because someone was born.
It’s the laughter and feelings
Shared and unworn.

I’m searching for you because
I need to say these things,
Like how you’re atrociously amazing,
and tell you about the gifts you bring.

We’re always far out but we always come back
To a small and homey place.
I hear music, smell fresh made cookies,
See wreaths and hanging laces.
There are scattered floors with scarlet wraps
A sturdy, firm Christmas tree.
The smell of pinecone fills the air,
As I search for you and me.

Red, gold, yellow, green and blue
Are the colors of Christmas, which glow.
They help us feel their value within
As we travel our way through the snow.

Red stands for passion, anger or desire
Gold is the steadiness of love.
Yellow is fear of the unforeseen
Green and blue are the stars above.

The luster of Christmas can be yours
Most anywhere at a nearby store.
To purchase and adorn your tree and home .
Celebrating life, Jesus and more.

The Real Christmas Joy

The Real Christmas joy

Once again its that time of the year
The hustle and bustle that makes everyone cheer
There’s so many things that we “need” to do
But we should really be focusing on you
You gave us your son on this special day
Because you love us in every way
The holidays are focused on shopping, gifts, and toys
But these aren’t the true Christmas joys
The holidays should be about you and your love
Not about earthly things but on things above
You sent your son, hes here to save me
Oh how much better that is than a Christmas tree
We have to remember why Jesus came
So that we could be saved and glorify your name
We have to remember that during this season
We celebrate Christmas for only this reason
Now c’mon and let’s drop everything
It’s time to go worship and give praise to the kind

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas
Shoppers, and
Poor women and poor men
With wallets
And without.

Merry Christmas
Whoever is in his or her little cell,
Little box,
In jail for a day
Or for life
For whatever reason.

Merry Christmas
Merry past Christmas
Merry present Christmas
Merry future Christmas
Without exception,
Or exclusion.

Merry Christmas
people from
Or another galaxy.

Merry Christmas
new born,
Children who are left behind,
And future humanity.

Merry Christmas
Street’s poets,
Merry Christmas
Low-wage happy faces,
And the running delivery man.

Merry Christmas
Single mothers,
Single fathers,
And lonely adventurer
In the wilderness.

Merry Christmas,
And prairies
Of America.

Merry Christmas,
Who is attached to the past
And who is planning for the future.

Merry Christmas soldier.
Merry Christmas soldier.
Merry Christmas soldier.
Merry Christmas
And firefighter.

Merry Christmas
My friends
My street mates
My Café mates, and
My bus mates.

Merry Christmas
The cheerful,
The antagonistic
The angry
The bored
The one who feels it is not worth it
The one who is almost there
The one who can not make it.
The one who will not make it.

Merry Christmas
Who is sleeping,
And who is dreaming,
Who is on the road,
Who is traveling
Or who is orbiting
Around the planet.

Merry Christmas
And the European:
The first who came
And the last who are trying.
Merry Christmas
The lost and found
Merry Christmas Native America.

Merry Christmas Eileen.

On christmas day. will you be looking,
For a special gift under your tree?
Are you hopeing it will be waiting,
Wrapped in a pretty bow for you to see?

On christmas day, will you remember,
The true gift that was given to all on this day?
His name was Jesus, and He was wrapped in swaddling clothes,
And in a manger box He was laid.

So, Jesus did come in a box,
Wrapped for all to see!
Mary's precious little boy
Was a christmas gift for you and me!

So, every year, we should remember,
The gift given to us from above,
The gift that was not wrapped in a bow,
But a gift that was wrapped in eternal love.

What Exactly is Christmas

What Exactly is Christmas?
By: Caroline Knudsen

Christmas isn’t just about the presents you receive and the food.
It’s not based on all the cute decorations.
It’s more than that.
Christmas is about the birth of Christ.
The joy and love that spreads throughout the communities everywhere.
The giving; the wishes granted. The happiness people encounter.

Some people may wonder why people are so cordial and magnanimous around this time of year.
I will tell you this.
One person begins to go spreading good cheer.
And the best way to do that is singing loud for all to hear.
And soon those people begin spreading and spreading and spreading.
Once people get in the spirit people give people love, people celebrate.
So during Christmas time, we go around spreading good cheer,
so people can begin to give, to love, and to celebrate.

We all know that there are many people who are less fortunate.
People who cannot afford gifts or a tree.
 Not even a home.
But during Christmas time, people realize it’s time to reach out.
To grab a hand, to grant a wish.
There are many organizations like Operation Christmas Child, Toys for Tots, Sugarplum Trees.
All of those corporations help do that.
Help grant a wish.
So during Christmas time, we decide to give, to care for someone who needs it.

In a little town called Bethlehem, a young Virgin named Mary came to give birth to her child.
But her child was not just any new creation.
She was going to give birth to Jesus the Messiah.
Not one room was empty on that night, but just a small barn.
And soon that night, she gave birth to our Savior in a manger. Something cattle ate from, our Savior was laid upon. So on Christmas day we celebrate Jesus’s birth.

So I hope by now you have learned that Christmas isn’t just about the presents you receive or the food.
It’s not based on all the cute decorations.
It’s more than that.
Christmas is about the birth of Christ.
The joy and love that spreads throughout the communities everywhere.
The giving, the wishes granted. The happiness people encounter.

The season of hope, the season of giving,
The time to reflect on the life you've been living.
Children innocent, gleeful, jolly,
Masquerading in magical midnight folly.

Token gifts exchanged with teary eyes,
Sentimentality to make up for expressionless lies.
The streets lined bright with twinkling lights,
Amaretto, giddy to dispell never-ending nights.

The anticipation is welcomed into their chests,
The disillusioned only waiting to end their direst.
Simply a day if you've no one to share with,
Only a waiting game, until it is over with.

Just one day yet it's been another year,
Rejection was always your biggest fear.
Melancholia swelling in your heart, loneliness growing more,
Then Christmas is over and it's all back to how it was before.

A Child's Christmas

Oh wonder of light
How you shine
On this night
A star as bright
As can be
Above the tree
A child is free
Of worlds make belief
Where wishes
Come true
And no one feeling blue
Upon this magic night
Where stars shine bright
It's Christmas tonight
In a stable upon this morn
A baby child was born
Speak heavenly dreams
A child's Christmas
Above the tree

Christmas Time

A long gaze
out the window
you see the cold road
covered in bright
white winter snow
as the cold wind blows
you hold close
the hot mug of chocolate to unfroze
your tingling fingers and toes
tiny balls of marshmallows floating on top
like fallen snow balls that drop
to fill the stockings up with presents
this time of year, is about spending time
with family and friends, peers
as the nights drawing in
my son's was making his
Christmas list
i see how happy he his
and i feel like the kid
holding his dreams, as i kiss
him good night
dressing up as Santa for the night
the feeling of Christmas morning, as a child
now as a farther i get to see my child’s smile
hands frozen from making our snowman
grab the hat and scarf take a picture that will last
for ever that's how i can relive this moment
in this poem
as we watch as Rudolf reindeer
flying over the night sky
the family round the table festive cheer
as the night
closes drinking wine and beer
laughing and joking
gone has another year,
breathing in the heated air
as I'm falling asleep in grandpa's chair......

Thank You Jesus

Through my trials and tribulations
Lord guide my decisions.
Through my journey, my paths,
Lord guide my mission.
You know my heart.
For better days you know that I'm wishing.
Living the street life was never in my vision.
Through in the hook, got the bate
for prosperity, I'm fishing.
Watching the air to catch my blessings.
Paying close attention.
If it wasn't for you Lord
I wouldn't be where I'm at.
Walking with me like footprints
Lord, I thank you for that.
You are my best friend.
I'm so happy that we met.
Loving you above all.
I will never regret.

Christmas is a wonderful day
This is the message what we say,
It fills our joy, with tremendous feeling
that gives us gladness of loving.

Sweets, cakes, combrolls, chocolates fills with pleasure
This is what Christmas is that we cannot measure
This is the moment of cosmos, which we treasure

Birth of Jesus- our redeemer
Wished by the three kings so eager
Mistle toes, Christmas tree so decent,
Children awaiting Santa with present
Christmas on 25th December followed by New Year
So Merry Christmas and Happy new year to one and all dear.

Santa an Angel

Christmas is on the corner
And Santa rings the bell
He brings gifts in his red bag maybe a car or a new cell
He comes from North Pole where it's very cold
And he likes to drink hot chocolate and eat some chocolate mould
For him all are equal no one is rich no one is poor
He helps everybody and grants their wish just like an Angel
He is the one who has no hatred only love
Though he is a little plump and curve,
His laugh is what makes the world laugh
Our smile means the world to him
Let's promise ourselves that not to trouble our angel by being a bad child,
Let's promise ourselves that not to get wild,
We love our angel our SANTA!!!

Christmas Lost

 Christmas Lost

A Long
Long Time Ago...
There was a moment I saw the music in the leaves
Winter turned in to lights among the Christmas trees
Looking up and down the street
I smelled the musty screen looking out my window
alone among the changes that left me in a breeze
I looked at all the lights and knew every thing would change
some how I understood nothing would be the same
Illuminating all the ruff hopes of the living adults
Because poor as poor as we could be
Yet I saw on Christmas Day
Adult eyes tears of Debt they would see
A cry of laughter on what Santa gave
Radio Flyer to the kids delight.
Tommy got a pennie tonight
Mary rocked her doll all night
and I slept with my new
kitten all night.
I Now understand

I hear Christmas is coming

I hear Christmas is coming,
Santa songs people are humming.
Crazy days and cuddly nights,
Joy and love, fairy lights.
Hushed tones, mindless giggles
resound,sweet memories, curious glances
all around.
Yes, I hear Christmas is coming.
Can you hear the festive drumming?

Soon roast turkeys will sizzle in the oven,
puddings and dundee cakes eaten by the
Munching on piles of dried fruits and
and women will be exchanging juicy
Christmas will forever remain a gem
as a special boy was born in Bethlehem.
Yup, I hear Christmas is coming,
dancing with guitars strumming.

Baubles and bright lights dangling from
children coming out of grottos with
It's this festival that teaches giving.
Do some good deeds while you're living.
In Heaven Jesus is praying for our
I'm sure He is hasty for His arrival.
Ho! Ho! Ho! I hear Christmas is coming.
It is time for redeeming.

Folks on the streets are dancing and
Even the grumpy ones seem to be
Christmas miracles touch all mankind.
Grouches become givers, selfish become
No reasons for sadness, no excuses for
the spirit of Christmas heals the ailing.
It's true Christmas is coming.
The joyous fever is just resuming.

In everyone is seen childhood innocence.
Intimacy and charity is common for once.
Chocolate coins and Advent calenders are
in vogue,
Visits are frequent to a Church or
Everyone joins in to celebrate Christmas.
They have waited for this day with
Chanting in the air, Christmas is coming.

Winter Christmas

A beautiful Christmas day,
Bright warm winter days,
Clouds fluffy and white ,
Decorations on the exquisite Christmas tree,
Each homemade, like cookies or popcorn garlands,
Frost on the window pains, icy and decorative,
Gold and beige velvet ribbons,
Happy and healthy foods at Christmas,
Icicles long and jagged along the rooftops,
Jays blue and white sitting in an evergreen tree,
Kings of the Orient, carrying gifts for the Christ child,
Love and kindness at Christmas
Mary mother of Jesus and wife of Joseph,
Newly fallen snow, fresh and crisp,
Osentacious gatherings enhanced, and sociable,
Praises for the festive season,
Quiet snowflakes falling gently on the earth,
Royal and regal celebrations,
Silent night to be revered,
Tunes of Christmas sung by the choir,
Universal days of friendship and good will,
Variety of entertainment to celebrate the season,
Wealthy winter days filled with favorite sports,
Xtra hours to be together for the winter vacation,
Yesterday and today's Christmases revered,
Zealous ambitions during the Christmas season and thankfulness.

Just Waiting For Me

What is it, what is it.
I'm delighted to see,
Well there's a big package,
just waiting for me.
I want to unwrap it,
I'm delighted to see.
There's this big package,
just waiting to be.
Can it be, is it, see,
I really do not know?
Let's open it, let's open it,
This big package bestowed.

It's just waiting for me!

Jesus our only hope

Where is the shelter for thy drowning heart
Refuge from the stromy winds
That strive to havoc thy life and depart

Where is rest from the unceasing pain
When all thy strength has ceased
And all thine efforts ends up in vain

When darkness surrounds thee
And there is no way ahead to see
When thy hopes are wrecked
Leaving thy souls out of deck

Where do thyself go??
Lo,there stands a man with arms open wide
"all ye people with burden and heavy laden come unto me I will give you rest" says he
Where there is peace on his side

O what comforting father is he
A light in the darkness
For thine eye to see

Place thy life on thee
For he is God,
For thou'st want him to be

unfinished christmas

It was the eve of Christmas in the shoe-like
A night of bygone Christmas days retelling.
But by the stroke of twelve they were all snug in
their beds,
Cradled with blankets of knitted threads.

The crackling fire left their cheeks the gentlest
Rosier than the angel who looked upon the room.
But then the clock began to chime as if to tell,
That somewhere nearby rang a faint silver bell.

I wanna go home for Christmas

Cold, lonely, long nights
endless hours before dawn.
The flickering candle in the night,
brings up yawn after yawn.
I know I want some sleep
but the hill I'm climbing is steep.
Each and every limb of my body,
creaking, screaming, protesting,
composed into an ill-tuned melody.
Dejected, I'm down, kneeling.
Every night seeing same nightmares,
every day plagued with scares.
People see me covered in blood stains,
little do they know, I too have aches and
The only music is the gunfire sound,
and I dance when the bullets pound.
How long can I hold on,
now my patience has gone.
I'm getting on the next bus
I wanna go home for Christmas.

Memories of me and her
lying beside the fireplace.
It's a wet, windy December,
everything moving at slow pace.
Two lovers in a tight embrace,
my eyes glued to her face.
Wishing the night can stay forever,
and these moments leave us never.
No words spoken at all,
her kiss just says it all.
I wanna live that life again,
leave the stench of dust and drain.
Sick and tired of bombs and tanks,
can't bear the same silly pranks.
I wanna ditch the ugly uniform,
I've had enough of this storm.
Now I will leave all this fuss
I wanna go home for Christmas.

I've killed humans like chickens,
after every slaying my blood thickens.
Corpses are lying all around me,
these bloody scenes no longer astound
I know from history that war never ends,
I dread soon I will be left with no friends.
My mom is crying every hour of the day,
and my dad's hair have all turned grey.
I hear my kid is living like an orphan,
and my once-bubbly wife is now quiet as
a nun.
I wish someone could stop this war,
end the game of blood and gore.
We've seen countries amBushed, many
others under attacks,
Will we ever stop rulers from being
I'm not waiting for answers
I wanna go home for Christmas.

One day I will be lying dead in a ditch.
Those in authority will play the role of an
A memorial will be erected long after I die.
My wife will receive my medal and a
shoulder to cry.
Her tears will be dried but the scars will
Someone will replace me on some
unknown terrain.
And if I survive I will come back with
Or lying helplessly on the bed as an
But before all this happens,
I'm calling the missus
I wanna go home for Christmas.
I'll tell her
"Honey, I'm coming home for Christmas,
Never gonna go back to the trenches"
