ONLY EVER WITH YOU

O N L Y E V E R W I T H Y O U Only ever with you, I love to have and hold into the circle of your arms, I'll unfold; into your blue eyes' greeting shine, my gold; only ever with you, I yearn to grow old... Only ever with you I can write rhymes as such for you bring my muse from dust to dash, to hush Only ever with you my being wants to attach as first step already taken to our primrose path Only ever with you, tips dance linger to cherry lips Slow summer hands will roam vast to wonderland Whence pearl white peel smooches chocolate skin only ever with you, heartbeats climbs a boiling point Stars and moon may leave the dark skies yet, one look at the gleam of your blue eyes day and night, I see the rising sunrise. Only ever with you, I will dive to lows or heights for only ever with you, I'll plunge to infinity. Prayers plea asking blessings from Divinity to tie two hearts and two souls in sole unity. Mindless to whatever is there in humanity Only ever with you... _______________________________________________ POEM OF THE DAY -- February 27, 2015 ©O. E. Guillermo 5:32 pm, February 26, 2015

I Think Of You - At The Edge - 3

A reflection of the coloured pencil drawn sky
skates on the glass smooth surface below it.
While a rebellious group of shades take their positions
on a glorious stage to express themselves artistically and
I...

i think of you

Wisps of clouds shaped like a palm leaf
fan the winds that stoke the fire
of a randomly sketched sunset.
I...

i think of you

The cool of an ocean breeze
travels the shadows of this low lit evening.
Caresses my skin like the essence of romance.
Enthralled by the allure of a candle lit sky,
I...

i think of you...

Our French Bakery early mornings.
Café au lait and croissants.
Our freesia soaked baths.
Your mink soft body.
Its milk and honey scent.

As I fall off
the edge of the world,
I...

i think of you.

On One Knee

if you wanted to dance with me
i mean really wanted to dance with me
then i would
i would dance with you

if you needed me to walk on water
i would stand there until the lake froze
then i would
i would walk on water for you

if you suggested i climb
a mountain
warm at the bottom
freezing at the peak
i'd buy you a snow globe
turn it upside down and up
hold your hand warm
watch the freezing snowfall
climb your suggestion creatively

if you mentioned
you'd like me to paint your portrait
i'd buy every different colour of acrylic paint I could find
blend them on a canvas
paint your colourful internal portrait
every crayon in the box
that's who i see

if you said move me
i wouldn't hire a truck
or even touch one stick of furniture
i would write this poem for you
put a bow on it
fingers crossed
i would move you

your lips are always on my mind

if you want a man
willing to do...
...a man...
...hold you gentle but firm

i'm here

ring in hand
on one knee

We'll Always have San Andreas

-rearranging the stars-

How could we agree to separation?
If you were destined to be my soulmate,
Why would we allow the stars to change our fate?
They've written in a fresh verse
Sewing in a new song, soon to be sung
The Stars are not to blame
The fault lies deep within our hearts

Like earthquakes wondering through the years
separating silicone valley of tears.
Sweeping sweet dreams far away
What has become of my day?
Today the sun sets holding on to old hope
Tears fall down a sudden slope

Now my dreams are drowning down another road
Tonight I sit under the aspen cold
Alone, no longer in search of gold
Naming nights you whispered words of love to my soul

Your love no longer speaks
Without warning, the Midas touch slowly fades
In my chest - I find fault
The sound of heartache echoes every day
Rejuvenating every crack from display
In plain sight, I search for thee
The sun -The moon -The madness -The Salton Sea
My heart no longer speaks

Everything I dream of sinks like the night
Stuck in quicksand -- the aftermath
Healing scars the aftershock left behind
Finding ways to fill the gloom
Alas bridal curtains sit silently in my room
Setting boundaries between Earth's poetic plates
Like an earthquake passing through my heart
You left like the moon, moving mountains apart

IS THERE SOMETHING YOU forgot TO TELL Me, dear
Suddenly, San Andreas Fault looks tragic from here
Until then I will hold my breath
In hopes, our Plates will meet again

Forever Loved

You could never be mad at me
Wise old man whom my heart could see
You were there when I needed you
Just a young child so full of life
Causing many an adult strife
If I lied you could see right through
You could never be mad at me
Wise old man whom my heart could see

Because of you I changed my ways
Have respect till my dying days
You were there when I needed you
If I lied you could see right through
You could never be mad at me
Wise old man whom my heart could see

Night in Andalusia

I lounge lazily on my deck chair
up high in the spacious loggia
loafing the time away, patient, waiting.....
The ocean flows into the small bay
as the sun sets far away over the horizon.
From below electric lights flash on
one by one and guitars are strummed.
The smell of paella wafts up
towards my rumbling stomach,
but I sit on, unmoved, immobile, waiting.
The summer heat is scarcely relieved
by the faint ocean breeze. Salty sweat
runs down my unshaven face,
a welcome taste as my tongue licks
the sides of my parched lips.
The murmur of people reaches me.
She has arrived and the guitars sing.
So does my heart as I behold my wife.
Slowly she pirouettes on her dainty toes,
her skirt resembling a veronica,
like a cape that baits the bull
in a Spanish bloody arena.
I cannot see her red red lips
that taste like lavender in height of summer,
I can just barely make out her silhouette,
her sexual curves, her lithe footing,
her inviting mien, her head held high,
a proud senora dancing just for love.
Soon the dance will end and I...
why I just wait till she'll come to me,
in the dark cover of the night.
with a tequila and a night of love.

To Him who Loves Me

He held me through the maelstrom of my heart
strong arms of comfort, chest of solid might
with soothing touch the healing he did start
he brought the rays of sun to warm my night

the whispers in my ear were tender, sweet
they breathed into my soul his courage fierce
he vanquished all the cold with flaming heat
and placed his balm on wounds that lies did pierce

my heart he touched and made to beat once more
my eyes he kissed with truth, and I could see
On lips his love with kisses he did pour
he arms a haven that was meant to be

To him who loves me with such constant care
my dreams, my soul and body I will bare

Barbie

Barbie
from Loch
March 5, 1990

I fell in love in a biker bar
with a girl in chocolate hair.
It swept around her like a smoky fire
and woke up the beast in my lair.

Her bright eyes twinkled like brilliant stars
at the end of the moonless road--
they called to me like a siren song
to lay down my heavy load.

Tall she was like a square rigged ship
	like a mast shrouded in clouds;
and she could dance like a foamy wave,
	making Neptune cry out loud.

But the path of a ship is a bubble
	and suddenly she was gone--
her chocolate hair and vanilla neck
are moments in my sad song.

This siren's memory seizes me
like cinnamon schnapps and a grin
which warm the body from the inside out
and settle a smile on your chin.

Her dancing hair drove my clouds away
	and opened an azure sky;
and all I asked was a tall, thin ship
and two stars to steer me by.

Among all the women I've danced with
	none are remembered so fair
as a girl who walked like a tall ship,
and had waves of chocolate hair.

The Treasure Of Giving

The thing with giving is Expectation... The treasure of giving is the giving itself without expecting anything in return. A loan creates dependency, inequality. *** I bend over and kiss you while you are sleeping The fragrance of your helpless frailty Softness of your skin I cherish I rub this balm in the palms of my hands to warm it, to give you pause of sickness softness without pain And I lift you against me Gently I Smile in your ear You whisper soft tufts of warm air in my neck You give me the gift of tenderness You expect nothing in return I only ask to be here, with you, I give you my life to love you forever *** April 4, 2017 Copyright © Darren White

Yesterday

Yesterday

Yesterday I forgot the shade of your eyes
I struggled to remember your touch
Today I forgot the sound of your voice
Each day I don't miss you so much
In the end you only brought me sorrow
I wonder what I won't remember tomorrow

The Book of Love - A Wedding Poem

See it there in virgin perfection. Open its pages. They are so white that they radiate light. See the magic pen sitting by the book meant just for two. Each of you - together - Reflect the pages’ light! Then with the pen, you may write your beautiful life, for this is the Book of Love. March 31, 2017 for the Book of Love Contest of Rick Parise

Words left Unsaid

Words left unsaid as teardrops fell
The price of love, their hearts would tell
And so they parted, love took flight
And left their hearts to lonely nights
Each unable to break loves spell

Distant sound of the old church bell
Rang through seasons they knew so well
Winter to spring, summer shone bright
 Words left unsaid

Each had a broken heart to sell
As fire within they tried to quell
 Memories fade in Luna's light
Stars wished upon twinkle in sight
 Love's distant star, flickers farewell
 Words left unsaid

Indian Summer Eyes

Indian summer lies within your autumn hazel eyes, My velvet bloom vibrant now lost after your killing frost; Love lingers in bereft fingers, I stroke your face in guise, Once lustrous, amaranthine heart lies bleeding in exhaust. My velvet bloom vibrant now lost after your killing frost, Your chill withered russet my enchanted efflorescence; Once lustrous, amaranthine heart lies bleeding in exhaust, As you disperse in scarlet moonlighting vaporescence. Autumn's desires

Autumn's desires

Your amber-umber eyes, penetrate me
as saffron sun sets on faces, ashen
Your suspicious mind raves with jealousy
as pumpkin winds chill our summers passion
your love transitions to winter's fashion.

Fire and ice keep flowing through your bold veins
Wild imaginations portend cold rains.

I dream of your ruby-red crimson lips
my mind won't rest until you have returned
the touches from your ginger fingertips
we can rebuild the bridges that have burned,
then, we will laugh at all the lessons learned

I think of your flowing cinnamon hair
mem'ries of our home, and you being there.

We Danced Through Life

We danced amongst the stars that night
when joy had fallen far from sight

We danced under the sun so bright
And when all seemed lost, we held on tight

We danced to the music of hummingbirds
And we danced in the silence when there were no words.

We danced in the shadows of fear and doubt
And we danced when we questioned what life’s about

We danced amongst the evergreens
That posed for painters winter scenes.

We danced in the winters bitter chill
And when we danced our world stood still.

For that’s what love was meant to be
To find the dance when we cannot see.

To write a new song when the music stops
With lyrics that caress every tear that drops.

For when the rhythm changes and tempo slowed
We’re called to dance with the seeds we sowed.

For life is hard, there is no doubt
But Dancing through it, is what life’s about.

My Silence Speaks

I wish I could tell you
what you've done wrong
But there'd be no point
You'd explain it all away
and say, "Fight, Babe
Fight another day.
Battle scars come and go
This you should know
It's part of the game
fight another day."

I wish I could tell you
What you didn't do
That was wrong too
The hurt, it's just the same
I know, it's love's silly game
I'm done playing
You were terribly wrong
I can't be strong
I got no fight left
For another day

So, hey!
Wish I could tell you...
But, then again
My silence will let you know
I see it all
What you hide inside
Wounded pride
You lied
I cried
But if I tell you
All you'd do is deny

So...let my silence speak
Thought you're strong,
but you're weak
Fight another day...
Fight another day...

Fighting days are through
Yes, through for me and you
I have no words...no words left
So...I'll let my silence speak!

Pledge of love and loyalty

This pledge that l,Ntando, make today serves
as my guideline that I shall follow
happily, ungrudgingly and tirelessly
for the sake of our love life.
Indeed l am well aware of the fact that
the beauty of this pledge does not only lie
in word alone but in action as well.

For that reason in every season
I shall show steadfast commitment
to the implementation of this pledge
with a great deal of astuteness.
I therefore commit myself to be your
devoted and delivering husband for
all the years l shall live with you
on this earth.

I shall treat you with the love and care
you deserve as my wife.
Indeed l shall treat you with
the distinction and dignity
that is befitting of the queen of my heart.
That body, that bone, that breath
shall be my mine to treasure,
for sure;
a dearness to promote and protect
for dear life…and love!
I shall stand by and with you in all the
situations of our life.
If the situation demands that we sail,
sail we shall together.
If the situation demands that we
climb,
climb we shall together.

I know very well what l am getting into:
I am getting into a marriage that is
overflowing with blessings.
This marriage- with our mutual
commitment-
will stand the test of time.
I know very well what I am getting into:
I am getting into a relationship that
brims over with a transforming power
of love.

This marriage-with our
mutual commitment –
will transform naivety into maturity
troubles into challenges
pretence into practice
pride into progress
bachelorship into companionship.
I pledge to be your steward and partner
for all times.

I shall value the consultations
and decisions that we make as
husband and wife.
As head of the family I shall do nothing

to derail our love train for anything else
least of all for personal and selfish reasons.
Now and forever

I am your lawful and loving husband…
This pledge that l, Nothando, make today serves
as my guideline that I shall follow
happily, ungrudgingly and tirelessly
for the sake of our love life.
Indeed I am well aware of the fact that
the beauty of this pledge does not only
lie in pronouncements but in practice
as well.

For this reason every season
I shall demonstrate untiring love
and loyalty to you;
a love and a loyalty that is a living
embodiment of our marriage vows.
I therefore commit myself to be your
honouring, supportive and loving wife
for all the years l shall live with you.
I shall treat you with the love and care
that you deserve as my husband.
Indeed I shall treat you with
the dignity and nobility that is befitting
of the king of my heart.
On my mind it is always fresh
that I am the flesh of your flesh.
Green or grown

I am the bone of your bone.
I know very well what I am getting into:
I am getting into a relationship that
elevates me into a kingdom of wifehood.
I shall endevour to put my family first
with all the rights, obligations
and privileges that come with wifehood.
I shall endevour to wipe off and ward off
loneliness and lostness from our relationship,
seeking nothing but your companionship;
banking on your stewardship,
sinking together any hardship.
Since you are mine
I shall not do anything else to undermine
our relationship for personal
or egotistical
reasons.
Now and forever
I am your lawful and loving wife…

STARS LIGHT, THEY SHINE BRIGHT

STARS LIGHT, THEY SHINE BRIGHT Glowing gems that dress the night, I yearn to know your brightness art blinking quick, blinking slow my running thoughts you make them go... From arid desert to distant worlds, stars white shimmer a wordless speech: their wink--a gift of hope to travelers who dare tread the darkest steep. In my arms, I have one little star so mild, so child, my antidote to fear twinkle in her eyes, my happiest tear years ebb my star bloom to a big star I clap loud for my star scintillates from afar Amidst terrors strike, she, standing still her Venus light shining in the flight of years. She soft-hearted despite some limiting steel My star swim, swim to life's stream 'til pass a tide, she found her hearts' star One day he said: "she is his dearest" so eighth of February, they breath their vows Soon, after a year, my before little star now cradles her own baby star. Her eyes so deep, her grin so sweet, our little star add a touch of treats. Twinkle, twinkle little stars-- gleam silver above the skies let your light boogie near or far on each fair fields that before us lie. ______________________________________________ Sponsor Kelly Deschler Contest Name Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Placed 5th... I LOVE YOU EVEN IN FAR OFF PLACE

I LOVE YOU EVEN IN FAR OFF PLACE Fever of love cartwheel snaillike but where are you? Round six o'clock noon, sunken is the moon gazing behind deep orange-aubergine feather skies, its shadowy light floods the shivering sea, I, standing still amidst the tickling water, my teary eyes softly wander upon endless horizon, my hypothermic skin long for the kisses puffed by you. Barefooted, I amble along the silky sands seagulls fingers rushing to caress my feet but droplets of August rain run fast above my head. The crisp wind wafts whispering something in my ear t'was the songs we sang second week of February honeysuckle times gone but still my celcius sprint. Softly, I tread back to memoirs playing a chemistry where there catena of reactions descry revealing we... Cleansed from river tears, blessed by suns of home, my heart didn't surrender in wanting your presence soon. Crossing limitless borders where our lamp is trust, the choice to continue gleams in the name of freedom, as we daily counteract two strategic villains: the odd times and the eight thousand miles distance. Yes, afar but this NOT THE BARRIER. Us baring our souls. Us stepping onward, offering ourselves, to attain one goal. I listened close to your voice as we talk by phone My oh my, your tone, your giggle magnify my thoughts! but this not enough 'cause I yearn to hold you most. I want to ask: what is it that's not in my heart that fate acted so long in keeping us apart? Perhaps... Ah perhaps! This must be for us to rightly spell the language of love... The long distance vanguished, frozen fears diminished, sapphire eyes cushioned by cherry color skin sings as he stares whole from rosy chocolate coated cutis to eyes touching tears, directly screaming: "I love you..." __________________________________________________________ EPIC ---ONLY - Poetry Contest Sponsor Name -- SKAT A ~7th Place~ Olive Eloisa Guillermo 10:59am, July 24, 2015

YOU'VE CHANGED MY LIFE COMPLETELY

You’ve changed my life completely
Can’t bear it when we‘re apart
For every waking moment
You are forever in my heart

I can’t stop smiling when I think of you
Love everything you say and do
Can’t wait until there comes a time
When I know you’re truly mine

A word from you and I'm wearing a silly grin
You're the cream in my coffee, the sugar in my tea
I feel I can face the challenges of life and always win
You have become the missing part of me

Because of you I now feel whole
My heart is full and at last I'm content
I feel your warmth in the depths of my soul
Every second with you is a second well spent

Just a smile from you and my heart skips a beat
With you in my life I am fully complete
We have our whole life ahead to share
You’re the love of my life no other can compare

A million beautiful butterflies landed on us as we slept
They carry us to paradise where loving souls are kept
Here we're given holy blessing for the relationship we share
The angels smile in heaven when true love is in the air

A Love Story

The girl is an ultra-modern scholar,
Belongs with an upper-middle class family.
Looking very nice, smart, gets angry suddenly.
She reads M.A in English at Presidency University.
She is assimilating to the ideas of Shakespeare,
Shelley, Keats, Neruda, Byron...
Fluently speaks English, loves cricket.
Shoulders are shaken by expression.
She cries alone, laughs with everyone....

The girl is very good.

The boy is a post-modern educated son of a lower-middle class family.
He studies M.A in Bengali at Calcutta University.
He is assimilating to the routes of Vaishnab literature,
Ideas of Bharatchandra, Rabindranath Tagore, Nazrul, Jibanananda...
Writes poems, sings song, loves football.
He walks on the high-street and observes people.
He laughs alone, listens to everyone...

The boy is very good.

They are attracted by the opposite personality!
The girl wants that her lover will be a modern man.
The boy thinks that his lover will become as the mind of his.

They are changing silently
Losing individuality.

Time flows.
Love goes to another address...

Secretly Obsessed

Obsessed with the thought of you
wondering if it's only me or
if you sometimes remember the sweet things you've said
and if you meant them how I took them
or if I'm just obsessed with what's in your head

Obsessed with your very sentences
Every response I take personal
I know it's selfishness
Have you not noticed my eyes?
They hold secrets that only you can unlock
if you'd just take time to fill the thick juices of my pride
It's just boiling with lust, passion, trust and distrust
and other things I obsess over so much

I find myself writing to free myself from this prison I've created
where only you and I reside
I become confused about what I'm really feeling inside and I
try to rid the thoughts that are highly debated as false and I
begin to cry and
think of casting love spells so that the universe can deliver this affair
I know it's unfair
but I don't care

I'm obsessed with what hasn't happened between us
I'm obsessed with your heart and that the fact that
I don't think you've even noticed my selfish innuendos
and secret undertones that blatantly express my lust
Or maybe you have and you calmly remain in resistance of distrust
If you could only read my mind by simply touching my fingertips,
I'm sure I'd catch you out the corner of my eye biting your bottom lip
I'm obsessed with the passion and thoughts I think you have
Obsessing over an experience that I may never have....

TRUE LOVE SAILED OVER SEAS

TRUE LOVE SAILED OVER SEAS Have I met trouble when I met your ocean eyes for beneath that steady gaze, I reach the highest sky? Slothful moon turned grey, so the stars: tired and pale when I behold your white angelic grace. . . Distant and unfamiliar you may seem, I wasn't afraid to run, run and catch your gleam without a guarantee of us becoming one, still, I pursue to behold you, my woman. I am no Romeo nor you are not Juliet but allow me to prove, I love immaculate... Hundred miles and hundred days we may separate, yonder, seasons change, my heart to you, I dedicate. Overseas, each time the ship reach the shore, immediately like thunder, I trip to the door for me to send my love letter or find a phone excited I am, the opportunity, I don't postpone! Pity at that time, no internet or cellphones yet so the instant a signal peeps, it's you, I first check. My ears blush and so I am in fever love each time our exchange of thoughts began. Then again while we talk, sometimes, the signal fret, or without proper warning our chats end to wreck. Coins gone and so time on shore is done, again I want to dial My sunshine smile not turning to the river Nile... My heart on somersaults when they hand me your letter like a little boy with his favorite toy, I keep it near my chest awhile I am on reversed cardiac arrest, I confess. Winter feeling I have blown and within is a summer weather, ten months or a year in the middle of the sea with only your letters and photo I kiss, I, in jubilee! Years passed, I came home and I search your address, my intentions of wanting to marry you, I will express. Your parents, unsure of me, they probe too much. How many women I touched-- I gone to bed with for am a sailor, they thought to any girl I resort, I was stunned but I remain calm and quiet as I know myself, loyal to you and no one else. I tried to woo them and prove, my only love is you. God must have blessed us-- as their stone heart melt, a year later, my dream of being your husband came true. _____________________________________________________________ ©O. E. No Roundabout- Its A Straight Road

Love is ultimate, but with you it was fatal. I had lots of laughter not until I said “I love you too!”. Number two was my certified location b’cos I’ve always reverenced you so high at the topmost of priorities. Your gladness was much more than my enjoyment, it germinated into compulsory duties I had to perform. My pride became your belt and my shame, your underpants. The definition of me translated to the adoration of you. I worry to give us a balance but you hurry to topple the equilibrium. My life, a spreadsheet of your errands, subjecting my feelings into a standby to suit your taste and exhausting comfort. But one day! The slightest of contact with an acid will change the litmus colour and a continuous debt by a tenant will abruptly render him homeless. Your oil is used up, the engine is knocked and the lamp has gone dark. A heart so tender, you deserve not. Arms once warm have been frozen to rigor motes. My back is turned towards you and that beauty, you’ll never see again. Go and taste the seedlings of the city’s daughters and the well sauced soups of its young maidens. I’m no longer yours even if nature advocates for mercy. Consider my sweetness and calm now as stones mixed in dough, baked and served with vinegar. You proclaim “I’m now a completely changed man”, I believe you, but for the next girl. Know this Mr. Irresistible guy, even if you’re the last birth of all men I’ll never again present my affections for your selfish trade. Goodbye my past lover, I sincerely wish you well.

Paradise Leaving Not A Trace

Paradise Leaving Not A Trace

I took the last picture off the wall
then my broken heart started to bawl
on the floor lay your broken vows
fat they lay like bloated cows

The love sworn by your sacred heart
flipped over like an apple cart
the corner lay three mismatched shoes
I sit here , lonely, cryin' da blues

I took that picture and held it tight
sad memories of our fightin' last night
you spat upon my deep, deep remorse
grieved as you beat on that dead horse

I saw dear hope entered my heart today
I saw a picture that reminded me of you
the pretty girl had your perfect eyes
sun shining so like you in her skies

Tell me just one more time how you care
lie to me even if it is an oath unfair
whisper gasps of our sex-filled nights
baby, please forget those recent fights

Lets hang the pictures back on the walls
lock the doors, not take any damn calls
undress as we rush into mad, mad embrace
stay in that paradise leaving not a trace

Robert J. Lindley, 06/21/1976

This was my last poem written to her before my first wife and I finally
divorced. I had my best friend deliver it. He said she threw it into the
garbage can and told him to tell me to go jump into a lake. Next morn I
knocked on the door there, her mother answered. I asked for my poem back
from the garbage can, she got it and gave it to me! I have it still with dried
food stains on the last stanza.
I keep it to remind me that too late is a damn terrible place to ever be!!! This
is the first time I have ever shared it with anybody since she never even read
it.
I hope you may like it , for it shows that young fools
suffer too. And often rightly so...

WHEN I LOVE THEE

I LOVE THEE I am no voluptuous beauty nor do I live a life of purity I can only say: I love wholeheartedly with all I am so truthfully I keep my heart open though it gets hurt so often I avoid to be irate as I know love changes the heart rate.. Guys tried to coo and woo, they say words as for "only you" Yet, hard to believe it is true as I see some untrue I give chances as my heart marks with tact entrances I learned from various instances looking man in romances In places where rules impede, two persons who wants to bid Not of money but of affection, in them must be determination I love thee not of what you have… Not even of who you are but to how you are to me… If I love you, don't tell me much what to do… As me, myself will show you, I am that real and true.. Yes, I am liked by many but tell you what: I don't like this honey nor am I proud of it in anyway One is enough to make me stay Stand with me through it all, I give my best not to fall My name your sweetest call echoing in every wall.. Hold me firm yet dear; allow me to move closely We'll make it anyhow, treading smoothly on flows... We are strong, aren't we? No one moving alone Together we'll face phases in tune, though there will dunes.. ________________________________________________________ © OLIVE ELOISA D. I'm Letting You Go

I’m Letting You Go Teetering, daringly, at the edge of this precipice— clouds shrouding me in their sullen hue— contemplating liberation from a love so necessitous, as it nibbles at my subconscious, like addictive fondue. Cold as a granite headstone, mid-December, a unity sewn from misshapen adventure, now nothing to show, but the rains of November, though fluidly, I danced a decade of prefecture. Tinkering, now and then, with the idea of not free-falling, splendidly, into metempsychosis, but seeing strewn petals, of love, you forgot: no butterfly gains wings without metamorphosis And with this in mind, I brace for what lies below; sweet dreams, darling, for I’m letting you go. 16th February 2017 Again haven't gone with restrictions of syllables, etc. in format. Just went with the flow :)

Is it Not You That I Love- Collab with DM

She: (doubtful and fearful)
You love me only when you see a smile
When dancing in the breeze young and carefree
It's only then you find what is worthwhile
But you don't love what's there, the real me

He: (reassuring)
As the first morning rays shoot skyward
Your smile breaks above the horizon of my heart
Your face radiates joy, dark eyes prancing with delight
Your wind song expanding the sails of my soul
Is this not you that I love?

She: (wanting to believe)
You love me when I make you feel alright
When you are sad and need a warm embrace
You need me when you’re lonely in the night
And then you ask to have my saving grace

He: (reconfirming)
Your love is my refuge, a sanctuary of goodness
You drive away my fears, you dry my tears
Gently I tend your garden singing lightly into the night
Tongue tasting sweet love flavors upon my lips
Is this not you that I love?

She: (confident and assured)
I am the one that you have made me be
A fragile woman yet a woman strong
The faith you have in me has set me free
To be secure in love where I belong
That's why it's you that I love
